The Secret spot! Here's what you need to know about this place: bring cash or check, it's $5 for day use. Bring bear spray, there are bear warning signs. I've been here 4 times never seen one but you can never be too cautious. When you get there, pay and follow the hot springs sign. Follow the trail to the right it will lead you to the first hot springs, this one is a small pool about 2 feet deep on a hill. Here's the secret spot: there's 2 ways to get here, first way is go south and go through the river, yes you'll get wet up to your waist i don't recommend taking young ones either way, 2nd way is to hike up and come back down. 1st way: head south from the first hot spring, follow the trail, it will end, continue following the edge of the rocks until you see a beach, get on land and go up from the beach and you'll find 4/5 hot springs and the waterfall. 2nd option: head north from the first hot springs, continue following the trail until it drops off. Head back south when it drops off, the hot springs are around the corner. Like the review? Give me a thumbs up to see more like this.

Awful, stinky, glass everywhere, cold pools. Stay far away.

Clean outhouse, portable water, hiking trails, river views, fire pit provided, lots of parking, picnic table included, $15 for single & $30 for family location.

One of the best hot springs in Idaho that is still completely man made. People come here and actually build the pools themselves out of the local rocks by digging the holes and laying down tarps to trap water. Kind of tricky to trespass the waist deep water, but really worth it!

Aaron Martin

Campground is closed and distant from Springs.

Beautiful! Would love to go back!

Small and secluded. There is a small walk to get there but super easy for all ages. Very relaxing! I would definitely go again!

The trail to the hot springs is to the right from the first day-use lot. Make sure and pay $ !!!!!!!

Chris Luna

Pay for day parking or overnight. Not an easy hot springs to hike to and the pools were very shallow. Fun trip though. I recommend bringing a camp shovel to dig the pools deeper.

Samuel Stone

Great spot to stop and relax in a hot spring and catch a few trout!

Brooke Hetmer

So close to the hot springs!

Jared McCullough

Not the real parking for the hot springs. You have to park in the campground.

Amy Culligan

Loved it. Easy hike. Little bit of climbing but so worth it.

Mitch Burton

Awesome spot. A little gnarly getting to the waterfall pools on the northwest side by land.

Disappointing. Long drive, long hike, pools the size of one kiddie pool.

Very nice forest campground I really liked this campground. It's a nice forest setting with very large campsites. Most forest service campgrounds I have seen are have small closely spaced sites so this was a pleasant surprise. And even though the campground is fairly close to the highway, it's a couple hundred feet below the road so it's pretty quiet. I arrived on a Monday afternoon (8/6) and the campground was about 50 percent full but on Tuesday it was only about 25 percent full. Several sites were reserved but I don't think you really need reservations. The hike to the hot springs is nice but the (two pools) are small and shallow, but the water temperature was about right. As others stated, the area surrounding the campground has been burned but it's still a beautiful area and campground.

This is the first time I've been asked to review a parking lot. It's a great parking lot, maybe the best. I would say its YUUGE! I misspoke, I WOULDN'T say its huge. Maybe 5 spots. But it's one of the best parking lots, a real winner, very nice pavement. And near a hot springs, believe me, I've seen all the best hot springs, and this is a winner.

The scenery is simply amazing, you'll be surrounded by pine forests with a roaring river right below. The hot springs are a short hike from the parking lot. It was kinda busy when we arrived, but a family was nice to give us their spot when they were done. Simply breathtaking.

Nice campground with a half mile walk to the hot springs.

ReBekha Smith

One of the best around.

It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the hot springs but they are more than worth it. Clean and well maintained with many different pools ranging from mild to almost scalding there is more than enough to suit anyone's desires. Amazingly beautiful scenery looking out on the river and the forest behind that. The one downside was that it seemed to be a rather popular spot with several different groups of people also enjoying the springs. But it wasn't really that much of an issue because with a little exploring, my wife and I found almost a dozen different pools. It was well worth the drive it took to get there. 5 stars and I most definitely will be going again.

Best in winter when waterfall pool is more easily accessed via river bed
