Nice until we got flooded out, never even heard back from manager. Never again. It's ashame they even let you reserve a spot that is guaranteed to flood with the slightest bit of rain.

Chris Baker

We have camped here the past two summers. Love it! Just returned home from another glorious week there! We don't want to go anywhere else.

Low key, great place to take the dogs on the beach! Was not crowded. There is no life guard at this part of the beach though!

Kelly Hemmings

Yes, it's gorgeous being close to the water, but the campsites leave much to be desired... They're small and of course, no shade, since you're on sandy ground. So it just depends on what you want, but when camping I prefer more of a camp feel.

We camped here for a week in our RV and although this place would be considered basic it was fantastic. The bathrooms were clean but the shower curtins were ripped or had holes in them. The electruc was good even with everyone running their ac at full blast in full sun. No cable but we has 30 over the air stations.Try to stay as close tovthe bridge as possible in the south inlet. We experienced heavy rains and a lot of the sites had staning water. You cant bet the acess to the beach.

Day camp for big kids (adults) This kayak trip was offered by Delaware Seashore State Park. Our guides Olivia & Drew were fantastic! We put our kayaks (supplied by the park) in at savages ditch (just north of the Indian river inlet) dragged our kayaks out (low tide haha) to where we could paddle. We paddled out & around big Bacon island & Bush island seeing the nesting areas of various species of gulls, hearings & ospreys (I’m pretty sure that’s correct). Olivia & Drew were extremely knowledgeable & told us all about the area & the wildlife. When we got back to the bus (2.5 miles I think) we went to the showers (which was desperately NEEDED) & changed clothes then we went to Hammerheads for lunch. Then off to the Delaware center for inland bays & saw some of the research, science & tech, of how they’re continually making the watershed better for us & the wildlife and the history of the estuary program. Then to the Coast Guard station. Saw the control room & learned about their mission to keep our waters safe. We got to talk to the guardsmen (very cool) & they answered all kinds of questions. (Still not done!) then we went for a scenic walk across the bridge. We were informed about the history of the bridge & prior bridges, the high tech to keep the bridge safe & sand replenishment system. It was a stellar day. We were very happy with this day trip.

Delaware Seashore State Park is a special place for me. In WWII my father was stationed at Fort Miles which is now a wonderful state park. Sometimes I feel close to my father when I visit the shore patrol area knowing he spent a few years there.

We visited on a cold, windy Fall day. Nevertheless, it was fun seeing the wild horses, some horseshoe crab shells, and miles of sandy beach.
