Customer service to setup lessons is terrible. Guest services manager is equally terrible. Decided to go instead to Bogus because Brundage on the phone is bad enough that I wouldnt ever want to step foot on their mountain let alone have one of their staff teach a new person. Multiple reviews recently show bad management, unclean facilities, and moldy food. Not the experience I'd want my friend that's never been before to have as their first experience. My phone experience was bad enough I won't ever visit this mountain 'resort.' Gladly take my business to Bogus.

I liked the runs and they were well groomed. However, I have never seen a more understaffed and poorly organized resort. There was a line of about 50 people to get lift tickets and only one window was open. And, it only got worse when we went to the ski rental shop. There was no signage, no space for lines because it was jammed into the gift shop, and completely disorganized.

My children have LOVED learning to snowboard & ski here! My girls spent all day on the mountain in their group lesson and barely ate their lunch because they were so excited to go back out with their instructors. Honestly, this is truly a family friendly resort committed to helping you start a fantastic addiction to these lifetime sports.

Corbin Simonsen

Really awesome. I wish they didn't cancel the snow

Logan Staples

Generally has the best snow out of the three resorts within driving distance of Boise. If you go on a weekday lines are basically nonexistent. Nice runs and nice natural jumps with lots of powder. My favorite areas are between main and north and between north and hidden valley on the main chair. If things are cut up try checking the lakeview bowl chair because a lot less people make it over there.

Such a great place to ski.

Slopes are amazing and the shop is nice

Super fun. Sometimes it's hard to see but that's just ski resorts. I wish there were more runs but it is still always fun!

Eric Kollmann

My favorite resort. The snow here stays cold and powder is good for a few days instead of a few hours. Grooming is always better here too. The ridges between passes are minimal compared to a certain ski area close to Boise...

Rentals line is a complete mess

The staff was very accomadating and knowledgable. They made sure i got the best deals and the best Ski instructors. Everyone there loves to ski as well and are very patient with newbies. Excellent staff.Thank you all for making these last weekends wonderful. See you soon.

Great slopes! Skiing on Christmas! Loved it! Well groomed! Very nice staff. Short lines. Lots of options when it comes to which run you want to take. Absolutely amazing view from the top! Only thing is the green slopes are not that easy for beginners. I taught my family to ski on the little practice slope and then when I felt they were doing well and needed more of a challenge, we decided to run a green slope. It was so hard for them (even I knew they were hard for a green slope and I run black diamonds) the whole place and experience was unforgettable, but if you are new to skiing, it's either the way too easy starters slope at the bottom or the "almost Impossible" green slope for the beginner. But the family still enjoyed it.

Great place, great people.

The power was down the time when I was here the first time. It made the entire check in process a bit confusing at the beginning. But the staff here are very nice. They helped me through out the tidious process. Including renting the equipment and check in my group lesson. I was the 'biggest student' in the class. All others four students at kids except me. There are three instructors helping. I forgot my instructor name. Because he didn't have the name tag on. But he's helpful. First round we learned how to fall correctly, skate forward only, J-in & out. The second round we practice J in & out by taking over the entire hill, third round we learned a little skate forward but facing the opposite way. Then I spend the second half day learning how to featuring. All on the entry level hill. It was perfect mix of technical and self-exploratory. The only thing I wish could be better is the dinning area. It was like a train station or a camp for a battle field.

Brundage is by far the best ski resort I've been to. The staff is wonderful and friendly, the medical team is very quick and professional(Another story), the runs themselves are phenomenal assuming the conditions are right and the mountain has enough terrain to last all week. I HIGHLY recommend this for beginners or advanced skiers/snowboarders/other. The bunny hill(Beginners) is large enough to learn quickly and safely. They even have a separate location for snowmobiling! 5 stars :)

Joshua Weller

Nice resort. I believe they are understaffed due to a few problems now and then. Don't be too hard on them. They are doing fine.

Great Skiing. Love it.

We took 4 kids up for the day mountain biking for all of our first times, such an awesome place to go! From the staff downstairs to the staff that helped us get set up upstairs and the guys on the mountain, they were all amazing!!! Super friendly and helpful it made our day that much more enjoyable! Couldn’t have asked for better customer service!! Beautiful place to go enjoy the day on the mountain! We’ll be back!

Jason Standley

Beautiful day. Powder was great.

Daniel Hoffman

Understaffed with no organization. Drive up the mountain is only 20 minutes but takes an hour plus as there is absolutely no effort to direct traffic which results in a free for all in the parking lot and people parking taking up 2 spaces. Great mountain, but bad resort.

Mike Montgomery

Andy N.

This mountain has nice wide runs. However those lifts (bear and centennial) are fast! Maybe I'm not used to it but dang those things haul @ss. Definitely will be returning. I also wish their restaurant area was bigger to meet the demands of all the people flooding in. Along with more parking.

Rob Bozzuto

I had a bad experience here a couple winters ago. I went with the intention of skiing for the day but after a couple runs it was to foggy and the snow wasn't that great so I decided to eat lunch and go home. I went to the bar and ordered a sandwich and a beer when I looked at my bank statement I noticed that the waitstaff added some gratuity without me knowing. I cleared it up with the bank and disputed it. I let them know the correct charge since it was $5 additional and the resort called me too. I had checked my statement the next week and they added $7.50 instead of the $5. Really you guys???? At this point I refused the charge entirely to my bank. No more eating here or using my debit card here. Ive never had this type of experience anywhere.

We had our wedding in July 2019 at Brundage. The location is absolutely stunning and the chairlift ride to the Summit Ceremony site is hard to beat. The line staff was amazingly kind and helpful, as well (Sam especially). That being said, the communication between myself and catering was a challenge (we reserved our wedding date in August 2018, but did not receive a call or email back from Michael, Tracy, or Leesa until June 2019 - yes, one month before the wedding). Leesa Johnson was an absolute nightmare to work with, and the weeks leading up to the wedding were filled with repeat emails (copy-pasted) and no return calls to myself or my photographer. The day of the wedding, Leesa (the Event Coordinator) told my Maid of Honor that she was leaving at 2 (our ceremony started at 3:30). When I went to ask Leesa why she was leaving before any event actually happened, she snapped at me, then later came into the Bridal area to be quippy with me as I was getting ready on my wedding day. Overall, Brundage Mountain Resort is absolutely beautiful, but they seriously need rethink their communication, and Leesa Johnson. No woman deserves to cry out of frustration on her wedding day, and Leesa does not seem to care about event coordination anymore than a penguin cares about the Sahara Desert.

Always great skiing and beautiful views from the Lakeview Bowl. Definitely my favorite place to ski in Western Idaho. There are almost never lift lines and when there are, it's a 1 minute wait. Max. That probably isn't the case on a holiday or weekend right after a total dump of snow, but I was there once right after about 9 new inches came, and it wasn't too busy at all. Definitely a great place to ski or ride with your squad. There are some special spots on this mountain too as long as you know where to look.

Dawson Gorges

Great variety of terrain, not horribly crowded, great lodge. Damn near perfect

Arturo Calderon

Esta bien divertido para venir de y para vivir también

Jennifer Hasenoehrl

Loved the summer lift experience for hiking purposes. The attendants even asked if they needed to slow the lift down at the top for exiting assistance. One suggestion for visitors since their website for lift tickets does not explain this clearly, visit the lodge first to get a printout of your e-ticket. This is a free and needed service since the lift itself is not e-ticket friendly (yet...though suggestion for upcoming improvements for customer experience??). Tons of wildflowers and a great view of Payette Lake to the south from the top. Hikers are not allowed on bike trails; however, bikers are allowed on the road (only hiking trail). Please watch out as not all bikers slow down, have bells or announce themselves coming down behind you! There are biting flies and lots of birds to listen to while exploring!

A great resort. They have the lifts that go quick, and very rarely slow or stop. There is a large range of difficulty on runs. There is also good powder and mogels just off the groomed runs so that if you are with someone less experienced you can stay in sight of them without being bored. The staff at the rental shop are very helpful. I went in to see if they had used kids skis I could buy. Although they didn't they told me where else I could look and said to come back if I couldn't find any. The down side is their cafeteria really got worse with the remodel. We used to buy food as a special treat. Now we bring food because it's better than the food there.

John Stevens

Bring your family and friends, especially if they don't like lift lines.

My 6 year old daughter took lessons to learn to ski and loved it! She had multiple lessons with two different instructors both of which were great. The lift operators on the beginner slopes are fantastic. She enjoyed getting some hot French Fries in the lodge at the end of the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I can’t say enough good about our time at the Resort!!!

Wandervans Campervans

Always great skiing and a nice selection of trails for all levels. The beginner lift is free and there is overnight parking.

I have been very impressed with the lodge, ski terrain, chairlifts, food and the extremely friendly staff on two separate visits to Brundage this season. My daughter took her first ski lesson at Brundage in December, and then we had an opportunity to come back today when she had another private lesson with the same instructor. The instructor had been so great with my daughter on our first visit that we requested her this time and were fortunate to get her again. All of their staff that we encountered on both visits were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. It is evident that these people take pride in their resort and it shows. The terrain seems to have something for everyone, including some of the best learning runs on the Bear Chair that I have seen anywhere. To top it off, the mountain is very affordable and has fantasric snow conditions almost every time I've been there! The town of McCall is also a fun base camp for your ski vacation, offering a small town atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and other activities for families to enjoy. Brundage should definitely be on your short list of northwest ski destinations!

Richard Noordam

Great ski mountain, with a very family oriented atmosphere. If I lived closer I'd have a season pass!

john mccampbell

Idaho powder and lots of it.

Spencer Henderson

Fantastic Ski resort. The lodge is really large and has everything from food to beer. The lifts are large and comfortable and easily fit a family. There are a wide variety of lifts and different slopes for all levels. Only reason to dock a star was because the a day lift cost is excessive. Over $50 a person. If the lift tickets were even 10% less I would have given 5 stars.

Beau Garland

Went there between Christmas and New Year's and was impressed. 5 min max wait lines on a bluebird holiday day with fresh powder. Snow quality is excellent and the tree skiing is unparalleled. Staff was very friendly. Less known, but feels like one of the great ski resorts.

Luke Litwiller

Had the most fun of my life here..

paul evans

Skied here in the 90's and it was fantastic, even when snowing and low visibility. Stayed in Mc.Call both trips took the shuttle to the mountain after a slide in a hire car on the way down. Friends in Idaho still ski here mid week.

Joshua Swift

Biggest waste of money...went with my child and her school to this place and I will never waste my money there again. The staff was unfriendly and got mouthy with the children and half the time the instructers were too busy to even help the children. The people there were a bunch of californians who as well felt as though could talk down on the children. NOT A FAMILY PLACE AT ALL. Id rather go ANYWHERE before this trash dump little tiny mountain. BOGUS IS WAY BETTER, SHOOT ID RATHER DRIVE TO BEND WHERE PEOPLE ARE NICE AND FRIENDLY.

McKenzie Christensen

A H.U.G.E. thank you to Brundage Mountain Resort and the amazing resort staff for hosting another fabulous summer of free concerts. This year was special to us because we got to introduce our 1-year-old to the mountain (and I am pretty sure Jeff Crosby is now his favorite). He learned some new dance moves and got to stay up past his bedtime. As someone who has planned a number of events, I really respect the time, attention to detail and atmosphere created at Brundage. I love seeing all of the families camped out on the lawn making memories and new friends. Thank you for providing an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy great music!

David W

Nice folks, good food, and spectacular views of the Sawtooth range!

Curtis Gonzales

Wrecked the day! The snow was amazing knee-deep powder! But the Lakeview porta potty was completely full and wrecked the day. The general mountain bathroom facility hygiene was disgusting and unhealthy. I have been going to the “Best Snow in Idaho” for 25 years. Completely disappointed. Fix this.

I live in colorado and the snow and resort here is way better. Brundage has runs for every ski level, as well as tons of powder and groomed runs. When brundage says they have the best snow in Idaho they are not lying!

Sam Burd

Josh Begin

One of the best resorts to hit after a snowstorm. We went there on a weekday after 6 inches overnight, and I couldn't believe that there was still fresh powder on the last run of the day. I've snowboarded in many places out west and this was at the top of my list. Not quite as extreme terrain as Snowbird (UT), but the lack of people more than made up for that. Will definitely try to get back there someday.

Randy Vannoy

Went up for the ice festival and rode the ski lift to the top. Great view.

Thor Bryan

It's always great skiing on Brundage Mountain, but I wanted to give recognition to the fantastic service I received from the ski shop just this past weekend. I was wanting to demo skis, and got excellent advice and care from all the folks, especially Spencer. If you're looking to buy or upgrade, they'll steer you right onto the most fun and appropriate equipment. Highly recommended!

Consistently some of the best snow anywhere. Biased as I’ve been on two sticks at Brundage going on 40 years. Glad I got a piece of February 2019 - 12’ of epic IdaPOW.

Jim Corbet

NO Terrain park. over crowded. powder gone by noon.

I'm here for my spring break and I could not have asked for a better week. The views are beautiful, the snow is like mashed potatoes and the staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. I'd definitely rent from Brundage for the convenience.

Scott Walker

Best kept secret in skiing.

Audrey Kennedy

Gorgeous and easy drive to the resort from McCall. They had wonderful snow and despite it being one of their busiest days of the year, I never had to wait TOO long and the runs never felt TOO crowded.

H Waters

Jeff Nelson

Did a Snow Cat trip on Feb. 26, 2012 and it was phenomenal. Guides were very interactive and engaged with all the guests. The terrain was even better, and the snow was even better then anything else. We knocked out 13 runs in knee deep powder and never saw another track the entire day. I will definitely be back.

Webbyn Mason

Brundage is fun, the employees are very helpful and nice...but the food, drinks etc are VERY expensive...so if you are planning a trip to Brundage be prepared to have fun and take extra money Lol. Thanks Brundage for being AWESOME.

Robert Noirjean

Don't eat here. Great place to ski but the food over the last two years has been bad. Last year we gave up on Smokeys Grill and went upstairs to the cafeteria to grab a hot dog but their prepackaged rolls were all moldy. It was gross! The worker started to go through them, tossing some, but some were still green and moldy. This year we tried but Smokeys Grill again and the Upper Room and both were bad. We walked through the cafeteria but it looked o better than last year. We were there for two weeks and rarely was the food any good. Even their french fries, which used to be great, are bad. Too bad since a few years ago the food was exceptional and we looked forward to eating there after skiing. This was very disappointing. Management needs to fix this. As season pass holders, we may go to Tamarack next year instead... or pack our lunches each day...

Larry Mummey

Brundage is a fun place Last time I skied Brundage was 2008. We had a foot of new snow every night. The snow banks were about 6' high in McCall. We stayed in a small cabin on the lake shore and had a fabulous time. This January we had no new snow, but sun and well groomed runs. Lots of them. The area isn't huge, but there is lots of skiing to keep you happy for at least a couple of days. In the mornings we were given very firm well groomed runs which softened up around noon and were great until about 3:15 when they started to firm up again. It was cold 6 degrees on the way to the mountain, but warmed up to about 25. I was impressed by the multitude of runs for a small area. The lifties and the staff at guest services were friendly and knew their jobs. I like the area and will return hopefully when there is a snow storm.

Carl Bryan

Great to visit

Love love love this resort!!!

Nancy Gersack

Best snow in Idaho, great food at Smokey's and who doesn't LOVE a mid-mountain bar?!

Ann Youngblood

I loved my day here. Awesome that I could take short runs on only my second time snowboarding. Easy Street was perfect. The people were very helpful and friendly. Definitely want to come back here

Thomas Lacey

Danny Bade

Almost the best snow in Idaho, crowded.

Kiera Flaherty

It has a lot of different runs and they have a lot of snow.

Cassandra Green

As a season pass holder I am rethinking buying a pass for next year. This is the most poorly managed mountain in the Pacific Northwest. On a big holiday weekend you can expect long lines and each of the major lifts to break down at least once. You may experience the joy of hiking out of the Lakeview bowl due to the newest lift being broken down. You will not receive a refund, apology, or even free beer after your 45 minute hike. You can also expect unsanitary bathroom facilities that are completely unacceptable. As a season pass holder you better not forget your pass, because Brundage will make you pay for a day pass, even though they can easily find you in their system. The two stars are for the employees, who are kind and hardworking.

It is a nice resort. Prices are reasonable, the snow is usually good, and there are a variety of runs to choose from in both length and difficulty. Employees are friendly, too. Ski rental can get bottled up on busy days, but the process moves fairly quickly.
