The cannonball itself is just that, a cannonball. But the historic society and the surrounding area are very interesting. Lots of great stores and restaurants in the area.

Great history. Lots of shops and places to eat in town.

The Cannonball House is considered by some the most haunted building in Delaware. Just by being on it's grounds you can sense a presence. In fact i am worried that something may have followed me home. The house is located in Lewes, the first city in the first state.

Truly a gem! The area's only maritime museum with some nice displays and informed docents. Definitely worth a visit!

It's a bit cramped but super fun to look through. They managed to fit a ton of info and items in a cool little slice of history. Refreshing.

This was a Great stop for the kids and myself. We saw this attraction on T.V. and had to go. Lewes De. Is a great History Lesson for all ages. Make it there this Summer 2018 !

The First Town in the First State. The town of Lewes has a wealth of history that is well preserved including this house that has a cannonball lodged in the exterior wall. It was fired upon in April of 1813 during the fighting of the War of 1812.
