Great hidden gem in the middle of Dover area. Always loved coming to this park when i was a kid, now i bring my kids. Love that they put a dog park here. We brought our dogs here today and they had a great time with the other dogs and the kids enjoyed the play area. Nice nature trail and hills for the kids to climb...

Great park for dog walking. Pet owners sometimes leave their bags of dog poo. Pick it up and take it with you! Great playground and picnicking area.

A very small park with a nice one mile loop through some woods and a nice view of the pond and a river. There is a large dog park that's not normally over populated. There is a minor littering problem here, but otherwise it's a nice quick break for your day. There's a fun play set for small kids. Not the best park in the area but nice for a quiet stroll.

Great dog park, good open area for running around. Large and small dog sides. Water available outside of freezing conditions. As of 12-26-15 there really isn't any shade inside of the park area, so just keep that in mind.

It’s not quite what I remembered it to be as a kid. Heavily wooded and playground structure was good. A short hike from the parking area to get to the pavilion, playground and dog park.

A quaint park - open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk, that is normally not crowded at all. The dog park could use more benches and shade, but it has a large and small dog side with ample room for running and playing. Both sides also have fresh water available throughout most of the year. The pavilion/grilling/playground is near the water, and has plenty of shade trees. As does the series of trails that loops around the pond. The pond also has fishing during the season, and to talk to many of those that partake in the fishing, it is pretty well stocked. As with other Kent County parks - there are not any bathroom facilities, and no trash cans. This is a carry in/carry out your trash park. That is fine by me, but not everyone that frequents the park abides by those rules. It is not uncommon to find pieces of trash, fishing line around, or dog waste bags left by the dog park. That isn't particularly the park's fault - so I won't even knock a star off due to the disgusting habits of others. All in all - a nice little park for a quiet stroll or doggy play time.

This place has been here a long time, it's clean and quiet, a nice place to go for an afternoon walk or picnic. They also have small and large dog areas. Fishing is very hit and miss but if your gonna picnic, why not?

Nice walking park. Trout stocked fishing ponds. Play area next to a shelter. I go for the dog enclosures where I can let the dog run free. There are two areas, one for large dogs and the other for small. Poop pickup bags are provided should they have been forgotten. Port-a-potties in evidence this last outing, perhaps for the fishing season. Ticks are present, so take precautions; repellent seemed to work. No trash cans so all must be carried back out. Footsteps and memories.

The dog park is the reason for three stars, it needs more benches, and they need to replace the dead/non growing single trees in each of the two areas. Also, isnt much else to do here but walk on short walking trails, eat at a picnic table, and have your kids play on the playground

Very nice dog park lots of space for the dogs to run around. Nothing there for them to jump on or climb so definitely bring a toy or two to keep them occupied. They also have a water fountain for the dogs, however it is capped off during the winter. They also have doggie bags so you can clean up after your pup. Overall nice place!!

I don't like the way the dog park is set up and the water fountains for the dogs is still broken from last year so u have to bring ur own water for ur dog.

Nice relaxing experience every time I come by whether it’s with my dog or with some friends. This park has two fairly large enclosures; one for big and one for small dogs. There is water provided from a pump so you don’t have to bring your own. There’s a great picnic area with a small playground and pavilion. There’s also a bass pond for fishing. Only gripe is that there are no trashcans to deposit waste. Of course they would need someone to come once a week to empty it but that would be a big plus.

Nice little Park but people find it unnecessary to clean up their dog poop or they just leave it in a bag instead taking with them. Or better yet they throw it over the fence in the woods in the bag
