Really nice visitors center. I stopped here to get a I&M Canal Passport Stamp. I have been to several Locks in the past, and I still learned a thing or two at this site. Great views of Starved Rock across the river. The Staff was very friendly and informative.

Very cool!! We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. Lots of neat stuff to look at. Julie McDonald gave us a guided tour. She was great!!!

A fine place to calm your mind and relax. It is a small visitor center but the watching the locks operate is quite interesting and by the time one barge gets by, an hour and a half is up. At February you can watch eagles fishing over the dam. People interested in nature, engineering and ornithology would like it here.
