Here you will be able to see all the reviews of people who purchased the services of White Clay Creek State Park (Tourist Attraction) in the state of Delaware.
Currently the business gets a rating of 4.7 over 5 and that score is based on 681 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is nearly the best one, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we can conclude that the valuation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of State park.
Really enjoyed this park! It's beautiful with nature around if you stop to look. Saw deer a turtle and several types of birds. Very peaceful and loved the trails.
This 2-state state park is a great location in the greater Philadelphia / Wilmington area. The wide creek is an important feature in the park - on both sides. The Delaware side (with permission - contact the office) allows mineral collecting, such as panning garnets and magnetite from the creek.
No directions what so ever
My brother and I walked a nice chunk of the park on a path I hadnt previously been on. I have always enjoyed this park for the fishing and the general atmosphere and it's really close for the Newark, Pike Creek, and Hockessin people.
Great disc golf course. Random draw doubles league every Wednesday during the summer. Check out Delaware Disc Golf on Facebook for details.
Great park for walking/hiking. Most trails aren't paved, however you won't get a trail that gives you a more natural feel anywhere else in Delaware. Lived 10 minutes from the park my whole life, and I'm still finding new trails to explore to this day.
Great place to go for a walk or hike. Sometimes crowded, which can be annoying. Very flat, so not a rigorous walking route. Good for peaceful, thoughtful walk.
A beautiful place to visit, an awesome waterfall on the Delaware side great place to go fishing and relax . Rangers are there checking up on us as they should which makes it feel really safe knowing. Both Pennsylvania and Delaware sides are frequently monitored by Rangers just to note. They take their jobs serious but if your following rules and codes you'll be ok. They make it fun to chat with and try to help .Have all your licenses ready because they diligently seek out violations and rule breakers . Which makes me very happy,I pay for my licenses, support the Gaming commission and regulations and so should everyone else who want to participate.
Great place to mountain bike or hike, portapots at parking areas, many miles of trails. There is a small fee for most of the year. Think it's $3 per day, but not sure as I buy a pass. Watch out for the panther if you believe reported sightings over the years.
Nice good trails
Miles and miles of great hiking and biking trails. I could spend all day hiking the only hilly part of Delaware here at WCCSP. Multiple trail heads and parking areas make a great way to break up longer hikes. Trails are well maintained for the most part, though some areas could use better signage.
The Delaware White Clay Creek is part of the state's park system. There are miles of well maintained trails. You can walk, run, or mountain bike many of these trails without needing to cross roadways. If you're willing to cross the road, though, you can travel for miles. The paths are varied, including paved, gravel, and dirt. Some are wide and flat, others narrow and hilly, but generally easy/moderate effort. They pass through forest, along meadows, and many branches of the creek. Some paths link to the Pennsylvania White Clay Creek Preserve. Fee based lots, some with bathroom facilities or porta potties, allow for easy access to trail heads. Ongoing improvement projects are expanding trails. A great way to get away for some exercise in nature!
Very beautiful place. Great place for walking or riding
Beautiful park. Has a great disc golf corse.
Great place to stretch legs, exercise and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Park is kept clean for being close to civilization
White Clay Creek State Park's North College Avenue entrance is less than a mile from Main Street in Newark, yet it is very quiet and peaceful. I've seen trout, pike, catfish, deer, fox, ducks and ducklings geese, woodpeckers, eagles, huge snapping turtles the size of my bed pillow, and even a baby barred owl "brancher" too young to fly but able to climb trees by flapping its wings to provide lift while sinking its claws into the bark, inching higher and higher (as shown in a series if pictures posted to Google Maps).
This place is a hidden gem for mountain biking. Never in a million years would I think Delaware had some of the best single track on the East Coast. There are so many trails its gonna take me awhile to explore them all. Nice to have somewhere this awesome so close to where I live. Ride or die baby!
Great rélaxing atmosphere
A nice park. Parking is $4 for cars
Very peaceful with bike trails
Great bike trails. Be careful of choosing your appropriate level of advancement.
Incredible place to wander for a day, and easy access to Newark for a bite and a beer after.
Is really a nice park
Nice area
Great state park with the perfect beginner disc golf course.
What a little gem... Such a fun mix of flowy fun and tech features. Pump track, terrain park, skinny and log rides...
Absolutely huge park with a little something for everyone. I have lived in Newark for years and still don't think I've gone down every trail. Seamlessly connects to trails that go through the PA preserve as well if you're feeling extra adventurous.
A really nice park for walking or biking right outside of Newark.
Nice big park. Took a 6 mile walk and didn't cover all the trails. Their are some good hills to get your heart rate up. Clean restrooms and very nice picnic shelters. Great place for a hike or family outing.
Love the Wednesday night concert series and the trails for hiking /walking my dogs
Always beautiful and tranquil. Love this place.
Great family park that offers picnic area, kids playground, hiking trails, disc golf, they have summer concerts in the band shell and there are restrooms.
Beautiful. Had XC there. If love the natural world you go here.
absolutely beautiful place to go. experience nature on the trails through the woods and along the creek.
Great facility well kept very enjoyable experience
Great mountain bike riding....20 miles today.
It's a beautiful place with decent trails! Especially the nature preserve is great, that the trail runs alongside the creek.
Great Delaware park.
great bike trails
We always have a blessed time in the parks!
Absolutely beautiful. This park has plenty of parking, trails for all abilities, and a big playground. Great day trip for families.
Well marked trails and easy access.
Mountain biking! Long and flowing alternating with technical and tightly treed equals awesome all around.
Lovely place for hiking, biking, fishing or just relaxing.
I love this park. It's so peaceful and serene. The trails are really nice. You can park at one of many places around the whole park. There's some history to it which is cool. If you're a hiker this would be a place for you, It's just a very enjoyable time.
The best state park in New Castle County. Plenty of hiking trails, biking, nature and seasonal hayrides / bonfires. Season pass holder for almost 20 years!
Thick forests, flowing streams, near town, having no fees, and no hassles. Hikers, bikers, swimmers, fishers, etc happily relax here.
Great spot, been coming here since it was known as Carpenter Park. Close to everything but walk five minutes from the parking lot and you're away from it all...
I love the hiking trails here. Well marked and diverse terrain in a short distance.
Great place to take a nice hike and Rangers are great.
Well maintained and easy access.
Great place for a walk, hike lots of wild life ,fishing spots, views
I love the trails here
We love coming here and taking our pup on nice long walks to tire her out
Well maintained park and beautiful
Great local park/preserve. Better in Pa. than De. though, too many ridiculous stupid rules on the De. side. More than likely because of De. leaning to the left.
Nice place to walk. Alot of people ride mountain bikes on the hiking trail.
One of the best parks around, just beautiful. Very well maintained, fun and beginner friendly disc-golf course. Definitely worth a visit.
We had tons of fun. Lots of different parking lots to park close to whatever trail you want to take. I picked up a map at the main office and we took a walk along the creek and over the wood bridge. We're definitely coming back. I originally found this place after finding the full moon hike advertised online. For 5 bucks you walk an hour with the parks naturalist. She told us about certain trees and critters in the area and took us to some really nice spots to see the moon. It was awesome, highly recommend that too. I went alone as an adult and still had a good time
Nice place
Beautiful and full of wonderful little dreamy spots
Hiking, biking and horse riding is permitted Read the signs as some trails prohibit biking and or horse riding. I hiked 14 miles here today and the trail are mostly very good however at least one bridge is out and some trails are a bit overgrown. If you park in Pennsylvania parking is free but if you park in Delaware there is a parking fee.
Fantastic Mountain biking!
Lots to do here and the staff really seems to care about the park and its visitors. I brought in a group to do a park clean up and the entire group combined couldn't find enough litter to fill a single walmart bag. White clay is a beautiful and clean park.
super recommend this place to everyone. water very clean and very good to fish with family this and my son fished a trout
Was there to attend a cross country meet. Park has lots of trails though wooded areas, picnic area, and other facilities at the carpenter center
A beautiful natural wood with some of the most scenic water features you could hope to imagine. Well worth a pilgrimage.
I take an old friend of mine there trout fishing Every Spring. . . nice place to go. Out of the way, quiet, a lot of people jogging, riding bikes, doing their own thing while we sit there and fish. Very peaceful - you see Eagles geese ducks otters and also catch trout. Beautiful place to go spend the day!
Easy access to creek ! Perfect place the whole family can enjoy!
Amazing day. Great friendly people!!
The family and I love going to this park. There are so many hiking and biking trails right along the creek. It is very cool when you start a trail in DE and end up in PA. There is so much to do and see here.
Great place for walking/hiking. Very nice trails
Very nice area. We'll kept. E joyed the disc golf course especially. Plenty of parking.
Beautiful in the Spring. Many trails to enjoy. Ample parking and facilities. Few trash cans and some litter problems.
Great band , food plentiful as we were there for UD comp picnic, greens as far as the eye could see :) great evening!!
Beautiful state park all year round
Very peaceful!
Great state park with lots of beautiful trails and nature.
Fun trails but very narrow. Some gorgeous views
The locals do everything they can to pretend it's their private sanctuary. You used to be able to drive a car through there now they have it locked up most of the time. It's a very pretty area but a shame that it became such a private local area instead of a public place that everyone could enjoy. It is still a nice sanctuary for animals even if the locals don't want you in.
This is the go to nature park for anyone in the Newark area. There are so many areas to this park that you can spend years visiting and never see it all. There are open fields and walking tracks as well as beautiful swamp paths and creekside sitting areas. If you like nature focused parks and are in the area this is the one to visit.
The water was great and the fish were happy!
Lots of places to explore. Seems to be never ending! Great for exercise or nature walks and adventures.
Fast flowing biking trails. Wish they would have mike marker signs on the trail. Watch out for walkers and hikers. It could use some trail trimming too. Very overgrown.
Always an amazing place to ride bikes
Very fond memories fishing here every trout season with my Dad when he was at his best and well. I like to remember that version of him. Last one of the few Nice areas in the Delaware area.
Great state park. Lots of trails and things to explore.
One of the best attractions of living in Newark is white clay park
Clean bathrooms very quiet
Would like to see offleash area for
Very clean park with frisbee golf and many hiking trails to enjoy the parks beautiful surroundings.
Excellent place for peaceful time
Love this place every time. One of my favorite places to mtn bike. Very approachable for the entire family.
Great place to get out and go take a nature walk, but watch out for ticks.
Nice park.
Good bicycle riding on the Delaware Pennsylvania border.
great park great trails reasonable price for a yearly pass ..love going here
Just a wonderful place. They have trails you can hike , walk your dog/dogs, jog or let the kids run off a lil extra energy.fishing is my main reason.
Have to pay throughout the park...need to have cash with you $4 Delaware resident $8 out of state...be aware of the self pay areas they will ticket!
Love state parks, this one I love so much, have great trout fishing
Went for trout stocking. Too many people not enough trout get stocked and the stocking locations are false. Pike Creek has no legal place to fish or a place for them to stock, yet its listed for stocking. White clay itself is beautiful and very fun to trout fish when it is actually stocked on the correct days listed, instead of days you take off work to fish it and they don't actually stock it until the following day. Or they only stock it where it's easiest to walk to, instead of like before when they would go to all kinds of places up and down the stream.
Very spacious and clean park. I went there for an outing with others and had a very pleasant day.
Beautiful relaxing place nice place to go with the family beautiful scenery very clean atmosphere
Very nice if you like alot of nature, friendly staff. Ms Barbara Is very nice and pleasant very knowledgeable about rocks and minerals, great place for kids to learn and crush rocks
Peaceful and clean. Great for hiking and biking.
Most beautiful place ever!
My kids were very reluctant on this park since when we pulled up it was mostly a nice pRking lot. Once we found the trail it was a pleasant surprise a nice easy walk through the woods and not to far from civilization encase of emergency. Hard to see from majority of the trail but there is nice river that runs through here
Hiked with the kiddo through to PA, had a great time!
An absolutely beautiful trail with plenty of great spots for photography.
Pavilion was great near the playground near the bathrooms and open space for children to play
Short drive from philly and great trails! We have to go back and tackle some more!
Some of the best biking trails on the east coast
Nice place to mountain bike on single track trails.
Beautiful park with great hiking trails and a lot of nice people walking with their dogs.
This was my second time at white clay creek. You need a State Park sticker to park in the lot or park on the side of the road if you do not. At Thompson Bridge, there's no porta potty or trash cans. However, you are able to fly fish in designated areas. There are plenty of trout and trophy to catch.
Be sure to wear proper attire as there are several trails that shoot off of the main trail and they're hard to resist.
A great place to hike and play Frisbee golf. There summer concerts are always a great way to spend the evening
GORGEOUS! From PA side or DE side!
Great flowing and maintained mountain bike trails
Great park. Lots to do. Playground for the kids. Fishing when permitted. Great trails for hiking. If you like birding then this is a place for you too. Great disc golf course. Plays all year and changes greatly through the year. Fairways can be tight and missing can hurt for sure.
Beautiful park. Love the summer concert series.
White Clay isn't the biggest or most impressive state park but it still has plenty to offer. I've gone into White Clay for several years and never tire of it.
kids got nice fish on youth fishing day
Perfect for a sunday morning hike - they have a nice trail which goes to the border of PA.
This park and adjacent preserve include some of the most beautiful places around. There are great trails to walk, run or ride. I run there every Saturday with friends. Trailheads are accessible with good parking. I frequently ride my mountain bike to the preserve, then ride the trails into Newark for lunch. If it snows, just double my comment about the natural beauty. The flat trails along the creek are well worth checking out. This park connects to other parks in the Delaware system, check out the maps. Note that hunting is allowed in parts of the Park and Preserve, so carefully read any signs and respect trail closings due to active hunting. No hunting is allowed on Sunday.
Plenty of open walking trails and scenic.
Great spot for a run or bike. Can also home. Very large park with pavilion for rent. Good deer hunting in the fall.
Great park but the portapotty is always dirty.
It's beautiful here!
Lovely park for hiking, biking, running, etc. Trails are clearly marked and everything is well maintained for safety. A simply beautiful place for those looking to get immersed in all the nature that Delaware has to offer!
Great place to hike and bike. I take my dog here often as well.
This is a 4 star review beast on a mountain bikers perspective. The only thing that it really lacking in my opinion is more technical areas and/or obstacle. there was one small section with Some balance or walk type stuff but it was small. It is a pretty good place to take a beginner or friends.
Trails are so fun. Good for all levels. Beautiful year round.
Cool course, super windy day, better luck next time!!
One of my favorite places to be.
Very nice state park. Over 30 miles of well maintained hiking trails which lead through beautiful forest and past White Clay Creek. Biking is allowed on some of the trails and some parts of the creek are great swimming holes in the summer.
Nice picnic spot for families and friends
Very nice trail system- for mountain biking or hiking. Trails, parking lots are well maintained.
Great park.
It's a bare bones state park, but a very beautiful one. Each part has its own beauty that packs a punch. There's the open and wooded areas where the amphitheater is. Just near by to that is the aforementioned creek. Along it on either side is a dirt, and paved path. Car accessible in a few places. White clay is massive, and I have yet to venture all of it, but being in the center of its urban setting, it's a nice get away. The University of Delaware is its neighbor, and is encompassed almost entirely by Newark. As I said, it's bare bones, so aside from the events that are held, the only activities are done on foot, or peddled. Amazing hiking trails, disc golf course (my favorite one in Delaware, next to Cape Henlopen), fishing, and great places to chill. Ordinarily, I set up my hammock wherever I respectfully please, and read. Visit this place. It has a lot of personality, and beauty to offer. Just be kind to our wonderful park, it deserves it.
Loved it. So did the kids.
Nice walk in the woods. Well maintained park
Beautiful park with walking trails and stream.
Beautiful seanary
Nature at its best
Excellent place for family time.
Good mix of paved, gravel, and natural trails through forested and fielded areas. Usually not too crowded. Keep an eye out for bikers on the trails, as some points are narrow and steep, and there is not enough thoroughfare for hiker and biker.
Gorgeous and very friendly disc golf course
