A very small museum and it is free to go in. I heard that they did have some things of War of 1812 but I went there in 4/19 they are not on exhibit. A shipwreck, farmer things and light house is on exhibit. I dont how often they change out things

This museum/park is truly unique. I didn't go in the museum because I have my 2 little dogs with me. I learned a lot from the signs outside. The park is small and clean, and well equipped with a fully functional restroom, trash cans, doggy poop stations.

Cute little museum in Lewes, DE. No charge to enter and it will take very little time to see everything. Interesting exhibits related to the area. The building itself is very interesting. The surrounding grounds are also lovely.

Great museum

Carol Pollio

This is a lovely historical site, with interactive and very well done displays. You could spend a lot of time here, even though the space is limited, because there is so much to take in! The only reason for a lower rating than 5 stars is that the 2nd floor display on Delaware wines and spirits was not of interest to me - might be to someone else, though.

Such a beautiful place! Pure serenity! We got there when the flowers were just blooming and everything was so vibrant! Complete beauty! The church itself is an astounding piece of historical context! A must see if you are in the area!

Doug Quaid

Interesting museum. It's tiny, two floors, so you won't be there all day. Info video on the main level is worth watching since it tells you all the stuff you should know about Lewes. Some nice art work. Staff there is are very friendly and informative. It's free.

Barrington Jordan

Michael L

Very interesting place. I learned a lot talking to the staff. The displays were set up offering interest. The whale bone was cool and they have a table with actual artifacts that one can handle and check out with a magnifying lense. A free, air conditioned must see in Lewes.

This place is neat. First, it's easy to find and Lewes is a pretty town. The museum is free and contains items from a shipwreck along with interesting information. There is an art display upstairs. If you have any Dutch heritage this would be good to visit. Nice restaurants within walking distance.

Small but focused museum chronicling the history of the area. I was unaware of the Dutch influence here and found the information interesting. Exhibits on the local railroads and sunken vessels off the coast provide context that this area is more than just a place for a beach vacation.
