REVIEWS OF Niagara Cave IN Minnesota

Niagara Cave was such a wonderful place to visit. The tour guides are very informative about the history of the cave and how it formed. The owner is a really nice guy, we had a quick chat before I went into the cave. Their merchandise is very well priced, and they have a lot of different types of minerals and rocks for sale as well. To top it off, they have imported, handcrafted sculptures made professionally. Outside you can play mini gold and try your luck by sifting out bags of soil with minerals in them (which you have to pay for, but what you get from them is TOTALLY worth the price!) I highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn/walk through a cave.

Edith Richard

What a great cave to see. The guides are great, we enjoyed Sam, as our guide. Where warm clothes and good shoes, you need both. The two granddaughters tried their luck panning for treasure and received a lot more than expected. I recommend this, oh we had lots of fun with the mini put. We found the cost very reasonable.

Jessica Jensen

The cave tour was beautiful and the tour guide was both interesting and informative. They keep the groups small enough and spaced out enough to enjoy the tour without it feeling rushed or busy. The natural wonders are amazing to see and they have done a great job of leaving them as natural as possible. They are also good and providing input ahead of time such as not bringing backpacks or tall back baby carriers due to the narrow spaces.

Robert Rathman

nice, hour long tour of beautiful underground cave

Mengying Wang

Not a big one but a pretty cave. Temperature around 9 degree so wear warm before entering the cave.

Jo Peterson

One of the best caves I've seen left as God formed it. Amazing waterfall deepen the cave.

Chris Ott

It was really cool to see the rock formation

Ed Hanenberger

Was an hour drive but so worth it!! Awesome experience & staff was very friendly

Timothy Holland

Really neat! There are no signs to get there from the freeway so you will need to pay attention to the maps. Tour guide was good and polite. Lots of stairs.

Domingo Williams

Nice way to get out of the heat! Fun for kids.

Jeremy Tollackson

This cave tour is great! If you have the opportunity the cave is a must see for all ages.

Mike Hurt

Any time we travel and there's a cave experience available, we do it. After visiting more than 15 caves across the country, this is definitely one of my favorite! The underground waterfall was so impressive! Far cooler than I'd even anticipated. I also liked the various fossils and other formations they showed on the tour. They also have a nice store at the top with LOTS of cool fossils, crystals, and rocks, with a huge range of prices. Not just the common stuff.

All I can say is wow!!! What a great place to take your family! My 2 year old loved it as well as my 7 year old who wasn’t very thrilled at first until we started to descend. Highly recommend this place

Lee Kessler

Great staff, amazing cave

Angie Dimitros

Beautiful and fun for the family

Jennifer Drewelow

Kids loved the gem and stone mining. Tour felt a little rushed at times for the kids.

Dorothea Casey

Large waterfall, interesting formations, much geology in action. Wallace, our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. Fairly strenuous, lots of stairs.

Edith Richard

It gets cold in the cave. The temperatures go down to about 29°F and about 9°C so I'd recommend you bring along a sweatshirt and long pants. If you don't bring a sweatshirt and decide to buy one t the store, it'll cost you about 30$ you didn't want to spend. Also wear sneakers that have a good grip, since it is pretty wet and slippery down there. There are a lot of stairs coming and going into the cave so this trip isn't for the feint of heart (literally). It can also get pretty claustrophobic down there. All this aside, the trip takes about an hour. The guides are well-informed, seem to love what they do and make you feel the same way. Overall, an interesting place to visit in Minnesota.

Scott Schaub

Fantastic cave with a very informative tour.

Papo G

Beautiful cave clean and very professional

Erik Tietz

The cave itself has a lot of beautiful formations, fossils, and the huge waterfall, so I would say it's among the more pretty caves that I've visited. The downsides are what you typically get at a for profit cave. We spent a good portion of our tour standing to the side to let another group through because they crammed so many people down there at a time. Also, the tour guide was friendly, but was a college kid on home from break that memorized a script, rather than the knowledgeable scientists that can answer questions at state or nationally run caves. As a whole, I enjoyed it, as did most of the people in my tour. Just watch out for the stairs at the beginning, if you are out of shape, it can be a bit rough. They have a nice play area and a few other activities to do besides the cave, which seemed very popular with families.

Kaththea Trotter

Great tour, very interesting

Rebecca Roberts

Omgosh, it's a beautiful, wonderful and fun walking adventure down into the cave. Lot's to see and learn, staff was great. The walk was fine, but had many stairs. But, would Ido it again, yes. I loved it.

Lindsay Salo

The whole family was excited to visit this cave. We love waterfalls, and were looking forward to seeing one inside a cave. Though we were not disappointed,, we thought the pictures advertised were deceiving as that is not the same angle or view you get to experience on the tour. It was still a great sight to see. The rest of the cave was interesting, there were some narrow passageways that added to the kids' excitement. We did wonder why they immediately showed us the waterfall, then the rest of the tour. We thought they should be saving the best for last.

Sonia

Wonderful day for the family. A bit expensive but still a lot of fun.

RevRobRogers

Awesome cave and great tour.

Jessica Jensen

Steve Peterson

A physically challenging cave tour but, well worth the price. Many beautiful cave formations and a great deal of fossils imbedded in the wall and celing. Guide had a wealth of geological and fossil knowledge along with a great sense of humor! Excellent gift shop with many fossils, stones, and crystals. The waterfall itself is right at the beginning of the tour and really is the highlight. Passages can become quite narrow.

Kelly Tucke

Fun place for kids. Love the mining station and mini golf. The cave is beautiful.

Kent Weis

It's a cave. I love caves. It has a river and a waterfall in it. The people were nice. The tour was great. Loved it! It's about 30 minutes from Mystery Cave. Visit both in the same day. Awesome.

Mark Dalton

Friendly, welcoming, fun and knowledgeable tour guides. Engage the people in the group, provide some geological and historical information through the walk. FYI it is good to bring a light water resistant jacket, and there are a good number of stairs, just so you are aware. They are safety conscious and ask you to use the railings. Stelagtights and stalagmites are limited, and not as large of rooms as others. It does have a significant waterfall for a cave. You down about 170 feet. There are some fossils on the wall they point out.

Karen Shimek

Was a hard walk, they should have more benches or rest areas. An esculator would be nice too! Lol

Felipe Hernandez

This is an awesome cave! Finding it was easy. Area is well marked and there's plenty of signage for it in the region. Definitely worth the drive! The above ground portion of the cave has a decent sized parking lot, picnic area with electrical outlets, a good sized kid's playground, and a small mini golf course. There's also a few benches scattered throughout. Cave tours cost $16 per person and depart approximately every hour. Group size is usually between 10-20 people. Keep mind that it's pretty cool in the cave as you start to descend so you'll want to dress accordingly. Cave is approximately 48 degrees and the tour is about an hour long. Also, there's a few areas of the cave that is a little wet. Water running down the cave walls/ceiling is minimal for the most part, but something to keep in mind when planning a visit. Personally, I like cooler temperatures so I walked through in jeans and a t-shirt and was comfortable. Some people did wear sweatshirts. In regards to shoes, you'll want to wear shoes with good tread, as there's some slippery areas. Overall, it was a fantastic outing! Highly recommend visiting!

Marcel Nienhuis

Amazing. I can’t believe all of this lives below the corn fields.

Emily Holter

My family had a great time on a tour of the cave. Very interesting place.

Aswini Ramachandran

Worth a visit. A good weekend idea.

Kent Weis

It's a cave. I love caves. It has a river and a waterfall in it. The people were nice. The tour was great. Loved it! It's about 30 minutes from Mystery Cave. Visit both in the same day. Awesome.

Randy Nelson

If you can handle a huge # of steps down and back up it is well worth it! Great tour!

tullyman82

Cool place to go and view caves and a underground waterfall. 48 degrees nice and cool in there. Bring your own flashlight so you can see the cool stuff that you wouldn’t see without one.

Ryan Larson

Had a great tour here recently. I agree with other reviewers that the photos are deceiving. You only get to see the waterfall from the top of the falls. The tour was an hour long and they show you the waterfall first. Honestly, unless you are a dedicated spelunker or interested about caves, only five minutes of this tour will be interesting/amazing. The rest of it was skippable in my opinion. Still, we had a great time as a family and I do recommend going.

Tim K

This is a wonderful cave. Many steps, if that bothers you. Long passageways that get a bit narrow at times. Great guides.

Alison Pauley

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Worth every penny. FYI: Buy helmets, head lamps, or get kids flashlights. This helped my son who was unsure of how dark it was, and made him MUCH more comfortable when we got one from Matt. (THANK YOU!!!) We toured with 4 additional extended family members, and then another super small group. I wish groups could be a little smaller overall, but that's not because the tour was bad. Matt was our tour guide and he was EXCEPTIONAL. Even if he did this for years on end, he was very kind and patient. Everything we could have asked for for our tour. We were not rushed and all of our questions were answered (and Matt checked often if we had any questions.) We were cave first timers. We were worried about all the stairs and walking. The only stairs that are intense are the last ones leading out. TAKE. IT. SLOW. There is no real rush to get out as the guide follows you out. If you are not in perfect shape and go flying up them, your going to have a hard time when they are done. We will be back at least once a year as our schedule allows. Everything about this was so much fun and so awe inspiring that you can take it in multiple times and be amazed. The weather: fantastic. The constant 48° is so pretty to experience and the parts where it is very damp are so cool because you can see your breath. Overall, I can't imagine it getting much better then this. I can see why it's one of the Top 10 Caves in the U.S! ETA: we came specifically from far NW Iowa just for Niagara Cave and would make the almost 8 hour trip round trip often, to experience this again.

Kowshik Eggoni

It's a hidden gem for a quick weekend getaway. Plan on spending 3-4 hours. Not more than that in this particular location. Looking at the fossils and huge stalactites was fascinating. Definitely a good learning experience for kids and many adults!

Paul Routhieaux

Very enjoyable tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history and geology of the cave and surrounding area. I would take this to her again in a heartbeat!

Jodie Lamack

Beautiful cave, good tour, very nice gift shop w/ great prices, nice playground w/ picnic areas, close to Amish community. If you are short of breathe on a regular, need o2, or generously overweight, moderate heart issues, closterphobic, the cave probably isn't the greatest choice, due to narrow spaces and change in oxygen levels, lots of steps an about an hour tour. Tour guide did not mention these possible issues so, I thought I'd share my concerns as I work in Nursing and feel this should've been mention before the tour However very glad I got to experience such beauty!

Lance G.

Small cave with limited formations, but the waterfall and the sound of the rushing water made this a unique experience. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable.

Ali Al Harbi

Great site see

Allison Kim

Amazing place to visit! The tour was great, and the grounds and gift shop were an added bonus to us as out-of-towners. The tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, even though she was a biology major in a geology field, and she was so kind to answer and respond to the million questions and comments from my 9 yr old. The 200 some-odd steps down and then back up was great for expending some of his never-ending energy.

Rachel Ankerholz

Niagra cave was a fun outing for our family. Wear a rain jacket as you may get wet. You will descend over two hundred feet underground, often down steps. This can be a difficult excursion for people with knee issues. They have a fun gift shop with something for everyone.

loralee

Lots of walking and dampness but worth it.

heidi tucker

Hidden treasure. Tour is about an hour. We went 200 feet below the surface. The fossilized lily pads were cool. We walked around the gift shop and played mini golf after. There is also a choice to mine for gold and play at a park. Food is h/c sandwiches and ice cream. Wear socks, pants and a fleece. Hoods are a plus to spare you from the cold abundant water droplets. The cave is cold. It's 48° down there!

Mark Dalton

Friendly, welcoming, fun and knowledgeable tour guides. Engage the people in the group, provide some geological and historical information through the walk. Shalon Johnson

WORTH IT . it was an amazing site . Defintely enjoyed the tour. The guy was very knowledgeable and very friendly .

anita craft

This was a great adventure

James Smith

A great adventure! Our guide was knowledgeable. The waterfall was incredible! Lot's of stairs though. But it was worth it. With that we didn't even get involved in the many other activities.

Beth Huskisson

It's not handicap accessible, but we did the golfing and the mining was loads of fun

Kienan Mick

I liked the length of the tour, one hour is long enough to learn about the cave, but short enough to not get too cold underground!

shondra Abker

What an amazing adventure! A must see place!!

Ben Maas

The cave was great, but our tour guide Aaron was even better! We enjoyed it.

Mohammad Jarman

The most amazing place I have ever visited. The crew are friendly and helpful and answered every question related with welcoming behavior and I do recommend to visit the cave it has many stories to tell about Mother Nature.

iron cage

Other than the good experience of going deep down into the earth, there was also an amazing gift shop with a wide selection of awesome items

Ceres Parsons

Great place to visit!

Isaac Warner

What a cool spot! The cave is huge and just what you'd expect from a cave, in a great way. Definitely worth a visit.

Mary Van Wyk

The tour was a mile ....the guide was very informative.....the cave was so cool....loved it

Michelle S

This place is awesome!! Great tour guide, beautiful cave. I had a 7 year old with and he wants to go again. It is a physical challenge. The gift shop was well priced! Loved it!

Chelsea Kaminski

So beautiful! Stunning property with a playground gift shop some food choices... a place to bring your own lunch! It was a great tour. So much information is given definitely out of this world. You go down 200 feet & see some pretty amazing things. Violet I think was our tour guide she was so knowledgeable & kept us interested! So many stairs definitely a good work out but a great time for people of all ages.

Jaun Domino

Simply Beautiful. Nature is awesome in this place exemplifies the beauty of nature. The kids love it. Fun way to spend some time. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Cy Campbell

Great place remember 275 steps down 275 steps up!

Cari Kremmin

This was a wonderful underground surprise. Who would guess such a cool place could be hidden in the cornfields. It does get cold and some spots have puddles and dripping so dress appropriately. Some spots are tight. We had some bigger guys in our group and none of them struggled to get through but several spots they had to duck. If you get claustrophobic in tight spaces this might not be a place for you. We also had small children with all of them did fine The 5-year-old found a couple spots "scary" but made it through fine. We'll worth the $!!

Peter Krueger

Very nice cave experience. Has a large cavern room with a large waterfall in it. Highly recommend going to see.

Paul Zerba

A great family attraction - have done it twice now in the last 10 years! Pretty amazing find for backwoods Minnesota

VXBlade 2

Know what your getting into, and it's great fun. It is A HIKE!! But the caves are cool, but basically an underground limestone riverbed. Creepy and cool, but DEEP... 550 stairs... Beware! :) Family had a blast though, and guides keep it fairly interesting. Star rating isn't so much for the business side as the cave itself. It's huge, but compared to other caves I've been to, just is kinda plain. Not a lot of cool cave things.

Katherine Williams

Place was really great! Had much more than just a cave. Nice place for a picnic, mini golf, and a stone panning place. Really good place for kids. Just be ready for the 550 steps!

Heather Kamrowski

Had a good time with my family and friends

Tim Schabel

Fun. Informative.

Mary Grimm

Kids had a wonderful time fun day for all

Amanda Harmening

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! The caves were very cool (figuratively and literally!). Perfect thing to do on a really hot day!

Kevin Marihart

I enjoyed this cave for the waterfall and ease of walking inside, but remember you have to climb all those stairs out, worth the views if you are in shape

Clayton Krueger

Very cool cave but a lot of steps

Katy Benedict

My family and I loved this place. Beautiful and appropriate for the whole family. Good price for the tour. Gift shop, condescension store, mini golf and mining company. Be prepared for the stairs, walking is not much but very slippery.

Michelle S

This place is awesome!! Great tour guide, beautiful cave. I had a 7 year old with and he wants to go again. It is a physical challenge. The gift shop was well priced! Loved it!

Dan Vesledahl

Very interesting history from a very knowledgeable guide.

Emily S

Seriously so cool

Holly Dikeman

Alot of walking if your outta shape beware!!

Nicole Baldus

I really liked that you were able to walk back up on your own. It allows the guests to experience a guided tour and then on your own. You can stop look at things closer and take pictures without worrying about holding up the tour.

Brook Jimenez

Loved it! I took my 9 yr. old boy and he had tones of questions to ask. The guide was great! Bring a sweater and be prepared for lots if so steps, 550 I think.

Minh Do

Good caves, but have seen bettee

Donald Kren

This cave and facilities are privately owned, so they don't have the resources of some publicly owned caves, but I was impressed with the overall experience. The cave is interesting, and the tour seemed to be conducted with a sense of …

Geoffrey DeLoge

The group I was with had small children that were to young they screamed or yelled the whole time

Carlos Fernandez

It was great!

Jessica Spencer

Taking the tour at Niagara Cave is pretty fun. There is a lot to look at! However, I wouldnt particularly recommend it to someone who has limited mobility or has claustrophobia. I personally have asthma and it was ok with an inhalor. The different souveniers come in a variety of price points and objects ranging from sweaters to stone jewelry to much more practical items as well. All in all would recommend to families and smaller groups of people!

Joseph Ohl

The tour was spectacular being underground about 200 ft. Under and seeing fossils over 400 million years old and seeing 1of the only 2 caves in the United states with an underground Waterfall was amazing i would highly recommend. The tour guide answered all my questions with ease and the price for the tour was great as well.

Robert Meyer

Great place to go see.

Jackson Vu

Fun time!

Colee Belzer

It was really cool. My 9 year old boy was thrilled!! Very good tour guide!!

Jessica Collica

These caves are historical, interesting and absolutely beautiful. The gift shop is bountiful, and there is plenty of parking. We were lucky enough to get Dorothy as our tour guide and she absolutely rocked it (get it haha). Dorothy had a …

Sheila Kunda

Very interesting place

Bill Stevens

The tour was fun, the peeps were friendly! Recommend

Joshua Hesch

Very nice tour but beware they have alot of stairs. Nice and informational staff. Cave temp is about 49 degrees so bring a hoodie! Overall my family loved it and I'm sure yours will too

Martina Marina

Cool place great for learning new experience about our past. You can see fossils very clear. Love the luminous wall.

Megan Lange

It was wonderful and very educational. My children had a fantastic time!

Sasha B

The cave was neat but not as cool as I'd hoped. The waterfall was a huge disappointment. You walk on a plank with handrails to look down at the waterfall. If you're not a fan of heights, you will not enjoy. The stairs at the end are …

Ashley Kalenian

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The formations and fossils are very cool! They have discounts for younger kids but it is a pretty long tour in a cold/wet environment so if you have a young family with lots of kids I would make sure they are prepared for it. Lots of stairs as well if you are very out of shape makes getting back to the entrance a challenge. They do warn you about these before purchasing tickets.

Laura Kuhs

I visited Niagara Cave with my nearly 2 year old. It was beautiful! The hour long tour was very interesting and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. On a very hot summer day, the cool cave was a comfortable break. When it comes to small children, plan on carrying small children as there are many stairs, the floors are wet, and since visitors are asked not to touch the cave walls, it is easier to keep kids' have of the walls if you are holding them. I took my child in a carrier and I'm so glad I did! If I had had to carry her in my arms, it would not have been enjoyable for anyone. While the tour was a little too much for a toddler, they also have a phenomenal playground that is suitable for kids 2-12. I absolutely loved our stop and would certainly return for another visit.

Daniel Soller

Good time! Kids will have fun! Definitely wear a sweater or rain jacket.

Gordon Corlette

Simply incredible. Especially at the back of the cave, they give you a chance to decide if you wish to see a Really dark place. They have you hold the railing, then Out go the lights. You could not see your hand in front of your face. Glad they turned the lights back On!

Nunki Seyer

It was okay. Kudos to our tour guide, he was very intelligent and knows alot about the cave and the geology of the place.

Heather Hasty

I really loved this. We took 5 kids down age 1-9 and they all did great. The staff was fantastic. The rates to get in were a little steep but the gift shop seemed cheap in comparison.

Tony Papouchis

Great experience for all! A very casual exploration, with a bit of fossil history to be seen along the way.

Christopher Bollweg

Awesome cave formations with a knowledgable guide staff.

RocktheSauk

We enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. Be prepared for some snug walkways, especially if you are a bigger person. While it was a little bit pricey, it was worth it.

Burke White

Fun cave, good tour guide.

Andy Edwards

Was a nice place. Very friendly staff. Felt the tour lacked some of the history that other caves I have visited had. Seemed kind of limited in cave knowledge. Cave was well lighted, and well maintained. Over all had a good experience. Would recommend it to anyone who likes caves.

Brian Zeman

Fun cave tour! Amazing!

Linda Shafer

My husband and I both went but I returned after seeing the waterfall due to the wet humid thick air in the cave... I haven’t used an inhaler for several years but this cave did trigger a reaction that very undesirable and once I got up where air was moving i was fine....my husband went on with the tour and really liked it and the tour guide was very informative. They were also very kind about my needing to go back! I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who has airway reaction in thick humid air! Anyone I’m sure will enjoy! I did get to see the waterfall and it was beautiful!

Christa Moore

We loved visting with our kids! There is also a nice playground outside and mini golf

Rodrigo Velarde

The cave is pretty cool, guide needed more enthusiasm/better presentation.

Leeanna Sparks

Really cool place for kids and adults. It was only 48 degrees in the cave and there are several steps to take the tour.

Ryan P

Cave was really cool. The mining for gems was fun for the kids. The smallest bag had a good dozen decent sized rocks. Mini golf was alright, not the most challenging but better than most places.

Ron Reuter

Guide goes too fast. Would have liked enough time to look over cave better and get more photos.

Ken Nelson

Very interesting to learn about.

Drew Larson

An enjoyable, relatively standard cave tour. Total tour time is about an hour, with about 550 steps round trip. It gets somewhat narrow at times, but never less than one person wide for the passage. There is a neat waterfall and some good examples of ribbon stalagtites throughout. Worth a visit if you like this kind of thing.

Connie Grube

Only for healthy persons. Beautiful

Megan Thomas

Very amazing cave with wonderful views. Tour guide gentleman, Casey was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend the tour while wet and chilly it was still enjoyable. Stairs require a little more breath coming out but are worth the climb. Glad we stopped after seeing the billboard!

Miki Markofski

Lovely grounds, amazing cave that exceeded my expectations, friendly staff, lots to do and purchase. I would go again and highly recommend this attraction!

Phoebe Pittman

Niagara Cave is a great cave for the whole family to visit! We found our tour guide to be helpful and knowledgeable. This wasn't like some other cave tours where they make up stories to scare you or turn it into a joke. The walk out of the cave will be taxing for those not in good shape so be prepared. You can walk at your own pace on the way back, there is no need to race but it can leave some people huffing and puffing.

Animesh Sthapit

Great place to for a day trip. Interesting formation throughout the cave. Our guide Krista was very knowledgeable and made the tour very fun.

Jamie Doty

Good place 2 visit

Trent Dicks

Somewhat steep on price to just walk through a cave that was very narrow and some what crowded as we went through.

wayne styba

Real cool. A must see.

Luka Bajzer

Very interesting cave. Lots of interesting formations, and fossils to see. The waterfall is great. There are lots of stairs though, so make sure you can go up and down stairs. It's usually 48F and damp, so dress for that. The tours aren't cheap, but they are very well led and worth it.

Drake Friedman

Amazing cave. Favorite part is the ohm sound resonance chamber area. Great tour. Lots of nice stones and crystals in gift shop.

Robert Nelson

Very historic, great tour

Robbie LaCosse

Wish I had a flashlight to view at my own pace. Tour was informative but I feel like I missed a lot.

Cordell Royer

Exactly as our guide described it! Very aware of all the possible places someone could slip or get hurt, as well as very informative! Would repeat!!! On a road trip through 24 states! We made sure to visit this location due to all of its feedback!!! We got.routed down a gravel road, 11,000 lbs is a little rough

Gerardo Alonzo

Drove over 2 hours and was not able to see the waterfall.

Cindy Jacobsen

It was very interesting cave to see, and I really enjoyed the tour. It seems a very popular place, fun for a family. Gift shop was great, and looks like people were getting good finds from the bags they bought to pan from.

Rïse Thew Forrester

Amazing cave and great guides

Kristi Hagen

Holy wow this was an intense cave adventure. Narrow halls and deep walkways with waterfalls and drop offs. Had a blast and can’t wait to come back with the kids.

Nancy Kaiser

Friendly Educational and Fun. Felt like a kid playing in the sand box, but with real treasures.

Tim Koss

Pretty neat place to visit definitely worth checking out

D Chill

My husband and I decided to swing on by here on our drive home from Iowa to Mn. Although a bit out of the way, it was well worth the drive and cost of admission!! The tour was insightful and a great learning experience. I have been in other caves and this one is one of the better ones!! The guide was very good at her job and the people behind the counter was kind and welcoming!!

Brian Thorp

Fun cave tour that lasts 1-2 hours depending on your group. There is about a mile of underground hiking with a decent amount of stairs. Cave has been preserved from damage for the most part which is awesome. There is a playground and mini golf and other activities outside.

Joshua Blaser

It was fun. Kids had a blast going underground. We will be back.

Bonnie Otto

This place was well worth it to travel to. The tour was a decent amount of time going through the cave, with so much to see. Truly a way different experience and well guided. It was really neat to hear the story of the farm hand who went down after the pigs from another perspective. It was my grandfather who was that farm hand and neat to hear and experience it as my grandfather would have. Thank you for the amazing experience. Not only did I enjoy it, my children enjoyed it just as much!

Allie Knudson

So worth seeing. We have a small group of people. Babies to adults. Make sure you can do stairs well. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but we went through bthe tour fast

Ronald Cooper

Awesome time ally of stairs

A better name would be the Niagara "Crack". Long, narrow, sinewy, tall-walled, drippy pathway for about a half a mile w 550 stair steps. Cool but much of the same. Rushed tour in and out: "Look at this, look at that, this is a 450 MY fossil, dont touch the walls! Keep up". Had to take it on faith that much advertised 60 ft tall underground waterfall was just that. Could only see it from the top and didn't match the pictures on the website. Worth checking out but keep your expectations low.

Must see cave when you're able to make the drive!! A wonderful experience and very knowledgeable staff and tour guide. We even learned that people even hold weddings down there too! Be ready for adventure and making memories.

Great tour our guide was great she was very informed and willing to answer questions. The walk wasn't bad at all. I would go again.

A. Maze. Ing. Worth every penny and more.

It was a nice cave and had different characteristics than other caves we have been in. Wear good shoes. It is wet and sometimes muddy on the trail. Also has a lot of steps so for some it was a challenge going back out. The only down side for me was that when we were on the tour I felt rushed through it. Didn't seem like we were given much time to look around or take pictures. Just kept moving.

Great tour, awesome guide!

Beautiful caves and a great tour guide (Audrey). The tour takes about an hour and you walk in some fairly narrow passages and a total of 500 or so steps.

Scot Przybylski

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Tour is long but amazing and will require climbing many stairs. Bring a sweater or hoodie, it gets really cold down there! The waterfall is amazing.

It was a great place to take the family! The staff is friendly and I thought our guide was very professional.

This cave was different from many that I've been to, in that it exhibits 3 distinct layers of rock and has fossils in it! Very nice guided tour, and a vast selection of rocks and fossils in the gift shop.

Great place! Would recommend for someone looking for a fun weekend. They have mini golf and kids play ground. They also have a shelter for a picnic!

Was a nice place. Very friendly staff. Felt the tour lacked some of the history that other caves I have visited had. Seemed kind of limited in cave knowledge. Cave was well lighted, and well maintained. Over all had a good experience. Would recommend it to anyone who likes caves.

Wasn't sure what to expect after not having visited for 30ish years. We were very impressed by the staff, the grounds and obviously the cave itself. It's clearly a well run place with great respect for the natural wonder they care for.

Nice cave tour. Grounds around the gift shop are beautifully landscaped. Gift shop is small but seems to have a little bit of everything.
