Lost Trail Powder Mountain...shhh....this is our little hidden jem. If you love to ski, it doesn't get better than this family run Mountain resort.

Robert Yambrick

Good size mountain with some nice long intermediate runs and challenging terrain and ski jumps for experts. Realatively inexpensive lift tickets, even cheaper on Liftopia. Good resort to get some skiing and boarding in if your in the area. Food and beverages, including local brew, are available at the lodge and served by friendly staff. It's not really a good resort for beginners with very limited wide green runs. Resort facilities are a bit out-dated and signage on the mountain could be better. The biggest downside when I visited in late-March was the lack of lifts open, so there was limited access to the entire mountain.

First time visiting Lost Trail PM. Lots of free parking. Both lot and grounds are safe and tidy. All lifts safe and functioning. His and hers restrooms clean and maintained. Felt like we were with friends and family cuz everyone was friendly and all enjoying the slopes.

Loretta lockednloaded

Needs some updating.

Jennifer Seibert

Always a great place for a rest stop. Clean restrooms. And the only place to ski in the winter time.... lost trail has one of the steepest runs in Idaho that has never had an avalanche

Sam Neal

Epic day on the mountain!

Awesome little ski hill right on the Montana/Idaho border. Has great varied terrain for the most part and is a beautiful place to visit in the winter.

Not a kid friendly place. Had a bad instructor a year ago. Very rude to my 4 yea old son at the time. Now this year there was a race when I went up. My 5 year old son and I were told we had to walk from highway 93. They let people with snow mobile trailers take up all the parking. To me that's backwards make the people with snow mobiles park somewhere else instead of making a 5 year old walk that far.

Steve Hetherington

Really nice rest stop Montana border

Arne Carter

Throwback resort with surprisingly good terrain. Weird lift setup though.

kiki Dekort_ Handini

I came in the summer but still remember how beautiful is here

Jessica Cassens

Best powder around!

Rachel Nelsen

Wasted my time going up there to see if it was open. Google said one thing, their website another and their answering machine another. Couldn't get a yes or no answer to the question wheather or not it was open on Tuesdays. They need to keep their website and answering machine updated. It is bad service when no one can make heads or tails of the times and dates that they are open.

First time there. Facility needs a lot of up grading. Staff very pleasant and knowledge. Ski instructor for our 9 year old was awesome.

Nice area

Jedidiah Dunn

Fun place to ski close to Missoula that is better for amateur skiers than snowbowl, (AKA less Difficult,)

John Buck

What a great Old School ski area. We hit it with only 4 in of new snow and had a great time. With a foot + of new snow, this place would be EPIC! Open glades offer great tree skiing. Out of the way, but worth the drive.

B Glass

Amazing place great atmosphere

Dallin Harris

Great pow. Great staff. Great mountain. Nuff said.

Solar Cat

Lost Trail is a great mountain to escape from life. Rolling runs of fresh powder on a Thursday transform and bring sanity. It's a mountain gem crowning the Idaho Montana border and a treasure to the communities it serves on either side of the divide.

Martin Weaver

Jess Lyles

Staff was kind of rude to my friend getting a snowboard but the mtn was amazing!

The best powder anywhere

John Talley

Amenities and lifts a little out of date but it's tough to beat the lift ticket price and the terrain you get for the money! Fantastic small town ski resort! Highly recommend!

robert john

Great rode on our harleys. Beautiful, well maintained road cutting thru the state forest

Wes C

Overall it's the greatest small mountain with constantly good snow in the area.

Jon Schlecht

Stoked ! Awesome resort , terrain and old school mountain vibe. The lift system takes a little bit getting used to but mid mountain unloading and tow ropes to get you to the goods , awesome ! If you need high speed quads and champagne this might not be a good fit . I would highly recommend this Montana resort.

MD Tron

Best place on earth.

Kevin Neir

Chair 4 acceses some unbelievably great terrain for intermediates on a powder day. The infrastructure is old and exactly to my liking. Liz, whom I did not get a chance to meet, went above and beyond with a ticketing issue. The vibe is much like Powder Mountain in Utah. I hope to return again some day. Thank you Lost Trail!!

Carol Hinmam

Another great year on the hill

Great conditions at a low price

Ed Gore

An amazing local family area. Low key vibe, both kid and adult friendly. Fabulous terrain and snow. Best kept secret in Montana.

Mathew R

My favorite place to snowboard within 90 minutes of Missoula

Angela Binder

Grew up on these mountains and I love coming back to bring my kids here.

Brady Bever

One of the last mom and pop ski operations that does it right. Affordable lift tickets, killer powder, a good selection of runs of varying difficulty, and few crowds. Super chill place. You'll feel like you're in Jackson in the 1980's.

Don Rahm

CLEAN easy access lots of parking

RJ Wimett

The Harebrainers

Great ski resort. Lifts are old so prepare for a lot of time spent on chairs. But overall very fun place, great runs.

Carl Ballinger

I might be the only guy to travel all the way from Missouri to ski Lost Trail (I was visiting family in the area). It is a no-nonsense ski area (no froo-froo) boutiques, restaurants, condos, etc.). The snow was really good; getting used to ungroomed powder skiing was an adjustment for me, but I really got to like it. Skiing isn't cheap, but getting on the slopes here won't require a second mortgage for most people.

Jadon Hursh

went to this ski lift as my first time on a ski slope!!! had a blast!! amazing food n coffee, and warmup there too!!!

Steve Scott

Great snow yesterday and more coming

Tylor Larson

it's lost trail... keep it weird.

Jim Paulekas

Lost Trail has the best skiing anywhere.

Sammie Hilliard

Richard CraniumMT

Great place to snow board it's just to bad you can't offroad here during the summer

baker co.

Gorgeous-ness

Chad Kay

Great snow and service

Ben Miu

The snow school here is expensive, not friendly and not helpful. They have group lessons but it only runs if others join, unlike other places which still run even if its only one person. Their private lesson is $75, oh wait, $85 per hour because they put $75 but its really $85. You can get a group lesson for less than this rate at Jackson Hole or Park City which would still run if it had 1 person. There was a guy who taught me out of the goodness of his heart skiing for the 1 hour though which was really nice. The place was quite crowded but then again its probably because its a powder thursday and everyone is in it for themselves.

Loklin Nord

Lost trail is a lot of fun, it offers a great deal of harder runs for more advanced skiers. Beware of the rope tows, they have a tendency to destroy your gloves.

Karen Moreno

Worst experience ever

Jen Thorne

Snow as good as the Sierra Nevada's, every day

Cole Anderson

Josh Eamon

love it

Rich Hart

Best skiing, best value, deepest pow, most fun.

Drew Monty

Old school ski area. Been going since I was a little kid. Always a good time. Y'all can leave it for the locals. There are no high speed chair lifts. Go to Big Sky for that kind of shredding.

Scott Mears

Awesome place for what it is. If you're looking for a resort with lodging, shopping and a night life, this isn't it. Snow is generally pretty good, and staff is friendly.

G Scott Zeller

Love this mountain!

Don Higgins

Nice place

Richard Clemow

Family dirt bag local area. Cheap and lots of snow.

Ryan Mingneau

Never a shortage of powder. Could use some high speed lifts tho. Especially at chair 4.

Gwynne Sanchez

Kids had so much fun but they raised there prices again...... How about some single mom Price's.. The program is good and the teachers are always excellent!! The people who work here are so nice most of them are loving there job's...

Benjamin Thomas

Best family owned powder hill left!!! Some of the best snow in the circuit!!

Jon Straughn

Skiing was ok. Wife and I got split because she was headed down to chair 2 and I was 5 seconds behind her and ski patrol stopped me and said chair 2 was closed (mechanical issues) and wouldn't let me go down and be with her. The last 10 feet getting on chair 1 (at the lodge) are a bear for newer skiers as it's uphill. It wasn't real crowded which was nice.

Jonathan Schmitt

Took my 7 yr old on the bunny hill then up chairs 1 and 2 to go down Meadow. She loved it and loved her lesson. Beautiful scenery, great powder, short lines for the chairs, reasonable prices and fun that the mountain straddles Idaho and Montana. Love that this place is in my backyard

Matthew Dickerson

I'm biased but this may be the best skiing anywhere.

Bob Irwin

Fun little mountain

Harvey Hale

Love it the frys are back!!!!

Jason Lindquist

Great snow, long cruisers and good mountain layout! I'll go back for sure!

Jeffrey Gilpin Jr.

Excellent atmosphere. Off the charts skiing. I'd like to see a newer chair lift. Plenty of terrian.

Lennart Nielsen

Amanda Smith

Great family oriented ski area.. Home away from home.

Andy Henckel

Great for kids, we love Sacajawea

Mary Jones

It can be hard to navigate, but once you figure out where you're going, it's a blast for all skill levels.

Gregor Axtell

Great atmosphere and it's not too far of a drive. Would have given 5 but the lodge gets ridiculously packed at lunch times and lift ticket prices are climbing steadily every year

Jared Pallo

It is lit

Colin Hanley

My favorite place to ski! They great great snow and are very affordable. Definitely try the Chili cheese Fries, they are awesome

Brady Cheeney

Best powder around!

Kajsa Anderson

Lucked into a powder day, and managed to rent the last available pair of wide demos. Signage on the slopes could be much better. The only thing that was signed well was the way back to the lodge, which admittedly is probably the most important.

Eric Poole

Travis Green

Family friendly mountain with awesome snowfall and a nice variety of terrain. Could use a few more black diamonds. Kitchen is efficient and prices are reasonable.

Jody Powell

Always a great day at lost trail

Megan Zegan

It's all in the name. Fresh powder here pretty much every weekend. Always stash spots left around. Great lodge food and amazing prices.

Kris Kazzee

Dusk Gaming

Amazing winter getaway

Scott Payne

Good snow with fun runs it's an older ski resort but none the less very fun to ski and snowboard.

Glen S

Apparently this is the only ski area around that will remove you from the hill if you try and sell a ticket at the hill. No not sell it for more than face value but less. I bought a pack of tickets earlier and have a few extras and when trying to sell them today a lady from the ticket office came out and told me that I cannot do this. Rude and not a friendly place at all. On top of that they charge full price on Thursday and Friday and intentionally keep two of the five chairs closed. Come on full price and close 40 percent of the hill, a big ripoff. Go elsewhere as there are better hills in this part of the state.

Dan Mcgrath

Good group of employees, very good snow, no lift lines = great day @ Lost trail ! Thank you, we will ski ya again.

Garry Gosnell

It's a great ski area, amazing powder. Many different runs for all levels of skiing

Patty Johncox

My brother skis here every year & adores this place. His kids have learned to ski here & have all advanced to supreme skiers with possibilities of Olympic Dreams. His daughters nickname is Peekaboo & 2 sons Bode & Ben. Lol U can't go wrong with this magical mini Aspen in the Bitterroots!! Have a speculative Tina yaall. Giddiup!!!!

Derek Miller

Best ski resort in Montana Wonderful snow and nice long runs. Plan to spend more than a day here.

Tom Zadick

TheStricken4321

Always powdery snow, incredible employees, and great terrain variety at an amazing price!

Jenny Paul

Yes yes and YES! Lift tickets are relatively inexpensive compared with other ski slopes in Montana ($49 bucks!!!). and the snow at Lost trail is AWESOME! There’s something about where they are located geographically that makes for the right kind of amazing for the perfect powder! Amazing views, a quaint lodge and super awesome ski patrol!

Nic Fowler

Love this place one of Montana's best kept secrets

Ray Conner

My favorite place to snowboard. Great terrain and even better people.
