Decent trail for running/walking. Has several covered picnic areas, and some fields for activities such as horseshoes, volleyball, baseball/softball, football, soccer, etc.

It's a nice small park with about a mile of trails, nice walk. Bathrooms were clean the last visit; however a year ago they were awful so maybe they are being monitored better. It's sad that some people still throw litter and not all dog poop is picked up

This was my first time at this park. It is very nice. Family friendly. Clean. The only thing the bathroom was darkbut again clean. But would visit again.

I've been coming here since the park opened in the late 90s. Wonderful long trails in the woods. You can even see what's left of the Old Mill. There's a big nice playground and restrooms. Open Fields and horseshoe pits. Large first come first serve picnic Pavilion. During Halloween there is a fantasy Trail for small children where they can meet princesses and superheroes. And at night there is the Haunted Trail that is a very popular teen and adult Halloween attraction. It's wonderful that the last owner donated this land near the highway to the county to be enjoyed by everyone

Great Park but can be quite crowded at times. 1 mile loop surround this whole park, half of which cuts through the woods into trails for bikes or walking. Plenty of path, so also be mindful of wildlife. Sand Vollyball, bourse shoes, and giant field. Small baseball field, patio with picnic table seating with restrooms on site. Lots of parking available and be careful of the run path that cuts through the roundabout. Furthermore there is a workout area with equipment installed on-site located at the entrance next to the run path. No smoking, 12 and under, and a band plays on Wednesdays sometimes during the summer.

Brecknock Park was actually built by one of my childhood friends moms. This is a great part four people animals children family events whatever. It's just got nature walks it's got playgrounds .Tons of parking. There are also a number of baseball fields that you can go to. It's just a lovely lovely park to go to.

Love this park! I love all the choices you can have here. Walk the mile loop, the long trail, playground for kids, a game horse shoe, volleyball, softball, soccer. The paths are nice as most of it is wooded which gives shade during the summer. Park is always clean.

Possibly the best park in the Dover area. Great place to kick back with the kids, or let them run wild and still have good vision from most areas. The picnic area is adequate and clean. The location has public restrooms that are usually clean. The walk path is amazing.

Nice place to take your kids and pets. My only recommendation is having emergency phones on the trails or a buzzer or something. You never know who or what you are gonna run up on when you are on the trail. But very nice park!!!!

Very nice playground for the kids....it's just a shame people don't take their trash with them. Also can do without people smoking e-cigarettes, thought smoking of any kind was illegal in State parks.

Came to Dover to visit my girls and we stopped by this park for awhile. Nice space for picnicking with the family. Beautiful greenery. Next time I have to go on the trails . Great place for the kids to play, just might need a little updating to some parts of the playground. But overall a peaceful place to take a walk also.

Playground is nice and big for the kids. Separate area for smaller kids. The bathrooms are stinky (typical for a park bathroom) but the kids had a great time. And they have a nice little nature walk /plant area behind the bathroom as well as a book box on the playground trail which are nice little touches

Had a family reunion there today. The kids had a great time. The only problem i had was there are no trash cans there NEVER have i been to a park that did not have trash cans. Other than that it was great.

Very well maintained walking/running trail. Kudos to Kent County. Wish we had one like this close to my house on the east side of Rt.13 north of Dover near Dyke Branch. Woodland walking is so stress-reducing!

Love this park. I have been taking my kids since they were babies and even now they still love it. There is a walking/jogging trail, bathrooms, horseshoe pits, volleyball nets etc... The playground has been maintained over the years and it's very clean.

Thry have pavilions for parties and play areas with open fields if you have games.. if you are in the area i recommend you stop by and check it out...

I grew up going to brecknock park. From playing on the playground with my little brother to walking the trails with my high school sweet heart. I will always love this place and I will bring my family. Also, the bathrooms are lovely!

if you have kids, you play horse shoe's or play volleyball it's perfect. There is a great play ground with slides and swing's. Beach pit's and compaction horse shoe pits.

Lots of fun . Kids love the tire swing and the spinning seat , but they need more of those two things ! I like that they have restrooms and handicap swings however bathrooms could be cleaner.

I love this park! The people responsible for maintaining it, truly care about it. There's lots to do for all ages: fields for playing football or soccer etc, a baseball diamond, trails, horseshoe pits, pavilions and grills etc for get-togethers, and for the little ones there's a play center/area with swings and rope bridges and tunnels and just everything a kid needs to wear themselves out!! There was an incident a couple of weekends ago, where we were having my niece's birthday party at Brecknock Park and when we arrived to set up we found the park just completely trashed! Some group of HORRIBLE people had come out the night before and had some kind of DISGUSTING party, where they left the bathrooms in an undescribable state of horror, as well as, ALL their trash strewn across the park, which included liquor bottles and half smoked joints, and the worst was the insane number of heroin bags we found EVERYWHERE! The poor man who's the main person in charge of the park upkeep cares so much about his park that he came off vacation to come out and try to get take care of the damage these people had done! And one of the other workers was so upset about what she saw when she got there that she cried. Thankfully, there are good people in this world, who care, and between us, them, and the park staff, we got the majority of the trash and mess cleaned up in about an hour and a half and were able to enjoy my niece's birthday party in this wonderful park!

We had a very nice day out walking through the trails, met two very personal young ladies working in the wildlife center, they showed us where they were raising a Monash Butterfly and had larvae also. Plenty of space for activities, ballfield, horseshoe pits, and climbing apparatus for children.

This park used to have an awesome playground back in the day. I remember when it opened how nice it looked. Now, when I visit with my kid, the structure looks like it's falling apart. Maybe has a few years left, but due for an overhaul.

This is a convenient suburban park. Dogs are welcome on leash and poop bags are in evidence if you forget yours. There is play equipment, a mile long walking loop, a Parc ourselves style outdoor exercise area, a picnic Pavillion, an open area and rest rooms. All of this in a fairly compact area just off 13 in the Camden/Wyoming area. Ample parking close to all of the facilities. Park closes at dark and is gated.

Always a great place to go with family! Picnics, play dates, reunions, and more. Dont do much of it now, but I great place for running and walking. Different terrains make for an exciting venture! Up hill, down hill, gravel, dirt and roots to walk over.

This place is great. One of the best parks in the area. My only complaint is if you are with more than one kid and by yourself, its easy to lose sight of them. With how many psychos in this world I like to see where my kids are. Because of all the places they can climb through its easy to lose them. They have restrooms but never any soap and not the cleanest. But I guess I can't expect much from a public park.

This park has something for everyone. There is a 1 mile trail loop for walking ( no bikes allowed here), which is stroller and dog friendly. There are benches every 1/10 mile. Most of the route is shaded. There are a few large covered picnic areas, horse shoe pits, volleyball, and an extensive playground which is handicap accessible. The indoor toilets are pump water style. This is a nice place to take photos with rustic or natural backdrop. This is one of my favorite walking trails.
