Lots and lots of play and learn opportunities for kids. Staff are very friendly. Great place to be with our grandkids.
Great place for kids and families. And not so expensive. Only 16$, or 99$ for whole year.
Nice place for kids and adults. Loved it
We were there for almost 2 hours and I felt like I didn’t even see half the place! My 18-month old son and 2 1/2-year old niece had a blast! They painted, played at the water table, climbed in the train and boat, and road on scooters. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely great experience.
Reasonably priced. Kids loved it. One suggestion would be to have staff at the basketball court area to help ensure all the kids get to try. We had a good sized group from babies to Grandma's and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Loved it! So much for the little ones to do. I went with my daughters and we discovered different goes of jungle animals, learner about structures and stability, and played with the water table. Tickets are good all day so feel free to go in the morning leave for lunch and go back later if your kids aren't too tuckered out. Our favourite spot was the scooter race track!
great place just complete awesomeness
Seems like a really great spot for children. We took our 10month old just to check it out yet it is obviously better for ages 2+. Not the biggest hands on museum but it packs a lot of great information and experiences for little ones!
A great environment safe for the kids. A wonderful experience so much for the kids to do.
Fun place but staff was rude to my child and made him cry because he was "too loud" inside the cardboard maze. I understand inside voice is the expectation, but he is four Andi was in the middle of asking him to quiet when she interrupted me to fuss at him.
I can't say enough about how excellant this place is. Wonderful
Both my toddler and my 5 year old had a great time. I loved how there are things to keep kids of all ages entertained. We all definitely want to go again.
My kids loved this. It's huge and has lots of areas to keep the children entertained
Great place with lots of space and things to do for both the children and the parents to do.
What a fantastic children's museum! Not too expensive or crowded and plenty to do for all ages, from a water area to trains to construction and sports. We thoroughly enjoyed our hours here and wish we had discovered it sooner
Wonderful place for kids off all ages! So much to do and see, I love how is set up so you could come for an hour or stay and play all day.
An absolutely GREAT place for children. Easily able to spend t whole day there. Can't wait to go again. Thanks
Nice place for those rainy day activities. Smaller though, which can get crazy with all the field trips from schools and camps.
Our 2nd graders enjoyed the maze, gift shop, bank on it, scooter race, and the taking shape program.Thank you
This was a fun and exciting time for the family!! Even my little toddler had a great time. We loved the art studio where the kids were able to make a few masterpieces. The big room with the fish tank and pirate ship were great too. I highly recommend trying it, great spot for young and middle aged kids.
A fun place for children where they can play and just be kids. My daughter enjoyed the banking and playing grocery store clerk.
It's the best place for kids learning & development. Specially the young kids. Go for their membership. It's only. 100sh or so for a year. Can't beat it.
I visited on a Friday and it wasn't very busy. All areas were very clean and constantly being organized as kids spread the toys around. My 2 year old daughter played for a solid three hours.
Great for children under 10. Educational and exciting. We will be back.
my daughter (20 months old) loved this place. We are considering getting a membership. The key is to get there early before all the madness starts.
This museum is awesome! My kids (1 and 2.5) love coming here! From the trains to the water stations to the craft room there is so much to do here. And then there so much more along the river walk, definitely a great spot to make a day of with the family!
The best one so far loved it
Love going here with my 4 year old
Spent 2.5 hours at the DCM with three of the grandkids (ages 6-9) and they had a blast! So many things to enjoy in such a small space. Wonderful to see the kids enjoying activities that did not involve an electronic screen but challenged them physically and mentally and sparked their imaginations. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well-organized and the admission price is very reasonable. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the winter with the kids!
My son loves it, even though we have been there quite a bit
Fantastic place to take children of all ages. My 2 year old daughter loved it
Great place for kids! Love the $2 Community Nights one Wednesday a month! Also love that they have books at most of their section to go along with the theme!!
This location is amazing. It's full of awesome things for the whole family. The price is very cheap for all that can be done. I recommend packing a lunch a lunch and spending the day here. In the summer and spring you can go walk near the water .
Nice place for kids, visited during Star Wars visit.
Excellent place for children and youngster too. This place give you a kind of pleasure feelings. Genuine price to visit this place. You will worth your time and money.
Great place to entertain little kids
This is an awesome place to spend the day with your children for an affordable day trip. They have really made this place so interesting for all ages. They have a sports area, a construction zone, a water table, a painting area, a store, etc. in each of these areas the kids can get to play adult life. They can shop at the store, they can build things, they can out on a jersey and be a basketball or baseball player. It’s a clean, safe environment and our 2 year old loved it. We will definitely be back!
The New Year celebration was fun though there was several of the exhibits out of order, and even a few that needed minor to major maintenance work done on them. We have gone several times, and this visit was very different than before. Aside from the several exhibits being inoperable there was also a few staff members seemingly uninterested in helping the children have a great experience. The fish tank, where in the past they were interactive with the kids in identifying the species and allowed them to gently touch the starfish instead the two girls took up the whole step up area to the right and socialized with each other and despite our asking completely ignored my questions, only answering "two fingers only!" as kids were attempting to touch the water. The starfish were three feet down so there was never any opportunity to actually touch one. Very disappointed.
Very reasonably priced especially in comparison to its bigger counterparts "the franklin institute" Smaller space but right on the river walk. Lots of great exhibits. Took my 3 kids ages 5-9 and kept them entertained for 2 hrs. Lots of nearby eating spots. Definitely worth a checkout. If planning a day- try to schedule while a Blue Rocks game is happening.
Loved it! We went on a Friday wasn't crowded they also run a deal $5 entrance 5-7pm every Friday. We spent there 3 hours lots of fun for kids and also for parents.
My seven year old son had fun at this museum.
We took our VERY ACTIVE 2 y/o nephew here and he had a blast. It's very reasonably priced, and they do bday parties too. Alot of activities from painting, to basketball, slide, water stations, and much much more! This is a great indoor alternative on for.those days when it's too hot or.cold for the park. You can bring you own snacks, drinks and food. My nephew literally ripped and ran from one end of this place to the other, and Was sleep before we got him home.
The kids always enjoy themselves here, and it is well keep and cleaner than some of the other area children's museum. The tall climbing thing when you enter is always a hit.
Great place for the little ones. I was there was a 2 1/2 year old and she had a blast. Plenty of room for the kids to get some exercise when its cold outside. Its also educational. Lots of staff on hand and they are super friendly. Membership is a great deal.
Great staff....fun and exciting place to learn hands on experiences
I enjoy bringing my children here as often as possible. It's a pleasant way to enjoy a day without phones or tablets.
Nice place to take your kid. They'll definitely enjoy and learn stuff.
Wonderful place to take the kids
Great place to take the kids and experience so many interesting hands on exhibits and learning areas.
We always love this place. Each time we go there's something new.
My 1 year old had so much fun! Perfect for all age groups
The DCM is always a great place for my son to learn and play. Staff is great and it's always clean! Membership is very affordable Nand we go as often as we can!
A nice variety of things to do with a lot of room to move. Didn't feel over crowded at all the way other children's museums have. I loved the amount of art activities incorporated. We spent 3 hours there, and the kids already want to go back.
I have an 8, 4, and 3 yr old. My youngest 2 really love this place. My 8 yr old tolerates it but its definitely not his favorite. He enjoys it with his brothers though. It's pretty small inside. The restrooms are always clean. They do change some of the activities around but the things my kids love the most are painting, the water play area and the basketball area. It gets kinda jammed on the weekends but the weekdays are usually kinda slow. For the price it's not bad for younger kids. I do wish they didn't charge admission for adults. Also wish they had longer hours.
Not bad for $9. Plenty of hands on stuff for the kids
Very nice place, little small though
It's a great place to take the kids
Great fun for the kids. They loved it there. Very nice place. :)
From the minute we got there my Grandkids just wanted to do things they're so excited they have so much fun so many different things to do that keeps them busy I could hardly keep up with them but it was really fun
Love it for my grandson, great free parking across the street. My first grand child, nice place to take him to explore....would reccomend this place.
Good place, big building, but i feel that it almost needs more activites to do.
What a fun play. Visited here for my granddaughter's birthday party. Great activities. Couldn't believe all the areas of play.
Nice ring children's place around and grill and adventure and see new things no name
Wonderful staff, clean, fun for the kids. There were activities for babies and kids up to 6 or 7 years old. The water section was a favorite for my daughter. There are boats, canals, mazes, and pipes to adjust water flow. They have a gift shop, but no place to eat inside/or serve food. There is a restaurant next door, and a large parking lot across from the crab place for you to park. Very easy to spend 3 or 4 hours here!
My children loved this place. Hands on, lots of fun activities both physical and mental. Nice balance in fun and educational. Not sure how old kids are when this stuff would bore them. But my 3 y.o. were way down.
A little crowded but totally expected on a weekend. Staff is on point. Always a fun time with the kids there. A great way to get them wound down for nap time.
Nice place for family fun! We went to a Birthday party and the children enjoyed making slime and creating a project using recycled materials
Had a blast there with my nieces and nephews
We like it ok. My kids enjoyed it but got bored quickly with each section. Great for the 3 and under crowd. But it feels out if date and under staffed. The water area is particularly struggling and seems like there isn't much to do besides get completely wet.
We make a special hour-long drive to enjoy our membership to the museum. It's a beloved educational day!
Great day for our 3 and 5 year old son. Lots of activities to be enjoyed.
Way too expensive and same thing on display every time.
Great place to take young children.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time.
Great place to bring children from ages 3-8. Filled with themed play areas, giant water table, and more. Had my Son's 3rd birthday party here and was perfect venue.
Great afternoon with the grandson. Parking may be a challenge. The lot right next door has signs that indicate parking is only for restaurants.
We had to get a membership to this place. My grandchildren loved it so much.
The best children's museum we've ever visited. Friendly helpful staff. Spacious rooms with activities for all ages.
So many fun activities to do with the kiddos! I highly recommend this musem!
Lots of fun for the entire family. Bring lunch or snacks Small gift shop.
My girls love it here. There are so many activities that they can stay busy for hours.
We always enjoy our visits here. There are plenty fun and educational activities for kids. My daughter especially like the art room and the pretend play/building activities. Free parking and nice options nearby for lunch or dinner.
An absolutely amazing time for the whole family! After our first day we went back 2 days later and bought a membership. It's right off of I-95 and was easy to find. There's convenient and free parking. It's a fun place for children to learn, create, pretend, and play. There's a ton of options and plenty of activities for everyone. DCM is also parent friendly; there's a place to eat lunch, family restrooms, and an automatic door to the restrooms so you can easily get a stroller in and out. We're so happy to have this museum close to home!
My youngest children are 11 & 2 they both love going to the Delaware Children’s Museum. I wish I would have discovered this place sooner. It’s been a really great way to beat the heat this summer. It’s not too expensive, the staff is very friendly, the facility is kept clean, and activities in the art studio and STEM room change often. My toddler pulls the brochure off of the fridge and says “Mommy, I want to go to there.” Like almost everyday! He gets so excited before he enters the building. The only downside is he never wants to leave
Best place for children and a no-stress zone for parents
Children and adults will love this place. Hands on and interactive exhibits will keep you busy for a few hours. Only $9 per person to get in is a great price.
My 3 year old daughter loves going here! She never stops asking to go back to this awesome place!
Friendly staff. Great place to spend time with the grands on a hot day. Plenty of learning activities and opportunities to be active and safe.
The kids had a good time
Three because they need to update ALOT of their equipment & have more staff on the floor to help "control" traffic. You can tell some parents came to let the children run wild. I understand zone children have diagnoses but that shouldn't be an excuse for rude behavior. Hopefully this membership is worth the money
Children emjoyed. Place looking worn out.
Spent two hours there and Ollie had a great time so did I
Great for toddlers and younger and probably older children but I don't have any of those
I used to live in Wilmington and knew about this museum, but never went since we moved when my daughter was still an infant. I found this Children's museum to be excellent. There were several exhibits that we're informative and fun for my daughter. Also, most of the exhibits were intact and working which is not the same at the children's museum where I live. If you live in Wilmington or happen to be in the area with your kids I would suggest stopping in.
Great place to take children. Plus when your done you can take a walk down the board walk get ice cream or walk to a place to eat. Can definitely make a day happen here.
Great fun for 8 and under.
Always have an amazing time here. The last time we went the sweet staff member who was working in the Paint/Puppet Show/Sand room was so interactive and incredibly sweet with my Grandson. I wish I could remember her name so i could properly give her accolades. She really made our day so much better than it usually is there by simply playing puppets & in the sand with my usually shy Grandson! So Grateful!! Thank you! Buying a membership was the best decision. ❤
Great place to take your kids. Learning and fun combined.
Great place, kids love it and don't get tired of it, so much for them to do.
Very educational and interactive for kids
My son would go here every week given the choice. It is a large building but everything is very nicely spaced. The crowds are generally not too large. The space feels very safe. Our son loves the water area the most.
The best place for kids to learn and have fun.
Nice pople recommend but remember....you need money
Our family loves this place lots of free parking and local dinning near by. You could even pack a lunch for children they have tables inside. We have a membership.
Fun for early childhood age children (0-8 year olds).
it was clean and very educational. the entree fee is reasonable as well.
A great local option for indoor educational fun with young children! Lots of hands-on activities for kids! We especially love the water table, aquarium touch tank, supermarket/bank, mechanic "garage", & art area. Perfect venue for rainy days, cold weather, and very hot days. Plenty of free parking nearby and close to I-95 for easy access. Definitely worth getting the family membership!
My grandsons loved it. It wore me out. Look forward to our next visit.
Always a pleasure to experience with your child.
Really neat place for kids to learn and play. Mini golf right next door with ice cream
Great place to bring the family. Fun for all ages.
Hands on learning and playing for all ages. It is a great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for all of you (including you, parents!) My children are 2 and 5 and they absolutely love it. Highly recommended.
This was so much fun! We could stay and play for hours
A fun place to be. My family has been there at least twenty times since last summer and it has always been incredibly clean, no small feat for such a busy and popular place! They change up a few of the exhibitions from time-to-time, particularly in the room on the west side of the building. The staff are always attentive and easy to find.
Great learning experience for kids of all ages & parents like it as well
My son and I had so much fun! Clean and nice customer service. We will be back again
My granddaughter's birthday party was here this is a pretty neat place. The kids really enjoyed it I think most of the adults enjoyed it too I would definitely recommend this place on a regular basis to take your kids it's very educational and the staff is very nice and friendly
Clean indoor space for little ones to explore. I found myself enjoying it alongside them. Plenty of places to lounge for the parents.
Great entertainment for kids and even adults alike. Not as overpriced as most kids museums. I think it was a great value.
Love this place ! Great for all ages ! My son is 19 months and enjoys everything. Water table , fish tank with live fish , market , train , basketball , painting , any much more !
Disappointed with the price versus what the kids have to do there. It was nearly 50 dollars and we were only able to stay around 90 minutes before our kids got bored and wanted to leave.
Always something for the kids to do no matter how often we come
A fabulous place for kids to play and learn. I have been taking my 5 year I'll old here since she was 2 and she has a blast every time we go. The staff is wonderful and the art studio is our favorite destination.
What a wonderful visit we had! Will definitely return. Lovely staff and beautiful, clean exhibits for the children. We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of this destination. Thank you!
This airy space is full of hands on learning, exploration and creative play. Would not recommend for children over age 10.
Love this place! Great activities for children tha can last for hours! The cost is 9.00 per person.
Kids loved this place! Just wish it was open later in the evening.
Great kids' museum - plenty of activities, lots of science, lots of fun.
Educational and fun! Ideal for ages 2-10
A lot of activities that are educational for children
Kids have a solid 4 hours to spend, enjoy and learn....
Nice place to spend time with your children
Cool place for the kids; painting, activities, learning. Located on the Delaware waterfront(free parking)
Amazing and only $9 a person!
Perfect place to take the kids on a Saturday. Get there early when there are less crowds. Parking is free. There are lots of fun educational activities for the kids. It is awesome to have a place like this in Delmarva.
My whole family enjoyed this place. We were there for an hour and a half and so didn't do everything. I was surprised that even my 13 yr old was somewhat occupied, although the place is geared for the 6-11 age group. Very friendly staff and seems pretty clean for being a place where kids touch everything.
We love this place. The kids always have a good time and funny enough learn something new each time. I also like that they always have an art project for the kids to do. Surprisingly the gift shop is not expensive at all. We have the membership and it’s perfect for cold or rainy days.
Fun place to take the kids for various activities. Could easily make a day out of it.
Great place for all age people. Wonderful staff.
Great birthday party experience! 13 month old and 8 yr old had an amazing time! Party room had three sensory tables and an arts and craft activity. Parents and kids loved it.
amazing experience a child was lost while we were there and the staff reacted fast and found the lost boy in minutes very impressed.
We really enjoyed this museum. The designers not only thought about the kids, but they also designed spots for the parents to sit comfortably and watch their kids play. My 6.5 year old loved it here. Lots to do at a really reasonable price.
Amazing place and membership is reasonable, especially if you have 2 kids. The rope maze is a fave. The activity room is always fun. Water table. Cashier’s food market. Great location! Nothing bad to say except parking is funky. Just park at the restaurants despite the threats to tow. Never seen a tow truck there.
Our son loves DCM. Perfect place for youngsters to work off some energy.
Worth a membership. Easy to get to off the freeway. Great for hot/cold days when some inside play is needed. Great variety of activities.
Lots of small and medium scale activity for kids with age group of 18m+ to 8yrs!! Very friendly staff and we'll maintained place.
Great for kids but they will out grow most of it quickly. Offers special events and discount days.
