REVIEWS OF Plimoth Plantation IN Massachusetts

Evalyn Davis

This place was so great! I learned so much about how the Native Americans and Pilgrims lived during their times. Everything was so accurate and authentic. The staff and actors were so nice and answered all of our questions. There were even fun activities that people could join! They had a big military training in the middle of the village for everyone to watch/join. They all carried big, long poles that were supposed to be spears and we're taught the positions of how to hold the "spear". Great, fun place to go!

Katie Stuempfle

We visited on a Monday in the summer. The Plantation is really well done. You work your way through a Native American home-site and a craft area and then into the English village. The staff in the home-site are descendants of natives and were incredibly informative. They spoke about their people but were able to connect to the current world. The craft area has people creating pottery and textiles who can answer questions about the crafts of the time. The English village has a much different feel. These "actors" are all portraying villagers. This means they speak in an English accent and cannot relate to modern terms. For example, if you ask about Massachusetts the state, they will be confused and ask if you mean Massachusetts the tribe. The biggest downside to this is that it can be hard to get all the information you desire. There are no information signs so anything you want to know you have to ask about. Otherwise, it was nicely laid out and a thoughtful depiction of the time.

Bronwyn Kelly

Its good not for aomeone with difficulty walking. But great actors.

Jane Beecher

What a great exhibit. I had feared that I would be disappointed but happily, I wasn't. Everyone should visit. The actors were quick and played characters very well. Some restoration is underway but not a deterrent to the surroundings.

Richard Jones

Great place to learn about the early history of our country. The goats, chickens and bull were a big hit with the kids. Deep dish pizza at the craft center was an excellent choice for lunch. Our kid that doesn't like pizza gave it a thumbs up.

Patricia Small

This is a great place to spend an afternoon! Period actors are spot-on and never go out of character in discussions. Informative AND entertaining. I was there for the 1627 Harvest Feast, for the second year in a row. Awesome food, again entertained and informed by the actors hosting the event. Let the buyer beware: the arrangements can vary from one year to the next! This year was hugely expanded to accommodate something like 190 guests. Instead of the round tables of last year, that made for easy conversations, dinner was served at long trench tables. And where you could find your own table last year, this year the plan was to seat people alphabetically by reservation -- a disaster for a group that had made independent reservations!! Fortunately they were able to accommodate us, and the effects, however impatiently delivered, were much appreciated. Word to the wise: appoint a single spokesperson from your group to communicate with the coordinating staff. Too many people talking without understanding can lead to frustrating communication errors. Overall, the experience is delightful, and I highly recommend it!

OneSky Line

The Native portion of the museum was the best! To have a glimpse of indigenous people and their land before the English arrived was very eye-opening and We learned a lot. The entire museum was very nice and a pleasant day trip. But we are most impressed by The entire Native portion. Bravo

Cheryl Nussbaum

Pilgrims dressed and stayed in character as they shared stories and demonstrated daily activities. Mrs. Alden was standing while in labor. She was assisted by some neighbors as they prepared for the birth. Military maneuvers also preformed while any visitor could join the ranks.

Anna Brambilla

This is an amazing place to see history in real life. Too few people actually take the time to speak with the actors and really learn their stories. That's what makes this place so special!

J Pierre

Very interesting place to visit with the family. Cast remained in character the entire time. Very educational and highly recommend.

old cyclist

Staff did an excellent job of being in character. We had nearly 4 hours here and we could have used more time.

Theresa Bihn

Really liked this Plantation, just wish was easier to get around for a person like me with wheelchair or my scooter. Missed seeing alot because of rocks and sand... But was a cool place and everyone enjoyed it!

Laurie Gaddis Barrett

Living history museum provides interactive experience for guests. Great way to spend an afternoon immersed in colonial times. Thoughtful balance between the Pilgrim and Native American viewpoint. Fabulous dedicated exhibit on craft (pottery, weaving, etc).

Thomas Ryan

Maybe due to it being off season there were not alot of people portraying the past, only 3 native Americans ,buildings were interesting, sites seamed small although it was a small community at that time due to sickness, but we found it interesting we would recommend but maybe during tourist season.

Renee M

My husband and I have been to the historical villages of Williamsburg, Virginia and Mystic, Connecticut, and I think the Plimoth Plantation is even better executed than they are. The outstanding thing about the Plimoth village is the actors. Be sure to engage them and ask them questions about their lives as settlers. Don't limit your questions to the physical dwellings and artifacts. The setting is 1627. Each settler has a complex persona, based upon real Plymouth settlers from that year. They have learned the language and English accents as they were spoken at the time. An example if that one man said the word, "shoen" instead of shoes. They say "aye" instead of "yes." The other side of the plantation is the Indian village, which we found interesting. The people in the village are descendants of a tribe of Native Americans, who honor the practices of their forefathers. They will demonstrate authentic Native American crafts of that time period.

Matt Atherton

A little overpriced, but a couple of the English characters are far more knowledgeable than I had expected. Also, a very scenic place.

Mike Jeansddgvhjj

Excellent historical enactments and glimpse of early 17th century life.

Jessie Griffith

Awesome place to learn the history of Plymouth. The Wampanoag and pilgrim actors were very well spoken about the history, life, and culture of early colonial America.

Teri Mauldin

I learn history best through stories and have fond memories of visiting, living history museums as a child. This museum delivered a similar experience to my children. I love that the historical characters portray a specific person to the camp and that they answer questions asked as that historical person would have answered. The experience is as interactive as you want it to be, if you want to talk to the historical characters you need to approach them.

David Rhiley

Excellent. The period actors were wonderful in character and quite knowledgeable!

Sean Gilbertson

One of my favorite travel experiences. The people in the villages are fascinating to speak with, and provide a level of immersion that brings history alive. Tremendously edifying and fascinating.

Anna Zakrocka

If I had a word to describe it...Underwhelming. For the steep price of 30$ per person not worth the experience. The few individuals we did encounter were very knowledgeable and stayed in character but some of he individuals did not interact at all or even seemed to avoid us. Quite a bit of construction happening made this experience inauthentic, we were only told of “some minor” construction happening only after we purchased our ticket. We were not informed of this prior to which would allow us to make a decision whether or not to proceed. I’m not sure why this was highly rated but maybe we just went at a bad time, since they are not “in season” and just happen to catch everyone on a bad day. The one thing that was the saving grace of the experience was the fresh bread we purchased.. it was a cranberry pecan bread and fresh cookies!! Delicious. The gentleman working the counter was very nice as well. Everything else was mediocre at best.

Virginia Henderson

Our granddaughter and we loved our team here. 1 hr special tour to Native American village. Our guide Tim was so knowledgeable. Wish there were more activities in the English settlement. Lots of walking hard for my husband.

Veronika Mølbach

Great place! Very well organized, professionally run, but not commercial. I felt like I went back in time and visited the first settlement. Very educational, we especially liked the people dressed up in the 17th century clothes and telling about their lives. I personally was listening with my mouth open, very very engaging! The bread and scones from the bakery are delicious! Big thanks to people who organize, support and run this place, we are definitely coming back and bringing guests :)

Kaustubh Bhure

It was pretty good if u r interested in history of America. Also its a living history museum type in America.

Brad Nunemaker

Loved the entire experience and very helpful that a golf cart was available to assist with our wheelchair.

Joel Landskroener

A beautiful day to spend here. The reenactors were outstanding and very informative. If you have even a small interest in Colonial history, Plimoth Plantation is worth a visit.

Christopher M. Sheehan

A history buff's paradise. The role-playing workers on the plantation dress in clothes that resemble the earliest settlers. They work the fields and build their shelters with the same tools and methods that were used 400 years ago when the puritans first arrived. It's definitely worth checking out!

James Howley

Interesting and interactive community that represents 17th century Plymouth Pilgrims and local Indian tribes. Great for a history buff and school trips to educate people about our countries early development and growth.

Si Mitch

Very much enjoyed the pilgrim part.Great actors and a great experience. The native american part wasn't so good. Trite, predictable and only one was a genuine NA.

Robin Cushman

I wish the natives display was a little better represented like the pilgram colony, they were very generic with their answers & seemed uninterested and were using their phones BUT the pilgrams kept in character. It was charming and educational.

Kimberly Hawkins

This a living history experience that is done with authenticity and dedication. Its self paced and I do recommend starting your day with this if you run low on energy. My only complaint is the cost of admission being $30. I will say that this it does support this worthy endeavor and the people who work here, so it's worth it. I only mention it to prepare you.

Bill Zukley

Really nice place to spend the day if you're at all interested in pre-colonial American history, or the history of settlement of the East Coast. Very engaging, lots of things to watch and do. The wooded grounds are beautiful. There is a bit of walking to do but the paths are broad and well-maintained with handrails in many places. It is a Living Museum so you will have a much better experience and learn a lot more if you take the time to interact with the reenactors. On the Native American side they're all native peoples going about the life they would have lived in that Village. in the English Village there are reenactors living the lives of actual historical occupants of the homes and the original settlement as well as modern-day docents who can interact with you from a more modern perspective. Highly recommended. The entry fee for two adults and two elementary school children was just under $100 but a ticket is good for two consecutive days. After spending four hours there I would still love to go back tomorrow and spend more time interacting with people on site.

Denise Fisher

Very nice history actors...made history come alive. Enjoyed the setting...thanks for all the hard work to make and keep it that way! Enjoyed our homeschool Sr. Trip there!

Wayne Martin

An excellent place to take a school group.

Hugo Hernandez

Beyond impressive place. All characters are very knowledgeable and will stay in character throughout the entire time.

Seth Scarborough

So they have people in full period appropriate clothing. Those that are dressed and the pilgrim clothes are in character the whole time and will interact with you like that. They have a cafeteria, the food is cafeteria food so don't expect too much more, but it's not bad or anything. They have buildings that are built like houses for that time., and Native American huts that are built historically accurate. A decent gift shop if you're into that. Fun for the family.

Eric Schmidt

Wonderful people who played character exceptionally well. Very expensive for the returns though. Mayflower not available, no discount. Indoor museum was a disappointment and was thoroughly covered in less than 10 minutes. Also the grounds are heavily infested with poison Ivy, even on walking paths. Not acceptable.

Aran Nathanson

Really nice simulation of both Pilgrim and native American life in New England in the 1600s. $38 for Adults. The Mayflower is not in Plymouth now, not sure when it will be back.

simon futcher

It did what it said it was going to do. There were modern tools left out and it is not as well kept as I think it should be but it was a good education into what life was like for the settlers. The actors really played the part and we spent a lot of time talking to them. If you over look the couple of points I mentioned and interact with the actors then you get more out of it. Oh the screaming kids were a bit of a pain but you can't curb enthusiasm and you've got to blank them out. All in all I would recommend that people visit as there is so much to learn.we only had tickets for the village and not the mill or harbour so I can't comment on them.

Claes Brameus

A lot of fun. Very educational. I loved the interactive part in the village

Laura Viveros

Plimouth Plantation is a great place to learn about Native Americans and Pilgrims, how they lived in perfect detail and to the history of America

Joe Burney

Descriptive terms "tired", "lacking enthusiasm", "sloppy", and "disappointing" all come to mind. Plimoth Plantation was remarkably under-developed for the cost of admission, and all their money appears to go into new buildings rather than into professional staff, informational displays and the two re-enactment villages. The re-enactment staff did a good job with what they had to work with, but they had virtually no day to day items--food, hand tools, hand work, etc. to work with. No weaving, no food preparation, no making of things, virtually nothing. Both village gardens were very poorly tended and very poorly labeled. The pottery display was simply excellent. The "museum" was sparse at best, under-labeled and under-described, with a centerpiece of a cow morphed with a sailing vessel (????), which unfortunately spoke more to the lack of authenticity all around than it did to anything else. The museum definitely appeared to lack a good curator as well as a lack of adequate funding to be called a museum. The parking lot was worn and tired looking, and most of the paths were unpaved. The zoo was remarkably pointless--why were they curating goats when they couldn't put together a decent museum? It struck me as a remarkably pointless way to try to preserve heritage from the pilgrim times when there are so many more valuable areas to spend limited resources. The grist mill was good, and well staffed. The parking area was adequate, but it was clear the town itself was not very interested in keeping up good appearances, given the poor quality of their outdoor tourist map. Worn, faded, yellowed plastic, it was hard to read, and indicative of a town that really did not care about its heritage, let alone cared to put its best foot forward for visitors. The signboard was a sad commentary on a town that appeared stuck on itself rather than interested in being a part of American history and sharing that with others.

Mike Manieri

Not a great experience (especially for the price). We found that the costumed staff was uninterested in providing information and that there wasn't a whole lot to do. They need more "staged" presentations and a lot more things to tell folks like us. I could not recommend going here.

Chris Saengvanich

Intresting historical facts. Fun inter active exhibits.

Alex Mikulich

Outstanding historical reenactment with local historians and super helpful visitor center. They even have an independent movie theater! Must see for families to learn history of Wampanoags and Puritans.

Rick Blair

Very well done for grasping the history of our nation.

Chris Miller

A nice day spent learning about history, worth the trip.

Carol Sanborn

This place was better than I remembered.

Philip Winckle

USA at its best. The living diorama of people and houses was well presented. We were impressed that the actors stayed in character, including their English accents, despite our stupid tourist questions. Loved the Indian settlement. Lots of activity. We spent 2 hours and thought it good value.

Melvyn Reich

Walking through history is an amazing experience here. Life in the first settlement in New England as been scrupulously researched and accurately presented. Gift shop is large and replete with numerous mementos. This is a fantastic full day experience for everyone.

Janice Smith

Beautiful location, informative staff and wonderful interactive presentation. A perfect place to learn about Native American culture as well as pilgrims' history.

Ryan Obray

This is a very well run reproduction of the early settlement of the Pilgrims and English settlers post the first winter of their landing in Plymouth. The dwellings are accurate of the era and the employees stay in character, which makes for an interesting experience. We learned so much about the culture of Wampanoag natives and so much more about the early European settlers than you learn in history classes. It was a great family experience.

Russell Fogg

What a fantastic place! Nice museum, film, hands on tour for yourself. The people that are there do their very best to show and explain how life was 400 years ago. The native American hits, the fort, the pilgrims housing all very authentic! From building dugout canoes, making arrows, construction of the long huts. I learned a lot. Things I didn't know. Like 1692 the Plimouth site was dissolved!

Denisee Martin

Very interesting place to visit. Loved seeing the craftsmanship it took to build these original homes. Great history lessons to be learned from the "settlers."

Jeremiah Good

This is a great place to take family and large groups. However, they do have some construction happening, which is why it's only 4 stars for me. Additionallly, the actors who are role playing are generally very good at it.

Phll Coppola

Got to talk to some of the people that work here they were very friendly and accommodating you got an idea what life was like when the pilgrims first arrived in this country

Rob Verbeck

Important piece of American history. The reenactors really live their roles. no matter how much you think you know about the Plymouth settlement, you will learn something at every single stop.

Don Chilton

Well worth it, the role players are amazing how they stay in character

Mark Hess

History comes alive at Plimouth Plantation. You can wander through displays of artifacts from the 17th century which is interesting but not the best part. The villages where native Americans and the Pilgrims are represented was fascinated. You can see how people lived and survived in the wilderness. Everyone will enjoy interacting with the character actors who do a great job representing the time period.

Evan Reynolds

The place was really interesting and shows how life was 300-400 years ago. Its beautiful nature and something I'll never forget. I definitely recommend this if you wanna have a fun learning experience on life back on the prairie.

Kari R.

This is a great interactive historical site. We got to chitchat with Miles Standish, and Native Americans making a canoe. Great place to take the kids!

Alexandra Muns

It was beautiful but honestly really boring. We paid $110 for three adults and a toddler and it wasn’t worth it. I was expecting plaques outside the houses with some sort of explanation of what I was looking at but there was nothing. Everything looked the same and I was disappointed I didn’t learn anything as I’m a big history buff.

Teresea Wells

Excellent. In costume. Actors and actresses were great. Loved it. Especially the Indian village.

Connie Hartje

Love talking with the people in the buildings. Lot of history

Ken Beckett

Really interesting thanks to actors portraying characters of the time.

Vassilina Vassi

Wow! This was awesome! Worth to visit! The most innovative museum I 've ever visited

Tobias Findeisen

This place is okay but very overpriced (paid $30 per adult, $18 for daughter). Also, definitely not made for people with walking disabilities (as one might expect, but why disability parking and wheelchair rental then?). They drive you around with a golf cart, and the personnel is very friendly, but the gravel and sand make it impossible to use the standard wheelchair they provide. I would say use the money you made from ticket sales and invest it in a few off-road wheelchairs.

Tech Explained

Cool place the people there are interesting a little pricey but something good to see

Anne Johnson

Lovely museum! The Native American village was an excellent learning experience! There were games for the kids, and lots of things to do! Next, the authentic English Settlement. There are many costumed guides to answer your questions about how they lived and worked. Meet the animals and live the history! There is also a craft center where artisans make many of the objects you see in the museum. An excellent place to visit!

Richard Martin

Entertaining and very informative. The staff are excellent.

Kim DeBlieck

Great place to visit to learn about how their lives were back then. They have actors in character at different locations throughout the plantation telling you of the history.

Alex Kurnikov

Amazing place for anyone who loves history! Great for a family trip. Reasonable prices and an easy drive from Boston.

Jennifer Scott

Too much awesome and cool things to list. The native women answering questions were the best. The houses and the gardens were very good very authentic.

Dominic Coombe

Fantastic, my wife and I went, walked slow, found alot. Low people visiting Saturday just before memorial day. Very good for my replacement hip and arthritis

Glenn Muncy

The young man of native origin in the summer house was awesome. When everyone left, I asked him what he liked to talk about. He basically said he started out wanting to share those things, but most people weren't too interested, so he mostly just answers the questions. He did finally begin to open up about environmental concerns, like how we can spread diseases and things, not only to the people but environments through travel. He told me about what a modern journalist goes through just to be able to contact any of the few isolated people groups in South America. Mid sentence, a new arrival to the room interrupted him asking a question that had nothing to do with our conversation. The young lady in the winter house also gave lots of insight, saying basically that her ancestors helped the pilgrims because they thought it too cruel to let them starve. They did it even though they didn't like or trust them. Stuff you seldom hear, and they seldom get a chance to share, I'm sure. Their ancestors were more than just human. They were awesome!

Janice Jackson

So interesting. The inhabitants tell wonderful stories

Bhavin patel

Great place for day trip. This is a live museum. We enjoyed it and also got history of May flower and early settlers.

Agnieszka Bourret

Excellent, a must see Make sure to engage with questions in both the Native American and the Pilgrim villages. The more questions you ask, the better your experience will be.

HY G

It was very interesting experience for our whole family. We especially loved Native american area and enjoyed talking to them. Perfect fun historic trip for 10 year old!!

Gwynneth Bauer

Wonderful, low key place to visit. Very interesting to see a time period that far back.

Steve Galloway

Actors stay in character. A very good history lesson.

Mary Baker

Loved this. The actors were brilliant and gave you a good picture of how life would have been. Made me re-think what I thought I knew about the history of this event. Would highly recommend it.

Mike Craigson

This was such a cool place with a great deal of history behind it. The live action actors really makes this place shine!

Shmuel Shmuel

Beautiful and educational. Very informative and nice staff. The kids loved it. We could have easily spent more time there.

William Arbaugh

This was the best part of my trip to the area. I'm big on national history and seeing this was one of the best places I've been to see, smell, learn, and do. I'm sure in the regular tourist season it is bustling with more but for us it was great. I highly encourage anyone visiting to take the prescribed route from the visitor center, to the native area, followed by the crafts center and then to the Plimoth village. It sets you up in a wonderful way to think a d understand about the life there in a different way. In the native area the descended members of the actual tribe (I don't want to disrespect them by misspelling the tribal name) that lived there are available to answer all your questions and pique your interest from modern perspective looking back. Once you get to the Plimoth village proper the people speak to you as one from the time period. The craft area shows you very much how the crafts of the time period worked and looked giving you great perspective and a whole lot of hands on experience. Overall we found the employees and re enactors to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was a little awkward to start a conversation with the Pilgrim settlers (when they asked where we we're from we said Colorado. Naturally it had never been heard of in that time period.) But to be honest if we time traveled then it WOULD be a very awkward conversation. Overall excellent. If you can only do one historically related excursion in the area I'd suggest you do this one.

beat shona

Interesting historical reenactment of the time the first settlers arrived. The local Indians and guides on site bring a good interactive spirit to the experience. The overall campus is not that large, and not that well maintained, so in our view the entrance fee is too high, specially considering that no student discount is provided.

Kat Vigeant

I brought my 5&4 year old grandsons for a visit and they both loved it so much. They were full of questions that were happily answered by the performers. The 4 year old wanted to know if they brushed their teeth. He got an answer and a small demonstration on how and what they used.

Sharon Wright

Fascinating living museum. The actors in character in the English village were informative and believable! I found that the best part. Plenty of free parking.

Abbey Harney

Great little place away from the tourist-y part of Plymouth, this place is a great way to spend an afternoon! Everything is free to do at your own pace, so there is plenty of time to stop and take in the nature that surrounds you. The information didn’t feel forced as most of the learning was through normal conversation with the inhabitants of each time period. The “actors” felt very genuine when acting out their role, it really made for a great interactive experience. Even things such as commenting on the weather were made interesting as they went into detail about the weather they endured on the boat and how the winters here made no sense. The Native people were interesting as well as they invited you to share their culture in things such as games and canoe making. Overall a very knowledgeable group of people. Everything that happens here seems to take place with a scenic backdrop which makes for great photo opportunities. Definitely would recommend for people of all ages!

Dennis Derstine

Great exhibits, period characters full of knowledge. Food prices were surprisingly reasonable. Great place to take your children or grandchildren.

cody brunn

Very informative. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. Craft center was very interesting. Great look into the past.

Lori Grant

They don't allow pets. We had an 8 lb chihuahua in a carrier on our backs, he would have stayed in the carrier the whole time and never disturbed anything or anyone, but regardless, we could not go in. Very dissappointing. I understand why a large dog who may pee or poop couldn't go in, but our dog was well controlled.

Kathryn Kelley

Who knew that the Plimoth Plantation had such beautiful locations for weddings? The family wedding we attended was outside, and the wedding party stood in front of a pond just as the sun was setting. The catered buffet was indoors with elegant selections and lots of room for dancing. The next day we arrived at the Plantation for a farewell brunch. Very good location for weddings. Three locations to choose from.

John Seager

Not overly impressed. We were maybe expecting too much. There were literally only three Wampanoag interpreters, and a very small but enthusiastic group of "settlers" The whole place seemed to be preparing for winter. Disappointing visit and in my opinion, a missed opportunity to "wow" travellers.

Robert Morrissette

Excellent experience learning about the day to day life of indigenous people and their interactions with the first Europeans.

Payam aa

Awesome experience, the reenactments were done well. Houses were nicely built. A must visit if you are in the area. Nice little bakery and cafeteria with freshly baked breads and pastries.

Steve Greenfield

Nice for a few hours. Currently under renovation but the actors in character deserve kudos. One semi clad Indian was braving cold and rain so herds of 3rd graders could learn a bit.

Kunal Zalani

Absolutely awesome! You could tell everyone there was passionate about the plantation!

Delsa Ivanov

Really interesting place to learn about early pilgrims and native American traditions. Good for families with young children

M MMM

Just awesome!!! Reenactors were fantastic and very enjoyable to speak with. I'd love to go back next time I'm in Plymouth. I might skip the water front and grist mill next time.

Jane4 Liddell2

We had my son's 3rd grade field trip to Plimoth Plantation today. What a great experience! All of the actors answered all of our questions, the volunteers we're very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The animals are so adorable very well taken care of! I cannot recommend this place enough, there is even a tiny house that's just for little kids to play in. Very cute!

Thomas Troy

Awesome place! Very cool how everyone is set in their time when you talk to them. The animals are a great touch too. The bull is very friendly.

Kristin

Love the farmers market here, nothing like Americas Hometown offerings!

Jennifer Curtis

Great place!!! Wish it wasn't so crowded. Very informative staff and guides. Amazing structures. Glad I was not a separatist back then!

Jackie Wallace

Excellent active display and the "inhabitants" all spoke in English of this period.

Ewunia Art

Great learning place. Beautifully taken care of. Never gave any pluses for the gift stores, but the one at the Plantation is very unique and specific to the museum. Place worth visiting.

Katrina Kinslow

Great historical site. People are so polite and educated. Time goes so fast while you are here. We spent 3 hours here and loved every minute of it!

Christopher Wilkins

Great historical site. Plan to go when it is cool in the summer

Monica Lenarcic

Amazing! Everyone gets into their character with costumes and accents. Valuable and entertaining information was given at each station. Spent 4 hours here.

Thomas DeAngelo

Good was not my favorite part yet Sarah was very impressive and we'll deserving of appreciation

Mary Kay Weidner

Great depict. Reenactors answered every question. Lots of school groups the day we were there.

Reed Haynes

Wow! This plantation is a living time capsule with great staff and "villagers" the people who are in charecter do a great job. The native portion is a wonderful look into native american life aswell. If you're coming to plimoth this is a must see

Anita Kingree

I cannot say enough great things about this place. It was fascinating for this history lover. I really enjoyed seeing the replica homes and all of the people in character. It's a beautiful place, and a fun way to learn making it great for all ages. The views are even beautiful. I was not disappointed at all with this experience!

Mary R Walker

Absolutely worth a visit but plan to take your time. Very interesting and informative - start early and you'll be ready for lunch and the remainder of the day on the beach.

Alexis Smith

Absolutely awesome. Worth the hour drive from Boston. I remember learning about the Plymouth plantation, mayflower, native Americans and the mayflower compact in middle school. I always told myself I wanted to go here and explore. The workers on the compound (in roll play) were hands down the best part. They really made you believe you were there in real time. They did not break character once and if you asked questions would answer to the best of their ability. I was told a few days later in Boston that they were planning on closing this place down. I hope this is not true!

Chuck Roberg

Nicely done. Reinactors are great

Mark Thomas

A wonderful day! Educational and fun.
