Black History of Baseball's Finest. While honoring 18th and Vine's finest entrepreneurs, The Popper (Walter Erwin) and many other great leaders in our community.

Robert Kachman

While it is compact, it packs a lot of history into it. And the price of admission is great. Provides multiple aspects of the history, not just the musicians, but the tech and techniques involved as well.

Wayne Jones

We invested 4 hours and went fast. Still couldn't listen to everything. Several displays did not work, and proofreading on their reading was sketchy. Generally roomy, well-maintained, felt fairly new. More sound shield between speakers would be nice, felt very Charles Ives. Lots of good material and some that was new to me! Thanks

Corinne Steffens

Incredibly kind staff! Lots of fun exhibits about a lot of different musical artists. Some interactivity which was really cool. Blue room is beautiful.

I love jazz, so that is my bias. However, this museum can be educational for everyone, even for my father who knew little about jazz the museum is small and feels outdated, but for me as a Jazz pianist, the visit was worth it. They highlight 4 or 5 musicians, and you can spend the whole day just listening to their discographies and contributions to Jazz. Otherwise, if you are not interested in Jazz to begin with, perhaps skip this place and go to other attractions.

Didn't expect much due to size. Was completely floored by how well the material was well researched and organized. It took me two hours to actually get through Louis Armstrong and barely started Bird. Wasn't able to finish, since I scheduled too little time for it and family was already waiting outside. Recommend scheduling a whole day for Jazz enthusiasts. Small, but totally worth it.

DiAnne James

Wonderfully done! Lots to see and learn here, plan on taking your time to enjoy.
