Interesting country area with kindness people and $4.50 parking for two hours and $2.00 for each extra hour. The beach is Clear, Ocean waves not like in the Atlantic City- more and wild.

Did not walk on the boardwalk but did go there to look at the beach the see how the waves come in we use a go to Stone Harbor New Jersey the waves there are very nice but for our day trip for 10 minutes at Bethany Beach we did get a $30 ticket not good for a day trip the man was not nice. I walk with a cane I could not help the man understand that gave me the ticket I couldn't get back fast enough he would not listen Not a handicap friendly place

Want to enjoy the boardwalk without feeling overwhelmed by crowds and frat bros? Head less than 10 miles north of Ocean City to Bethany Beach. Great sand and ocean access, parking isn't too crazy, and the boardwalk experience is considerably less insane. Next summer I'll probably just skip Ocean City altogether for Bethany.

This is an adorable, beautiful little beach community. We were there technically after season so the parking was free but still pretty much everything was open and it was bustling but not overcrowded. Everyone is so nice & friendly and what I noticed again and loved most of all (this was my 2nd consecutive year going to BB for a beach retreat) is the community is also super dog friendly. It is definitely a place you hate to leave. PS I am a vegetarian and I could also find delicious food to eat even though a lot of emphasis on seafood.

Most of my life, I have gone to Rehoboth Beach. But my godparents and their family always went to Bethany Beach. I recently visited them in Bethany. I've been there before, and every time I've been there has been good. There are some decent restaurants, a nice Boardwalk, great Beach, and a few really good stores right by the water. Bethany bookstore is only half a block from the beach. Rehoboth Beach always be number one to me, the Bethany is number two in the area.

Great family oriented place to go. Lots of cute shops and good places to get snacks. It is no where as long as the ocean city Maryland one down the road about a half hour, but it's more quaint and peaceful. I have been going to bethany for 13 years. If you have a family with young kids, it's the best area to go. If you have money, sea colony is a fantastic place to stay.

It is not long as Ocean City, MD or has as many as shops however if you like less busy quieter place you would like here. Only has one public bathroom and 1 actual shower(there were more for foot) on left side of Garfield St so 4 stars.

We usually visit Rehoboth but decided to deviate and try Bethany. What a pleasure. The boardwalk is very narrow in width compares to Rehoboth and Ocean City. The food in Bethany is quite good. Parking wasn't an issue but we visited in March on a 70o day so while the area had a lot of traffic nothing compared to peak season. Cute Beach town. We look forward to returning.

Bethany Beach is just not what it use to be. Bethany Beach used to be this little adorable beach town, now it is a commercial resort town which lost a lot of it's coastal charm. The boardwalk was busy but too busy to just take a nice stroll without getting bumped by other people which is more relaxing. The store end of season sales are just starting. The beach was still busy but not like all summer which is also very relaxing to us. Plenty of space to stretch out without being in someone else's space.

Its overall nice but nowhere near enough parking. They have unnecessary decorative lawn medians down several streets that could easily fit alot more parking. I'm sure the residents dont want more parking spots but be prepared to drive around for almost an hour to find a spot.

After driving through Rehobeth and Dewey(both mobbed and no parking) we wound up at Bethany. There was parking, cost was reasonable ($2 an hour) and it was very close to the beach. The beach was clean and even better not crowded.

This is a small family beach. It can get crowded early but will begin to empty out after lunch. The metered parking is $2 per hour with a 2 hour max. There are metered parking spots on Garfield parkway. Finding parking during any busy time can be a nightmare. There are a handful of great little shops on the boardwalk and on each side of Garfield parkway. There is a playground/park on location aswell.

Not nearly as fun as Ocean City MD. It has a few cutesy stores and a quaint small town feel to it. If you want to spend the day at the beach, this is a nice place to go... if you can find parking. Parking was miserable on a holiday weekend. We were told it was kid friendly... my kids didnt have much fun. Kept asking to go home, because there was nothing to do. We didnt plan for a beach day. Should have gone to Funland instead.

A safe and well maintained beach and boardwalk in a family friendly community - annually, we usually rent a house near by for the week. Several nights during the week, the community organizes live music or movie night on the boardwalk.

This boardwalk is my childhood, and an anchor of tranquility in my head. Always a blessing to walk the length of it when I visit Bethany. I wish the dune wasn’t there, but it makes sense. I just feel bad kids can’t dig holes under there, play the dollar prank game, or simply escape the heat like I could with my cousins back in the day.
