We've got all the reviews of real people like you who consume the services of Farragut State Park (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to Idaho.
At present this firm gets a score of 4.7 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 684 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is nearly the best one, and it is founded on a very large number of reviews, so we can think that the evaluation is quite accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of State park.
Good camping area.
Gardner Peak is a 15 mile hike through deep forest and a few good viewing spots.
Tons to do in a gorgeous place
We came here a few weeks ago while we visited Silverwood and LOVED this state park! Theres so many nice trails and it is so accommodating and plenty of privacy! 10/10 would reccomend and would love to come visit again! We thought the museum was really nice as well!
So many hiking trails! Camping areas are roomy. They have Showers and real toilets! Beautiful green area and swimming at the very close by lake! Late at night the sky lights up with more stars than I have seen in a long time. A lot of history in the srea
Beautiful park is a must see when in North Idaho
A group of 6 of us made reservations in advance and when we arrived, they had us in 3 different camp areas. We had proof of confirmation but it didn’t matter. The people camping next to us had the same story. The trailers are parked on top of each other and there is no privacy. They have VERY STICT policies for a forest service campground. Would NEVER camp there again.
Always beautiful, hardworking staff, VERY popular place to visit. I love how they continue to preserve the naval history of the area.
Nice park, lots to see and do. Scenic!
Great campsites that are kept clean. Park is nice.
Nice park during the week! Not too many people!
Awesome cross country ski day 03 March! Weather cold and clear, trails excellent with good snow. Many thanks to Ranger Elena for loaning my daughter a pair of skiis since ours didn't work out. Thank you!
Nice big campground with lots of spots. Well taken care of. Rates seem high.
We camped here for a weekend in the Whitetail Campground. The park is huge. Things are very spread out which is nice but can be a little inconvenient. The regulars tended to bring bicycles to get around camp, which is smart. There is a great horseshoe style beach (Beaver Bay) but otherwise the shore is quite rocky (though the scenery is spectacular). There are lots of trails along the shore and they can be fun to explore. We had a very nice campsite that was quite private. Some others were not as private but most were pretty good. The campsite was very clean. The services are a little strange. For example the bathrooms were nice and clean but they don't provide any soap. Also you typically had to walk pretty far to get to them unless your campsite was very close. Also the dumpster was way far away so it was very inconvenient to dispose of trash. The playgrounds in the day use area were kind of sad--wish those were better. But these are all nitpicky points as the park and campgrounds are wonderful and it is evident that Idaho Parks and Rec takes a great deal of pride in them--as well they should.
Absolutely love this place to camp. My favorite park/camping spot nearby and their camp sites are clean, spread out, and pretty big. Highly recommend.
Great sites, fair prices. Loved it. Will definitely return.
We just visited this place today and found it extra-ordinarily beautiful and close to nature. Scenic views are awesome and it is just 1 hour of drive from my home location, I was surprised that why I didn’t get a chance to explore this …
Did not know what to expect, but it was a beautiful and huge space. Had 14 people and still had room. Super close to Silverwood and amenities. Absolutely loved it and the kids had an amazing time too. Ranger was very helpful and super friendly.
A very large park with large camping spaces. We were there on off season so the showers were closed. Bathroom were clean.
Great place to take the kids for adventures!
Such a beautiful place! We come back every Summer for a week long camping trip!
Lots of history and beautiful scenery. Love this place!
Lots of stuff to do! Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful and big state park! Easy to find from the highway. I've only explored the park in the winter so far, but there are some great trails and the staff at the visitor center are friendly and helpful. The snow cover is a great opportunity to look for wildlife tracks (spotted today: turkey, moose, and deer). I've only hiked but I think I might bring snowshoes next time.
While I thought this park was beautiful, we were very disappointed with our RV spot. We originally booked in Snowberry, but the lady said it wasn't a full hookup site so moved us to Gilmore. Gilmore was too out in open and hardly any trees around us. If we go here again we'll definitely be booking a site in Snowberry where there's trees are all around you.
Love this campsite!!! It is a gorgeous place to visit!!! Recommend to all my family and friends!!
Horrible! Out-of-state folks should definitely bypass this one. It's geared towards locals. Don't bother!!!
I loved this place and am planning on moving to Idaho from the nanny state of Washington. Beautiful and enchanting campground, beautiful Pens Orielle lake. Idaho actually trusts its citizens, its a Constitutional carry State! Thank you to the awesome staff there at the visitors center. If you move to Idaho from California or Washington you must leave the state's behind and not change Idaho because its perfect.
Wonderful location! So close to Silverwood Theme Park, Beautifully taken care of State Park in Idaho.
Love Farragut! So much to do, swimming, boating, fishing, disc golf, hiking, and more.
I love this place. Great campgrounds and full of history.
Beautiful place to visit with tons of history and places to explore
More like city camping, lots of sites ,crowded,! lots of rules,!dumpster are few, however nice area to explore with ample showers ,boat launches ,and amphitheater. programs for kids ,use of atvs, boats, bikes, everything that makes noise but , limited to 2 tents per site on prepared pads only, no hanging of anything, beattles are abundant at dusk.
Beautiful place, the $5 day fee was reasonable, the swimming area was perfect and we will definitely be back.
So many camp spots and things to do and see, yet her open and relaxed feeling. Keep driving and exploring.
This is an awesome Idaho state park with a wonderful Lake super deep amazing fishing separate loading dock for the boats little ways over is a dug human dug out pool swimming area that's in the lake but off to the side it's really quite nice I think you can buy the swimming pass for the day and then when you go camping it was like $19 or so a night per tent the campgrounds have showers and restrooms and then they have different campsites without showers and restrooms if you want to be more rugged
We had such a good time!! Great for dogs!!
Awesome camp ground. Extremely well kept. Disc golf courses are fun.
This is a great place to spend the day, good swim area and plenty of other places to go and explore . Hiking trails and camping near for over night stays
Very clean, full hookups in the section we stayed in. Secluded and peaceful.
It was a really great time with my family, I know we made some lasting memories. We will definitely be going back. Just make sure when you go do different activities, you drive! It seems like everything is close together, but it's not. Walking took up most of our time do we weren't able to do everything we planned.
Great experience exploring the park, it is truly awesome! Tons of recreational activities (camping, biking, swimming, hiking, tree-to-tree obstacle course with ziplines) gorgeous views and a fascinating history. Be sure to visit the museum! Highly recommended.
So many trails for hiking, biking and horse riding. The lake is magnificent.
It was a great time at cr campout
Easy power hook ups, great amenities, level camp spots, HUGE areas to roam.
Great views and clean trails.
Great place for all outdoor activities like Hiking, Swimming, Boating and Camping!
Beautiful park well treed and very clean. Only 20 mins from Silverwood.
Clean, well managed park, with beauty everywhere you look
Extremely clean and well kept. Lots of trails and things to see and do. Loved our stay.
Great place to walk the dog through the woods and along the lakeshore.
Beautiful location. Lots of opportunities for recreation. Definitely want to plan your stay in advance. Pretty busy.
Beautiful state park in North Idaho along the shores of Lake Pend O'reille
Such a beautiful place!
Wonderful cross country skiing.
Awesome park to camp in but you need to book early to get the sites you want. Also the boat launch facility is very nice and big. So if you are new to boating I would recommend it. It is a lot of less stress to get your boat in and out of the water.
Pretty, Great Views, Excellent Camping and facilities. Kind staff, good service. Overall, a great and not too expensive time. Very reasonably priced.
A great place to spend a nice weekend at
Our favorite park in Idaho. Lots to do and see.
Little piece of paradise, love it there.
Very informational! The docents in the Brig Museum were very helpful and great with the kids! I never knew that there had been a naval base way up here, so far inland. The kids had a great time swimming in Beaver Bay while the adults relaxed onshore listening to the wind blow through the pines. Disc golf is a big thing here. A great trip!
Love horse camping at Farragut
Peaceful, very quiet, no interruption. Have my fingers crossed that this peace will continue.
Disc Golf courses A plenty and much more. Historic Naval Base turned into a State Park. What a great family experience whether boating, road course adventuring or biking etc... If your family enjoys the outdoors then THIS is the place to go. Great options for a Full day or more with the many campgrounds also, yikes.
Kind ragers and fun place to do all sorts of out door activities.
Why wouldn't anyone love this place! It's just so beautiful. It's my heaven.
Tried the new section in the Gilmore campground. It was great. Lots of mature trees, full hookups, passed roads and parking areas, gravel pad with metal picnic table and metal fire pit with grate. Camp hosts are friendly and keep the grounds near and clean. Wonderful weekend trip, will definitely stay there again.
Stayed one night. Good place to camp in a RV. Would have been better if the showers had not been closed for the season.
Lots of camps sites and beautiful trails.
Although I did not explore the entirety of this park, I can say that it has a very nice cross country trail, for the local high school cross country team.
Clean Grounds, Well kept trails. Lots of activities. I really enjoy riding into Bayview from here. Buttonhook is a beautiful area to hike. Love the cove. Return here lots of times every year. Get a year pass for parking!
What can I say. It is a beautiful well kept park.
My family lives visiting this park. There is so o much to explore. We like to walk the orienteering course, go biking on the trails, swim in the lake, go on long hikes, play disc golf, and shoot at the range. We can almost always find some good mushrooms too.
Beaver Bay was perfect for kayaking!
An awesome place to camp.
We enjoyed it it has lots of places to explore
Had an absolute amazing time here camping in Gilmore loop. 5 disc golf courses, nice beach, super clean water to swim in. Great facilities hot showers and flush toilets. All sites in this loop are paved. Star gazing was outstanding. Only 10min to Silverwood. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful park. Trails are well maintained.
Amazing sights and fun lake.
Brilliantly maintained park with huge lots, tons of trees, great trails and different types of beach access. We had no difficulty finding an empty place to pump up SUPs and to launch with pups. Gorgeous park, no real cell service other than visitor center.
one of the best campgrounds I've found, however my rating has gone down thanks to the snarky attitudes of anybody at the front desk. Whether you are there in person or especially if you call you will be treated poorly. I have yet to interact with a member of the front desk that didn't act like they didn't want to be there. I'm still coming back though -- you only have to interact with them once and the campsite is very well maintained. Their attitudes definitely shouldn't just be glossed over though
I spend most of my time out on the water with a kayak, so I can't say much about the trails, but from my experiences in the park and on the water accessible from the park shore I can say it's a great place to try out with a kayak, the fishing is nice, due to the Lakes size it can be a bit overwhelming to fish in, but yeah, awesome place
We love this place. This was our first time camping here but not our first time visiting the park. It’s a great place to play! We camped at Gilmore and it was great. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. The grounds were well maintained and the sites were paved and level. So easy! Just a few mins to Beaver Bay and the boat launch. There are tons of biking/hiking trails through the entire park and you can access them from any of the campgrounds. Absolutely love having this place on our backyard. Such a gem!
The lady was very racist we told her that we saw a lot of empty spaces and she still say NO. She was not going to let is stay. She was in her early 40's very rude with attitude
It's a great park
This was a great park for us since we were going to do several things near there. We went to a few mines, SILVERWOOD of course, exploring on back roads, Lake Cour’d’lane & more. The park was nice
I love this place and visit this park each year.
Beautiful frisbee golf courses. Got our engagement photos done here. Gorgeous trails and crystal clear waters. Beauty bay is aptly named. Great camp grounds as well with clean campsites.
It is beautiful, relaxing, and has lots of history. There are many things to do. The campsites are wonderful iui l.
Absolutely beautiful state park!!
Farragut is a great state park in general and a disc golfer's paradise. The park has a great day use facility and a ton of camp grounds for all types of camping. It has become something of a Mecca for disc golfers, with 5 courses ranging from a family friendly 9 hole to quite technical full courses. I love that these course have some open fairways that allow you to air out your arm and go for some big throws. There is also an interesting museum covering the naval history of the area as well as some old ruined buildings from the days when Farragut was a Navy training ground. There are plenty of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Farragut has a little something for everyone. Definitely worth checking out.
Great place something for everyone.
Great campground clean extremely well maintained. We pull a 5th wheel and this park has an enormous amount of pull through sites. Staff is fun friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the park. Great prices especially for all the eminenties
We came here not expecting anything like what we got. What a beautiful state park! Clean, awesome views, great trails and a campsite beyond any other. The camp hosts take their job seriously and our site was raked, leaf blown and the picnic table was disinfectanted. We enjoyed the trails and all the activities surrounding the park. The office folks worked with us as far as staying a couple days extra and the other campers were so friendly. So glad we chose this park to stay in.
A gem. Between the lake, the trails, sitting in camp, the surrounding area of Hayden and Cour d' Alene I could spend all summer here.
I worked at Farragut State Park for two summers and while not a guest I feel qualified to express my opinion. Everyday visitors would tell me how clean the park was. The staff worked very quickly to rectify any situation that was brought to the attention of park employees. The views from many easily accessible areas are breath taking. To many plusses to list and no negatives to think of.
This is a great place to camp!
Beautiful, but the state REALLY needs to do a better job about enforcing the parking. Lots of cars parked in the vehicle and trailer spots and in the boat prep lane making it difficult to park with your trailer. I also wish there was a higher out of state fee to better fund improvements and reduce some traffic. Over all a nice launch and beautiful scenery. We will be back.
We stayed at the Gilmore campsite. We loved it. Wide open space for the kids and dogs. Quiet yet not so quiet your kids can't be kids. The bathrooms and showers were nice. Our host was great.
Best rest in the West.
The Museum at the Brig was awesome and very interesting. The gals in the JR ranger room were amazing. The beach at Beaver Bay was crowded but still fun.
We stayed here Sept. 2018...loved it! We booked too late to get a july 2019 campsite.
Bernard mountain great mound bike trail
Great campground - quiet and not too crowded.
awesome place great trails
Beautiful park, wonderful trail sets and fantastic day use horse area!!
Absolutely beautiful. So many trails, so much to explore.
One of our favorite places to camp! Lots of options for every kind of camper. Beautiful area.
Great place for a glamping stay. Very quiet.
BEAUTIFUL walk with my son, gorgeous views, wildlife, sailboats on the water & peace & quiet not found often.
Great place to go horse back riding. Beautiful!
Has only gotten way better over the years. So many improvements!!!
Awesome to bike ride, go to lake, disc golf, zip line, rope coarse....what else? Museum etc... get out there!
Great historical campground. A lot of World War II history here.
Good bike and hiking trails. Hardly any trash on the ground.
Tree to tree was great fun and a confidence builder for the kids
A gem!! Super clean restrooms and hot water for showers. We loved all the trails.
Beautiful park with so much to do in evert season.
Beautiful lake and surrounding
Love it, beautiful state park camping, hiking, boating, restaurants and stores within 5 miles.
The facility was five star. It's maintained as well or better than any other Campground I've ever been to. The process for checking in however, seems convoluted and a bit discouraging. I was sent to my car twice for information should have been posted somewhere that I needed. Even better, would be to revamp the check-in process so that it never involves leaving my car in a place that I couldn't see it to get the license plate number, and either posting that I also needed the Idaho camping pass or having the check in location in such a way that the attendance could have me pull forward slightly and see it. Worst of all, the attendance got a bit snippy when I didn't have the information that they needed and had to return to the car twice to get it.
Beautiful state park, and its disc golf courses are very enjoyable.---well worth the state park fee for the park entry! Recommend sturdy footwear for the various terrain and paths.
Very beautiful place, so many trails to run
Really liked it. The trails could be better marked out on how to get back to campsites etc. Had a few detours.
A very pretty park that is full of history and views( and a few fishing spots) that used to be a old naval base would recommend to anyone that hikes, swim, definitely camps and fishes with the addition of bicyclist
Great place, huge lake to do whatever water activity you choose to do, lots of history there with the old Navy Museum to explore the history of one of the Naval bootcamps during WW2.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, even in the rain. Only complaint is the cabins have a vault toilet without a mirror tho be found, while the group cabin site had plumbing :-(
Always an enjoyable time here
Quiet and beautiful when we walked through
Beautiful area! Very large lots of different parts to explore.
It's a great and we'll kept state park! Not the prettiest looking as it's rather flat and dry. Instead what makes it so great is the wealth of things to do. You've got pleasant trails to bike and walk along, a small beach to enjoy, multiple …
Great park! The girl in the office who checked us in was rude and not very informative. She didn’t offer us a map or inform us where are camp spot was. We had arrived early for check in and apparently that was confusing to her. Luckily, the camp hosts were wonderful and very helpful. On the second day we went into the office to get information on the trails within the park and these 2 older ladies were delightful! Camp spots are large and very clean.
Cool State Park, old Navy submarine training center
Always a wonderful place to visit.
Great camping, beautiful spots to set up, clean and we'll maintained. Great staff!
We love this park. It's only a few miles away. We take our dogs by the boat launch so they can swim and cool off. I use to run all the trails. You have to remember that even though it's a "park" wildlife are still present. It should be no surprise to see deer or see cougar tracks in the dirt or sand. The animals don't know! As we were running, we've seen a bobcat and a wolverine. We high tailed it out of there! It's nature at its best!
Really beautiful park. Camped with my group in the group area. Very lovely. Lots of rangers checking things. The single camping seems really cramped and I wouldn't reccomend that. Might as well be at an RV camp. Don't skimp on paying the fee. They will find u. The beach area was really nice and pretty dead when I went. Note that the camping areas arent close to the water.
Check in was a nightmare but rest of time there was great . Went for a family reunion.
I LOVE this place. The disc golf courses are a plenty and well maintained. Beaver Bay is the spot in the summer and the new ropes course looks AWESOME.
Very pretty park, wish I had time to check out the biking trails
It was a great place to camp. And the lady at the office was super nice and helpful. She made the stay so much better
$5.00 entry fee and it's worth every dollar and more. Beautiful views and it wasn't very busy it has nice camping, swimming, hiking, and biking areas. Make sure to grab a map of the park because it's huge and you might get a little lost.
Great place to get out and walk, plenty of walking trails suitable for all, there are some stairs and steep grades, but there is plenty of other trails if you so desire, from very short to very long.
Beautiful this year with the cooler temps everything is so green and peaceful in the campground.
We rented cabins up here for two nights and the people at the Visitor Center were so rude and disrespectful to me and my family. And while helping a customer right next to us they addressed "we've had nothing but rude customers today" and looked at us. The lady who said we could later switch the name on the cabin told us we couldn't when we went back down there and acted like she didn't remember us. I dont know how to describe them without going to extreme levels, so I'm going to leave it at that.
Best state park in Idaho. Something for everyone. Good staff
"Button hook" offers a great little gathering place for boats. Good area for hiking and tent camping too, has nice bathrooms that are open seasonally. Would recommend!
Farragut has three of the best disc golf courses around. And for only $7 bucks for parking.
Beautiful park. The tent sites are top notch for camping!
Beautiful lake. Nice boat ramp.
Really enjoyed the facilities but had a hard time getting info about them and my cabin didn't have showers within walking distance it was a several minute car ride
Snow shoe delight. Loved the views and quiet. Not bad for March 10th!!!
Amazing. Some campgrounds are far from the lake.
Equestrian Trails are THE BEST!
Another GREAT Idaho State Park. A great part of the lake. We were there in mid-October and saw some great fall colors on display. We did an easy scenic hike along the Shore Line Trail and a picnic lunch afterwards. We look forward to our next visit here
Very open and tons of different areas to check out. The camp spots are average size water and electric hook up, picnic bench and fire pit. Showers close by. Lots of families and kids running around.
One of my favorite places to visit and take my family swimming.
Multiple fun outdoor activities for everyone!
