I love being out in the outdoors and this place has breathtaking views, excellent hiking for families, novice hikers as well as advanced hikers. There is mountain biking trails galore and lots of spots to take your ATV's and dirt bikes. We love playing in the reservoir. You can bring boats and jet skis or bring canoes, kayaks and paddle boards there is enough room for everyone and it is a beautiful and big reservoir. This is a must see visit in Idaho so make a plan to visit it soon.

Beautiful, breathtaking views. I would strongly recommend a trip to cooler weather. There are trails and abundance of wildlife to view, birds, squirrels, so much more. Dogs on leash always welcome. The people I met were friendly and welcoming willing to share information on sites and services.

Amazing scenery! Kinda crowded but the hike to the cave is beautiful! The trees are nice and green and wildlife is plentiful. Expect to see squirrels and chipmunks. Great place to take the family! Amazing Natl. Forest, one of the best I have seen. Truly a beautiful sight.

Too many out of state campers that have no problem setting up camp 20 feet from someone else and running around on 4wheelers all day and night then running their generator all night 10 feet from your tent. Most fro. A state I can't say but starts with the letter U.

Classic ski area for locals. The snow is amazing and the lift lines are short. Accommodations are not the super fancy but they are clean and decent. The snow is some of the best around. Literally some of the best powder around. You can also rent the fat tire bikes and do other activities if you aren’t into skiing.

The park is along the Palisade Lake. There are plenty of campsites. Some of them have bathrooms. My favorite part is between mileage marker 400 and 401. There are dirt roads off road to the beach. It's a sandy beach. People drive their motorhomes down and stay over night. No outhouses. This part is perfect for body boards, etc. There are other turn offs with boat ramps.

Always so much fun to get out in nature! Bear Gulch is such a fun hike! If you are in the Ashton area and are looking for something to do, definitely do this hike. It is so pretty and you can see the old train tunnel the train used to go through!

I absolutely love coming to the forest! The views are amazing! You will find plenty of trails for whatever kind of activity you are looking to do. Most of the trails are intended for vehicles under 50 inches wide, so larger side by sides could have trouble fitting. But don't worry, there are plenty of fun roads to drive down that almost any vehicle can travel. This forest has plenty of great places for fishing, just be sure to check the regulations before you go so you don't end up with a ticket from fish and game. The Caribou-Targhee forest also has plenty of places to go camping. Make sure you plan ahead because many popular areas are always busy. This is a great place to visit!

We hiked the lower palisades lake trail. Very beautiful in the spring. The river is raging around that time though so if you have wandering littles, keep a close eye on them. There was a lot of wildlife and flowers so it was a beautiful place to hike.

Idaho is one of the USA's truly hidden gems. I had always imagine this place to be a flat potato farm and it couldnt be further from the truth.
