REVIEWS OF Millennium Park IN Illinois

It's a nice place and a typical check on the Chicago visitor's bucket list, but to be honest it's really not that cool. It's a big mirror bean surrounded by lots of people taking pictures to post on their instagram stories. The best part from my short visit was the live entertainment, notably what looked to be a local school jazz band and an orchestra in the amphitheater. If there's something going on, I can see how it would be fun. But if you're just going to see the Bean, you really don't need to spend more than 5 minutes here.

Great place. Cloud gate is awesome. Nice outdoor bar. Good beers, food and sports. Perfect city spot to wind out.

Amie Travels

Millennium Park is a must see Chicago attraction even for Chicagoans. Various attractions range from the Bean, gardens, public concert stage, and seasonal ice scaring depending on the time of year. During the summer, free musical concerts are featured every weekend. Jazz, Blues, & even House music events are free to the public and available for all ages. The venue is great for friends and family with a huge picnic space by the main concert stage. Feel free to pack plastic-based wine and food in disposable containers, because glass is not allowed. Pick your favorites snacks to enjoy with the selected concert of the week. So many great memories at Millennium Park, can’t wait for more! Like my photos and reviews? There are so many different sites to be seen here! Lots of architecture, beautiful walkways and great views. We used the Spothero app to find $8 parking for the day. I would definitely recommend this stop in Chicago.

Jessica Diep

A must-visit for those going to Chicago. It's a very spacious and well maintained park, and also where the famous Bean is housed. It is very busy and touristy, which can make it difficult to navigate around. Lots of coffee shops and food places around the park so easy to get to if you need a quick break.

Myke Wing

Wow! To know of the park and what to expect to see is not the same as being there.

Nimrod Lavi

It's a really nice small park with small beautiful trees an scenery. The "bean" itself is kind of majestic and weird at the same time. Would reccomend as a one time visit just to see what all the fuss is about.

Rupesh Ramachandran

Awesome place to visit anytime. The bean, the well maintained garden, the view of buildings around it. It's just fun. Summers in Chicago are the best and this place is a must see.

Lori Argil

On vacation from San Antonio, this is a beautiful place to walk, so much to see. Many sculptures to look at and a nice place just to sit and see all your surroundings.

Isaac Horman

Nice park. There is plenty of open area and shade. There are flower gardens and a nice stream along the boardwalk that you can get your feet wet in. There is a great fountain area with huge glass block towers that have faces projected on them. People have big exercise classes on the huge lawn. The giant reflective "bean" is way cooler to see in person than in pictures even though the pictures look awesome.

Cintia Leone

The park is so much fun, safe and lots of people from all over the world. There is a fountain with shallow running water that is a refreshing place for kids (and adults) to play during a hot summer day. Also same place where the public sculpture "The Bean" is located. A must see when visiting Chicago.

Justin Nguyen

The giant silver bean. The place most people go to see when visiting Chicago. Take the blue line straight down to Washington. Get off and head straight to millennium park. It’s in top of a platform and you can see it from a distance. You can’t miss it.... well I guess you could, but use your eyes a bit and ask around!

Leah Drapkin

Beautifully kept up park. Pretty busy, but what do you expect! The gardens around the bean are quite lovely. Lots of flowers and butterflies to enjoy!

Carole Luchtefeld

People watching is part of the experience of being here! Always such an incredible mix of so many different people! The 'bean' can look different from one day to the next, based on the weather and number of visitors reflecting. Always an interesting experience!

Dale Lipschultz

We were at a concert on the stage of the Harris Theater. The view south through Millennium Park is amazing. Chicago is beautiful from any angle.

Madeleine Garcia

Missing this place alot lately. Just moved back to the bay, but this park was my backyard for about 2 years. Nothing but great things around here, if you get there early enough, you must try wild berry, right across the street. Delicious!

Travis Brimlow

Millennium Park is awesome! You have to stop for pictures here! The views are amazing once you get in the park! There was a jazz festival when we visited too and that was a good experience! Would recommend going here it you are in the area!

Great place for kids. Close to art institute of Chicago. The city Cafe is an affordable and nice casual place to eat with great food and attentive service. The bean was kinda neat for me kids to see after we fought through the crowds right by it. But on a nice day it's great to walk around, see Buckingham fountain, and Maggie Daley park is always a must -do for the kids.

Nice little green space in the middle of the city. Very unexpected but beautiful to walk through. Very clean, lots of different things going on, and great views of the city.

Brian Hazeltine

This is a lovely park with an absolutely fantastic amphitheater. It is right along the Michigan coast line, and just a great place to go for a walk. (Be warned, however, you cannot ride bikes in the park!)

Anita Thomason

There is so much to see! The grounds are well maintained. Bathrooms are less than desired, but better than porta potties. Numerous places to eat, or to just sit and relax with a drink are within walking distance.

Tim Nolen

This is an extremely cool park, but not as big as I expected it to be. It's quite amazing how quickly the area gets busy. Eventually, I assume the flow are people coming in with slow down. For the most part to Park was very clean and well kept. Being from out of the area, trying to get in and out of the parking garage is a total pain in the butt. Portions of the garage smelled horrible and we're hot beyond belief. The maps for the area were not all that helpful. Eventually, though you will figure it out, and be able to find your way around. There is plenty to see and do around the area. Not once did I feel unsafe in the area.

I'm a Texan who visits Chicago once per Summer in July for the Pokemon Go Fest in Grant park but that said one of the most interesting parks is Millennium Park. It has an outdoor music /acting theater that is very active & is also home to the giant silver bean monument that ppl come from all over to see. It's free and is very disability wheelchair Walker friendly. On direct businesses & 1 or 2 blocks from the subways. Lots of restraints & cool shoppers to visit. Downtown.

Randall Porter

It was my wife’s first time in Chicago so we decided to walk through the whole park. It was a nice long stroll, but a lot of the park seemed in great need of renovation and refresh. Buckingham fountain was turned off at this point (mid-Oct) and looked pretty gross and in dire need of cleaning - it was very green. The newer parts of the park near Cloud Gate (the Bean) are nicer and more modern/well-kept and it was nice to walk through. The Bean is super-crowded as expected so don’t expect unobstructed pictures at any point you’re there.

Christine Doan

Beautiful city park with an immaculate garden adorned by trees & wild flowers. Perfect place to take a stroll or retreat to for lunch. It's very clean & family friendly. We came here to check out the Bean, but was impressed by how inviting the park is.

Courtney Scalise

Beautiful park surrounded by the gorgeous city of Chicago! We visited after dark. The city lights reflected in the bean - so cool! Be careful after dark, it is the city after all. You will get approached by folks. It's even prettier in the daylight anyway.

Sergio Cilla

I always enjoy visiting Millennium Park whenever I can! Especially on a sunny day! Ideal for walks and great pics of Chicago skyline. The Bean is also a great attraction!

Paul Raue

Beautiful park!!!! I drove some of the piles and played a small role in building this park, so I may be a little biased! It's a very popular tourist attraction so I'm gonna brag a little bit! This park is pretty cool though. Alot of cool stuff to check out.

Lupe Rosales

All I can say is that if you have always wanted to come see the bean.. you will be amazed when you see it! Just standing in front of it realizing you are seeing it with your own eyes will bring a huge smile to your face!

Jerry Smith

Beautiful in day even more so at night, must see if your visiting or even if you live here and haven't seen it yet enjoy. One of my favorite times to see it is at a high point at Sunrise and Sunset.

Tina Xinastle

We enjoyed the two waterfall towers. It was a hot summer day. It was refreshing to cool off in the mist. Some people wore swim wear and got really wet. The children had a blast!

Beth Zimmerman

The Bean is so cool! The fountain nearby was fascinating fun for all of us to go get our feet wet, literally. Food options nearby were extensive and delicious, and we didn't even have time to go to the amazing playground they've got nearby... Definitely going back soon! Just remember - parking THERE will cost you $28, up to 3 hours. Worth it - call it entrance fee - but the park is not "free."

CJ C

This was an absolute treat to go to. I love the living art throughout the park and obviously the bean. Live music create a great atmosphere. Watching the living art change faces and everyone having fun with it was an enjoyable experience.

cheree angus

VERY COOL park. The water fountains were truly impressive. What a nice place for Chicagoans and tourists. I was also pleasantly surprised that the city was very clean!!! Great job Chicago!!!!

Eamon O'Hara

Very pleasant place to stroll. The elderly fair was excellent. The staff at entry and stalls were very helpful. Garden, views and aspect were in great condition. People were

Millennium Park in Chicago is an amazing place. It is spreadover on 24.5-acre vast green space. Some of the attractions of the park are, the reflective "Bean" sculpture, the fountain & outdoor theater. The video display is great and the food is delicious. Great experience!!.

gloryb7

I walked through different parts of the park several times in 24hour period during my vacation. It's great because I discovered something new each time. Morning was the best if you don't like crowds.

SHANNON EARLE

The "bean" or Cloud Gate was much larger than we anticipated. It was so much fun to help other tourists take photos and people watch. The crown fountain was great as it was 92 degree's on 09.10.2019. Many kids were playing in the water. It was great to learn the face photos/video's displayed were of Chicago residents. It's a lovely park to spend at least a few hours in. The gardens are well manicured and it is very clean. I would highly recommend it for anyone new to the area or visiting!

asha agrawal

Very beautiful place in Chicago. The bean is something unique. You can see yourself very clear on the surface of the bean. The whole area is very neat and clean. Many food options are available nearby. Landscaping is very pretty. There is very beautiful waterfall where children and adults can go inside the water area to have fun. One can spend all day there walking around.

Taylor Neff

Everyone loves the bean! It's really quite lovely. Easy to underestimate if you're just looking at photos. If you visit it, please make sure you go underneath it and look up. You won't be disappointed.

As a tourist! Michigan Ave is where it's at. Millennium Park is an amazing place. Vast area to explore and filled with diversity. I've met so many people while here in this beautiful city. Beautiful park. Right off the main Blvd in downtown Chicago. Vendors. The Bean. The cool water features & splash pads, next to the Museum. Loved it. Very expensive parking

Kevin Jameson

A must see in the city of Chicago. Check out the pavilion for a concert in the summer or go take some awesome pictures with the Bean. They do ice skating in the winter too which can be great for a romantic date!

Ryan Scrivener

The bean!! One of my top 5 required stops on my trip. Lol didn't disappoint. Great views of the city from there as well.

Pandaneshia Morgan

One of my favorite places to go in Chicago, especially in the Summer. I like to take my kids there and let them play in the water and enjoy themselves. They bond with other children, no matter what race or creed, while they're there and I love to see that.

Rodrigo De Luna

Great place for sightseeing and walking around. The famous bean statue is pretty packed with tourists but it's still possible to get a nice pic. There's also plenty of places to sit at and enjoy the park

Anjali Kant

Very modern park. Has ultra modern structures. Very well maintained. Open from 9 am to 11pm. Safe even at night

E. Campbell

Gorgeous public space perfect to get a good view of the city and shoreline. The scenery is fantastic, lots of flowers in the warm months and there's even an attached garden near and access to the Art Institute. Lots of different events are hosted here. Public restrooms are available and there's green space for picnics blankets or lawn chairs at select times. Must visit Chicago attraction

Tiny UnicornTM

It was so pretty! The places surrounding it and the city was so well put together. I wish I lived there :( and the pigeons there were very friendly! (They LOVE crackers and bagels ;)

Isaac Jensen

It's Chicago so expect it to be crowded. That doesn't deter from the experience though. The Bean is just something really cool to look at and take a picture of/with. The garden areas nearby are all quite beautiful and the concert area is dare I say rocking! Daley park is also nearby and that has fun activities such as mini golf, rock climbing, etc. Makes for a very fun time

Jessica Gaff

I love Chicago. This park is beautiful and clean. There some amazing waterfalls and the giant bean. It's surrounded by incredible buildings and down the street from awesome resturants. I will definitely be back to visit soon.

Jamie Glisson

Such a neat place to experience. The views were great of course and sweet family memories were made.

Estella Banks

We only had a short amount of time to see the sites in Millennium Park. It was cool to see the mirrored "Bean" and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. The architecture of the pavilion reminded me a little of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles, beautiful and abstract with lots of natural wood.

Kelli Stephenson

Suuuuper busy, cool to walk around. Was kinda expecting more stuff though... And the garden area was already dead since it was cold :(

Mayra Ruvalcaba

My family and I had such a great experience here. It was my first time visiting Chicago and of course we had to go to Millennium Park! There were so many people walking in the downtown area. We live in the country in Idaho so this was a different experience for us. It is definitely a place to go visit if your in Chicago!

David Garcia

It is so Kitsch, but the Bean really is fun. Plus all the ecstatic kids running through the fountains was very amusing. I definitely recommend passing through here for the sake of the experience.

Guy Bashan

Great place to visit in Chicago. Beautiful park with art and nature. Great place to walk around and scout. There is a parking place below the park itself with plenty of parking, but the cost is very high, which is understandable due to the location. The park is 5 minutes walk from the lake which offers a very nice boardwalk.

Sushant Tyagi

Best park to visit Chicago. You'll never get sick of visiting it. The nature park was the best part this time since me & my wife encountered few butterflies

Favour Adeola Enicrown

Each moment i spent here been awesome, refreshing and energizing. Wish summer could stay much longer

Laura Dencer

One of my favorite venues for music and events in Chicago (or just to stroll through the park). Many free concerts for all types of music. Also beautiful gardens, video waterfall towers where people of all ages cool off in the hot summer. My favorite venues are the jazz and blues concerts at the Pritzker stage. All free. There is seating as well as a huge grassy field where people bring blankets, folding chairs along with food and drink to enjoy the events. The beautiful Chicago city skyline backed up the the park is gorgeous. It's also just a short walk to the gorgeous lakefront, and, if you have kids, the Maggie Daley park which is a huge playground for kids as well as adventurous adults. Can't say enough about this wonderful park. Enjoy!

Jesus Lazo

It was so beautiful. I really enjoyed being at this park . There were so many people from different countries. I really loved this place

Abhishek Reddy Chamakura

Very nice tourist spot. Very good and well maintained park. Very creative architecture to create a water falls like theme. Very good spot for kids and adults to play under the water falls and cool down on a summer afternoon or evening ..lot of visitors spots around including the Chicago bean , pavilion and many more .. also there are good food and coffee shops around. Good view of the city. I would highly recommend this place for all the tourists and even the locals to enjoy the summer .. Great architecture and design

Kimberly Hamza

Well what can I say Millennium Park is so so beautiful and vibrant. So much goes in there in the summertime. Concerts movies in the park. Just simply beautiful. Get out and take a stroll in the park visit Cloud Gate(The Bean) You will love it.

Nathalie Destine

The park is beautiful. Loved the flowers and trees. Took some pictures by "the bean". And went by the concert hall. Overall nice place to have lunch to to take a leisurely stroll.

Eric Heath

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Loved the Cloud Gate (aka giant silver bean). Amazing piece of art. I highly recommend visiting if you have some time in Chicago.

Konamaneti Sreenivasa Reddy.

A different feel. Shot your photo in the mirror with Chicago skyline reflection. Huge oval shape dome with like seamless mirror. So clean is there surface, you can trace your reflection even from far end. Reach out bottom and see the image on top. Centrally located in the Central Park. Great location.

Lacy Vardeman

We loved this area, even while Lalapouluza was going on. The sights of the youth in concert attire was even a sight on it's own. The Bean is worth the trip alone. We had so much fun just walking about looking at the amazing architecture. Downtown Chicago is indeed a beautiful city. We keep hearing how dangerous Chicago is, but while walking about the area, we never felt uncomfortable in the least. We also did a late night walking tour of Haunted Lincoln Park and did not have any worries at all. I enjoy a nice walking city!

Joe Cera

Garden is cool and serene. Cloud Gate (bean) is typically crammed with tourists, which can be a positive since the rest of the walking paths are left more unclogged. Really clean space. Accessibility from certain street corners feels like cars run the city, not people. Parks and people first for the 5th star.

Bernardette Ontiveros Correa

The bean is pretty awesome, you can take lots of pictures in front of it. There are lots of tourists, so it's better if you go early or late so you have the place to yourself. The view of the buildings is beautiful.

TeQuila Hollins

Miss being there already, or was like being home again. I'm definitely going to go back. Had to much fun there and the food amazing.

Candice Shimanek

Visited during the Chicago Jazz Festival. Free live music in a beautiful space. Interacting with Cloud Gate and seeing the joy this public art piece brings to viewers faces is priceless. Highly recommend a visit.

Rolando Hurtado Cobos

Great experience. Beautiful place to hang out with the family. No doubts. That place is reference. Everybody has to visit the giant bean

Ikram Yahiani

My first time in Chicago, so no way to miss seeing this huge bean lol. I liked the park overall, the only question that I kept asking myself was how can it possible to build this giant monument and make it look so shiny enough to think that is was made from only one piece.. anyways, I recommend to visit it the park. You won't regret.

Ashar Rahman

Very clean and we'll kept. Even with the rush of jazz fest there is so much room and places to sit. The main venue itself is very pretty and the other locations are beautiful too. The Flora and fauna of the area are non intrusive and only add to the beauty. Every member working here I've interacted with, has been a great help and very kind, glowing with joy even.

Prerana Samant

The bean is the main attraction here but it's too crowded on weekends. Try visiting early morning to take good photos. The Buckingham fountain is magnificent. Just walk around to enjoy the view. The river walk is very close from here.

Joe Rangel

Such an awesome park! I love in Michigan so I don’t really have a park that comes close to the scale of what is here in Chicago. The beautiful skyscrapers, the clean streets, the magnificent mile, the fountain faces, and the Bean give you a chance to see just how much Chicago loves giving people something to look at. A beautiful city skyline you have to experience at least once.

Anita Garmendia

I visited this park with my family on summer and it was a nice experience. The Crown Foutain is a special place to go and see not only the videos on the monolithic structures but how people interact with water and the changing faces. It is certainly public art. Honestly, I was amazed because I haven't seen it before so the whole environment and the Fountain took me entirely by surprise.

Sweet Pea

Chicago Jazz Festival! What a great surprise. I'm a jazz and music fan, period. This festival was my kind of party, and the seating arena, withlarge grass area, magnificent. Around the park, there is a variety of seating options for relaxing, taking a break, reading or just taking in the day.

David Gomes

Impressive park in the middle of downtown. There was music playing and people dancing everywhere when I went. There were even bar tents setup around the area so we could buy drinks while we walked around. The Cloud Gate (or "The Bean" as it's more affectionately known as by the locals) is a monument like no other. It really needs to be seen in order to understand...

Lena Dolberg

Absolutely loved it! This park has something for everyone in the family. Chicago knows how to do it. Parking was even very easy and convenient. Can't wait to go back. Crown fountain was such a unique experience! And the bean, pictures do not do it any justice. Especially walking under it. Its not just a piece of art it is its own experience that reminds you to look at all around you with a different perspective, or at least from a different angle.

Victor D Verdev

Pretty cool actually. Looks like something an alien would have plopped down from their spacecraft. Admittedly, I know nothing about this attraction, however. My son brought me here. But I was pleasantly impressed. Remotely observable Chicago skyline is a nice adornment to the park's "visual vibe".

Mackenzie Carpe

This is a fun park to walk around. My kids enjoyed the fountains especially, as well as seeing the bean! Bathrooms are a bit spread out and shaded seating can be hard to find on a busy day. Such a cool place to be right in the middle of everything in Chicago!

Chicken Lady

Enjoyed being at the park. Lots of beautiful flowers. Very clean. The two tall fountains were something to see. Nice place to sit and relax.

Lisa F

Beautiful park. Great walkways and gardens and super opportunities for picture taking day or night. The public restrooms close early though. Then you are stuck!!

Claudia Compostella

Beautiful and famous park in Chicago, ideal for a walk through works and structures, like the famous Cloud Gate - familiarly called "The Bean" - the Crown Fountains and Jay Pritzker's Pavilion. Bridges and walkways also connect it with the Art Institute museum. I recommend a walk even in the evening, with the lights of skyscrapers as a backdrop.

Nate Dame

My wife and I went on our biggest dates here years ago, so we live to visit and so how it has changed as each part of the park and the at museum have been finished and added to. We stayed at the Chicago Athletic Association right across the street and, saw a show, it was an awesome trip.

Deana Smiel

Fun place downtown Chicago. Probably every tourist visits. The bean shown is a huge sculpture you can walk through. Water splashing area to cool off. Restaurant is really good. Ice skating in winter. It's next to the Art Institute which is my favorite place in Chicago.

Stadiume Hott

Definitely one of those places you must check out. It's in many top places to check out in the US lists, that I've noticed. The Park is lovely and the strange statues are quirky and are a tourist attraction for sure. It doesn't have to be a huge ordeal, but a short visit is definitely a really decent time killer indeed. It's free and is in an area with great food and things to do... why wouldn't you go? Recommend.

Be prepared for parking prices and know that it's way cheaper and easier to pay online first. During events there are security checks but everyone was friendly and the park was beautiful. The bean was gorgeous, the garden was great and the Chicago food smells were so delightful.

Nerico G. Real

Fun recreational park. The mirror bean and the projection fountains have a lot of entertainment value to them. Fully recommended.

Sharyn Meffin

Wonderful park on edge of Lake Michigan. Beautiful and interesting sculptures and gardens looking magnificent at this time of year. Few places to eat and drink but not plenty all round park. Seats and grass to sit on in parts.

B Pedre

Loved Millennium Park. Security staff was friendly and nice. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The Chicago Lyric Opera concert was a lovely surprise on the day I visited.

Shivangi Arora

We went there around evening and the place was not that much crowded and hence I was able to get some decent shots. Visited Cloud gate. The bean mirrors the beauty of Chicago! The skyline on one side and the green view on the other. It looks way more cool than you must have seen in pictures. The park is very well maintained and well worth a walk. Lots of eating joints in the surrounding area. Handicap accessible. Lots of shows/concerts are being organized here. Cultural gem in the heart of Chicago downtown.

kelly velez

CLOUDGATE is groovy looking and very interesting in my opinion. I loved that they have music playing in the park as well.

Alexander Howard

There are iconic things in Chicago. We all know this. No visit would be complete without the Bean. Really cool thing is that the park is happening with life all over. We happened upon a concert the Chicago Symphony was putting on for free and we had such a great time. So many people of all ages coming together to exist in one place is truly amazing.

Romana Cozzolino

It's an attraction. The fountain is interesting. The Bean is cool. 30 mins tops needed here. Best part , you can buy a beer and walk around!

Erwan Leroy

A huge park in the middle of the city which offer a lot of activity through the year. You can also enjoy the walk during summer.

Maxence Raballand

That's a beautiful park with iconic buildings. There's always a lot of people near the bean but you still can take great picture. The outdoor theatre is beautiful and the sound is very good. You can sometimes watch films or listen for free to music sometimes. For example, I saw a rehearsal of an orchestra for free. It's a great memory. There are a lot of other things to do and you can rent bikes in the area to ride along the coast of the lake from there. Don't miss this !

Brandy Richter

A place where special pictures with family and friends can be taken. It's gorgeous! You can see the downtown of Chicago all the way around it. It's my shiny spaceship. Beautiful! ❤

"The Bean" is a must see. The Ribbon bridge leading to Maggie Daily Park is a nice walkabout. The actual pavilion is a hit or miss and I'm not a fan of ice skating with large crowds. Definitely, a tourist attraction but one that should not be missed by us locals interested in mini golf and wall climbing.

On a visit to Chicago, I took a quick walk through this park. It is definitely a well designed, and very interesting. I can imagine that this would be a great spot to hang out. But for me, a quick walk through was enough.

Leslie McConachie

Loved walking, biking, visiting, hearing orchestra play with free admission, the Bean was amazing. Orchestra concert gave me goose bumps, amazing venue. Chicago Art Museum nearby well worth the admission cost.

It's a beautiful work of art! When we went it wasn't too crowded but I recommend going really early to get the place to yourself and get better pictures.

Peter Stoner

A great place to relax and appreciate the Chicago skyline - whether looking directly at it or its reflection in the bean. Keep walking south. The Lake Shore walk is very pleasant.

Hugh J Larkin

You must visit this place in the summer or you really haven't visited Chicago. The famous "Bean' is here along with a beautiful ampitheater. Lots of people and activities. This park is very popular among visitors and Chicagoans. It's very safe, with police and security patrolling.

Mike Freeland

Busy and eventful as always. Relatively clean but some serious mud pits throughout the various green spaces. Understandable towards the end of the summer season after so many events. Jazz fest was fun and free

Matt Smyly

The bean was much cooler than I expected....I just wish my 6 year old was here with us. He would love it.

Katrina Babic

I'm so glad I went back this year. It's been easily 5 years since I was last here, and I was so pleased to see all the new additions! It was so beautiful ❤️

Great tourist destination. Perfect for picture opportunities or people watching. One of the busy spots in Chicago, especially on weekends and in the evenings.

Lynn Barrette, LCSW, LUT

Beautiful place to walk, take pictures, have lunch, people-watch, read a book, read a blog, sit in the grass, meet up with a friend, or grab a cuppa. If you're visiting, don't miss the chance to walk around and see Cloud Gate, AKA The Bean. If you live here, don't forget how awesome of an outdoor space this is our great city!

kedar gholap

A star attraction when visiting Chicago. You must stop at the Millenium park. Its free!!! Impeccably maintained and spotless clean, this is one of those places which make Chicago appealing to tourists. The bean shaped cloud gate is simply marvelous and visibly attracts more crowd. Its a great place for selfies and a chance to click some clever photos. The garden is also well manicured. The lawns are maintained properly. Definitely worth a stop when visiting Chicago.

Mya A

I had always wanted to come to Chicago just to visit Millennium park and I must say it was so worth the visit. It definitely worth the visit. It had been divided into different parts and every part of the park is worth visiting. We also got there during their air shows so that was fun to watch and also we got to see the concert the had put together as well. In general, I think Chicago is definitely something to have on your bucket list and Millennium park should be on top of list from places you want to see. I absolutely loved it. This is the place that you can go to be in heart of Chicago dt and absolutely enjoy the views and it's activities.

So what is the one thing that you need to do when you visit Chicago? Go see the big ole bean at Millennium Park duh. This is always cool to experience with folks who have not been here before. We went at nice and was able to see everything lit up. During the day time is always great too. Not to mention we went in November and it was brrrrrrrr cold. If you haven’t been get out there and start counting beans!

This place is busy with people at all times and days of the week. This park is home to the cloud gate, or also known as the bean. It is pretty cool to see and touch such a cool piece of famous artwork

I had heard so much about "The Bean". It is quite an amazing work of art to see in person. I think more pictures are snapped here than any other part of the park. Safe and fun place to bring the family.

Love the concerts and outdoor exercises available on weekends. Maggie Daley is also a nice park for kids and families. The bean is always fun to go visit too. A nice addition to Chicago and better than Grant park.

Very special place! The cloud gate is one of the first places I visited in Chicago. It reflects how small you are in a big world! Very impressive!

Always a good time when in Chicago! Millennium park is a must when visiting Chicago and ofcourse a pic by the Bean is a need to. Park is kept up fairly well. Lots of different activities constantly going on depending on when you visit. Very spacious park to enjoy a walk down and admire the city views in the background. There are areas to get food, refreshments and souvenirs. Must visit the park if in Chicago!

I’ll begin with saying the Amphitheater is spectacular! It’s a work of Art! I came for the Hollywood and Broadway night free concert and it was a delight. And for being outside, the sound is great! The rest of the Park is cool too. They have a few food stands and public restrooms. I really don’t care for that ugly bean

Great scenery and tourist spot to check out. Very beautiful area. Clean park, even bathrooms were very clean.

Great place to visit. As with other public entertainment venues, Chicago really did a good job. It was started by Mayor Daly and improved by Mayor Emanuel. Great place, good entertainment, and lots of security. Again, Chicago Cultural Affairs Office did s great with Millennium Park!

Really enjoyed this oasis in downtown. It was my first trip to Chicago and was able to walk to the park from my hotel. Really enjoyed the sculptures and performances (saw some children playing jazz music while there). Disappointed Lollapalooza was going on though so we couldn't walk through the whole park.

Fatma Pir-Cakmak

Very beautiful park but it was so crowded. You can see all the interesting buildings around cloud gate. It is a great place in the middle of downtown.

Ben Townsend

If anyone tells you the bean is overrated, don't listen. It is one of the most amazing works of art I have ever seen. There is also a little cafe nearby in the park with fair prices and great mojitos. We wanted to stay for the Mexican band that was performing that night, but the kids couldn't hang.

Christian Löfvall

An awesome park nobody could miss in their visit to Chicago. As a resident, I go here often, as many festivals and events are hosted here. The space is gorgeous, wide, well taken care of and clean. Don't miss it.

The best places to visit.a lot to do. Ensure that you look at the map carefully and cover areas to watch .you might also be able to get the rental bike so that you can cover more. Sometimes guys stay and give bikes from divvy. Also there is a lake trail nearby of 18 miles which is breathtaking. Don't miss it. You can cycle your way around, again can get great bikes on rent there too.

It's an incredible place to be. If yoga is your thing this is a must ,with open air yoga in the yard. The Cloud Gate is the most incredible piece of architectural art if ever seen. If you never planned on going to Chicago ,then you can change your mind and at least hit up the park. It's amazing.

John MacDonald

This was a good visit...the food was spot on and they even made a request for extra spice workout. The cheesecake was awesome as well. Can get busy but worth the trip

Colton Langford

A sprawling park with a ton of stuff to do. Cloud Gate, a concert venue, several pretty fountains, and a botanical garden. You also have plenty of hot dog stands to pick from (which are a must do). It’s simply one of those places you can’t go to Chicago without visiting because there’s so much there and nearby. Nearby, in walking distance, is also the Chicago Art Institute, so stop by and see some iconic paintings and artifacts you’ve seen your entire life.

Cinda Rutter

Absolutely beautiful park and helpful locals! We were a little lost as to where we were supposed to meet our Uber and a local saw us looking lost and gave us directions to where we wanted to go. The bean was a very neat sight to see!

Michael Ruiz

Really good place to be over the weekend. Many things to do here. And a lot really cool buildings.

Meredith Cruz

I absolutely adore this place. It is a grand and lovely tourist attraction. It is also within walking distance to many other main tourist attractions, such as the Willis Tower. The scenery and fountains are breathtaking and their are many events held in this park. Millenium Park is free to enter, but you have to pay for parking. It is a charming place that you, your family, and friends can visit.

Dani Wippo

One of Chicago's finest! Very beautiful place, many activities and parks. Family friendly. Lots of travelers come here

Rebecca Danae Cortés

This time we saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding with friends on the Great Lawn/Pritzker Pavilion. It was great! We feel so lucky to live in Chicago and have access to Millennium Park and all the fun events.

Lisa Montgomery

Words cannot express the great time I've had at the Jazz Fest so for everybody was nice just like one big happy family. Chicago Rock. I had a blast. I had a jazzy time

Stephanie Hernandez

Best park in the city. Beautiful all around with something for everyone. Field house at Maggie Daley Park is very clean and has a changing table for diaper changes. Family friendly.

Jamie S

Such a great open space in the middle of a busy city! There was a local dance festival there the day we went and then had security checking bags which adds a sense of safety in such a crowded area. Sad that we have to worry about that now days, but nice to feel safe. They have a fun splash pad area for the kids with giant facial art displays that were fun to watch. The cloud gate “bean” is always a classic to visit too.

Yemisi Sekoni

Very beautiful grounds and the bean was pretty cool. Also random street vendors and was able to buy this really cool sandstone engraved with my name. It takes him only 60 seconds to make!

The Great Purple Fishlord

The "Bean" is bigger than you'd think! Truly unique piece of modern art, which through it's design offers a degree of interactivity. Watching your reflection morph as you walk beneath it is an sight like no other. One for your bucket lists. Truly one of the 21st Century's artistic wonders.
