Great place to spend time with family and get some exercise. Lots to do and very clean

DL Shidler

Amazing trails. Simply one of a kind around indiana.

piotr wolodkowicz

Awesome hiking trails, but a lot of people.

Kristina McB

My friends talk about this park so much, and on my way back from Chicago with my dogs I finally decided to stop. I am so glad that we did! Gorgeous park, excellent trails, and the staff is just so wonderful all around. Already planning to come back!

Anita

My husband and I just returned from camping at Turkey Run State Park, we really enjoyed our visit. Ashley at the check in was helpful at locating us a site that had a little more shade than the one we had chose online. Hiking at the park was beautiful with so much to see we only got through a small portion, but have intention of returning to see experience more. At the horse barn, Lexi and Sarah were pleasant and extremely knowledgeable of the horses, making our trail ride both safe and fun. Make sure you make reservations if you think you may be interested the trail rides fill quickly. We took the 10 mile canoeing trip at Sugar Valley and found it to be relaxing. We brought a very small cooler for our packed lunch/drinks, a soft sided cooler would be best as space is limited on the bus to/from the water and would be easier to manage. Again, make your reservations ahead of time. We found the Up The Creek Boatique next to the Sugar Valley to have reasonable prices for a bite to eat and a cold drink. Ziplining: Again, make sure you call ahead for times and reservations and wear close toed shoes. The people at Indiana Zip Line Tours could not have been any nicer. Trevor and Cory were our guides. They were both knowledgeable, communicated well about each of the 8 courses making our experience safe and enjoyable. This was our first zip lining experience and we would do it again without hesitation. We don't typically do so many activities on a camping trip, but the proximity of the various activities made our camping experience that much more enjoyable. Everyone we encountered were welcoming, making this a place we will be more likely to return to and recommend to others. Thank you for a fun visit.

JackTheDarkHorse

Very beautiful place, definitely more than worth the $7 to see.

Why do all camping facilities have to be complete from 1960 still? Time to update. Yes it's more primitive to camp, but we still should have clean toilets and bathrooms without soaking wet floors. And showers that are clean and have a place to sit your stuff without it all getting wet. Why is everything wet in all the public buildings?

Shawn Sullivan

Absolutely amazing day of hiking here! I hiked trails 3, 5, 9 and 10. There was a very nice mix of rugged and moderate hiking which kept it very interesting. The views were great the whole time. I highly recommend being prepared to get your feet a little wet. You can get through most of the trails and keep your feet dry but it's more fun if you dont have to worry about it. I highly recommend.

Joyce Renfrew

We returned to Turkey Ron after visiting maybe 5 to 6 years ago. A lot of work has been done since our last trip. Updated, upgraded and beautifully old fashioned and homey still!

Trails had some really cool features like the ladders and the "punch bowl". We hiked a moderate trail, number 3. It was leisurely, but also involved some climbing. After our hike, we are lunch in the picnic area where some friendly squirrels helped us eat our lunch. That was probably my favorite part. The only thing I could have done without was that there were so many people. There were a couple of times that we ending up at a stand-still just because the trails were so filled with people. All in all, it was a great time though and we will definitely be going back. We will probably go during the week though, in hopes that it will be less busy and maybe we can see more wild life.

Kshitiz Goel

Had a great experience. Having all different levels of trails coupled with friendly fellow hikers made this one of the best trips. Highly recommended.

Jamie Kernel

With a mix of trail difficulty these trails are a perfect place for any age of family to explore. Connecting with nature is important, and Turkey Run is an amazing place to do that. Absolutely beautiful!

Alexandria Cartine

This place is so beautiful and the trails are amazing. Its rugged trails and you must be careful. It's so historic and theres a lot to do.

Rob Acton

Fantastic state park. Great trails and beautiful views. The lodge is nice with good but over priced food. The wait staff was really hit and miss as well. Overall though, a great place to visit and bring the family.

Jean K

Absolutely an amazing hiking spot! We did trail 3, 5 , and 9 loops, the rugged trails, lots of rocks and low climbing, ledges, ladders to climb down, logs to walk across, just amazing. You will get a workout in beautiful surrounding! The trails are well groomed but they do get very tricky on the footing. Be sure to wear decent hiking shoes, because it gets muddy and wet with trickles of a stream. I wore my chako sandals and they were perfect. Here is a huge tip: Go EARLY in the morning because it gets super crowded and that makes it more complicated. You would never know that you are in Indiana with the cliffs, greenery, huge trees, and giant rock slabs. They have easy hikes and hard hikes. There is also a suspension bridge that you cross. There is a river that people were tubing down and also canoes and kayaks. There is also a pool near the entrance but I don't know the details on that. We plan on going tubing and/or canoing next time. It cost $7 per car to get in to this park---what a deal! This is a gem of a place. I can't wait for our next visit.

Don Mcgraw

Our family has been to Turkey run 5 or 6 times. Each time is better than the last! We tended to hurry too much in previous years and missed some of the things that create the forever memories. Slow down, soak in what you see, and listen to the birds at sunset.

John Dragoo

So much potential! So much natural beauty! The Inn had so many nice features, like a great indoor pool, nice lounge/game room, great restaurant, and a comfortable veranda. Picnic areas were plentiful and well-maintained. Outdoor pool was large and clean. BUT . . . Trail markers were missing or in disrepair. Trails needed some basic maintenance. Stables were pretty bleak and somewhat neglected. Cabin rooms at the Inn were old, dated, damp, dark, and lacked outlets. The Park just needs some state attention/investment.

Mark Jessica

This park is gorgeous. The trails and nature are amazing to explore. Sugar Creek is a neat place to spend the day kayaking or canoeing. Dog friendly and clean park. Beautiful place that deserves five stars, but park staff needs to get on the trails and start enforcing park rules. People are inconsiderate but this should be a safe park for everyone to enjoy.

Chris G

This is a great State Park with nice hiking trails. The park is well maintained and has a good variety of things to see.

Judy Karl

Beautiful hiking trails maps and markings are easily understandable. One of my favorite places.

Catherine Howland

This is a gem. It is a beautiful park with fantastic hikes. Great any time of the year. There are challenging hikes and easy hikes. Dogs are welcome and there are also great picnic places. My favorite park in Indiana.

Mark Harris

Beautiful State Park in a quiet part of west central Indiana. One of the oldest state parks in the state and definitely a hidden gem!

Lisa Winhold Walker

I grew up hiking here and it still amazes me. There's nothing but flat land and crops for miles, but set foot in the park and it's a completely different world full of canyons and rock formations. The trails are well maintained and beautiful. I never tire of them.

Sinkum

One of the best parks in indiana. They have camping, cabins and a real nice inn and restaurant. Nice pool. Canoe down the river. Walk the suspension bridge.

Ekaterina Labkovskaia

Trail #3 is exciting! Be ready for water:) Beautiful park and great views! Came a long way from Chicago and it was worth it!

Frank Finkelstein

One of the best state parks. Busy but beautiful. Trail 3 will make you feel like you’re in Colorado.

Dee Hostetler

Anniversary weekend celebrated a few months late. Very nice place.

Noel Scott

Wonderful state park none of the trails are too long or difficult. Be cautious with shoes as some of the trails take you through water. I would also recommend checking out kayaking or canoeing while in the area on sugar creek. Makes for a wonderful day.

Psychology Zhou

Beautiful foliage and great elevations for hiking we miss in PNW

Brandie Miller

The most beautiful hiking in Indiana! Nicely maintained and marked well.

Rebamarie Ross

I've been going to Turkey Run for 45 years now. Always have enjoyed the beautiful trails though. I'm getting a little old to climb up the side of a canyon but enjoy the walk thru. Go early and hike in with proper hiking shoes "NOT FLIP FLOPS". Be sure to carry water with you in a backpack.

Alex Burba

Amazing park! The hiking trails are for the most part pretty rugged. You can cross streams and climb up rocks. And the suspension bridge is out of this world! I'll DEFINITELY be coming back!

Chris King

It is one of the most beautiful places in nature I've ever been to.

Donna Harris

Turkey Run was so enjoyable. Wanting to return with our kids and grandkids. Very beautiful

Tiffany Arnold

Turkey Run is a beautiful park... wish it wasnt the hottest weekend ever cause we would have done more exploring! We will for sure be back to experience more of the park!

Paul Lee

I’ve been to turkey run couple times, and I always enjoyed it. Trails are amazing with lot of greens and creeks. You can stop at any point and let the nature engulf you. A small word of advice is to bring a small towel since some spots are very slippery and make you fall

Jonathan Mast

This is one of the best parks in Indiana. The waterfalls are lovely, the trails are incredible, and the canyons are not something you want to miss. The covered bridge is something to visit as well. Some of the trails will be too difficult for young children to travel on.

Mark Jarrett

Great park, very scenic and we love camping there

Susan Harrison

This was the first time staying here in our travel trailer. Reservations are best if you have a big rig. We have a 38ft trailer with a garage for our daughters golf cart. When we drop the ramp to unload the cart we're front to end of ramp 60ft long and have to unload in the parking lot. I don't know if they allow golf carts in the park, though I'm sure he explained it's our daughter's primary mode of transportation when we camp, my husband made the reservation. There is documentation for meeting the requirements for ADA law, just look it up and be sure to read the latest revision. That being said it's a great campground. They have an easy trail (highlight of trip) that had great views, there are many moderate, hard, and rugged if you want to go hiking. All have great views, my son, his wife, and our granddaughter have hiked all of them. Overall we had a fabulous time just hanging around and doing as little as possible. If you love to hike or just chill this is a state park to visit.

Levi Messer

Turkey Run has been a family tradition and an amazing get-away experience my whole life. I love this place. I was highly disappointed by the new narrow pathways being constructed through the hollows and the signs restricting foot traffic - "Biologic Site" nonsense. PLEASE do not ruin Turkey Run while pretending to preserve it!

Gretchen Zimmer

Lots of private camp sites, bathhouse is dated but clean. The hiking is an A+++! Trail 3 is awesome. It is very rugged but well worth it if you have good knees and agile. No internet if you have Verizon.

This is absolutely a perfect place to get away and enjoy quiet time. The trails are fun and cater to those who just want to take a stroll through nature or rugged for those who want a challenge. Each campsite is a nice sized and well cared for. The restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. I have also enjoyed staying at the on ground hotel for two nights. My next goal is to stay in a cabin. Whichever you chose the price is very reasonable and perfect for a family on a limited vacation budget.

Jasmine Dong

Great trail selections with stunning view. Would definitely come back again!

Morgan Zoeller

Hard to beat the beauty of this park in Indiana. Awesome getaway for a quick fall break trip. Trails vary from easy to rugged.

Beth Wade

I love to hike, and these trails did not disappoint. I would go so much more often if I lived closer.

Beth Gugenheim

We have never had a bad experience at Turkey Run. Of course, it's usually busy on holidays and weekends, but still always fun. The trails are great (Trail #3 is a must if you're up for an adventure...it's even better after there's been some rain for a few days before you go!), and my kids have a blast. Best way to get away from the world for a little bit. We try to go a couple times a year, and highly recommend it to anyone who asks!

SEABEE

Out state customer with family. Enjoyed all of this state park but!! Our cabin had 4 legged visitor. Had to rid of our food.. And a little more attention needed in cleaning rooms is needed.

Cher Kindschi

My husband and I had a wonderful time camping and hiking. The park is amazing!

Cheryl Williams

The park is beautiful and the trails are fun to walk. A great way to spend an afternoon

Vanessa Essex Snow

Beautiful Park with alot of marked walking trails, both rugged and easy. Large public swimming pool. Many picnic tables and shelter houses with charcoal grills throughout the park. Nature Center, which I personally LOVE, because you can sit and watch the many birds, squirrels, and other wildlife that visit the feeding stations. Public restrooms on site. Pet friendly and handicap accessible restrooms and nature center. Great Park.

Byron Stubblefield

Great State Park in Indiana. It was a great day to be out and about. Fall foliage is awesome.

Jason Valbert

Always love hiking and camping at Turkey run. The trails have different soul levels. The advanced level is steeper, but also has ladders that are fun to navigate. Jjust be careful because there are NO fences behind the ladders and the dropoff has a rock bottom several feet below with some water. Bicycling around the campground is fun, canoeing, kayaking or tubing the river is a blast. When camping we did find that they have no individual water hookups at your site, but instead a water pole location where you fill-up. Didn't know this until after we had setup camp and unhooked camper. Great place to camp and have fun with the whole family. Covered Bridges in the area are another site to see as well.

Sylvia Fitzgerald

We had a wonderful time in the game room and at the fire pit at night it was beautiful

Aiyshwariya PK

It's great for trails or if you just wanna chill out at the pool or both! So much fun to go with friends or on dates.

Connie Brown

Trail 3 was a great experience for all of us. Our group ranged in ages from 7 yrs old to 64 yrs. We all loved it!

Tiffany R

Really great hiking trails! Also, a nice place to picnic. Horseback riding and a swimming pool are also in the park. The inn is also a nice place to stop and stay.

Appledash

Finished the five mile trail for the patch. And did an extra 5 miles for fun.

matt emenhiser

If you aren't checking out trail 3, you're doing it wrong. The wife and I had so much fun!

David Hitze

Very nice Park. Has some Beautiful trails. #3 is the best. It is rugged. Has a nice car show Labor day weekend at the Inn.

John Clemens

So much fun here. Beautiful area and the #3 trail has a lot of diversity. Conditions change when there is a lot of water, so be careful! Has a lodge which is regularly updated.

dont tread on me

Great hiking. Good fishing. Just too many people. Its to be expected on a weekend. Id go again but maybe on the week day.

Richard PELLECCHIA II

Awesome state park! Floated the river, super fun. Found fossils as well. Kids had a wonderful time. Very good place to spend the day

Debbie Agnew

It is a wonderful place. I hiked a path to a most gorgeous little canyon with a river running thru it. The rock faces were amazing. Walked across a suspension bridge. I will come again.

Bethany Hale

This was a fun and beautiful place to hike. The only issue we had was that the trails were not marked very easily. We had our little kids and started down trail 3, which was really easy at first and so pretty. It says rugged, but the beginning is a walk in the park. If you want to see the towering rock formations, definitely do the first part of that hike. They also have a playground, which was a good spot to picnic.

Ken

Beautiful place. Well maintained. Very friendly staff. Bring water. I recommend trail 3.

Jeff Anderson

Beautiful. Please take care of it if you go. Fragile ecosystems need our care. Great hiking trails.

Toni Dayberry

There is nothing to dislike, we took 2 of our grandchildren canoeing on Sugar Creek, we did 10 mile trip, water was a bit low while we were there. But the kids took advantage of it to be in the water instead of the canoe. Will do this again, they also had kayaking available. Both thumbs up.

Jaunita

Our family had a blast. We canoed the 3 mile and loved the ride. Wish we had more time to explore more.

Lauretta Hapke

Have always liked this park and have camped at the campground as well as stayed in the Inn (years ago). Park has a lot of trails from 1 to 5 stars for difficulty. Still love the suspension bridge. Water was low though so were didn't canoe. Recommend this park.

Liz Jacqmain

We stayed at the campground at Turkey Run. The camp was very clean and well maintained. Was impressed with how often the shower house was cleaned and how well stocked the bathrooms were. All staff we encountered were pleasant and polite. We enjoyed hiking and the pool in the park. Looking forward to visiting again.

david flores

Amazing place to take a walk with family including kids and or pets

Gary Hensley

The best State park in Indiana. Been coming here since I was a child and now I'm 72. Love it.

Jeffrey Goodrich

Turkey run is a beautiful park with hikes suitable for all ages. Some hikes are a bit rugged and may not be great with small kids. We did trail 3 to 10. Portions of trail 3 require hiking through water. It is possible to pick your way through on dry rocks, but it's much easier if you just come prepared to get your feet wet.

Heather Denman

Excellent place for family outings. Pool is nice and the trails are extremely fun. Suspension bridge is a must as well as the covered bridge.

Emily Tharnish

Amazing state park. We stayed at the cabins run by the Turkey Run Inn and had a great experience. Lots of great trails to hike with beautiful views!! We will definitely be coming back

Kimberly Matthews

Beautifully scenic! Awesomely rugged trails. I thoroughly suggest water resistant boots while hiking. Depending on which trail you decide on, will determine the difficulty. Nice historical educational plaques around describing the area. Pet friendly. Low fees. Bathrooms are sparse in the fall/winter months.

Jason Ingram

Great hiking! Trails are well marked, and very detailed and accurate maps are available.

David Bradley

Very nice park, peaceful, relaxing. Staff throughout the park very friendly and helpful. Turkey Run is a beautiful park, nice hills, really nice trails, good variety of hiking/ walking opportunities. The suspension bridge offers a picturesque view of the river and gives access to more trails and hills. We had a short 3 to 4 hour visit at Turkey Run this past Monday, was refreshing and relaxing. The family enjoyed the horses, and taking pictures at the park. We would recommend Turkey Run State Park to anyone for a nice overnight stay at the Turkey Run Inn or a camping trip. Any size group any ages, there's something for everyone.

Sharon Roberts

Beautiful park with miles of beautiful trails, a nice inn with good food, clean campgrounds, a fun outdoor pool, and an excellent indoor pool in the inn. The nature center has lots of interesting programs and lectures. Highly recommend.

Teresa Jean May

Amazing. I can't even begin to describe the feelings you get roaming through here. My hiking partner said trail 6 felt like we had stepped back into the time when dinosaurs roamed. I've been on Trails 1,6,7,11. They are all different and beautiful in their own ways.

Praveen Reddy

It’s a fun place kayaking hiking valleys and wandering around the Trails beside the river. Awesome nature loved it. Valleys are the beautiful things should not be missing them if you visit. And last but not least there is a suspension bridge and cool box yaaay ❤️

Keith Patrick

Love it all. Beautiful park. Awesome hiking. Fantastic campground. Huge pool. What's not to like???

Jarumy López

Beautiful place! I finished exhausted but happy because I spent a good time sorounded by nature. You can go, have your lunch and then walk through the trails.

Barbara Moser

Been coming here for over 40 years. It's one of the best parks for hiking in the area. Not happy with the changes to trail 3, that's what happens when people don't respect nature.

Lizzle Pop

Gorgeous. Great hiking. My new favorite Indiana State Park. Appreciated the many water fountains, and there are also many public restrooms. Need all day to see everything. So much natural beauty going on here.

David Grise

An amazing place to experience nature. One of Indiana's hidden secrets !! The Inn has a pool and a full restaurant.

Michael Schiller

Turkey Run is always an awesome time. They have some great trails a d we always love the horseback riding!

Michal Marzec

Gorgeous views. Very well kept, and lots of various trails for different kinds of hikes. Make sure to pack a pair of water ready boots as some cool spots to reach will get your shoes wet - noob mistake for my first visit out there.

Paul Leach

If you are looking for a definition of deafening silence. Here is a great example. Loved ir!

Pat Mistak

I've always loved this park. There is something for everyone. Checkout the buffet at the Inn while you are there. Delicious!

Martin Vlcek

Love this park. Trails are well marked and maintained. We had good service in the restaurant. Room was clean.

Sarah Kayeye

Great experience, with so many wonderful activities to do . I went horse riding for the first time here and I had a blast. The staff was so nice and helpful.

Luis Carrillo

The trails at Turkey run are excellent; there is lots of hiking, ladder climbing, water falls, a pool, a camp site and even more. A wonderful place to take your family and enjoy The Lord’s creation.

Miranda Ennen

Beautiful park you have to see once in your life. Trails are beautiful with easy to rugged trails. You can also rent canoes, kayaks or tubes. There's camping a pool horseback riding. Also a great place for family get togethers. Plenty to do all around.

Jason Nieten

Great place to come with your family for a day trip to hike some trails. It's easily within driving distance of Indianapolis.

Sage Arbor

Best state park we've been to in Indiana. The ladder trail (#3) is their most well known one, but continuing on trail #9 makes it more than twice as long a loop and is nice.

mike tissenbaum

Wonderful hiking and a great place to spend a day. The routes are good for the whole family and the rest of the facilities are clean and nice. We'll definitely be going back to try some more of the trails.

Emma Guerrero

Our family always has a great time. Clean park and it makes for an inexpensive day trip. Hiking trails are gorgeous and easy to navigate. Love!

Ellen Culpepper

On a Saturday of pouring rain, the Lodge was packed with intergenerational families playing board and card games. Kids took turns at the piano impressing us all. When the rain finally stopped the trails were exceptional!

Peggy McBride

Beautifully Maintained State Patk. Delicious Food Served at the Inn. Reasonably priced rooms.

Jaylin Lopez

Very nice place! Quiet, peaceful and a great place to enjoy nature. PS- Don't forget the bug spray

VoltsLackin Golf

Beautiful area with lots of hidden treasures to walk around and see

Cecy Medina

Such a majestic place! Love going hiking there. Definitely a must see.

Terrence Jent

Turkey Run is one of, if not the most popular of all the Indiana State parks. You'd be challenged to find better hiking opportunities than those at Turkey Run. We have small children so we didn't get to try some of the more rugged trails, but we look forward to enjoying them as they become age appropriate for the kids. We stayed at the campground and it was nice. The bugs were bad, but it is to be expected. The pool is very nice and has a small area for toddlers. The Inn is a nice option for meals and exploring as well. Would also highly recommend canoeing, kayaking or floating Sugar Creek! We'll be back in the fall!

Henry Ballzack

Wasn't the best experience. Mostly due to all the other groups. Most seemed to be middle Eastern and Latin American. Didn't feel comfortable bringing my family.

Karri Hill

Beautiful park and awesome hiking... Also pet friendly! Really looking forward to spending more time there this summer and in the fall when all the colors have changed it should be beautiful!

T. J. Hart

Beautiful trails and relaxing place to spend the day.

SAMUEL TURRUBIARTE

By far the best hiking i have done the trails are so amazing so much to see great camp ground clean as well its a must if you live near by

Edward McDonald

Great place to get away for a couple of days just to relax, winter is 2 for 1 nights instead of 100.00 a night its 100.00 dollars for 2 nights Sunday through Thursday.

James Lin

Very scenic hiking, and a variety of camping/cabin/hotel options available. There was a big camping crowd when we were there, so the soap dispenser ran dry early in the weekend at the campground and was not refilled till Monday, so bring your own for convenience.

Edna McWilliams

Wonderful place to take the family . Hard to get camping reservations though. We tried to get booked 4 months before going and they were already full. MAKE UR RESERVATION ASAP

Ryan Wojda

WOW. What a place! If you enjoy hiking and camping, you owe it to yourself to get out to Turkey Run as soon as you can. It's amazing! It's so hard to believe that it's in Indiana! I'm already looking forward to going back, easily one of my favorite parks ever!!

Ethan Berridge

One of the most beautiful places I've been in Indiana. I'd say the best time to go is in Fall, the leaves changing are amazing from the suspension bridge.

Alec Nilsen

Absolutely gorgeous! I've been going to Turkey Run since I was a kid, well over twenty years and the variety of trails and their uniqueness is really cool. From the mild, calm stroll through the woods of trail one to the adventurous and famous "ladder trail" (trail 3) Turkey Run never disappoints!

Connie Munsterman

Great inexpensive family day. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy a great day outdoors!

April Tamashiro

This is an amazing place to go hiking! It is so beautiful here and there are trails for a lot of different levels.

Krishna Chaitanya Chetty A

Love this place for good outdoor hiking experince and to enjoy the nature. Can't expect much from Indiana but this place one of the places to be checked out for sure.

eric anders

My wife and I enjoyed a hike in this beautiful state park. Lots of colors, and so peaceful! The air was crisp and clean, and we had the trails to ourselves early on. This place was stunning and very clean...come and enjoy!

Johanna Parrish

This state Park is so cool with a beautiful river to cannoe on and see covered bridges

Nick Sleight

This park is a fantastic place with great hiking trails and some spectacular views in the canyons. There's plenty to do here including camping, kayaking and hiking. Some of the trails bring you down into these amazing canyons that are quite cool and can be fun/challenging to traverse. I would only recommend this park to people who can handle alot of rough terrain and narrow passages. You can bring your dog BUT I would not recommend it since the trails can be quite narrow and dangerous if you make a wrong step. Overall if you want to get a really cool experience in Indiana stop here and visit. It would also probably look the best in fall when the leaves are changing too.

Jackie Hardman

This place is a nature lovers paradise nestled back in the woods in Indiana.....It is a best kept secret since I've never heard of it before....But it is beautiful and Rustic......The service was amazing ......the trails were gorgeous.....cant wait to come back

Philip

The grounds were beautiful and well kept along the trails. The staff in the lodge were friendly and the food we ate was delicious.

Jennifer Woodcock

Such a beautiful place to hike! There are so many things to do- camping, hiking, tubing, rafting, canoeing, swimming, etc. Highly recommend for great family memories!

Paula Bray

Great family fun. Read your map! Trail 3 was a blast! But..large dogs and infant children are not suggested. You actually have to climb ladders!

Tony Cripe

Love the awesome rock formations carved by water. Rugged trails. Can easily spend all day walking all the trails. If you've never been then you gotta go.

Brian McKee

I was last here about 20 years ago when I was about 7 years old. I remember it being amazing back then and I think I enjoyed it even more this time. I continually recommend people go here.

Tim Francis

Great place for hiking. One of my favorites in Indiana.

Brent Mier

Turkey Run is always terrific. Trails 3,5,9,10. Total of about 6 miles. Lots of steps. Definitely a little rugged, but totally worth it.

Mark Wisehart

My Family and I have been coming here for 50 years!! It has stayed the same in all the right ways and changed in good ways like the addition of the Nature center, upgrades on the hotel and restaurant and the amazing pool! I’ve traveled the US and this park still is in the top 10! Trail #3 is a must see must do for those who are physically able. Amazing place!

Lawrence Erhardt

Park is beautiful with plenty of nice hiking trails. The horseback riding was awesome; people and horses were nice. Did go off grounds to kayak though believed we still went through the park. You should visit.

Lauren Schnur

Good memories to have w family. Very busy paths and waterways. Liked the Park but not the crowds so much...

Kain Byers

Great place for an easy or challenging hike. They don't have any trash cans anywhere (pack it in, pack it out), something to be aware of if you have stuff to toss. $9 parking for non IN residents, pretty steep for a State Park

Buffalo Herd

Spend a few hours or a few days... There's so much to do and see. We canoed through on Sugar Creek. Then we came back and spent several hours hiking the trails. #3 & #9 - challenging but rewarding, great views!

Jessica Alford

Such a great place to spend time with nature. Make sure to bring water and good shoes though.

Rhonda Pressnell

I loved this place yrs ago. I wish so badly my mom n dad would still be here. Even though they couldn't walk the trails anymore. We could still enjoy doing other things out there. My hubby n granddaughter also best friend was just out there. We walked trail 3. Omg never again! I forgot how tremendously hard that one was. Back in the day we could do that one with ease. Well no more I guess lol. With that being said, we will always love coming to this place!

Andrea Washington

What a great park. They have something for everyone. I would like to stay at the hotel next time my family and I visit.

Marc-Grégor Campredon

The trail the trade are very nice and very easy. They have some nice features with the bridge, the stairs, and the "fridge". I would recommend to go with shoes with good ankle support as some part can be a tad difficult. The longer trail are a bit exhausting but nothing hard for casual walker. The different view are really nice, especially of the river and the different stones and rocks. A lots of picnic area with shades and tables and bbq are present. The playground is just enough to make the kids happy before/after trail. We spotted numerous birds, raccoons, etc. The nature is really nice. Some area have poison ivy, but the trail are cleared enough to not be a problem. Only down side? It can be a tad crowded so not so much for feeling lost in nature.

Helene Albano

Wonderful hiking! Good food and excellent service at Lodge restaurant. Working to educate public in environmental concerns.

Barb Hattery

Every trail is breathtaking! Whether you want an easy hike or a rugged trail, Turkey Run has it all. Pictures don’t do it justice sometimes. I go several times a year and the hour drive is worth it for me and my dog!! You can hike, eat at the Inn, stay at the Inn or camp at their campground. Just a couple of miles down the road you can rent a canoe or kayak or go tubing!! It’s a great park anytime of year!!

Definitely take trail #3 if it's your first time. It's the best trail and you'll be in the cool temperatures of the rocks if it's hot out. You also get to climb up a rock that takes two huge ladders! Also and fyi, there is a place very near Turkey Run Park where you can go Canoeing or Kayaking down Sugar Creek! Beware that it could be dangerous and I wouldn't recommend children afraid of heights or too young.

The nature here is beautiful! Bring your hiking shoes for the trails. If you stay in the Inn, bring some allergy medication as they have a moisture/ mold problem in some of the rooms. Other than that... great place!

We had a fantastic time on the hiking trails! My 9 and 5 year old loved the "adventure" we went on trail #3! Beautiful landscape all around! Highly recommend and will be back!!

Amazing layout from a huge pool to trails that take you through creek beds and sandstone gorges. Make sure to get a trail map!!

Beautiful but busy, that's why no 5 star. Do yourself a favor and go on a weekday. Or on the off season? Very beutiful though with lots of nice trails Rocky bluffs, creeks and ravines.

One of the best State Parks in Indiana if not the whole Midwest! Amazing geological features and hiking trails. Be sure to bring water and get a trail map at the gate house. I've come across people without both and they have always needed one or the other.

Can’t believe this amazing place is here. I felt like I was in a foreign land. The hike through the canyons and up the streams was mesmerizing. Despite the label of “very rugged” or “rugged”, anybody could do these trails with a little cation. Even the ladders were easier and safer than I was expecting. Bring hiking boots though. You will get muddy. You can link together a lot of trails for customizeable distances and scenery easily. The bluebells were blooming and I though that was spectacular.
