Always love this place for the friendly dog park, the nicely maintained walking paths, cliffs and the beautiful scenery and there is a building for rest rooms not an out house for those who are out house phobic JTLYK for a relaxi g day with nature its a nice place and right outside of city limits in a nice area! Free bands in the summer too.

Nice and quiet, has a bathroom for the public. Nice gazebo to sit, historic statues to read about. Great place to jog, wall and run. Dog park right next to the park. Small picnic area to spend the day, closed at set sunset so no real camping, and grill area.

Great place for sighseeing, running, barbeque, and bringing your dog to play. Large open area for off-leash dogs. Lots of people come and bring their dog(s) daily, great place for socializing your puppy. Also, has tennis courts, a baseball field, and outdoor basketball court.

I love this park. It's beautiful, well-maintained, and just a lovely place to spend the day. I grew up with a poster in our kitchen that had this park in it with the water tower. And my grandmother would tell me how when she was a young girl she would go to this park and the water tower was there and now my grandparents are buried across the street at Mount Salem Cemetery. So whenever I go to visit their grave, I stop by the park as well. And I love how you can hear the church bells from the church that's on the corner and it's just very peaceful and lovely. Even when there's a lot of people there it's still a very tranquil and nice area to spend some time reflecting and thinking about the best grandmother in the whole world.

Rockford Park has much to enjoy. .From expansive trails, dog park, to an enchanting old tower. No fee to enter. Kept pristine condition. B.T.W. ..the dog park is an open area without fences. If you feel Fido will respond when he's running too far, then it's worth taking your pooch there. Have heard , though, sometimes the pups keep going. Mostly, the dogs are having a blast and the pooch parents enjoy each other's company.

You can go for walks through the woods and its so peaceful. I had an awesome experience climbing all the stairs to get to the top of the tower and if you have a pair of binoculars you can see everywhere around Wilmington...it was great.

Nice dog park. ALOT of space. If you go after 3 or 5pm theyre are always so many dogs. Keep in mind alot of dogs, means alot of people, and not everyone are genuine and responsible people.

This park is beautiful. If you get lucky during the summer, they have a huge amount of activities going on. Also, if you go there on the right days, the tower is open for you to climb and get a spectacle view of the surrounded area. Tough climb in one go, but so worth it.

My sister and I ran a 5k through part of this park and it was beautiful. There are baseball fields, plenty of space for picnicking, and the tower gives you a unique view of the area. The park is near the Delaware Art Museum and easy to get in and out of. Lots of people use the paths for walking or running.

Beautiful park. Dog friendly. Vast rolling grass hill surrounded by hiking hills studding with boulders and majestic trees on one side and antique mansions on the other, and a huge old tower at the top of the hill. Definitely worth visiting

This place is special for me; I've been coming here as a lifelong resident of Wilmington. Great place to take the family for a walk,(don't forget to bring the family puppy!) picnic, take photos, play tennis or baseball, etc. Great Sledding location in the winter. Also remember when they reopened the tower (circa 2002?) every weekend. Amazing 360 view of Philadelphia, Jersey, and you can see clear down Delaware to the beach. I believe the tower is open on certain weekends now. Of course there is the flower market during the Thursday-Saturday before Mother's Day; a Wilmington Institution. many venders of flowers, herbs, and all other local crafts. If you never been here, check it out, it's quite and serene. If it's been a while, check it out, it nicer then you remember.

We take our dog here on the regular. It's a huge space, and although no fenced in, it has plenty of room if you want to spend some time with just your dog. Park is well maintained and occasionally offer live entertainment like music
