Beautiful falls and a wide path to if, bit not handicap friendly

Drove by.

Chris Cole

Bring your bug spray if you plan on coming at dusk - otherwise a spectacular waterfall view awaits after a relatively easy hike.

Christine Bernstein

Worth the trek in the pouring rain to see. Did not expect it to be such a long walk though. Thought it was right off the road.

Ok its a small hike but worth it, the colors, the sounds and good ol mother nature. Also bring empty jugs as you leave the trail there's about 2 miles down on the right headed to the big pond you'll find a natural spring. The water is crazy fresh

It's the tallest waterfall in Maine. It's a about a mile from trail head and it's an easy walk. It's not hard to find the way to the falls. You have to take a right from the bridge near forks and it's about 1.8 miles from there. The colors are awesome during the fall time.

A must see in Maine

Brett Hayden

Excellent! It's a beautiful hike and the view is spectacular. Trail is primitive enough to be enjoyable but tidy. A must see if you are in the area.

this place is amazing. We visited on a hot humid day and took advantage. deep water pools above the big falls that you can swim in and jump off the rocks! spent the weekend rafting, and adventuring and this place was my favorite! bring your camera, your waterproof camera! clean and peaceful, but a lot of visitors! go early if you want the best swimming hole!

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful waterfall with great surroundings and lots of nature. In winter even more beautiful, but paths quite dangerous. Coming from Buxtehude Germany. Route to the waterfall about 30 minutes one way.

Easy to find parking lot. Was very busy Columbus day weekend we were visiting from NH. Trail was easy to follow and has stairs and board walks here and there. Great views of the falls from the trail. I hiked down very steep banking below the falls to get pics from the base. Beautiful waterfall and was flowing great even for October!

Barbara Giusti

Beautiful location, we rode up on our snowmobiles. would love to see it when it's not frozen :-)

Paul Knight

It is a bit of a hike but totally worth it!

András Gerencsér

Beautiful place to go hiking.

Meg Smith

Nice walk to the waterfalls.

Tara Apperson

Fantastic falls, the hike is on an easy fairly level well-maintained trail. Once you get closer to the falls there are stairs down to the viewing point. Above the falls there is a small, unmarked trail that leads down to the river (a bit of a climb diwn, but perfectly manageble for me and my 8-year-old). There are some nice flat rocks here where we had a picnic and waded in some of the pools. The current is strong in the middle of the river, so use caution. Water temp was great, no too cold!

Escudero O'Neill

The walk was great and the view better

This place is worth every minute it takes to get there.

I love this place and I have been here several times over the years, and every time is different. The short relatively easy hike in takes about 20 minutes following a very well established trail. You'll know you are getting close when you begin to hear the falls. The forest is beautiful on the way in and very peaceful. The falls themselves are amazing and the trail maintenance folks have built a few overlooks so that you can safely view the falls from different angles. The side trails lead up and down Moxie Stream for additional perspectives. A series of small falls lead up to the big drop, and the gorge continues to the streams confluence with the Kennebec River. A great hike for individuals, couples, and families as children of all ages should have little difficulty managing the main trail. If you're rafting, camping, or just passing through the area it is worth the time to stop in and take the hike. Easy to find from the road with free parking and no charge to hike the trail. Stop and enjoy the wonder that is Moxie Falls!

William Ryan

Easy trail except the last 50 yards or so, beautiful trail and falls. Make sure you go up and down the last set of stairs for the best view.

Gabriel Swanson

A little tricky to get to the pool but well worth it.

Laurie Chisholm

Very romantic spot, I was proposed to here!

Erich Krause

Really nice water fall in the middle of nowhere. Not a bad walk to get to it, not very good of you have a stroller.

Rachel Sargent

Absolutely love this place! Not bad for swimmimg as long as you don't find a fly nest

Tim Cary

Beautiful place to visit. Nice 1 mile hike. Has viewing platforms. Check it out in winter for a real treat!

A beautiful place! The ride to get there is equally as beautiful - scenic spots all throughout the Forks region. Once you get to the entrance of Moxie Falls there is a lovely trail to follow, about a 15-20 min. walk, with stairs and terraces built along the way. If you are ever in Maine, it's a place to make sure you see!

The trail is well maintained and easy. It leads to a lovely waterfall. There are a couple platforms built to help you get good views and great pictures. This isn't a get in the water type of fall as the trail is to the top of the waterfalls.

Andrew Johnson

Beautiful place to visit. Nice easy hike off the road. Well worth going a little out of the way for this one. Nice pools for wading and swimming, as long as you dont mind going off the beaten path to get to the pools

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. The hike down to the falls is not long. You can take your time and you can also move quickly if you would like to. The trail itself is well traveled and clearly marked. Depending on the time of year you may have beautiful foliage or an abundance of many different mushrooms.

Kelly Hamilton

Any easy to medium hike of about 1 mile in for those not in the best of shape. Steep at the end. There are 2 sets of falls so make sure to go all the way down to see both sets.
