It was over whelming to see all of the artifacts in the glass case left behind by the hurricane. At the same time it was beautiful memorial.

The memorial is beautiful and very eye opening. I highly recommend visitors to the area to go by this memorial. It is a great reminder of not only the devastation that Biloxi and surrounding areas went through but also of their strength and perseverance.

Kathy TurtleToo Kent

Beautiful monument. Bolixi Town Green, hard reminders of the devistation hurricanes can cause.

Gary Rice

Hugo Hackenbush

Homeless folks meandering about. Empty alcohol bottles on the ground. The memorial itself is OK. It's in a park / open space with a gazebo.

Gerald Bryant

It hold so much in our hearts.

Amy Mathews

A list of those who died or are still missing from Katrina, along with a pole showing the water line. I was pregnant with my daughter when we fled from and lost everything to Katrina. Her brothers still remember it like it just happened but now that she is a teenager, it is important for her to know what everyone went through.

Cathalina T

Chasity Holmes

It's a very humbling and beautiful memorial, but could definitely use some upkeep. There also seems to be a homeless/drug use problem at the tree. Men and women were high and sleeping at the memorial with about 4 cops directly across the street! I enjoyed it, but would have more had there not been trash everywhere and people doing drugs 10 feet from my kids.

Brandy Sims

Informative

Always impressive. Especially that it was built in five days. A marker also shows the high water mark. Cannot imagine that water got that high.

What we went through and the lives that were lost and the lives that were saved. How the people of the coast came together. I believe it should have been a larger monument. But our politicians rather in large their pockets. Some people still are yet to recover from it. And lots of family and friends will never see each other again. But you can for sure bet that our city, county and state leaders are doing great. JS. Greed is a terrible thing. But in the end we all get what we sowed. I pray for all of the people, friends, family that this storm affected.

Writing a review for a memorial is a bit difficult. The exhibit had a good link to the local community as it displayed items contributed from some of the people and families impacted by Katrina. The exhibit was tastefully done, it was in a good location, and definitely conveyed the impact Katrina had on the community.
