Awesome place to hangout for a weekend evening. Exciting rides. Windy walk. Cool breeze along Lakeshore walk. Good eateries. Finger Licking dishes. All in all, a great place.

Michelle Daily

Great place to visit. I'm a native to the city but I feel like a tourist when I go there! The place has great energy and amazing views everywhere! Great restaurants for adults and kids. There's something for everyone whose seeking a great experience! A MUST DO!

Tobi Kirchherr

Very nice and vibrant place. Good mix of food & stuff to do for the whole family and for every budget. Make sure you drop by when visiting Chicago!

Amanda Noeske

The purpose of my trip was to visit the WBEZ radio station. We had drinks and a meal at Offshore, the rooftop bar at Navy Pier. It was alright, I felt like I was eating an expressive meal in my living room but the experience was fun. Lots of little tourist shops so if you're in from out of town, and looking for souvenirs, this would be a good place to check out. Plan to spend at least $30 parking.

Serena Uible

Fun. Saw a great play ... Wandered around and did some "window" shopping. And spent some money at a couple of places. It was a fun afternoon. I used to have pretty dismal view of Navy Pier - I lived in Chicago long ago. My view has differently changed for the better. I'd be happy to go back again on next trip.

LaTrone Latham

A great place to take a stroll listening to your favorite music. Also the scenery from the lake and downtown skyline.

Paranormal Society

This such a great place to visit. There is much to see here and things to do. The ferris wheel is amazing and gives you some of the best views. The staff around here is also super friendly and very kind.this is the to go place if you are in Chicago visiting.

JC Renzetti

I was in Chicago and took my boys 2 and 4 to this exhibit. The dinosaurs that they have there are pretty cool. There is a lot to do for kids and should keep you busy for a few hours. It's a little pricey but only comes around once a year. Definitely take a look if your kids are interested in dinosaurs.

Jacob Brown

Plenty of shops and spots to grab food while also enjoying the beautiful view of the lake! Keep in mind though, everything has that "wonderful" Chicago price and then some. I'd recommend going more so for the novelty and pictures over souvies or food.

Myke Wing

Wow ... what a place... As a tourist or ada local, Navy Pier has something special to offer the senses year round - albeit super-hot and super-chill weather may cause you to rush some of your walking, viewing and experiences. The phenomenal history of some zones combined with modern-day experiences make for fun moments for the extended family year round. The markets, the events centres and the simple joy of walking or sitting and taking it all in...

Oleg Somov

That is a great place for entertainment. Glorious views on the Chicago, ferris wheel, cozy beer garden. You can also spot ducks and gulls that will come close to you looking for some food. You can visit this place any time, but I would recommend going there in evening, if you like some crowd and events. Morning and lunch time there's less people .

Melissa C

Cute place to grab a bite and enjoy Lake Michigan. Lots of different foods to choose from and there are nice bars inside, too.

Lauren Schmenk

really enjoyed the ambiance of Navy Pier. Was disappointed to find though on a Friday night everything was closed by 10. Saturday night was a little bit more lively. Would recommend the observation wheel for a great look at the city!

Pam B

Anytime you come to chicago you must go to navy pier. I suggest doing some boat tours too. Love my city

D. Lacey

My tour, the Architecture Sightseeing Tour, which included 3 or my closest friends was simply outstanding, and will be highly recommended to my counterparts. Liz was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic. Loved her energy and clarity. I will be doing the tour again to refresh my knowledge of the "second city".

Julie

Saturday night fireworks, beautiful view of the City. Doing some renovation right now. It will only make it even greater. I was there for the Chicago Firefighter Graduation. Proud mom

Lane Hatcher

In a word, Magical. I loved every minute of it. While I missed the ferris wheel due to my late arrival, I was just in time for Shoreline's 45 minute night cruise. The narrator/tour guide was amazing: very articulate and very knowledgeable. The hot dogs were unique and yummy.

Jeffrey Clay

Nave Pier is probably number one on the tour guides list. They offer just about everything that you would desire from Dinner Cruises, lunches, live entertainment a movie theater along with so many shops to very unique shops you can visit for souvenirs. They just recently added a very large roof top bar with live entertainment along with your standard music when no band is scheduled. Overall it's a fun place especially if you enjoy people watching!

Alex Espinoza

This place is so beautiful. Great for seeing Lake Michigan and also for taking pictures of Downtown Chicago. The place has so much to see and do. We went to the Shakespeare Theatre and that was amazing. If you never been you need to check it out. You can take a boat ride from here. So many restaurants to choose from. Garrett's popcorn which is the boom. I would for sure recommend this place the views are breathtakingly.

colleen condon

Navy Pier is absolutely wonderful. Tons of great places to eat, lots of activities and shopping. The tour of chicago is a great thing to do while you are there. They take you on a boat and show you the buildings and explain their history. I highly recommend stopping here.

David Williams

Parking is expensive; there was also a lot of construction when we went. The view was nice. Got some drinks and cinnamon roasted nuts. Walking distance to a fun fountain for the kids to play in (just in front of the pier), and the beach (lake Michigan is always cold though).

Cindy Spangler

This was a really nice place to walk around and visit. It does seem very touristy and I'm not sure if I would have gone out of my way to visit it knowing what I know now. I highly recommend going there at night because the lights are amazing from the pier.

Dusten Shoaf

Tourist trap? Yea, probably. It is a good time though. Harry's restaurant is delicious, the speed boat ride was great, and you can not beat the scenery. Fun shops on the inside and wonderful views on the outside. Very relaxing at night and the skyline is amazing lit up.

Keith Oliver

What's not to love about Navy Pier? Lots of pretty views from all over the pier, especially from the Centennial Ferris Wheel. Plenty of places to eat, drink, shop and enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan and Chicago.

Niv Pai

Great place for shopping, sightseeing, food and drinks. I’ve visited this place every time I visited Chicago and I love it. There are so many things to do here. They also have a huge Ferris wheel with gorgeous views of the city. Plethora or restaurants and bars to choose for dining both adult and kid friendly. This place is perfect for a family outing. They have River cruises from the pier and also a children’s museum in addition to all the other attractions. Definitely a landmark worth visiting. Highly recommend.

Randall Porter

Nice place to walk around. We went in mid-Oct and it was definitely off-season, but the Halloween/fall decorations were still up and those were cool. Not a lot of things open and most of the big spaces looked closed for the season minus a few of the restaurants. There’s a huge hotel construction project that’s happening which gets in the way a little bit. It was a still a nice long walk up and down the pier with good views of the water and city (even though it was foggy).

Marat Zagidullin

Definitely it is a tourist place, but now there is a huge construction here, so many places are closed and there is a noise, dust and so on connected. But still you have a beautiful view on Lake Michigan, river and lake tours, beer and other stuff, ferries wheel and so on for kids. I don't know if it is interesting here when it is cold but when it is sunny...well you should go here.

Michelle Gullett

Weekend brunch was fantastic! Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. The staff was friendly. If you miss Oak Tree at 900 Shops, dine at 20E. You will not be disappointed.

John Modzelewski

Really impressive shopping and entertainment complex. Dining here is mainly fast casual; go to streeterville if you want real sit-down dining. The giant Ferris wheel and kids museum were family favorites. Views are great, and it’s easy to walk here.

James Smith

Enjoyed our visit to the Navy Pier. It has definitely progressed over the years. Beware of construction on the farthest out point of the pier (a multi-story hotel). We found and enjoyed several shops, restaurants and other businesses within the pier.

Joseph Yamaguchi

Visited during the week in the evening. Not busy or exciting but improvements have been made since our visit about 8 yrs ago. Lots of tourist shops if you like to browse. Eating options are okay. Ferris wheel was cool... Good views of downtown city lights.

Viv Cruz

Awesome. Just beautiful and so clean. Flowers everywhere, the water park, restaurants shops. Music was playing, lots of security walking around. Breathtaking view. Awesome place to walk around. Easy access to bathrooms, clean and unlike most public bathrooms toilet paper, soap and paper towels. It's an awesome place to visit and bring the kids.

CJ C

We had so much fun watching fireworks on the Pier. I can see why everyone says, that you have to go to the Navy Pier while you're in Chicago. We went to watch the Saturday fireworks and the atmosphere is so cool on it. For a free firework show done every Wednesday and Saturday over the summer, it is well done. This is definitely a place to take kids, families, adults, people wanting to eat, people wanting to drink or hit the offshore club. There is so much to do on it.

Audric strongestkarate

Good touristy spot for first time travellers to Chicago. Lots of activities and tours suitable for all age groups. Somewhat kinda tourist trap but it’s fun. Food prices are a tad higher. Good spot for picture taking with the skyscraper background.

Natalia Cardenas

Beautiful tourist place right by Lake Michigan, we went on a speed boat tour it was so fun. They have nice places to eat at and fun for drinks and walking around. You can have lots of fun for free if you like to walk around and take pictures or just stare at the landscape for a while. Very clean and nature.

Michelle Daily

Great place to visit. I'm a native to the city but I feel like a tourist when I go there! The place has great energy and amazing views everywhere! Great restaurants for adults and kids. There's something for everyone whose seeking a great experience! A MUST DO!

Eliot Ward

This was a neat place to visit in Chicago. They had some fun stores inside and there was a lobster fest and concert going on outside with some cool vendors. Highly recommend visiting. We rode our bikes there which was great because we didn’t have to deal with parking.

John Byrne

Worth a visit (but maybe not a repeat visit unless you're doing the theatre or a restaurant). Have seen some closed restaurants lately; hoping that's not a bad sign. Needs more and better (and cheaper) parking to encourage more Chicago-area folks to visit and enjoy what's there...

Ondřej Moudrý

Nice walk close by Michigan lake. You have a beautiful view to city center skyscrapers. You can visit many shops, restaurants, beer gardens and funfair attractions. According to some statistics this is one of the top ten most visited places in the whole US.

Fatimah Murarsheed

I had a great time, there was a variety of restaurants to choose from and it was a pleasant vibe, people would smile and greet you. There were couples holding hands, groups of people boarding the ships laughing. You could feel the love all around. Good times.., will definitely go back

Caryn Russman

It was very windy when I was there but what else can u expect in Chicago? It seems like a fun place and the ferris wheel was nice but we tried to walk around the perimeter and it’s a bit creepy that on one side there’s a street and nothing else. Would return on a warmer day though.

A F

Very nice place to visit in Chicago. We went during the evening to see the fireworks show which was great...would highly recommend for the end to a date night, if you're visiting with kids, or if you just plain like fireworks. Also rode the ferris wheel they have there and got to see nice views of the city.

Kevin Hill

Lot to do and great view of the city. There are a ton of places to visit and a bunch of boat tours. Nice area, but definitely a tourist place

Raoul Gabiam

It's a nice place. But for me, it's more of a tourist attraction than anything. Lots of stores, fast food,... There is a ferris wheel. But not much else that warrants a visit.

Bridget Farley

We love going to the children's museum here! But there's a lot of other things to do and see there. A lot of different places to eat too! If you park there and are shopping or going to see a movie, see if you can get your ticket validated …

Amit Sandesara

Great place to watch fireworks!!! Although Chicago being a big city, there is always a huge crowd coming to visit the navy pier. The commute/walk around Navy Pier during weekends and holidays can be a bit too much, specifically in summer. But it is a good place to have some fun and watch the beautiful Michigan lake. Its always refreshing and a place to must visit for travellers in the city.

Wade Fields

Never had been to Navy pier and it did not disappoint. Beautiful scenery and a fantastic lake cruise. Excellent evening!

Erin Shank

Tourist trap with nothing but kitschy trinkets. Not worth the walk across the city to get there in the rain. Might be a better experience in the summer when it's warmer. Your kids will want to buy all the junk they see. Reminds me of a mall food court.

Allyson K.

Absolutely GORGEOUS! So many places to see, tremendously family friendly location. Shopping, food, beer, bars, sightseeing, boat excursions to tour Chicago Architecture or just go party with the people for a sunset cruise. Fun for all ages. Gigantic walking and biking path that goes for miles and miles. Imagine a boardwalk scenario without the boardwalk, it’s all concrete paved. All walks of life welcome.

Diana Garcia

I took a bike ride to Navy pier. I enjoyed the experience a lot more seeing that I was not worried about the cost of parking. I was able to pull up and park my bicycle in the bicycle parking area. I will see Navy Pier is truly beautiful and is most definitely one of the very few welcoming places in Chicago for tourist .

Mitzola XOXO

Celebrated to 2 monumental Borndays! Sailed on the Odyssey had a wonderful evening However, not enough emphasis on the Birthday people. People celebrating anniversaries got more attention and the music was more for them. The D.J kept sitting them out but no birthday people- not a cupcake a birthday song

Lina P

It’s nice place. I use to go to Navy Pier when I go in downtown. You’ll find here a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Don’t hesitate to go here if you’re in Chicago.

Jessica Garcia

It is a really neat place to visit. There's alot to do to keep busy and entertained. There's also lots of yummy food to chose from. Be prepared to fork out some cash though , nothing there is cheap. The one thing I found to be fair priced .. shockingly was the family photos. We got a 4 pack with four different backgrounds for $20.00. Put your walking shoes on and make sure your wallet is fluffy when you go.

Faiza Kalam

A must to visit in Chicago. It may take a whole day to go around. The new remodeling made the atmosphere more cozy. The activities are unlimited from meditation to the boats tour. New cafes are opening, and the view is amazing.

Dr. Fatma Alhatimi

A tourist place but not worth visiting again. A tad boring, one of those places you only see once as a tourist but If I lived in Chicago.. it would be a nice place for a walk by the river front. It is clean and organised. However the construction work means that walking for ages from the Cloud Gate - just be prepared to walk. However it was a nice visit. Also, the Ferris Wheel although enjoyable, I would do the leaning building or the building that allows you to look directly down. The photo shows the view from the top

Jocelyn Ross

So much to see. The boats are great. The pier is a wonderful spot for a small wedding. This is extreme summer fun! Great walking!

Lisa Devenport

Fun way to spend the day with my husband! Beautiful views of Lake Michigan and flowers in the common walking area were amazing!!! We ate at the Mexican restaurant upstairs and the views were great! Would recommend for a fun date day! Very clean and maintained!

Eliot Ward

Had a wonderful time performing at this AWESOME place... gorgeous view...just rocks. I'm definitely coming here again when I'm not working!

Konamaneti Sreenivasa Reddy.

One of the major ataractic point in there lovely Chicago. Smoke food choice, outdoor seating, fun, food, games, movies, kids entertainment everything at one place. Just sit on the lake front, watch the boats, see the people from every corner of the nation and world. Very lively by evening with skyline offering great view of well lit skyscrapers...

rizasan flower

My children enjoy here everytime. Walk in the beach. Chicago children museum. The garden on the second floor. Lots of beautiful life to enjoy for everyone what ever age or race.

Meghana Raja

Very beautiful and fun area to visit. Between the children's museum, ferris wheel, Merry go round, restaurants, beer garden, and other attractions, you could easily spend half a day here! It's very easy to access and beautiful to visit. Lake Michigan is stunning and you get amazing views from here

Nee Y

We all loved it. So much things to do and look at. So beautiful at night. They have a museum, theatre, lots of food vendors, Ferris wheel, boat tours, bike rental, bike taxis, swing carousel, beautiful scenery, sprinkle fountain, and so much more! Can't wait to come back to get to do everything! Our bike taxi guy was named Marco! Totally recommend him too! He was so nice! We doubted he could bike the four of us, but were we wrong. He was able to lol. Great fun experience! $15/person for a mile bike ride.

hania tabassum

Simply beautiful. Had an amazing time there. Eating and enjoying boat rides. They should install more chairs or benches for people to sit and enjoy the serenity of water.

Michael Blasius

This is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. For shopping, there are several interesting little vendors. There are many places to eat, including a Garrett's Popcorn. They are building a new hotel in the property and that should be exciting to see when it opens. Several places to get drinks. All year there are events going on. I was just there in the last week of September and it seems that the pier is along a migration path for Monarch butterflies. There were hundreds of them fluttering by during the time I was there.

Abhinav Singh

Beautiful location! Chicago Skyline is best viewed from a cruise here. We went on a dinner cruise while in Chicago & it was a soothing experience. Loved the food & vibe. This place looks even more beautiful at night.

katlyn harris

Really beautiful. We rode the Ferris wheel and can you say VIEWS?! Just so amazing. Such great views of the Chicago skyline. The restaurants and shops in particular have slow service. Worst service in margaritaville.

Mike P

Amazing roof top bar. They are open late and place is massive. Great for party's or get togethers. 2 bars and they also serve food late at night. Definitely cant wait to go back!! They are also building a hotel along Navy Pier.

Naseer AbdulNour

Great place to visit with the family and even if you're alone looking to spend few hours. Lots of places to eat, shop and walk. The view from the top of the Ferris wheel is amazing. The views of Lake Michigan are worth alot

Lisa Smith

A definite must see when going to Chicago. Lots to do and many places to choose from food wise. Newly remodeled with fun little shops to browse through. Beautiful botanical gardens that are free to access, however are sometimes closed due to private events. Outside is splash pad on hot Chicago days and a beautiful Ferris Wheel. Many boats/ships to view or go for a cruise on. Whether you are inside or outside, great place to see and enjoy a little bit of Chicago.

Love it!! Just don't gone during 4th of July. Gets extremely claustrophobic crowded and really hot. Can't go anywhere once the crowd shows up. Needless to say people get crazy just like July 2019. Never again for a big event will I go there. Other than that on ANY other day great place to go with the family.

Samuel Waggoner

The Pier is very touristy and not something we were interested in seeing however the fireworks on Wednesday and Saturday evenings in the summer were spectacular! What a beautiful 12 minute presentation the City put on. Walk further out on the Pier for the best view. A wonderful welcome on our first might in the Windy City. Well done! Beautiful views and variety of restaurants but nothing you can't see or do from other vantage points in the city.

Swati Nemade

Wonderful and beautiful place to spend an evening with your loved ones or your friends. This place is always crowded in the summer evenings, so try to be here on time if you want to take rides because the ticket lines are huge. The Chicago skyline is just amazing from the top of the Ferris wheel. The cafeteria and restrooms are just on the first floor under the rides. They have boat rides at Navi Pier starting from $10 and dinner/cocktail cruises as well.

Stephen Dally

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Navy Pier one time! It is truly amazing! So many shops and restaurants. So many people. The tour on Lake Michigan was quite fun! I WILL GO BACK!

Michael Barton

Very touristy area. We enjoyed the giant wheel, the 4D experience and the riverboat architecture tour. Lots of food and things to do here. Not a bad way to pass an afternoon. Very busy on the weekends.

Lili Lara

Loved this place! It is such a laid-back atmosphere, there is a bunch of different bars and restaurants, a beer garden, an observation deck with a nice view of the city and the lake. Some restaurants have outside bars where you can buy a drink and walk on the pier. Inside the pier are stands and stores selling crafts and some souvenirs.

Matthew McDonnell

Love the vibe there. It’s never boring, no matter how many times you go. The new ferris wheel is air conditioned and is fun to go on. I like the sea dog a lot too (especially the extreme). They’re always looking to expand to make the visit unique. No matter what you’re into, you’ll find something that puts a smile on your face.

Tim Rabon

The Navy Pier offers so many food and entertainment options. There are things to do for people of all ages. I enjoyed a meal at Giordano's and a stroll on the pier. This is also the place where many river dinner and sightseeing cruises launch from. Make a solo trip or take the family for a fun afternoon of making memories!

Dimitris Protsios

A place made for the Chicago visitors. There is something for everyone. Attractions, food courts, arts, drinks scenic views and shops. Very well organized and clean. Expect lots of tourists during the busy seasons and plan your visit. There is parking available for a fee.

Arianne Pady

This place is awesome. At night the Ferris wheel lights up and it's so beautiful. There are multiple souvenir shops where you can get things that'll always remind you of the good time you had there. The view on the water is purely magical! It will make you forget about your soar feet.

stan stoyanov

It's a nice place to go see if you're visiting Chicago,it is one of the most popular tourist attractions, BUT my only reason to give 4 stars only is that this place is always over crowded (especially summer time), and getting in and out of there is a struggle. Don't get me wrong I don't wanna discourage you to visit it , the place has amazing views and you can make great pics from the top of the huge Centennial Wheel, but if you're with kids you have to find parking nearby.

Max Fiordalisi

Fun place. Very busy, which I'm sure everyone knows.... Parking looks hectic, we stayed in the city so just walked. Line was VERY long at the ferris wheel, but seemed to be moving fast. This was on a Saturday around 3pm. Very breezy (October) and sort of chilly. Make sure you dress accordingly. Food inside was okay. I got a Chicken sandwich from Big City Chicken, it was pretty okay. Not as good as Canes or Chick-Fil-A but not bad. Probably one of the better things to eat there. You can also go on boat rides here. We came from the Natural History Museum (river taxi), well worth the $10 bones, beats walking! If you're in Chicago, you should go to the Pier at least once.

Miguel Diaz

I absolutely loved this place because, there was just so much to do and the place was super clean with lots of family fun. The food was great too such a diversity of food made it easy to find our pick. The long walk was amazing such a …

R3D-1 Truth

I do not like the city...somehow they are always finding ways to get extra money out of my pocket. The people are great! This place is amazing and there should be more like it. Great for the kids too.

Pheng Lo

A tourist place that is worth visiting. The skyline views of the city are great. There are plenty of food options and your standard boat tour and helicopter tours. Select a sunny day to visit for the best views.

Nandini Wahi

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Great place for a nice walk or to ride your bike. Lots of food and drink options as well. Great views for pics

Najma Ahmed Abdullahi

I had an amazing time on Navy Pier. There is a lot of things to do there, as taking a ride on boat that shows around lake Michigan or getting aboard the Centennial Wheel, which gives a perfect view of the city but it's not a good choice of you are riding it for fun because it won't spin fast. There is also a beautiful garden with fabulous water formation. It's worth the visit so welcome to Chicago. Hope you all have a nice visit.

HaiDera Hollins

Lots of stuff to do so you can't go wrong. Plenty of places to eat and drink, very picturesque especially at night. I went during the day and it was crowded! Taxis lined up outside but remember to get the yellow checker cab!

Stephanie V

Work in progress. It was a cool place to walk around, but on a Monday in September it was fairly dead. Unfortunately many bars/ restaurants weren't open. When we were able to find a stand that sold drinks, we were happy to learn you can walk around the facility with alcohol. Note the place has a very touristy vibe, but you get great views from the city at the end of the pier. Location was fairly easy to get to on bus. With lots of construction going on, I will be more inclined to return in a few years after renovations are completed.

Time well spent with my family from out of town. They love it there! Shops are so special! The food in the restaurants are fantastic! Beautiful view of Lake Michigan all around! Always ride the fairest wheel... it will give you a different perspective of Chicago.

Iwonka K.

A car-full of us made the trek to Chicago from Indianapolis. We had an amazing time. While parking was spendy in the garage ($23 for a little over an hour) it was right on site and made for a convenient transition to enjoy the location. The pier is dotted with shops and restaurants and the beautiful skyline of the city across the water made it a fantastic experience for this first time Chicago visitor. At the end of the pier we witnessed pirate boats and a blasting cannon. The day was incredibly beautiful and the scenery not to be forgotten. Not too too many visitors on the Saturday we visited. A definite recommendation to get a taste of the city and of the fresh air.

laura bastidas espitia

Really nice place to walk and buy some souvenirs, it feels like a fancy flee market inside. On the outside it has the famous centennial wheel, that gives you a great view of the Michigan lake and the skyline of the downtown area.

Rebecca Leyba

My husband took me out on my birthday on a Spirit Cruise. This one was a bit different than other ones we've been on: it had a buffet, and no fireworks towards the end. He told them it was my birthday and they didn't do anything special unlike other Chicago cruises we've been on. Other than that, everything was great!

robert raleigh

This is a four star going to a five star place. Rightnow it's a fun place with affordable food and nice views. In the future New hotels and restaurants are coming (2020) and I hope it keeps some average priced venues for all to enjoy, not exclusively high end places. We ate here and enjoyed the airshow. Very very nice experience. Clean and safe and friendly.

Hugh J Larkin

The Navy Pier is a place you must visit in the summertime. It is very fun to walk to the end of the pier and back. Don't try it unless you are ready to walk a bit. There are so many people and things to do. Restaurants, treats, along with Chicago River and Lake Michigan tours are all here. There is a walk up bar where they sell adult beverages in plastic glasses. Adult visitors are allowed to stroll the pier with your drinks. There's also a huge Children's Museum right next to the Navy Pier entrance. A "must see" on your next visit to Chicago!

SXS Rider

We had family visiting from out of state and decided to go to Navy Pier to show them around. We all had a great time and you could easily spend a day exploring the area and the pier. We decided to go on one of the extreme boat rides which was very fun, we got to do some sight seeing and some 180’s and almost 360’s on the boat, be prepared to get wet also. The water is beautiful very blue and definitely not what I expected. Plenty of entertainment, good food and drink, and things to buy. I can’t wait to go back.

Srinivasan G

Nice place to hang out with kids. There are lot of rides for kids and adults.Must go in the evening so that people can enjoy Giant wheel ride in the night and watch the beauty of the Chicago downtown. Parking is also available

Chrissy Rush

So fun. Good food too. Restaurants range from fast food to fine dining. Many rides to check out. Many different boat tours and dinner cruises to do too. There's a funhouse maze and Children's Museum. You can watch fireworks in certain nights. Great place to walk around and take in Art and the sites all around.

Maggie Cortada

Super nice place and there is a lot going on. The fire works on Saturday was really nice. All the boat tours are there. They have a huge food courtyard with all sorts of delicious foods & gift shops. The IMAX theater and a beautiful indoor garden. Very nice views of the buildings and the lake. It is a very busy boardwalk.

Reema Gandhi

It was a wonderful idea to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Navy Pier, Chicago! Since it was a weekday, I could clearly see the difference— no long lines, not at all huddled. The weather stood favorable, a Lil too windy at the pier and that's about it. Breathtaking views of Lake Michigan totally sparkled our day. There's so much to experience at the Navy Pier itself. Keep in mind that entry to the Navy Pier is free along with certain public events, however, rides, Ferris wheel including sightseeing cruises is what you need to pay for! Navy pier also offers tours by air land and water. PS- Free wheelchairs are available at the FCFS basis. On-site Parking- West Garage and East Garage!

Jay Cho

We walked along the lake shore drive down to the pier. The pier will be beautiful in the summer. Lovely walk, I wish there is something like this in the city I live in.

Dianne Houston-Crockett

This is a tourist trap. However it's a great place to catch a quick bite. There is a variety of great places to eat and a nice place to entertain the kids.

Sandy Baxley

Gorgeous venue. Was there for a business meeting and our last night's reception was held here. The food is nothing to speak of, but the venue itself is beautiful. So nice to be able to go out on the pier and watch the amazing fireworks! I ❤ Chicago

Ronnie Hopkins

Awesome place, a must visit when in Chicago! We go every time we visit. Plenty to do, lots to eat, something for everyone.

MOUNTAIN TOP CAPITOL

Cool place to go...big wheel ride was awesome and the boat rides are fun, lots of shops and food selections...it’s a fun way to spend an entire day at. We got the Chicago go pass for this attraction as well as the family owned attraction tall ship windy their host Sarah was a Great host to both adults and children. And the mystic blue lunch/dinner cruise was also worth the money ( no Chicago go pass for this attraction) and their water taxis is a great way to get to navy pier.

David Chenel

What a fantastic place. The ferris wheels gives you panoramic pictures of the Chicago skyline and unprecedented views of Lake Michigan. A must do if you visit Chicago. Loved the city it's very clean!

Rayna Blanchard

Navy Pier is beautiful and spectacular! The shops are great and so are the attractions!! The Ferris wheel was my favorite because you see so much beautiful scenery from the top! I recommend going to Navy Pier!!

Jaime Keck

Great place to do a lot! The Navy Pier is always growing and always something new coming in, from shops, dining options to activities. Great place to take the family and enjoy a day in Chicago. Plenty of activities to do for all age groups and wonderful city views and lake views, never disappoints.

Alexander Baker

Great to see a piece of Naval and American history. It was a windy day so being on the water was a little more chilly than expected however, it was awesome getting to see where huge advances in Naval aviation took place!

Kevin Hines

Beautiful views of the city and so much to do. There is a great area inside with so many different food options and shopping/gift shops. There are boat tours along with the ferris wheel and a number of other things to do. Plenty of parking but also an easy walk if you park somewhere else.

Willie Riley

Great venue for crowd gathering, some entertainment, dining and souvenir shopping. Location for day dining/lake cruising, and riding the great ferris wheel. Beautiful scenery, some alcohol is available, and very good place to see the annual air and water show. The Jets really gets the adrenaline going. Very safe, lots of security and lots of protected parking. Something young and old. Chicago event office are proud because Navy Pier is first class!

Robin Mutka

There is always something going on at Navy Pier. It is always very clean and has wonderful views of the lake. Bring a light jacket because it's a lot more windy and cooler when walking around by the lake. **Tip- download a parking app on your phone to find affordable parking Downtown. We parked 4 or 5 blocks away and walked the rest of the way to Navy Pier which wasnt bad at all since there are a lot of sites to be seen and culture to experience in that area .... but parking just a few blocks away with the help of a affordable parking app on my phone saved us BIG on money !

Georgeina Driver

Fantastic place to hang out in Chicago Navy Piers the place, Great food and fun! I usually take a boat ride, get the ferris wheel, and then enjoy some great food and just general sightseeing. The Children's Museum Is pretty cool as well, was so I forgot the crystal Gardens it's beautiful.

Tobie Smith

The Navy Pier has a little bit of everything. Peacefulness in the mornings, bars for later in the day, rides for kids and adults alike. It's a gorgeous view of the lake and the city.

Fatma Pir-Cakmak

It is really great place to walk and enjoy the view. The line for ferris wheel was very long. Very lucky to visit during a sunny day.

Wofo Woof

An absolute beautiful pier with an amazing view of the lake and city. Bustling with activity and lots of things to see and do. My favorite part was walking to the end of the pier where it was quiet and had the constant wind flowing around me. It was very calming from the hustle and bustle. I give it 5 woofs

Zenaido Vallejo

If you're visiting the city this is a good place to check out with the family. Full of things to do and eat. If you live in the city it's still a great place to past the time in the summer.

Tonya Floyd

Oh my such a nice ambience and view. The entertainment along with drinks and wings were right on time. The management staff combine with their team was all so hospitable and personable so for my first time being there, I was very pleased.

Natasha Jackson

A MUST SEE in Chicago. Make sure you venture to the botanical garden. Its free to get in and walk around, that said, make sure to bring a comfortable pair of shoes! Safe and clean. There is many cute little shops inside and lots of different kinds of food. My husband and I really enjoyed sitting on the benches at the end of the pier and just enjoying the view. There was a lot of people but the place never really felt crowded.

Ryan Wilsey

Great Experience! If you find yourself near the navy pier it is worth taking the extra time to do one of the architectural river cruises you won't believe how much of the city can be seen that way.

Ryan Steeves

The funhouse was a lot of fun. It made me jump more than once and it actually required effort and thought to get through it. Cool experience unlike any others I've had before.

Olivia Collins

A great place to visit and walk around. This is worth to visit,I enjoyed their foods and rides. You could feel the positive energy around you.

Sarah Khan

This is a very nice place to visit in Chicago. You can catch numerous water tours for the Chicago River and hop on the big bus. We loved the Architecture boat tour and the Big Bus Chicago Tour. It also has a fun splash pad for the kids and beautiful gardens indoors. The parking is expensive though..about $50 for the full day.

Mark Sherman

I love visiting navy pier. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Great place to pick up a tour of the lake

Balaji Yogesh

A great place to spend time with family and friends during the summer. There are lots of attractions in and around the pier with lots of activities to do. The Ferris-wheel is a must try attraction and gives a great view of the Chicago downtown especially during sunset. The childrens museum is a great place to visit as well.

Kianu popokaula

Wow, I really enjoyed taking pics from my camera when I was riding a big wheel thing, it incredible view especially on not cloudy days. Bring your camera here is really nice spot, and don't forget about water;)

Bj lillard

Love, love, LOVED Chicago! Much more than I had expected! The city has everything you can imagine from beaches, fishing and skyscrapers to wonderful views all over the city

Tom Anderson

Great casual area and atmosphere where you feel safe and comfortable. Views are amazing at sunup or sunset. People watching can be entertaining as well. Shopping, dining, quick bites and drinks are abundant and frequent. This is the kickoff point for many water tours, sunset cruises, shore excursions, and skyline cruises. Beware, a lot of construction is ongoing here including a hotel facility being built.

Melissa Centazzo

Always a fun time in the city to begin your touring at Navy Pier. However the parking is quite overpriced and the parking garage has very low clearance. But it's always a good time in the sense of lots of restaurants lots of stores lots of things to see. The boat rides are exquisite they have a boat ride for everyone.

Tucker Ashley

The Navy Pier is great! Many activities, restaurants, food court, shopping and the view!! Breathtaking views of the city

Vikram Gupta

Very happing place ,you can spend hours here in any time , Local crowd also gather here in evening as well as tourist. Day time you can enjoy on the speed boat .Can take a water taxi to shred Museum.Big wheel is there. Both Out side and inside sitting restaurant are also a big attraction .

Anthony Powiliatis

Favorite place top visit downtown. Fun things to do, cool activities to enjoy and great places to eat. Plus you can get margaritas to go!

Cheryl Ridenour

Another great destination for families. The Ferris Wheel, a carousel, swing ride, and rock climbing for kids. Also a Children’s Museum, though we did not go. Plenty of places to eat, ice cream, walking around the pier looking at the boats. Plenty of fun for adults too- several pier side bars, frozen drinks to go and Chicago’s largest rooftop! Fun for everyone!

Todd Snyder

It was a really neat place. It has all kinds of different shops and lots of cool scenery! I recommend this to anyone visiting downtown Chicago!

Sarah Witiarz

Absolutely love this place! The ferris wheel actually stops now so you can take pictures of the skyline from a different angle. It's also closed in so you can ride during all seasons and be comfortable. All the ships you can go on, the inside is beautiful with the garden!

This was a great experience. So much to do. We took a river tour and it was perfect weather. Come early and skip the crowds. I'm sensitive to motion so afterward I was kinda messed up but during wasn't too bad. Would definitely suggest going.

Abdullah AlBiladi

A nice collection of restaurants and gift shops. The place was clean and well maintained. Great for family after a long walk from either Chicago downtown or waterfront trail. If coming from the waterfront trail, you will need to use the overpass to get here. So you will be walking close to the cars which is not comfortable for some especially with kids but it is normal.

Bernie DUS

Totally disappointed. There is a Ferris wheel. WOW! But that's it mostly. Construction going on everywhere. Terrible. They are building a Hotel on top of the pier (!). Just go to the end of the pier and enjoy the breeze. Go back the same way, the other side is ridiculous to walk. You can catch some nice views of the skyline of Chicago...

Christy Condado

Most beautiful place I've been to I got on that red speed boat and it was the most fun i have ever had in ages. My family and I got soaked and wet but none of us regret the ride. Defintly going back soon!

Kai toyhart@hotmail.com

Navy Pier has always been my favorite place to visit when I come home to Chicago. they're putting in so many new things and they're also building a hotel there. It was a beautiful day yesterday after two days of rain and I was able to watch the jet skiersand the sailboats go by. Also have new shops inside and the old standards. I was able to get my Garrett's popcorn to take back to Arizona!

Lakshmanan. JPS

Awesome place to visit. You can see and do so much here. I thought it cost something to get in at first but then I realized its free. Spend the day snacking at different cool restaurants or come back a few times to try them all. The lake is great and there is plenty of activities to keep you busy. It's a gorgeous place.

ABDALLAH OMAR

Navy Pier is always something else.. The view is phenomenal Always busy with friendly people from different nationalities.. Will always love to visit again and again

Andrea Bird

Great place to visit while in downtown Chicago. Variety of local chain restaurants to choose from. Lots of activities to do with children and great view of Lake Michigan.

Kannivelu Badrinath

Nice place to wander around particularly if the weather is good. There are lots of small informal eateries inside that are not too bad

Matt Thomson

Was last here in the late 90's. They have really done a good job of renovating and updating. Had a great time.

Paul Pachwicewicz

Great slice of heaven! Came here after a long day of renovating an apartment and went to a job interview nearby. Easy to get to if you're in the city, with all kinds of fun activities to try and delicious eats to devour. Finished my visit to the beer garden at the end of the pier and wasted time watching the tide role away. Must visit for visitors and tourists, and a great spot to relax for inner city locals.

Pragya Mishra

It is scenic for sure. But there is nothing much that you do, apart from clicking pictures with the beautiful background. The ferris wheel is slow, so there isn't any thrill to it. The food court is alright, but not many food options. The cruise ride is nice, and gives you a good view of downtown, but again, it's the view that impresses. Not many options for activities.

Kurt K

Really nice to just walk around with your significant other. Ton of good food places and little stores to shop around. Places to get drinks too. Last time I was there a band was playing towards the end of the pier. Worth a visit for a relaxing fun thing to do

R.V. M.

Such a fun place to go walking around on a Wednesday with my elderly parents for a belated Father's Day celebration requested by my Dad...not overly too crowded like it would be on a wkend. I highly recommend taking the Free Trolley bus …

Mina Thai

Navy Pier is one of the historical places to bookmark if you're visiting Chicago. It's the pinnacle of all things family friendly, as well as adult friendly, offering a wide variety of activities for all ages. While you're spending the day at Navy Pier, be sure to stay later for their summer fireworks. They light up the sky every night at 10:15 PM, and trust me, it's one of the most spectacular firework show you'll witness! The reason I docked one star from this review is the cost. We came during Lobster Fest and it's ridiculously overpriced for "colossal shrimp", not lobster tail. As for the lobster meal, it's okay. $49 for a lobster with sides. Nothing impressive.
