Lots of amazing history.
(Translated by Google) Nice museum. As a blues fan probably great. Do not like it. (Original) Leuk museumpje. Als bluesfan waarschijnlijk geweldig. Vind het wel leuk.
A must see in this area!
Pretty nice museum with some really interesting artifacts. It could be a little bit more organized
Fun and interesting
I would call it more of a collection than a museum (especially when compared to the B.B King museum in Indianola). It has a very large collection of blues memorabilia but very little information about each artist except for Charles Musselwhite who has entire section.
I was intimidated just being in the building. This place is amazing. So much history that we need to teach and learn. Muddy Waters “Plowin’ don’t pay”.
I love this place
Delta Blues Museum is a pearl. Just a couple of minutes from the Blues highway, it has some interesting props. However, the most interesting things for me in these kind of museums are the stories. They have some awesome stories, and a more elaborate one regarding Muddy Waters. Check it out yourselve, I’d say it is definitely worth it. Oh and walk a bit in the neighbourhood, because it all looks like a movie set to me!
Awesome food and drink and had an awesome time!

Great changing exhibits of all things related to blues music and the wonderful artists.

A great place to visit
Very nice if you really love blues. Had a lot of info that I was not aware of.
Clarksdale, home of the blues
$10 admission. Plan on 1 hour. Muddy Waters childhood home (log cabin) is the key attraction. Various outfits worn by blues performers, kiosks providing background on them, and various artifacts / instruments/ personal items.
I love the blues and this was a great venue, to connect people with all of the blues history and tradition found in the Clarksdale area
A small museum honoring the Blues and its roots in the Mississippi Delta. Hopefully they can expand with more exhibits.
The museum includes a collection of memorabilia from iconic blues legends through the ages. There are signed guitars, suits and dresses, travel gear, and much more. There displays are free-standing, tall cases with informational signage. They even have larger items like Muddy Waters' log cabin! When I was there they appeared to be planning an expansion into new galleries. My self guided tour took an hour or so. If you love the blues you simply cannot miss this place.
Very interesting and informative
Awesome place with lots of blues history!!!
A shot of delta blues with fried green tomatoes, fried pickles and sweet potato fries washed down with a local beer made from pecan husks.
Good collection, great presentation.

We all went to Museum together!!!
Wonderful museum. They have expanded greatly over the years. Staff are very polite. Nice gift shop. If you love blues music or Southern culture and history - it's a very nice place to visit.
The museum is not very large but I could have easily spent 3 hours there. It contains a wealth of blues history. There are numerous video displays featuring interviews or performances. Most of the exhibits require you to read in order to understand the significance of a particular exhibit. I'm willing to bet that you'll learn a lot if that's what you want to do. Nice facility, helpful, kind staff.
Great place to visit. Love the history.
Lots of history about blues and people who sang and play. Lots of life stories of the struggles of those people very good place to visit
It's the Blues, man.
An extensive collection
(Translated by Google) Very beautifull! Small but very nice, with guitars, clothes and much more. You can't take pictures inside. To see absolutely. Even Clarksdale is very pretty and if possible it is worth thinking about spending an evening in some club in the city. (Original) Bellissimo! Piccolo ma molto bel curato, con chitarre, vestiti e tanto altro. Non si possono fare foto all'interno. Da vedere assolutamente. Anche Clarksdale è molto carina e se possibile vale la pensa passare una serata in qualche locale della città.
Great place to visit for all blues lovers.
Lot of information on Delta blues
(Translated by Google) It is worth going. We were alone visiting the museum, with background blues music that is activated from one of the information posters. I loved it. (Original) Merece la pena ir. Estábamos solos visitando el museo , con música de blues de fondo que se activa desde uno de los carteles de la información. Me gustó mucho.
Beautiful museum that we enjoyed every inch of. A must-see while visiting Clarksdale.
I love the Delta.
One of the best museums I've been in - wow, so much history, take your time to digest each exhibit. Well done, well done.
Great place to visit for your Blues history.
Very well done. Friendly.
Great Place!
Really well done, for the area I was expecting things to struggle, but when you're inside, it is a very nice place. Mississippi gets behind its blues.
A great introduction into the Delta Blues and the people who made it all happen
A must see in Clarksdale.
Very extensive & thorough.
Great blues history
A destination attraction for those who like blues, R&B, and the roots of rock. Set in an old railroad depot, this museum celebrates the Delta blues and its influence. We weren't sure if it was open when we pulled up because you can't see people inside from the parking lot. But don't be deterred. It was open. Lots of memorabilia, a great place where I leaned the names of many new-to-me classic and more recent artists and learned more about those who are more widely known. Painted gas can "Chikan" guitars were a fun visual highlight. The gift shop had some nice quilted items referring back to a famous blues railroad intersection--where the Southern meets the Dog. The t-shirts were good, but honestly, I preferred the more colorful ones at the Tunica County highway visitor's center. You wouldn't expect that, so if you're traveling south from Memphis, don't pass up the Tunica "shack." Only four stars because photography is prohibited. I hope they change this because people would like to be able to show their friends pictures and encourage them to come. Enjoy your visit to this town that is rich in history, music, and spirit.
♡
Biggest collection of Blues related items, put together simply but providing a good understanding on how Blues started and became what it is today, the musicians and their stories, and their guitars and outfits
My goal is to tour the entire Mississippi Blues Trail. This is a must-see..
Amazing place for the blues enthusiasr. Too many things to mention, but standing in Muddy Waters' house was awe inspiring. Be sure to check out the gift shop, many blues related items at very decent prices, not commercialized at all
I always make it a priority to stop at the Delta Blues Museum when in the Memphis area. They have displays of major Blues legends as well as many others. If you love the Blues it has to be on your list of places to visit. Outstanding!
(Translated by Google) Little but it is good. It's funny to go there next to the bar of the black actor Freman. One place should keep as it was. (Original) Petit pero esta be .Es curios anar alla al costat al bar de l actor negre Freman.un lloc q ha conservar tal com estava.
Love it
Very nice learn about the blues artist place was clean and spotless
Great place! So much to see and learn. No picture taking allowed inside.
If you are a blues fan or even just a fan of history this is a place you need to check out if you are ever in the area. Such a great museum
Blues history brought to the forefront.
I enjoyed walking around and seeing the journey blues had taken
Live food and music
it's different from most Museum and has Muddy Water house in it
Awsome museum. Nice town. Helpful staff. Love the history. I highly recommend it.
Great history of the Blues to read about learn more on the subject!
We loved the history of the blues. A must see
Been on the "bucket list " and certainly did not disappoint. Very well laid out, with great memorabilia. Definitely worth the trip!
A lot of knowledge, also has a children instrument practice with amazing music teachers.
Great history of Clarksdale music history and the Blues Highway! Mississippi Delta!
It was awesome, but a real shame that we couldn't take pics. It would've been nice if they would've at least had a book with pictures of the exhibits or a cool photo prop set up.
A great heart for a small place. Everything about the history of the blues art in the region and in Mississippi also. So many curiosities of local artists and a lot of good music is waiting for you there. Don't touch the pieces, don't take pictures of some parts and have a great time at Delta Blues Museum.
Great exhibit although small.
A small collection that is relatively unfocused. Displays were not well done. Some very cool stuff but not worth going out of your way for.
Nice place lots of history
Loved it.
Very interesting. Take your time. Lots to see and learn.

Love the history found there!!
Amazing history lesson.

Incredible!!! Awesome!!!
Good overview of blues...focusing on clarksdale.
It was closed but a must see for any blues fan. You can feel the rich vibes coming from this place. Close to the crossroads
Nice Museum complete with Muddy Waters cabin and a Lomax recording vehicle on display. Lomax was the Smithsonian sponsored ambassador hired to record the native artists who were creating the blues.
If I was more of a blues fan I would've loved it. Not bad for a free museum.
Very cool.
Amazing place all music fans should visit
Near the crossroads where Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil for fame and fortune playing the Blues!
Awesome seeing all the old guitars and suits. Plus Muddy Waters boyhood home
Glad people are preserving the history
What a fantastic place if you like the blues
a great gathering of bluesmen of the area, specially Muddy Waters. can't wait to see the new areas they are building.
only passed by this establishment.
Awesome place, only problem is no photography, not even without flash. Still 5/5 stars. I'll be back.
Well worth a visit.

Great staff
Loved this place. Full of blue-related memorabilia and history. Very laid back and friendly - great chatting with Anthony.
Top notch
A great museum that any blues lover will appreciate , great exhibits with a ton of real artifacts and historical items. ?BTW , very reasonable priced.
This place is awesome. I came to Clarksdale to visit a family member not knowing anything about the area. This museum filled me in on so much Blues history, as well as some of the local history. I would recommend this place to any person visiting, whether you like blues or not.
Really enjoyed it, but it seemed a bit disjointed to me . . . it didn't start w/ history & context of the culture leading up to the blues, rather, the exhibits started with local bluesmen right after you entered. But it was great to see a bunch of the exhibits, esp the Muddy Waters cabin.
This is my birth place & I KNOW a lots of history about the delta & that is why I love.the blues museum
Great exhibits and blues memorabilia. Well presented.
We loved it!!
My family enjoyed visiting the Delta Blues Museum. This is a nice place to take a day trip to. I do not recommend taking kids but great for adults.
A small museum, but it has a great display of Blues music artifacts and memorabilia. It is located only about 100 feet from the Ground Zero Blues Club, so this is a good place to spend some time in the morning or afternoon while you are waiting for things to get underway at Ground Zero. This museum is definitely a must-see attraction for any Blues music afficianado, and since you most likely traveled some distance to get to Clarksdale, tàke the time to go through the Delta Blues Museum. I visited in the spring of 2019, and as I recall, admission was about 8 or 9 dollars, so very reasonable. As you might expect, they have a small gift shop in which you can find unique Blues related souvenirs.
Great museum
Very much worth the drive. The Malaco room was impressive, as was the (temporary, I think) Muddy Waters exhibit. And so many great places to eat and hear live music nearby!
Really great museum. Lots of history around the blues and Clarkesdale's impact on it. It focuses by artist which is a unique perspective. They are working on a Muddy Waters exhibit which even partially completed is really great.
Beautiful exhibit, very knowledgeable staff as well. Loved it!
As far as the span of eras and styles of Blues is concerned, this is a worthwhile stop, especially the new annex with the Muddy Waters cabin. Better aligned with the musicologist than the tagalong.
Great place. Staff nice, knowledgeable.
Great place to visit.
Wonderful place to visit given the enormous amounts of historical music and information about the blues..
Smaller than I thought
This is a great museum. Learned a lot about the start of Blues and how it influenced other groups and individuals. Definitely a must see.
Beautiful museum in the heart of blues country. Love the Muddy Waters wing and Mud's old cabin + the famous Muddywood. Cool place, great gift shop.
Great museum.
Must see museum when you're in Clarksdale MI. Plan on minimum of 2 hours.
More blues history than you would expect
Star 5
Some really interesting bits and I left with a long list of artists and albums that I will research more. As a slight negative, and similarly to a few museums I've visited recently, there isn't much overall narrative so it might be a bit hard to follow if you have no prior background knowledge.
Loved the experience
Another amazing museum! Must visit!!
Details of 61 / 49 Blues Trail
The author was drawned as if by inercia to see the museum, it is not only my affinity, but passion to visit. And frecuent museums in new cities i visit. Sorry i couln't access it fee is charged. $8.00 i recomend it is a must to see Meeca for funs of the Blues, unbelivable i landed in Claksdale as an Economic refugee. From West Coast, namely Californias resident: Baja California Sur, Mexico. Baja California Norte, Mexico and California USA. -trotamundos Extraordinaire- *Vago*
Great historic experience
Much more in depth than I'd imagined. A definite must see for fans of Blues music.
Wonderful museum to understand the history of the blues.
Excellent!
Very nice
I really liked it here. I learnt a lot.

Great information
I love Clarksdale and the Museum
New exhibits in the works, nice view of history
This place is well worth a visit. It will take you about an hour to walk around the museum. Lots of information and interesting displays, including the most prominent figures of the genre, and also tracing the Delta blues style all the way back to its roots. Gift shop had a really good selection for fair prices too.
Great place to spend time learning about the Delta Blues. Nice history, nice displays. Highly recommended.
Good local. Blues artists history to study for future generations to come and see and experience!
It was pretty good museum not as big as we thought though.
Ok ouroo okoowi Joe out to
Great insight into the birth of the blues
Great place to learn the history of the blues
Nice museum containing a lot of blues icons. What is currently missing is a proper story / timeline. Only the information a bout Muddy Waters provides a good amount of context. Therefore it is more of an 'art' museum. I have understood there are plans to change that in the future.
