My family and I took both a two-hour tour and also a two-day tour up the Kentucky River. Both were excellent. The staff are wonderful. We were with my 89-year-old father, and we were at the limits of his mobility getting in and out of the boat, but the crew (and the other guests, for that matter) were extremely supportive and helped make everything possible. The boat goes fast, so you see a lot of lovely country, but the sound of the wind and the motors means that you probably shouldn't expect to have a lot of long conversations on Rockin' Thunder. But it's great if you want to sit back and relax and take in the beautiful scenery, with occasional stops for a number of interesting and often funny stories about the history of the rivers and the people who have lived on and along them.

Safe and exciting ride, but their wake trashes my boat every time they pass by. I have to tie down my teapot and cooler whenever I know they will be in the area. The pilot and customers make a friendly wave but their thunder boat waves smack me and my boat with several hundred pounds of force. What does this company do when they pass smaller craft like canoes or fishing boats? Go from 40 mph to 5?

Great time! We did the hour tour and it was a great mix of speed, donuts, local history and humor. I did this we my 10 year old son and it held his attention the entire hour.

This was an AMAZING experience!! Capt Will was great. He made this a memorable experience. The music was great that he played while driving the boat. It was just my husband, 16yr & 10yr old sons & myself. We were SOAKED by the end of the ride. We kept asking for more & we got it. Lol Capt Will was even soaked & laughed with us. We would definitely do this again, if we ever came back this way. We are from Long Island,NY. If you like wild & crazy, this is for you. Capt Will, thank you for a GREAT time. Kyle at the booth was a pleasure to work with. We filled out the paperwork with him.

Tried taking a boat tour and the guy was very rude. No one was going on tour for 3 hours but he refused to take my family out. Bottom line is the guy I was talking to was a complete jerk!

Wonderful tour. The boat is in perfect condition. The captain's are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would deffinately make another trip just for this. I plan to recommend this to several people I know. We saw 5 different bald eagles on one 2 hour tour. 2 sets of mated pairs and one other later on.

I don't appreciate Paul Nicholson, the note you put on my truck about where I parked tonight at the "pubic landing" in Madison. Being labor day weekend, the landing was packed. There was no other place to park but the center of the landing, like I did with 7 other trucks and trailers. I see you put a note on my truck that said.."if your gonna park in the center, don't boat here". That's extremely rude, especially I saw you didn't put notes on any other trucks. Please remember, it's s "PUBLIC LANDING" not rocking thunders landing. You have to share like we have to share with you. Please do not harass me or threaten me that I'm going to be ticketed if I park there again. I try to be considerate at the landing and would appreciate if you would also!

100% the best service anyone could ask for. The knowledge of the river, and history of the area was GREAT. I looked at all the reviews, and noticed some low scores, i try to find what they complained about, but could not. We will be taking the 2 day overnight trip next year.
