Small nature preserve that offers beautiful scenery! The third Saturday in October brings the Blackbird Festival with family fun, educational adventures, local artisans selling their wares, and local groups, such as The Lions Club offering food to purchase.

Wonderful place. Did some volunteer work with the scouts and made the bird boxes clean and ready for next year. Very relaxed place, nice place for a walk or to clear your head. Just dont disturb the wildlife, look closely and you will find them!

The canoe/kayak ramp is very difficult to use and far from the parking. The ramp is made of small stones and after a heavy rain, only a thin covering over a creek bank of thick acrid mud. We sank to our thighs and the stones got lodged in our shoes. Perhaps it's usable after a drought, but painful otherwise. We wished they had a concrete ramp.
