A great distraction if it's on your route. Kids would love it and it's an easy way to stretch your legs. I highly recommend buying the coins from the liquor store or hardware store so you can see the dragon breathe fire.

This is so weird and cool. My friend took me here for my birthday trip and it was awesome! You can buy tokens for a dollar each that you can put in a little machine to make the dragon breathe fire. Totally great road trip.

This is a cool attraction that you dont get to see anywhere. Its worth a short detour. The flames dont go too far out. Maybe a foot, foot and a half but its still cool to see. Get the coin from the liquor store across the street.

Nice small RV park with FHU & great WiFi. People are very friendly. They have a structure there of a fire breathing dragon. They are close to I70 without the noise. We travel south for the winter and would definitely stay again.

This is such a great, fast stop to make when on a road trip. It takes $1.00 to make the dragon breath fire, although it would be nice for it to last longer, it is a lot of fun for little ones and older as well.

I love roadside attractions. It looked in great shape and the area well maintained. We bought a token at the liquor store for the dragon fire (I think I was charged twice for it - I paid one lady cash for it then bought pack of cigs for hubby, wasn't given receipt but it added up like I was charged for it again by the other cashier). A fun experience!

It was beautiful my only complaint is you can buy tokens at the stores right beside it and it takes one token to have the dragon breathe fire but after 10 tokens and it never shot any fire! On a positive note they are going to fix it ASAP!

While this might be a cute attraction for children, IF you are actually driving right through Vandalia, IL, it's really not much of an attraction. The hardware store is JUST a hardware store, so unless you need some hardware, just go in and get your token for the dragon. (Although they do have a very nice bathroom!) The dragon itself is a cool thing to take a picture of. Kids would get a kick out of putting in the token and seeing the fire.

As far as tourist attractions go, it's not bad! It's nothing to write home about though. You can get dragon coins from a small hardware shop near the dragon. Put one in at night and watch him breathe fire!

Thought this thing was really cool. But it needs more publicity. We didn't know it was there and we've been through there quite a few times. It also blows fire for a dollar which is pretty neat so go on a not windy day.

My son loves dragons we we're exciting to see him make a wish and then Watch the dragon spit out fire we went to the liquor store to get the coins for 1.00 my daughter decided to keep her coin as a souvenir and my son went back to get another coin to keep it as well nice place to stop stretch your legs and let the kids have a little fun

Fun road trip stop. Nothing to do other than the dragon, but it's very cool. Be sure to buy a token at the package store across the street to make the dragon breathe fire! We bought two tokens and one lasted considerably longer than the other. Have your camera ready!

Good stop for kids. It has the ability to breathe fire out of its mouth. If you go into the true value store you can get tokens to make it breathe fire. A token will last for several seconds. Great roadside attraction.

Pretty cool to see. My kids were excited. The flames were no more than 1 ft long and only lasted 4 seconds. It was a little windy, this may be the reason why they were short.

Cool detour off the highway, and heads up, if you go into the hardware store they'll give you a token to get the dragon to breathe fire. However, if go into town, there's a fantastic little downtown with a great Thai restaurant and some historic gems that really blow away the dragon.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs. The dragon only works for about 1 second though, not the 4 to 5 seconds I'd read about. My younger kids loved it.

If you have a self contained RV and just need a place to stop with hook ups this is it. No cable though and most of the sewer hook ups are way to tall to dump.

The RV park was just a parking lot with a few spaces, but it had full hookups. It was convenient and had easy access. The dragon was cute. We got two tokens to activate the fire-breathing feature, but it was daylight when we got them. I'll just give them to one of my grandkids for a souvenir.
