Beautiful site and great places to eat

Cool place to see some wildlife, especially because it's so close to the waterfront. Good for kids under 7-8, as it is small. You can spend about 2 hours or so here. There is a nice running path along the waterfront that ends here.

Superb walking, birding and connecting with nature!

Educated and friendly staff. Our experience had lots of personnel attention. We enjoyed interacting with and feeding the animals. Beautiful view of downtown Wilmington and the surrounding wetlands.

A very pretty building next to a lovely boardwalk over a freshwater marsh just off the split of the brandywine and christiana rivers. A great place to enjoy a little stroll there is a footpath that connects it to riverwalk complex and frawley stadium. Lots of industrial development surrounds this nature preserve, my visit was punctuated by the clanging of huge pieces of metal from across the river and occasionally yelling men. I also saw the new castle county rowing association come back to their landing, that evening and that was pleasant. This is a great start at what one day will be a great area as land values rise and the industrial uses are pushed further south.

The center is just a great place to bring your kids and grandkids. Their time in the outdoors checking out the animals and seeing how the seasons change things is something they'll have forever!
