Visited Historic Annapolis for a field trip. Loved the informational tours we had. We even took a boat tour of the Bay and the view of the Naval Academy. Very informative. Have lived close to area for years and still Learned new things.

Quaint , scenic. Nice place to stretch your legs and enjoy an icecream. The only thing missing is a place to purchase true Chesapeake Bay seafood. In need of a decent seafood raw bar where you actually see the oyster boats dropping off their bushels of crabs, oysters, clams, and fresh fish.

It's a nice place to watch the boats come in. Relax on the benches. Near by are great places to grab a quick bite. We even watched the Blue Angles airshow last week from the docks, since they border the Naval Academy, where the show was hosted.

Excellent views and many restaurants from which to choose. It is close to the Naval Academy and downtown Annapolis. A very nice area for families or to go on a date or just hang with friends or alone. Typically busy.

Historic Annapolis is beautiful but I couldn't see its beauty to the fullest because I was with the most attractive women on the dock that day and my eyes was fixed on her walk, body and persona. We walked to see the sights but every turn I could see her beauty mirrored in the exhibits. She is gorgeous.

Been here countless times just to walk around the dock & take in the sites. Can visit anytime of the year, lots more going on during warmer months with more boat & activities in & around dock area. Took the lady out for dinner few months back (forgot to post).

The city dock is a great place to walk around and see boats, or catch a gentle breeze from the bay. It is also an excellent place for sitting on a bench and people watching. There are a lot of food places within a short walk as well, so you won't go hungry, all different types of food as well. The area can be busy at times, especially on the weekend.

OMG! I enjoyed this dock at the time we visited. The food choices were great and the weather was fit for a king. The breeze from the water was breathtaking. The surrounding bars and hotels were quaint. My date and I enjoyed the area but didn't get to do the one thing we set out to do and SAIL the Schooner. She was fearful of the boat once she saw it and I couldn't get a refund on the tickets I purchased. All in all, we ventured into one of the restaurants/bar and had an appetizer and drinks, took a stroll on the dock to calm down before driving home. It was a good time.

They have bird feeder dispensers and it seems the docks are pretty well maintained. There is an area to place your boats in and an area with access to the water. There are designated parking garages.

A very busy place. Parking can be challenging so be prepared to pay and walk but they have great events, shops, and it's wonderful to sit and watch boats come and go. It's a great social area! Make sure you go and treat yourself to Kilwins Ice cream! You won't regret it.

Terrible customer service. We have been going to Annapolis for years, utilizing the City Dock, and always have shown up. This time we had engine issues while on our way. We had a reservation but broke down on our way, had to be towed into the nearest marina and await (overnight) emergency repairs. Called the the City Dock immediately to let them know we lost and engine and would not be able to make it, they said “no worries, thanks for calling!” BUT They still charged me the full amount - I saw it a week later while reviewing my credit card statement. I called, spoke to the deputy harbor master, who said it was there policy and I was informed of said policy. Be warned, you are not informed of this policy when you make your reservation- you are only informed by email AFTER they already have your $$$. I tried to dispute the charge, even offering to send copies of my emergency service invoicing, but to no avail.

Perfect for walking around and enjoying the views of downtown Annapolis. I would recommend parking at the Calvert Street garage for free during the weekend rather than fight the traffic and pedestrians in the hunt for a parking place. Weekdays usually are not as bad when looking for a spot.

Did anybody say date night? Beautiful location at the sailing capital of the world. Many restaurants, some bars and little shops in this 400 year old area. Annapolis has been the capital of Maryland since the 1600's when it was still a British colony. Check out a ghost tour or a sailing tour. There are some great niche hotels. Enjoy! I will add some pictures next time I go. Stick with spring, summer and fall. It's not a very good cold weather destination.

Great place to stroll, but the traffic can detract from the experience. I don't know what the answer is for that. The shops, moreover the restaurants, are the star here. We've not been to them all, but we're working on it!

Great touristy place. Lots of options for food and places to buy cheap trinkets for the kids as souvenirs. The area was clean with no trash on the ground. I am not sure if there were people around to clean up or if there were just lots of people who just picked up after themselves.

The Kunta Kinte Festival took place at the Annapolis City Dock and it was a lot of fun! They had a lot of nice vendors to buy from and the performers were very entertaining!

I love this pottery place. It seriously has so many cool options and unique pieces. The employees are super helpful. They even will take up requests if you are looking for something specific. I got my significant other a graduation gift from here just to give an idea of how universal and cool this shop is. Local art as well. I especially like the cool mugs in the back. You will not be dissapointed when you check out this place. Thank you !

We absolutely loved this, tickets are resonable. Fun. But take a drink along if kids dont drink soda . We would definitely do this again . . The fun and friendly employees are great too

There is always something going on downtown at the dock. We love to take the kids and see the ducks. Occasionally there's a huge historical ship docked here. No matter if it's winter or summer it's always a beautiful sight to see.

A 'must see' for visitors to Annapolis, City Dock is very walkable, with shops and restaurants of all kinds. Sitting in Alex Haley park and watching the boats go up and down 'Ego Alley' is fun, especially when they have difficulty turning their big boats at the end.

It's spectacular to see the tall ships docked and often for tours! Recently, Mayor Buckley has overseen the installation of back flow preventers which are beginning to prevent flooding downtown impacting businesses and parking. The local shops and restaurants are all spectacular!

Love going to Annapolis to checkout the various shops. They have everything you could want from food, clothing, jewelry, artwork, etc. Can't remember having a bad meal there. Prices are for food is what I call moderate. Service is really pretty good no matter where ya go. The trip is worth your time.

Boat show comes to you while enjoying ice cream or a nice meal. The area is a little congested at times (both land and water) but it is nice to walk and visit the local eateries and small shops. There are nice tours both land and water. Much of the pedestrian area is bricks. The area is dog friendly.

Just a tourist trap. Traffic and parking are both very poorly managed. the only reason to go here is a local is to support local businesses despite the extortion that is parking here. There is no reason left for most people to go downtown. there are very few genuine attractions anymore and just a lot of places to buy overpriced seafood, ice cream, and t-shirts with anchors or American flags on them.

Completely setup for sea life and site seeing excursions as well as local sea going folks. Walking distance from Annapolis Naval Academy and the old town center for Annapolis. Careful about your choice of stores. There are a few tourist traps in the area as expected when in historic towns. Shop around before you buy. Annapolis Ice Cream is an absolute must.

Cute little town with a deep & rich historical charm. Make sure to visit where George Washington spent a lot of his time along with many other founding fathers to dine and socialize. Lots of little shops and specialty stores to choose from and conveniently accessible by highway. Locals are warm and treat you like family. Of course being the home of the Naval Academy visiting the Naval Museum is a must do or getting out with the crew from Woodwind 1 or 2, a set of schooners that provide a variety of cruise and race options. Hello Cpt Jen ;) I highly recommend getting a taste of the local cuisine. From fresh seafood to BBQ, they've got you covered.

Great area for relaxing, pictures, watching the boats, having a meal, or shopping. We came here to sightsee and have a date night. We went to one of the restaurants and then walked to the docks and on Main Street to checkout some stores. There are several local restaurants nearby since you are in historic downtown Annapolis. Several shopping as well nearby. The dock itself has benches to sit on. There are newspaper machines too. Cobblestone walkway creates part of the historic feel but beware you can trip easily since it is not flat/even and some of them are coming up. There are bathrooms and showers for boaters. They have parking but it can be a bit tight – some of it is free while others are metered. It is very beautiful at the docks. We did not partake in getting the famous ice cream nearby (Storm Brothers) since we were still full from dinner but it is a popular place. We hung out a while just looking at the water. Great area for people watching if you are into that. The Naval Academy is nearby as well if you want to visit that but check the times. I would definitely recommend going to the city dock. It is great if you are by yourself, with friends or family, or a date night.

I love walking around the City Dock on Saturday Evenings. Everyone is nice and friendly. You can get a meal or just a snack. Live music in and outside. You can rest at strategic places to people or boat watch. It's great.
