Beautiful house and gardens! They show a video about his life and all his accomplishments....it's a short but worthwhile to see type of video. You get to walk through the downstairs rooms of the house and it's beautiful and true to the time period. The whole place is just amazing.

Great detail in the history of the Dupont family. I wish less areas were blocked off, (including the entire second floor). I feel like I learned their life, but with more access it could have been more interactive and I could have felt like I lived their life. I found it amusing that they ended the family timeline just prior to John Dupont, who was potentially crazy which led to him murdering someone.

This years decorations was dedicated to literature. The Dupont home was elegant and original. The Dupont home is set up like he had it during his lifetime. There is a nice film to introduce you to him and his interests. He mostly enjoyed horticultural activities and building beautiful fountains.

What a neat find, a museum within a museum. The house is beautiful and gives a great history of the estate where it's located. Very well maintained. Really nice glimpse into the past.

There is lots of history inside and is a great place to go if you are visiting Longwood.

A true look at horticultural history. On the grounds of Longwood gardens, but easily missed due to some of the more spectacular exhibits, such as the outdoor fountains. Nice to visit especially in winter because as use it has a beautiful indoor garden. Spectacularly maintained. Beautiful details.
