We thoroughly enjoyed this cute park. We visited in autumn so the roses in the park weren't at their prime, though there are still some beautiful bushes that are well kept that we admired. We spent about an hour and a half here. There are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery on.

Went for the first time today. The park is free and no charge for parking. Beautiful rose gardens along with several acres of grounds. There was a small pond, lots of benches and trees for shade. There was also a cafe with a smaller snack area. You can't picnic there, parking can be tight on weekends and fair warning they allow wedding parties there. So that could keep you from getting into the nice gazebo in the center. Overall, worth the trip to go see it.

Beautiful park that is dog friendly. The flowers are beautiful and the landscaping is fantastic! A nice relaxing stroll through the park or just a quick bite at the restaurant. Either way, you will enjoy it! Highly recommend.

The park is really nice but rose garden was not as expected. There were very few roses and also the some plants seems to be dying. But the Dalia garden was good. Nice flowers. We also sat near the pond in the evening and it was quite pleasing. The picnic area seems good for small gathering and enjoy food with some play. Overall good experience

Beautiful park to visit! Never knew this existed until recently. There's a restaurant by a pond with water fountains - very picturesque! They also have a bonsai tree garden and in the summer, a gorgeous rose garden with many different kinds of roses. Lots of parking, but it still goes quickly, especially on a nice day.

A unique Big garden, well maintained with variety of events and facilities for general public to njoy & view & entertain one self is Elizabeth Park and it’s unique Rose garden. Park is having picnic area, cafe, small pond with fountain wherein u can leisurely sit on a bench and have beautiful view of greenery and see ducks in a pond playing/swimming /flying. Park has Rose garden, herb garden, Rock garden, annual garden and more. There are nearly -800- varieties of roses beautifully planted where in u can have selfies and photos . Many photo shoots done here, wedding and other events are also being done here. A must visit place rather cool eventful PARK.

Flower garden in the summer is really nice. Also free tennis court is additional advantage. Good place for wedding ceremony and one small restaurant to taste food. Other than this not much activity we can do here.

The most beautiful park in Hartford is here. If you are a flower lover, the best time to visit is between March and July. On March 15 and March 16, 2019 they have Spring Greenhouse show 2019 at the Elizabeth park. In May roses begin to bloom and you will feel lost in the garden when you step into the garden of roses with a variety of roses and many colorful colors.

This rose garden is a beautiful place to visit on a lovely day with your favorite loved one. My wife and I spent the early morning of our 15th wedding anniversary in the center rotunda; this free park nestled in West Hartford provided a beautiful start to our 2nd half of a decade of well earned love & happiness. The rotunda center of the main rose garden is protective from the sun while still providing ample light to read, have lunch or as we did celebrate a special occasion; the rest of the park is just amazing and begs to be explored. There is no fees involved at all with the parking or entrance so, FREE day at the park!!!

Love, love, love it here! My friend Gina invited me to go to the tulip show on St. Patrick's day and the flowers were spectacular! They also have planting and plant care events that you can go to and learn about gardening. Will definitely go back!

Great place to go with your child, family, friends....the playground. In the other side, there's an event venue such as wedding....there's a restaurant, garden, river....so many things to enjoy. And clean too. We enjoyed ourselves every time we went.

Beautiful rose garden in Hartford. Ground is well maintained. Rose garden festival in middle of June is a good time to visit as most rose varieties are in or near full bloom. Very nice staff. Good place for a family to spend time outdoors or enjoy a picnic.

The flowers,the rose gardens are beautiful. They have four free concerts this summer. People were bringing in there food and wine to drink as they watched the band play. People who just want to sit and relax can do that and for those who want to play tennis or just go walking can do that as well. And they also have a snack stand. I personally enjoy the park simply because I proposed to my wife in the rose garden.

Visited from out of town, fabulous expansive rose garden, 800 varieties, such beautiful colors. Gorgeous, giant dahlias, and many other flowers. There are ponds with fountains and ducks w lots of benches on which to sit and relax. There are tons of massive oaks providing plenty of shade. A great place to relax on the weekend.

One of nicest state parks in New England! Beautiful flowers and lots of grassy areas to walk, run, bike, tan or walk your pets. Best time to see flowers would be in May or June as this time of year, they were getting dried out. There is a snack shack and some tables to have gatherings or picnics. Please make sure to dump your trash as there are many receptacles lining the parking lots and trails.

I found out about Elizabeth Park from a co-worker who had her wedding here. It's definitely such a romantic spot and we decided to use it for our engagement photos. It looks like some others also had the same idea but the park is big enough that there is space for everyone to take photos. It wasn't too busy on a Friday evening right before sunset but parking was still hard to find around 6:30pm. A lot of the flowers were still in full bloom but I was bummed that we missed the roses on the arches. Either way though, it was so so beautiful here and I'm really excited to see how the photos come out!

This is a beautiful park to walk around, and enjoy the well kept gardening. I believe they even have community garden spaces for those who want to grow vegetables or flowers. We had family photos done there, and the natural backdrop was a beautiful addition.

What a great place to have a picnic or a wedding. Absolutely gorgeous!!! Maps are found in the north side at entrance in middle. No dogs inside rose garden. Pickup after your dogs please so we can all enjoy it.

I was at a wedding here and the staff has this down. Everything ran so smoothly. I will suggest this to everyone as my first choice from now on. The food was excellent! Feeding 90ppl in one hour and fifteen minute was just Unbelievable. The staff worked together so well. The Pond House has delicious food well worth the trip.

It's a beautiful park set just outside the city of Hartford. The roses are amazing along with other flower species. There's a walking path around the park which includes all the gardens and the pond. If the walk is too short for you hop on one of the sidewalks for a stroll down a picturesque side street.

It is good place for jogging, walking and hanging out with kids but it didn't touch me. Maybe because, I went during extreme day hours and the sun was burning. Overall, I think it needs some development, specially that artificial little lake needs some cleanliness as it has started stinking. Best part of this park is flowers. I went there last week with my husband and friend and Actually I was expecting it would be very big and a lot of trees and flowers. But this park was a little smaller and not much flowers than I thought. So I was a little disappointed. But if I come back when the Roses are blooming in June,July it would be much beautiful. I also tried a coffee at 'pond house cafe'. But their service and coffee taste wasn't that good. But on the whole, it's calm and a beautiful place. so I will definitely try again.
