Directions: Take Fall Ave E. to Hankins Rd (3200E) and go north. Take a left on Cheney Dr. Follow road to the right all the way to the end. It has a huge area at the end to turn around if you are pulling a trailer. The road is not bad and only a few bumpy spots.

History attempted but unfortunately not completed due to a mechanical malfunction not of Bobby Knievel's doing, as it was reported. Evel was a total badass and needed a wheelbarrow to carry his balls around in! Much respect to the man who single-handedly created "extreme sports". Although he passed away in 2007, he is still missed tremendously. Rest in peace, Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel. Still riding a Harley-Davidson XR-750 and still impressing everyone in Heaven True American Hero!

Jessica Moore

Cool for Knievel fans! Hallowed grounds of an American legend. Difficult to find because I got mixed directions.

Ray Cook

Excel tried to jump snake river. Twinn Falls is an interesting area.

Malina Duff

Nice sign with information. Big dirt hill for running up and down. Road to drive there isn't in best condition. Can also reach it walking on nice trail.

Evel was a childhood legend, icon, and hero. The fact you have to do a 3 mile round trip hike makes the site even better.

Fisher Dank

Beautiful area!

Ariel Kestler

Nice walk, if you start from Shoshone Falls it's very steep. If you go off of pole line road it's easier. Both are over a mile. Not alot to see, just a dirt hill with a sign. But the trail is beautiful canyon views and Shoshone Falls

Fun little walk. My grandson (15) loved it!! Very interesting.

Currently accessible via Shoshone Falls trail however, hopefully, within the next year (2017), the trail will be completed from Community Center Twin Falls and heading east all the way to Shoshone Falls. (The trail is complete, you can now go on the trail from visitors center to Shoshone Falls past Evil Knievel’s ramp, great job MaVTEC)

Mike Hamann

I love this place because it's really a part of history from my childhood. Using Maps, drive down the closest road then drive down dirt road SLOWLY. Walk about 100 yards to the ramp. A great hidden gem.

Tina H.

They have a amazing trail that is wheelchair friendly that leads to the ramp and past other picture perfect views, take water to drink it is a long paved trail.

K SLIM

Was an awesome trail and view... Wish I had my drone to get some better Arial view.

Lots of potential here once the city has money to do something with it. Great views of the canyon. Midpoint between trailhead and Shoshone falls.

The jump site itself isn't much to see but the walk to it is fabulous. The scenery of the canyon and the tranquility of the country atmosphere (while it lasts) is amazing. Unfortunately home construction is starting soon and some of that scenery will be gone. It's about a mile walk from the parking lot but it's an easy walk on an asphalt walking path. Stay on the path though because both sides are private property.

Gorgeous view

Jacob&Genelyn Nestler

Grant Feichtinger

Interesting history and nice views, but it’s basically a mound of dirt. Go to Shoshone Falls a little farther down the path.

Jayden Vaughan

It's like a 3 mile hike, but it's worth it.

Felipe Gonzalez

Joshua Furman

Needs more green! But the walk was great.

Marc H Price

Nice paved trail to get you to the launch site, with views of Pillar Falls.

Penny Baslee

Miranda Thomason

This site could be developed so more people could enjoy it. There is an empty field and fences in front of the part that could be a parking lot. The only other way is to walk the trail. There is no mention of the site that I saw. It is if the town was not aware that the Smithsonian channel is showing the site on Aerial America Idaho. We attempted to find the site and had to go to the Welcome Center for a map to the site. It was a map to the near by falls and the staff wrote directions on the falls map for us. GPS kept taking us on routes a car couldn't get to.

Denise Barlock

Absolutely fantastic place to visit!!! First one gets to see what Evel Knievel built to attempt to go across the canyon and then there is a WONDERFUL trail to see the beautiful canyon and Shoshone Falls. This is a must visit site!

Susan Copeland

Beautiful walking trail with gorgeous views.

Paul Garrett

Vanessa Chambers

This was so fun to go see. It was a little hard to find, but worth it!!

Jason Clements

Very cool place to visit.

Rusty Kelly

It was a little hard to find! Google Maps takes you on a little "Goose Chase"! But after asking a Local, I was pointed in the right direction! They dont like to advertise the access to it, due to surronding private properies. It was a great experience though!

This place is great for the view at the top. The mound itself isn't that good looking, but it is the amazing history around the place and what happened there that make it worth traveling to.

The beauty is truely amazing. Well kept secret.

kris espino

Beautiful views of the Shoshone Falls

Tracy Chelini

Great trail to walk with alot of scenic views

Trina Hernandez

Don't follow Google maps. It's ok no big deal.

Gordon Latimer

It is a mile or so walk from the closest parking lot. But the path is new asphalt and is an easy walk to the site. Do keep pets on a leash as in places it is a straight drop to the bottom.

Wowza

What a blast ! I sure would like to know what happened to the Michigan Bickers , we were pepper sprayed then taken to jail . But in Twin Falls , the People and Police were as nice as could be , two thumbs up for Twin Falls Idaho ! I love that place , made front page alongside of Evel Knievel when some maniac in a jeep past our campsite , the Jeep had a Corvette Engine . flipped over backwards at the top of a huge steep hill , I was lucky , a guy from Mass. was taken into surgery , his spleen was removed . Two Others were knocked out when they got on the back of the jeep just as he pulled a wheelie . This was at a fire where people would douse the back wheels of there bikes in Gasoline , we left after a guy and his bike were doused in Gas , jumped and exploded , but everyone there was fearless and put him out , no damage , the bike looked a bit toast . One hell of a time , That Rocket almost hit us , we were on the cliff , screaming at Evel not to get out , he almost did ! Great Time . More should Post , a beer truck was stopped , all beer was passed out to all the maniacs camped by the Falls . how many are still alive ? Misfit Nation , Bickers wore Colors and there were no fights !

Lisa Whitten

Cool place to visit and wonder what Evel Knievel was thinking when he said he would jump the canyon.

Melissa Frye

We didn't realize you could drive to it... We walked 2 miles one way on a very hot day. Better signage and info for visitors.

Brian Dible

Jonnie Hodder

Just a mound of dirt. View of Shoshone Falls was worth the hike. And the only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star

Steve Champ

Jesus and Moses will be there soon !!

Darrel,Spunky Vulgamore

Different...like wow cool

bill groth

It was great to find out that one of my childhood heroes had been here, although unable to make it across. I moved here 6 yrs ago and live 2 miles from the jump site. Friends and family from MI that come to visit are shown this.

Ron Dingwall

Great view of the Snake River and canyon ftom the top of the jump. Good photos of the bridge, South Hills, and valley scenery in the distance. The access road was recently closed, but may reopen for better access to families.

Corey Smalley

Great view and a learning experience for all to learn a little about twin falls and evel knieval

Carol Hill

Great trail for a casual stroll! Beautiful scenery

Scott Shumway

It is a 1.3 mile hike from the Shoshone Falls State Park parking lot. The monument itself is interesting but the views are the best part. There is also an informative sign at the monument that talks about the jump and Evel Knievel. Make sure to bring a water bottle if you hike to the monument.

Tony Hall

Great place to take the kids...everyone loves Evel Kenivel

Brett Harrison

Amazing to stand on a piece of Knievel history

Mike Porter

Rachael Stanton

Beautiful trails and river! Lots of wildlife.

Reggie Dee

Amazing view

Beverly Shook

It's a great trail to run, walk, ride your bike. Beautiful views and quiet.

Ky Christensen

This is the place where Evel attempted the jump...or rather the rocket bike fly over the canyon.

Pam Merxbauer

Amazing! Hard to find, we had to ask the lady at toll booth at Shoshone Falls for driving directions. Found it right away then! Worth the trip....and what a view! Google maps needs to get this location updated!! (The State just recently purchased the site from private parties) Absolutely no complaints!!!!

Tim Knight

Very KOOL place!
