Great place to visit in the summer time !! You can fish on the water go for a walk or have a picnic. And during the 4th of July there are festivities going on along with fireworks. Other than that plenty of business in the area if you need fuel it a bite to eat. Winter time visit I wouldn't really recommend...

A whole lot of more historical and more impressive sites. It was pretty small and only a corner of the original fort. Not worth the drive.

Great place for fishing, recreation, and to get some nice hotdogs down the street, sadly no fourth of July celebrations there anymore.

Was disappointing... place was clean but seemed more of a park to bbq or have a picnic than a part of history and the fort is also locked so you can't even view it from the inside

It's a beautiful park, well maintained, and clean! There are several covered picnic tables with a paved trail providing access for everyone. The views of the Sebasticook and Kennebec rivers are spectacular. People fish at the far point where the rivers meet. The park is closed at dark and the town closes it during winter. There is no charge for enterance or parking.
