REVIEWS OF Yellowstone National Park IN Idaho

Scott Yockey Jones

The best National Park I have ever been to, and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen anywhere on the globe. My only regret is not spending more than a week there. Five stars, will definitely be back.

Joshua Daniels

Always a great place to visit. Whole family enjoyed the simple magic of nature. Spent 3 days but could have spent 10!

Scott Kackman

The most amazing beauty nature has to offer. I suggest bringing backpack with snacks and plenty of water. Sunday is the slowest day in the park and the Grand Prismatic (midway geyser basin) is the most beautiful. Get to your destinations before 10 a.m. so you can get good parking.

Jen Neumann

Absolutely gorgeous! If you're interested in seeing wildlife and a nice drive, definitely head north to Mammoth. It's picturesque and amazing! We saw black bears, grizzlies, elk, pronghorn and a badger. The geothermal areas are incredible as well. Artist Paint Pots had a long line to get into park, but was worth it. Definitely take the trail to Fairy Falls to get the observation look at Grand Prismatic Spring. Gorgeous! I recommend Old Faithful and all the trails there in the evening. Beautiful, cooler temps and fewer people.

Gemini Saven

I feel like rating a national park is a little strange, but nonetheless, this place deserves 5 stars. If you're thinking about starting to visit the United States national parks, this is a great place to come visit. Yellowstone is very well known for hot pots, geysers, Rivers, waterfalls, hiking trails, wildlife, and the general nature around the area. There are hikes for people of all skill types, from easy and family friendly, to more difficult, longer ones for the adventurous souls. When you come visit, come prepared! This includes having plenty of water, good hiking shoes, a jacket for the colder weather, first aid kit, and other basic necessities. It does not hurt to consider bringing a walking stick and a hat as well. Since this is the wilderness, there are wild animals. Moose, Bears, buffalo, and several other species. Always keep your distance, and keep children close. They are not animals to mess around with. As long as you keep your distance, you will be safe and you shouldn't have any issues with the wildlife. It's fascinating to see, but it is also common knowledge around here that you leave the animals alone.

Derek Bennett

By far the best park in the country, if not the world. It's unbelievable how well taken care of and protected, yet still wide open it is here. Great job by park rangers and guests who help protect the park. Seriously mind blowing how amazing this gem is.

Robby Barnes

Yellowstone is such a beautiful park. There are so many interesting places to see. It’s truly a unique location in the world that everyone should try to see at least once in their life. It is frequently very busy so plan on it being crowded. It’s still absolutely worth going to.

Todd Burk

Beautiful place, unspoiled except for the primates who stop miles of traffic to look at a bison drinking from a stream. This Oklahoma boy considers them cattle. Would love to camp in the park next time and see the more reclusive wildlife.

Jennifer Schillaci

Great week at Mammoth Campground. Camphost were the best! Easy drive to the north & middle of the park. Visited Old Faithful, the Yellowstone Canyon, Lamar Valley, and so much more. A week is not enough time to do it all. This is an amazing place!

Barb Zenner

One of the greatest National Parks to visit. We went mid Sept and started getting cooler, but some of the colors were changing and it was beautiful.

Belicia Anderson Carter

Simply beautiful! I recommend viewing the park over several days. Even with construction traffic was not too bad. I spent 9 hours there and still missed several sights. I can't wait to come back next year.

Anthony Murdock

Very beautiful scenery. One thing to note. There was a lot more visible wildlife on the northern loop. A good camera is a must have as well as packed lunches so you can eat in the car and continue exploring the park. Fun fact the 35 dollar entrance fee gets you 7 days of park access.

Barbara Albro

So tough to come up with superlatives which haven't already been said. Nature is so amazing and beautiful! Thank goodness we have national parks! I am fortunate to have been able to spend a few days here.

Sarah Elizabeth Roberts

One of my favorite places! Aside from the fact you are walking around on a literal active volcano where half of the worlds geysers and geothermal features are located, there is much to be in awe of! I love the quiet down to earth feeling I have every time I visit. Yes there are several tourists, but it takes a matter of minutes to hike away and you’ll find yourself completely alone. I always watch the interaction between the animals and their natural habitat. Including the humans, there is a lot of diversity when you’re here. ;) Because of the strict guidelines, the animals literally see humans as just another animal hanging out around them. You’re basically ignored if you mind your own business as they are minding theirs. Someone said like a zoo. I laughed so hard. Not even close. No cages and everything is at your own risk! Not sparing having your car brushed up against by bison. The rangers are always helpful and kind, which is refreshing. So many different sites to see and places to check out local goodies.

sue397

Inspiring beauty at every turn. We visited in late Sept 2019. Sunny days, fresh crisp air and cool nights. Quaking Aspens neon yellow in the sunlight.

Phil Hatfield

Such a beautiful place on Earth. Hidden gems found all over, from waterfalls to geysers, to beautiful meadows with wildlife, to huge ravines and canyons. It is no wonder Teddy Roosevelt thought it should be preserved...and it eventually was!

Anthony

Beautiful place. Many wildlife and plants to see. Old faithful was awesome. Many great tour sites and guides. One of my best trips yet. You should really go, there is so much to see.

Liona Fan Chiang

Atop a volcano, hot springs, colorful thermopiles, geysers, terraces (don't miss those!), bison, elk, bears, stars. Go by motorcycle. Some of the camp sites (ex mammoth springs) have motorcycle only sites, also, nice roads except construction at West entrance at least as of summer 2019.

morgan zach

Very beautiful park, love all the wild life. Definitely a bucket-list attraction. Went with my family and enjoyed stays in the park and want to come back asap!

Aaron Hydro

Breathtaking natural wonders. I got to see so much wildlife and amazing sights. If you have never been here. . . What are you doing with your life?

Scott Fry

Was amazing as always. Had a great time and a week wasn't long enough to see everything I want to see. We will be coming back.

Z Johnston

Went in early May and avoided the crowds I've heard so much about. It might be the single most gorgeous place on Earth. It is also worth mentioning that Wyomingites are very friendly overall so you might make friends too.

Sally Crank

We always have a good time at Yellowstone. The entrance past Duboise is a 2 park entry fee of $70. You're better off getting an America the Beautiful pass for $80 and it's good all year to all the national parks.

William Navarro

Such a great time in the Park. So much to see and always changing. The wildlife conservation efforts and the staff are amazing. A true one of a kind and must see.

Chris

If camping, I recommend Norris Campground. It’s located as in the middle as you can get and it’s beautiful. They have pull-up spots and spots you have to make a small walk to. To protect the area and to keep our little feet safe, most of the trails near geysers are raised wooden paths.

Nate Smoyer

Absolutely incredible experience. I recommend you travel here several times so that each time you visit, you can take in all the natural wonders in their fullness. There's simply no place like Yellowstone on earth.

Chandria Joson

The colorful springs are amazing, the canyons and waterfalls are great, and the wildlife is exciting to watch. Many great tour sites and guides. There is so much more, can't do it in a day. Take your time and enjoy. Many great tour sites and guides.

Axel ulen

A five star rating for the park and a one star rating for the average drivers who stop the car and gets out, daring the animal to gorge them. I've been twice and will only return once more to show my wife the Beauty of this park. The overall bad driving by idiotic drivers makes Yellowstone IMHO the most dangerous National Park to visit.

S.P. Dudley

The splendor is amazing, every time. If you want to get through in a timely manner...may want to consider an early start to avoid a lot of traffic.

Dallas andrews

Yellowstone national park was absolutely beautiful. I could not have asked for a more amazing place to go especially seeing everything that we did such as buffalo, elk, and antelope. The lake and streams were gorgeous as was the drive up to Yellowstone.

Robert Turner

Norris Geyser Basin is an unheralded beautiful part of the first National park. Parking lot is the only problem. Parking lot needs to be tripled in size. The entire park is interesting, beautiful and a great opportunity to learn about nature!

Supriyo Mohapatra

Yellowstone park contains around 50% of the geysers and hot springs of the whole world. The geysers are beautifully colored with minerals. Animal siting is too high. I have been to many national parks in US, but Yellowstone stands aside from all. Nature at it’s best. Must visit place.

Eddie Garcia

Love this place... wish those driving would use the ‘pullouts’ provided to allow thy those wanting to drive more than 20MPH pass then.

Benjamin Sturgeon

Wonderful and unique park. Yellowstone Grand Canyon was probably our favorite. The geothermal springs are also really awesome. If you want to see wildlife go to Lamar Valley from sunrise to about 10am. If you have a good pair of binoculars you can see the wild wolves.

Laurie Mesch

You can see God’s majesty in craftsmanship of Yellowstone. We came too early and some of the roads were still closed off because of snow. This was my first but definitely not my last trip. We can’t wait to come back! A huge thank you to all the employees that help to run and keep the park clean, beautiful, and safe. God Bless y’all !!

Love our trips to Yellowstone! Always new adventures to discover. From driving in your car to hiking on the trails there is something for everyone. And the views are spectacular. Definitely worth the trip

Yellowstone National Park’s 2 million acres are home to an incomparable combination of natural beauty, rugged wilderness, majestic peaks and abundant wildlife, as well as the world’s largest concentration of geysers and thermal features. The iconic spots—Old Faithful, Lower Falls and Yellowstone Lake—may be familiar from paintings and photographs, but seeing them in person is a humbling, enthralling experience.

Kathy Laws

Such a variety of beautiful nature to see! You need at least 3 days or more to see all there is to offer. Truly an awe inspiring area!

Ed Senne

Beautiful Park. Nature is overwhelming. Saw a lot of wildlife. Geysers and hot springs are beautiful to see. Glad we finally made it. A place everybody should see!

Josh Mooney

A truly stunning place. We tend toward the less crowded areas of the park. Lamar Valley is our favorite for wildlife viewing and cook outs next to the river. Many return visits in our future. Would love to return in Fall and Winter to experience different seasons as well.

John S. Fuller

The Outdoor Disneyland - for a small fraction of the Disneyland price. Absolutely stunning displays of nature, from thermal features to canyons, lakes, forests, meadows, and wildlife! And family friendly too (although parents will need to keep a watchful eye on younger children.

J B

Such a beautiful National Park. I highly recommend anyone to go there. From the thermal features, to the history, wildlife, and much much more. Please please remember that when you see wildlife. stay a safe distance away from these majestic animals. If you are not aware of how far away to be, ask one of the many wonderful park rangers there. Well worth going to over and over again.

RP - ryan poelman

Quite amazing really. From old faithful to Buffalo and Bear this place had it all. Never been before and was quite the place hot pots and and wildlife were abundant. When you get to old faithful be prepared for crowds. Lots of people here wanting to see the old geyser do its thing

Pranshu Pancholi

Hands down the best national park in the US. The pictures of most of the spots are mind blowing. Plus the presence of wildlife here makes the visit exciting. Grand Teton nearby adds cherry on the top. Grand Prismatic is the highlight. Can't get over it. It looks exactly the same as I saw it in pictures.

Greg Secrist

The first National Park in our county's history does not disappoint. There is so much to see that it can easily take a few days to see it all. Stunningly beautiful, a must visit!

Caleb Roberts

This is the most beautiful park in America I’ve been to, lots of different things to see like mountains, geysers, canyons, lakes and rivers. The wild life is diverse and make sure to bring a camera because the pictures are always great!

Nice place. Saw all the animals on the first day. Landscape is cool. Heard many people call it "wild nature" and seeing "wild animals". However, this is not wilderness, this is a safari. There is at least 10 000 cars on the singe road every …

Pretty touristy, but perfectly wild in all the right ways. Recommend camping at a site if you're into that. Very beautiful. I don't need to tell you that. We drove 48 hours round trip to be there and it was every bit worth it

Mike Albright

No description can adequately describe this place. You have to experience it with your own eyes. Plan on at least two days, but even longer is better. We spent three very long days and didn't run out of things to see and do.

Damon Thomas

We visited the Northeast Side through Cooke City today and what a pleasant surprise...so much beauty and very few people up there. We probably saw 1000 buffalo or more roaming the area, along with antelope, deer, and a Bald Eagle!

DrummerByNature

Yellowstone is magnificent. There are no words, no pictures, no videos, that give this place justice. The wildlife is amazing. We went mid May 2019 and stayed for a week. On our second day we were in Lamar Valley and saw a pack of wolves stalking a small herd of Bison and their calves. On our third day we saw a lone wolf and two coyotes stalking a Pronghorn along the Lamar River. We were fortunate enough to get video and pictures of that. The Rangers said that it’s rare for wolves to show themselves like that. We saw a Grizzly Bear guarding and feeding on a carcass and we also saw some Moose and of course the stoic Bison. Even if you took wildlife out of the equation the scenery is breathtaking. You also meet people from all over the world. What a great, great experience. We absolutely will go back and I would recommend that everyone experience Yellowstone at least one time in their life.

Eran Greenberg

The best national park I've been to. So many things to see in one place. It is probably most known for the geysers, but that was actually the least exciting part for me. The colorful springs are amazing, the canyons and waterfalls are great, and the wildlife is exciting to watch.

RIPAN BHOWMIK

Best national park in the country.. this is our second time at Yellowstone.. lost of wildlife bears bison wolf.. must see old faithful, steam boat geyser, grand prismatic spring..boiling river, fire hole river...book your campsite before you go.. almost all campsite get full months early.. Madison campground and grand village campground are the best..

Becky Lloyd

There's a reason it was our first national park. It truly is magical and I can't wait to go back! My kids are still mad that we had to leave. They loved the Steamboat Geyser!

Kosha Sheth

America's first national park! It's a different one with a variety of wild life if you go at the right time. Carry binoculars to spot animals. Other attractions worth watching would be old faithful and mammoth hot springs!

Technologyguy 41

Yellowstone is a beautiful national park, with breathtaking scenery. The geysers and hot water springs are beautiful, and you get a good view of them too. The waterfalls and canyons are beautiful as well. The forest service has excellent service here, and are very helpful. The animals are spectacular sights, but you will only see them if you can find them. It will take days to explore this place. This is truly the best national park you will find in the country.

Barbara B.

It was absolutely beautiful. Definitely breathtaking seeing earth’s beauty. We saw moose, bears, bison, elk, and a coyote. Where else can you say you walked on a volcano and lived to tell the tale? It is VERY busy, Plan accordingly. The only con is if you bring a dog, they are not allowed ANYWHERE.

Matthew Key

I believe any national park deserves a visit. This one is no different, and there are so many different activities available here. Definitely a must see.

donna martel

Wonderful. Hot spring pools amazing. Saw a large herd of Bison & Old Faithful NEVER disappoints. One Bison was so close we could hear him chewing. Always @ a safe distance... Falls & gorge absolutely amazing too.

Blake Hawkes

Yellowstone - America's first national park - is amazing! More treasures here than anyone can fully experience in days. Park staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Facilities are well maintained. Shops are well stocked and have good product. Restroom facilities are well distributed throughout and kept reasonably clean, given the visitor volume. You HAVE to experience Yellowstone at least once in your life or you haven't properly lived!

Linda P

I wouldn't recommend coming during the summer because it's way too crowded but mid- October is perfect. The animals were out (bison, elk, fox, etc) and we had a great time enjoying watching them and taking photos without feeling rushed.

Jack Aujla

A natural wonder that everyone should experience. The beauty of this place takes your breath away. Definitely one of my favorite experiences. Highly recommended.

Susan C

Mid to late September is a great time to go! We had no trouble with parking at all. We heard there can be long waits for parking in the summer. It was incredible to see so many animals and spectacular views of nature. Worth the trip!

Kenny Z

Yellowstone National Park is simple an otherworldly, magical place. There are multiple entrances and exits to the park. It is pristine and lots of wildlife. Had Bison walk on by our car and they are huge and majestic. The mountain goats and mini Niagara Falls are wonderful to see. Overall a must see for everyone!

camille ching

It’s a beautiful place and they’re are so many things to see. It is a little hard to get there though, but you won’t regret it.

Walbert Schulpen

We saw so much in just 24 hours. From Buffalo, elk and fox to eagles. The volcanics are amazing. The colors of the bacteria mats are amazing. The water in the geysers is clear like a beach in the Caribbean. The lake is so large, it is better described by inland sea. However, be safe, don't step off the boardwalks, you could sink in unstable soil. The Buffalo looks peaceful and lets you get closer to them than is good for you. Keep your distance.

Martin Schoepke

It's an amazing place with lots of things to see and many different animals who come very close to humans. I was less than two feet away from a Raven and a Buffalo just walked on the road passing the car within six feet. It was a great experience. If you have a chance to go to the park, don't miss out.

Keith Pond

Amazing sites. Really feel (and smell) our world's most spectacular untouched places. Experience North American wildlife up close. Truly a powerful place.

Allan Meyers

Beautiful scenery. Wildflowers and wildlife are awesome. Old Faithful and the other geysers are amazing. And gorgeous hot springs and mud pots.

Jean Welch

Such a delightful welcome & visit to Yellowstone National Park. We saw LOTS of buffalo, a mother bear with 2 cubs, & scenery to WOW any visitor!! Just WOW!! This was a long overdue return visit. (We were here in 1990.) The smell of sulfur is STILL here!! Thanks for a wonderful visit. We ❤️Yellowstone!!

Aadeep Ghosh

The Best National Park. Visited in April 2019. It was so serene. There was still snow on the ground but the place is ultimate. The park spread over a huge area with amazing scenic view and wildlife. It is a pleasant to see the loads of bisons roaming. The natural geysers are just fantastic. Must visit trip in a lifetime.

Ken Nadeau

We enjoyed this day there we had a good time we visit several locations in the park we did not stay in Yellowstone we stayed in a small town just before you enter the snow on the mountains was beautiful I definitely won't forget how it look there great place very very busy I don't know how you do it

Jay Vaidya

It would be presumptuous to rate the breathtaking variety of bizarre natural beauty that is Yellowstone. But I am highly rating the National Park Service which makes it convenient to experience it. The roads are will maintained in the figure-of-8 loop that we drove over our 2 day visit to the park. They monitored the road conditions and gave up to date information at the entrances. We spoke to quite a few gate agents as we went in and out of the park several times during our visit. All were cheerful and informative. There are many restrooms along the road and at all of the major sites: an important consideration when traveling with family in cold weather, when different members need the restroom at different times! The road signage and directions were always there when I needed them. I found the plaques describing the geology, biology and history of each place easy to read and informative. Thermal features (geyser fields, hot springs) had boardwalks so that we could get close to them, but be safe. There are concessions (food, gas and stores) at several locations in the park.

Dean Hall

Best place to visit! I have been twice and wish to go more time. You will see so many animals. Take folding chairs and go off the paths and just sit, you will see wildlife. From bears to fox to wolfs and buffalo, you will see animals. Great place for the entire family.

Benjamin Wenzel

This was the first and it is the best national park! It is so amazing with so much to see! I love coming and visiting this park. Old faithful is a staple to see as is grand prismatic and the falls/Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

Joseph Savage

I enjoyed Yellowstone a lot. There was a lot of great scenery and wildlife. During our trip we saw elk, deer, a fox, a wolf, 2 bears and a lot of bison. It was great. Be prepared for the strong sulfer smell at any of the geysers or thermal pools! They're worth it, though.

Sonm Pawar

Could it be more beautiful! Must see spots: Fort Yellowstone Lamar Valley Lower Falls lookout and Artist Point Hayden Valley Lake Yellowstone Grand Prismatic Old Faithful or other geysers And so many other quaint spots as one drives across this park.

Hera Crofts

A beautiful national park, lovely in the off-season because the crowds are non-existent and the steam from the geysers shows up much clearer. It's kinda cold in the fall/winter, but if you wear a bunch of layers, it's totally worth it for all the other benefits. Amazing place

Kiki Cooley Lund

Very clean visitor centers and good signage along the roads. Too bad there was road construction during my stay, but it didn’t really disrupt my day too much.

Colson Andrews

It was the first national park for a reason. While the unique geological features might not be for everyone, there are still first class waterfalls and mountains as well. Be sure to take some of the less traveled trails and viewing areas so as to get away from the crowd for a bit, as it can certainly become overwhelming quickly.

Tom craig

What's to say? Its beautiful. The exact opposite of our daily work lives. To see the wonders of this park you have to get out in it. Watch the world pass by your car window OR get out and be a part of nature and the world!

D Hancock

Breath-taking beauty. Super large. Plenty of places to slide off the road when icy and snowy (waited an hour while one van was pulled back from the edge). Do, be careful. And big animals all over the place.

Curtis Gurley

Plan on spending at least 2 completely full days here. So much to see it cannot be described in a paragraph. Pictures don't even come close to showing the real beauty of this park.

Cheryl Knox

What a great national park! Take your time, remember that traffic is a real thing and animals do get in the road plus it is a huge park so remember that it can take a while to get from place to place. Take lots of photos, but remember to use the pullout and not block the roadway. Stay safe, have fun and come back another time or four because you wont be able to see everything in the first trip.

Lisa Farley

We spent 6 days here and probably could have spent more. Nothing really prepares you for the traffic but if you go early then you can avoid most of it at least initially. The wildlife we saw was spectacular. Yellowstone just doesn't have an equal. I'm glad we made the trek with our small children. I would recommend staying inside the park because the lines going into the park every morning are pretty long. We had a nice stay at Grant campground. Sheep eater cliff trail was beautiful and the hike up to Mount Washburn I would highly recommend. All the volcanic activity is amazing. You'll find that a lot of people don't pay attention to the signs clearly stating to stay off the fragile thermal areas. I was astounded at how many did not pay attention to such a simple request. If we lived closer, I think we would visit again. Definitely a place you should visit.

Nancy Stephenson

Amazing part of the world! Should be on everyone's bucket list! No crowds in off season (we went in mid October) Buffalo wandering around all over the park. I've been there in July and it's very hot and crowded. Had more fun this time.

Mar0 Don

All my life coming to the United States I've never seen so much beauty in one spot. I though the Captial and Big Apple was beautiful but nature took the lead. Please preserve this beautiful landmark. Had a blast going and camping at Yellowstone.

Zack DiMeo

We had a pseudo guided tour with one of the folks that help run the park. The Bison were all over the park!! One of the most fascinating aspects of the park I thought, was the intersection of the geology of the park with the native culture that I had no idea about! The waterfalls were even more spectacular when the guide explained the cause and effects! Great time!!

Brian Stankiewicz

Amazingly beautiful. More diverse beauty than any other place I've been. Don't try to do to much at a time. Take the time to get out if the car and explore. It is well worth the investment.

Lynnette Bell

Go, but plan ahead. We booked our trip a year in advance and entered the park from the south through the Grand Tetons (stayed there 2 days) and stayed 2 nights each at most of the resorts (Lake was our favorite, but they all had their pros/cons) and made our way north through the park for a week. We took a photography bus tour one early morning and saw tons of wildlife! It was a trip of a lifetime and I really loved it!

Robert Taylor

Drove through from North to South. Old Faithful and several others. Suggest you have a full tank of gas as it is very expressive in the park. Several types of wild life.

Jim Carr

It's yellowstone. It doesn't need any more reviews. It's huge, beautiful and cannot be accurately described. One learning was that your scale for how long it takes to get somewhere will be off. Everything is farther away than you think it is, and do not drive at night. BISON

Alexa A

Love this park! Loved working in the park too! You can not go wrong with this place. Traffic is always going to be a thing so prepare for that. Brought my boyfriend here this vacation next vacation bringing his family!

Jack Harback

I love Yellowstone National Park and I believe the beauty of the park should be enjoyed by everyone at least once in their life. That being said the park is incredibly busy and the trails can sometimes be so busy you have to move at the crowds pace. The campgrounds are first come first serve and fill up very early in the morning along with heavy traffic inside the park can make it feel a little too "commercial". I would recommend camping outside of the park in any one of the surrounding campgrounds.

Tina Radon

Saw a few stupid people trying to get arm distance away from a Buffalo. Best time to go during the week and when school starts. The park itself was beautiful!!!

Cindy Morris

If you are only going to visit one National Park in your lifetime, make it Yellowstone. This had been a bucket list for us for years and we were finally able to go, it did not disappoint. The variety of animals and natural beauty is unsurpassed. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and this is definitely one of the highlights of our travels. Go!

Caleb Roberts

This is the most beautiful park in America I’ve been to, lots of different things to see like mountains, geysers, canyons, lakes and rivers. The wild life is diverse and make sure to bring a camera because the pictures are always great!

Tom Sterkenburg

Ryan Hall

This park is amazing, awe inspiring... Just gorgeous. I only wish I had more time to spend there. Definitely check out the canyon!

Laura Yvonne Pelletier

Quieter in the fall (October) with still plenty of wildlife to be seen without fighting crowds. Take at least 3-4 days to see it all....and don't rush. An amazing piece of Nature. If you can't get to Alaska, this is the next best place!

Caleb Mahon

This place is amazing!!! Such wonderful wildlife and natural phenomena to explore. My favorite parts were coming super close to a buffalo and of course seeing the marvelous geysers like old faithful go off. I keep rewatching the videos I took, but it was so much better in person. I can't wait to go again when I have time!

Michael Walker

We go all the time. You must go to Lamar or Hayden Valley, the Great Prismatic Spring and Overlook (same parking lot as Fairy Falls), and Black Cauldron mudpots/mud volcano. There are so many things to see, but these are my favorites.

Olga Gonzalez Latapi

Well, what can I say? One of the best places on earth. If you want to look at the wonder of wolves and bears make sure to head out at 6 am. Oh, and please please please stay 25 yards (two buses) away from all animals except wolves and bears. For those, you must stay 100 yards (a football field) away. This is their home. It is not your backyard and it is not a zoo.

Mason Clarke

Where to start? Yellowstone is amazing. The trees, the mountains, THE LAKE, the wildlife, the hot springs and geysers. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry, because there are way too many things to see. What a wonderful place. Absolutely breathtaking scenery.

Naman Brahmbhatt

Awesome place. Must visit destination if you are in to mountains and views. Place for all season with some planning and preparations. Wish they had a little better tourist facilities.

Melissa Campbell

Way cooler the expected. So much to do and see, even our technology addicted children loved all the cool things we saw...old faithful, hot springs, the waterfalls and the magnificent canyon. We even had a few buffalo walk right past us on the road.

Keith Wagner

In two days we saw hundreds of bison, a wolf, bald eagle, elk, deer, geese, ducks, otters and a huge grizzly bear. Traffic was very light throughout the park. We went on a Tuesday and Wednesday in late August. Also saw a couple or rarely active geysers. Amazing place. Come and enjoy.

This is my Backyard Playground. There is so much to do and see.Just Remember the Animals are WILD, give them the Respect they so Deserve. Do NOT PET BUFFALO, Don't mess with any new born babies, DO Not speed on the roads, use good judgment and caution as an animal can come out of no where, and please Don't leave the boardwalks to walk over to a Hot Pool or Gyser,Have Fun, take lots of photos and be kind to each other.

Maja Rellaford

We absolutely love Yellowstone National Park. You have to arrive early to get a spot at the camp sites but they are wonderful. Everything is peaceful, the hosts are nice and you can see the stars on clear nights. You can always see buffalo and elk and if you are lucky you can see bears and wolves too. We will be back again.

Lewy Stix

The Best! If you haven't been. Go! One of the most beautiful places on earth.

Megan Caille

We loved our time here! So much wildlife and beautiful scenery, awesome trails and hiking... this was definitely one of our best vacations

Melissa Lee

Huge beautiful park. We saw so many buffalo up close and the hot springs were so pretty. It’s easy to get lost so best advice is to use the map they give you at the gate!! Most of the big touristy spots are close together way at the West end of the park.

Daniel Jurik

Something for everyone at this National Park whether you want to view wildlife, gaze at hot springs, or enjoy the spectacular geyser eruptions. Absolutely gorgeous park. I had no issues with finding parking during my visit in September, but do allot an ample amount of time when traveling between visitor centers!

Seleta Beddo

Loved every minute of it. Saw lots of wildlife including a grizzle bear, swans, elk , bison, mountain goats, and wolfs just to name a few. Beautiful water falls. It even snowed around old faithful.

Scott Hendrix

Stunningly gorgeous. If you can, come and stay a few days while you explore. If not, even if you only have a day, come and see what you can. The wildlife alone make it worth the trip- but don't get too close! Bison and elk seem docile- until they feel threatened or annoyed by you.

Paul Kyle

Quite simply the most breathtaking place I have ever been to. Nowhere on this planet have I seen more outstanding natural beauty. It is a dream vacation for anyone interested in wildlife, nature and geology. In addition the park is laid out expertly for visitors including first timers. It is so easy to get around and visit all the magical locations within the park. There are simply too many great photos to attach but I have added a few. Enjoy.

Kim Muldrow

So much more than we expected! Not crowded at all in mid-October. It was a great visit that included snow!

Kris Meyers

Our first national Park is easily the most amazing. Before you visit do your research because the campgrounds fill-up quickly. Anything you visit will be unlike anything you've seen. Thermal pools unreal

dipu sukumaran

One of the best national parks I have ever been to. Its a totally different world. I think the best time to visit is fall, as the crowd will be very less and chances of spoting wild life is higher.

Tanel Laansalu

Nice place. Saw all the animals on the first day. Landscape is cool. Heard many people call it "wild nature" and seeing "wild animals". However, this is not wilderness, this is a safari. There is at least 10 000 cars on the singe road every day and animals are used to people like in the zoo. Nothing wild about it. Getting a camping spot is nearly impossible. Hopefully it gets a solution soon. Definitely worth a visit, but start early. The park may become a huge traffic jam during the day.

Rick Heil

Our favorite National Park, of over 100 we've had the pleasure to visit over the past 40 years. After enjoying the main areas there are countless hikes each providing its own unique flora, fauna and geological wonders... Often with a bonus waterfall or Vista to marvel over.

Sneha Warrier

Amazing place! Worth visiting- need at least 3 days. I would call it all in one package: waterfalls, lakes, geysers, canyons, mammoths, wild life. Best time to visit is from September-October. Long drives from one place to another hence need proper planning!

Alexa Adamson

Definitely a weekend or week trip is needed! One day is just not enough! If you're looking to see wildlife and amazing geological sites Yellowstone is the right place! In only one day there was deer, elk, Bison, antelope, foxes, coyote, chipmunks, eagles, swans, Canada geese, mallard ducks and more! What an incredible expirience to share with the family!

Rob Davidson

Its Yellowstone not much more to say. My third visit to the park. Can't wait to go back. Way to busy though. Went in October last time much less crowded and more animal activity in the fall. If you haven't been get out and see the park its amazing.

Converse 88

What an amazing park. This is a must see at least once in your lifetime. You will need a few days if you truly want to take time and enjoy the whole park. Of course don’t forget to visit Old Faithful.

Heather Manning

Of course it was completely amazing. Only did the bottom loop. It's definitely a two day or more tour if you want to see everything.

Robert Bray

Not enough time! Spent 2 weeks at 4 different campsites, each campsite offers different hiking trails, wildlife and awesome views, that are 1 hour apart from each other driving time. Wonderful history of the NFPS and Yellowstone. Enjoyed Mammoth Hot Springs campsite, Elk abundant in camp! Will do it again. ;-D

Brianna Braukmann

One of my favorite places. It's hard to rate a national park on a 5-star scale, but just know that you won't be disappointed.

Danielle Pearce

Yellowstone is a wonder of nature and should be visited by everyone at least once their lifetime. The sights, sounds and even the smells of the place make it most unique as parks go. The campgrounds are well maintained as well of most of the facilities we visited. While the Old Faithful area can be a bit like Disneyland at times, most other area of the park are less busy, though in the middle of summer, the traffic can be intense, especially if a bison decides to take a leisurely stroll along one of the many roadways. Very late summer and early fall seem to be the best time to visit just as the park starts to wind down towards it's seasonal hiatus.

Nadine Mossman

Well of course it's 5 stars. It Yellowstone! We were there for a week this time & still have not seen it all. Need to plan at least 1/2 day at each of the major areas next time!

Julie PIETTE

AMAZING! Probably the best place on Earth, we really enjoyed our stay there... and, no doubt, we will come back. The most beautiful!

Karen S

Had a great time! We were lucky enough to see 3 Grizzlies, a wolf, and a moose! Of course we saw Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, Mammoth Hot Springs. Such a fantastic vacation!

Clayton Jenkins

My favorite place to go, just wish the rest of the world would stay home while I am there. Amazing wildlife and scenic vistas

Matthew Knudson

So many amazing things to see here! Got to see a bear in the wild for the first time!!! We stayed at an organized campsite inside the park and had to pretty much call it a night at 10PM and the spots are very close to one another, but we still had an unforgettable time! Can't wait to go back.

David Chao

Majestic mountain, rivers, scenary, and wild life. It's nice to be in the wild once in a while. A must place to visit.

Azalea Loghry

Something new every time you go, scenery never gets old, animals are amazing. Drive slow, take your time, stop if others are stopped and ask what they are looking at. Most people are happy to share scopes if they have them set up. Look for wolves in Lamar Valley, Bear near Hayden Valley or Tower Junction. Elk and Bison near Madison Junction. Bipeds frequently spotted in the rivers. Any time of year us amazing. Spring and fall are my favorite times. Less traffic.

ed wogulis

Very majestic place, not as crowded as Yosemite. Have visited the national park ever other year for last 10 years. First time was in 1985.

Aileen Capellan

I have so many great memories of this place. The Old Faithful Geiser, Grand Canyon, Mammoth Hot Springs and Grand Prismatic are a must.

Ken Thetford

Seeing the wonderful diversity of topography and the various fumeroles, bubbling mud and geysers is a must. The lakes, streams and mountains are one of a kind and awe inspiring. Wildlife is abundant but sometimes a bit hard to spot.

Dan Hilliard

Stayed in three different campgrounds over six nights. They were all nice and fair priced compared to what is outside of the park. Highlights were the boiling river, west thumb at dusk (see picture) be and lone star geyser.

Feliecia FMulder50

This was the best and most exciting trip of my life. We saw so many things but the Bison was most amazing. We spent 3 days in the park and got a pretty good cross section of what the park had to offer. Beautiful!!!

Nancy Haworth

This park is so incredibly beautiful! My family enjoyed exploring it one day on our summer vacation. You definitely need multiple days to see it all! There park roads have clear signage with plenty of parking. The visitor information areas are great, and the views of the mountains, springs and geysers are amazing!

Harsh Otwani

Great place to unwind with family and friends and experience the natural beauty our mother nature has to offer... The geysers and hot springs surprise you with the hot steam they blow out while the sunlit reflection on the settled waters of the hot springs is a beauty in its own!!

Cynthia Rockwood

Spectacular! Always something great to see here. Actually, something to engage all senses. Yes, Old Faithful is a sight to see, but the park has so much more. Explore! Expect a crowd tho.

Michael Ingmanson

Our family had an amazing time in Yellowstone. As we explored we had so many questions, one of the park rangers, Woody. He took time out of his personal schedule to answer all of our questions. He truly made our trip special.

Jim

I'm still in awe. Fantastic!! Had read about it, saw pictures. Was not prepared for the magnificent beauty of the mountains and the forest. The bison and elk are really something to behold up close.

Anastasia's Recordings

Beat place ever. The old faithful is the most beautiful thing when it lets out it's boiling water. The rainbow place that shows off steam was very very cool! We got to see bysens, EVEN A WOLF! The cabin was big enough for 6 people and very high in quality!

Jonas Dornseifer

Amazing landscape and animal encounters. Camping at Yellowstone was a great experience. Yellowstone is a very big national park and needs a few days to explore. The speed limit within the park is not optimal for the protection of wildlife and needs to be lowered.

Avi Sistla

Incredibly beautiful park. So many different types of landscapes to see. Seeing the bison and other wildlife is a treat. Old Faithful was amazing, the sulfur pots were interesting and Yellowstone lake was beautiful. There is so much more, can't do it in a day. Take your time and enjoy.

K Pearson

Literally in awe at one of the most relevant displays of God's great hand! Being that this is the very tail end of summer/fall season, this couldn't have been a more perfect time to visit!

Avalos-James

Beautiful! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Trip was too short so definitely going back. Not a bad thing!

Christopher Mortorff

We've been to 30+ National Parks. Yellowstone is usually one of the best--we visit every Fall and this time visited during a snowstorm and in Lamar Valley saw coyotes, Bison, baby elk, and one of largest bull moose I've ever seen. Definitely an interesting trip in mid-October. Don't try driving in the snow unless you have 4WD--some visitors were not equipped for the weather.

Elizabeth Hernandez

Enjoyed it very much, but would be awesome if you could add guard rails on the mountains fromTower Falls to Mammoth Hot Springs. The altitude is breath taking but I felt very unease at the narrow road without guard rails!

Stephanie Stewart

A truly awe inspiring place, epic. The only downside of course, is all the tourist. You can find quite little spots if you look for them. It’s a huge park with so much to see. An entire week would be a great time frame to get the most out of it. A day trip or two is simply not enough. West Yellowstone is close and a great place to stay the night so you can get into the park quickly. The landscape is so varied in this park that you would have a hard time getting bored. We’ve been twice now and we still haven’t seen everything and would go back again and again. It’s crowded during the summer of course. We found September to be a little less crowded but overheard some rangers being surprised at how busy September was getting. October may be better for less people.

Ryan Wilson

Yellowstone is probably my favorite national park. I think everyone should experience it! The only place on earth to see all these natural treasures and amazing wildlife.

Tonkazuk

This place is totally amazing! There is no other place on earth like this. It is beautiful and I love it! I can't wait to come back.

Mike Chapman

Amazing views and sights here! I was shocked at how big this place truly is! I live just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and everyone should visit at least once!!

jennifer kullgren

This was an amazing experience everyone should do this once in their lifetime. We spent 3 days seeing it on a motorcycle there was lots of wildlife we saw big Horn sheep, buffalo, grizzly bear with her Cubs, elk, bald eagle and more.
