I was blown away with how cute this place was! It was established a long time ago and it's so beautiful nestled in the mountains! This place is geared towards younger children, although my 9 year old enjoyed herself too! I highly recommend the train since you get to see some extra cute houses and other quaint things that you cannot otherwise see. Perfect price point!
So much fun. Got rained out but still had fun walking in the rain. Nice people great family fun.
Cute little place! Took my 1.5 year old and he had a great time. It is very reasonably priced, we only stayed about an hour but for $7 it was worth it.
I've been coming here since I was little and now I get to bring my grandchildren. I'm so glad it wasn't permanently shutdown back in n the 80's.
Tiny Town is an amazing place for kids and adults. It is very affordable and is a wonderful place to make amazing memories!!!
Beatiful place. The railway tour is recomended!
It was so awsome, it made me feel like a kid again. i really enjoyed this layed back place and the icecream cones ....delish.. the railroad instructor (Doug) was a very warm hearted fellow he was wonderful so make sure and say hi to him he was very knowledgeable about everything. Elvira the queen B .... she was a very warm hearted lady love talking to her, overall just a lovely place to go with anyone from 2 months - 100 years old you will have a wonderful layed back experience thank you tiny town.....(!# A roofer having a good time #!)
Another Colorado gem. Great place to take the kids on the way up or down from the mountains. Not too far from Denver but maybe not quite enough to do to justify making a day of it. Dinosaur ridge isn't far from here, we did tiny town then dinosaur ridge. Both great entertainment for kiddos! Fun little train ride. Interesting sights.
Took the kids to see the world's smallest town. And we all had a blast
The young kids love to look in all the windows of the buildings and try to figure out what it is. As an adult, I appreciated the history displayed in some of the buildings as there are a lot of Colorado historical buildings on display. We arrived to late to take the train this time. But it is a fun way for the kids to see the whole town before you walk through the displays. Some of the displays are only viewable by train. They also have a nice gift shop and snack bar. Make sure that you check their hours before you go.
This place is beyond precious. I brought my two boys ages 2 and 5 and easily killed 2 hours. The playground is a bonus, obviously the train ride is the main attraction, but there is so much to see. The best part is how affordable this place is. I'd imagine children under the age of 10 would enjoy this.
A very fun place for the younger kids, the train ride is cool and parents who dig history will find some fun little gems. We will visit again!
Good place to spend a couple hours with kids. They can visit the tiny houses, play at the playground, eat ice cream at the concession and take the train through fun forest scenes. The reason I take a star off is that some of the trains emit a huge amount of smoke all the time, bad for the environment, and very unpleasant, irritates throat, damages lung. The rest don't. I wish all the trains are upgraded like that.
The train is a wonderful loop around the park. Our 1.5 year old loved it.
A lot of fun and prices were very reasonable.
It makes you feel like you're a giant
It has been about 20 years since I was last at tiny town. It was better than I remembered it for sure. The buildings were really cool and detailed. My two kids absolutely had a blast going inside the buildings and looking inside the ones they couldn't to discover unique decorations and certain occasions being celebrated by the cute little figures inside, I couldn't keep my hands off my camera to capture every moment of nostalgia. The train ride is a must as it takes you on about a ten minute ride around tiny town to look at the original buildings and a few unique little replicas of buildings in Colorado. Tiny town is a great place to spend about an hour and a half at a very cheap rate. Highly recommend.
Nice staff. Nice shady picnic tables. Fun place for my kids birthday.
My kids love things place! And you can bring a picnic lunch. Cheap fun
Fun family friendly 100 year old park. Stroll through the Tiny Town, play on the playground, have a picnic under the beautiful trees, take a ride on one of the tiny trains. Enjoy a refreshment or ice cream and visit the gift shop. Small, …
This is a great place for anyone younger than 6 years old.
Everyone says it's not like you remember when you were a kid, they are probably right but just because its smaller than I remember. But, for a young kid it is awesome! So cheap to get in and so close! My son loved it! Well definitely be back soon!
Loved this place! I might be biased as they had buildings for "Grant" Automotive and "Schow" Lumber... across the street from each other no less. Pack a lunch and kill half a day with the family. Your kid's faces will light up while exploring the tiny town and the interior scenes. They also have a small steam engine that takes you around the park and into areas you can't walk to.
A fun, quaint attraction for all ages. It is very well priced and your visit can be enjoyable no matter how short or long it is.
Have to be in the right mindset, but great roadtrip stop. Kids loved the train ride!
Mother's day. Not very busy. Lovely day. Road the train, had ice cream. 16 month old grandson loved waiving at the train as it went by. Conductors very friendly. Many of the minature structures are accessible to small children.
Always fun my daughter loved it so...
Very (good) different then when i was a kid. Conductors are funny and friendly. Great short trip for some mountain.
Fun way to spend the day. My toddler loved the train, running around the houses, and playing on the playground. Very cheap and so worth it.
Beautiful day, train ride, ice cream, tiny houses, playground, bench in the shade. All good.
This is a great place to walk around very fun and I think you should try the train out it is also very cheap it is about $3 for kids and $7 for adults and the train ride is $2 for everyone I am pretty sure so I totally recommend
Quaint, friendly. My grandkids loved it!
Great for little ones. Affordable adventure just outside of Denver.
What a gem! Our 2 year old loved it and we did too. The staff was very friendly. Can’t wait to go back.
My children (3 and 10) liked it there. They enjoyed the roundtrip with the train most. We were lucky because on the day of our visit the local firebrigarde was there and the children could look into the car and could do some firefighting.
Good place for kids, but surprisingly crowded and really far out of the way. Not much for adults to do.
Just one of those things you have to do at least once. It's bigger than expected, the buildings that are recreated have an interesting history, and it's inexpensive.
Cool place for something to do...
I have an almost 4 year old and a toddler (almost 16 months). This was a fantastic activity for both kids. It's not overwhelming and both kids could access the sights at their own level. They had fun on the playground and absolutely loved the train. It was an affordable outing as well, which I appreciated. The only thing I would do differently is to put my toddler in long pants and closed shoes. He fell multiple times and got lots of rocks in his little sandals. As an adult, I also enjoyed looking at all the tiny things and reading about some of the historical places.
Fun place for kids and fascinating for adults. The miniature homes with fine details such as live settings in a saloon, school, theatre, gas station, etc using dolls and other toys; a nine minute mini train ride with various engine models (gas and electric powered) that takes you around the tiny town (including a tunnel and Jurassic section!); and topped with a concession shop, a gift shop, a picnic area under the trees and a children's playground! Definitely a unique touring place that is not to be missed.
Our three girls were so excited as they discovered one tiny building and then the next and the next. Their excitement was contagious because I couldn't help but find myself examining the miniature contents of each building with delight! Don't skip the train and ice cream treat - it really rounds off the experience! Enjoy!
Great family place to go even with older kids.
Love the details and variety on the small buildings, whereas the kids are just thrilled with feeling like grown ups or giants. It is well worth a detour, even if you're pressed for time.
Pretty cool for younger kids. They have a park and lots of picnic tables as well so pack a lunch and enjoy
Pricey for what you get but a fun place to take little kids.
Excellent prices and you can bring outside food in for a picnic. There is also a place on site to purchase food/ice cream/refreshments and a gift shop. The train ride is cheap and there is a playground at the end of the park to help kids burn off excess excitement energy.
Super cute! It's a great place to entertain your kids for an hour or two (probably not more unless you have a train obsessed toddler on your hands). The gift shop has a lot of reasonably priced toys, the buildings are unique and have …
Loved this tiny town adventure! The little buildings are totally awesome! The detail inside the buildings is really neat. The roofing shingles are little size too! The train ride around Tiny Town was a nice little ride. It is really …
Love coming here, always beautiful scenery and lots of fun. Definitely should go on train ride, takes you around Tiny town so you can see other things. Has portable restrooms also so that's not a issue. The gift shop is super small and probably one of the things that would be better if larger and sold more things. Also the refreshment stand/ice cream booth ONLY TAKES CASH which was super disappointing because I'm like everyone else now days and only uses debit, they need to get with the times on this because my 2 year old wanted ice cream but couldn't cause it was cash only..But cool little summer activity.
Much less screaming children than I expected, fun especially for the adults that have been to a lot of these miniaturized buildings. Not expensive at all, lots of shade, highly recommend the train! Everyone in our group of 6 (a baby, a toddler, a teen, and 3 older adults) loved it!
This is a great place to spend a couple of hours. There are plenty of picnic tables and a snack bar if you don't bring your own picnic. The train ride takes around ten minutes and takes you on a loop where you can see all kinds of themed areas like Boot Hill and even a covered bridge. In addition to the restrooms at the gift shop, there are port-a-potties throughout the place.
Come here every year and now bring the Grandkids.
It's a step back in time. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The little ones love it.
I give this place 5 stars because it's authentic and mostly volunteers work there. This place is pretty much for toddlers. This place has a 9 minute train ride, small model houses, a park, gift shop and a small eating area. It's a small place. But a fun place for your tots that's only 30 minutes west of Denver.
Great place! FRIENDLY STAFF
Good place for kids and big kids! Always a good time!
You can be in a world where not only your a giant but everything is small
What a reflection of a simpler past..started in early 1900s when kids did not have all distractions to entertain them..kids still love looking into the windows and ride the train..be sure to let your kids enjoy these simple pleasures.
Absolutely my favorite place on earth
I really enjoy watching my kids enjoy a place I loved when I was a kid. It's a great place to have a picnic, walk around, look at some cool old models and ride the train. The only problem is like most things near Denver it's getting really pricey
Small kids will love it. It is a bit of a tourist trap.
It's kind of magical! Make sure you take time to look inside the windows at the details or you will miss a lot, we saw a lot of people just passing by without looking
So fun for kids.
Really fun! Little ones had a great time
Such a great place. The kids love it. Gets crowded at times.
Great place to come enjoy the outdoors with your littles My son loved the train ride and everything is so affordable!
Awesome place to spend the afternoon....grand kids love it
Tiny town is definitely “tiny” but worth the visit.
Had a great time there. Loved the mountain scenery. Area is frequented by some amazing and very colorful birds. Loved the history and the train ride. The gift shop was nice and they had awesome burgers.
Brought my kiddo here she loved it all the little houses and train ride. Very inexpensive if your looking for something cheap and fun to take your kids. It's kinda up the mountain a little way so it's a little woodsey which is cool ita kinda like a getaway to the mountains without actually going to the mountains! Because it's only like 10 minutes up 285 from 470.
Our visit to Tiny town was an overall very enjoyable experience, it was the perfect place for our 1 1/2 year old to have a blast while exploring the buildings and the whole family had fun on the train ride! The staff we encounted from the man at the ticket booth to the train engineers were very friendly and great with the children! My only complaint would be the woman who says she “runs” the concession stand, as we were outside looking the menu, a Duck was also wondering around in the picnic area, this woman proceeds to feeds the duck popcorn, this of course intrigues the children but as soon as the children approach she begins yelling at them to get away and when they asked why she tells them very harshly “because I said so! And I run things around here!” This woman’s negative attitude towards the children caused our family to decide not to buy anything from “her” concession stand.. disappointing, but besides that tiny town is a very cool and fun place for the whole family.
This place is magical for kids. A must-do. Worth the drive and the visit for sure.... if you can bring your own food it’s worth it. What they have is overpriced and not healthy.
This place is great for kids there is a cool train and you can get ice cream after you get off the train, it a really nice place!!
It was great to see the town again, after not being there for 60 yrs.. fun for my 7 yr. old grandson, especially the train ride...
This place is really cute but I'm giving it four stars instead of give because you pay a decent amount for what you are getting. The little replica houses are fun, my kiddos enjoy the playground that is suited to all ages. The rain ride cost extra but if you are going you might as well do the rain ride too. Their are a few of the little houses to climb into for the kids. Overall a great place!
Great place to take the kids and interesting for adults. Highly recommend the train ride! Our train engineer, Dennis, was great with all the kids and made the day even more enjoyable.
Really cute and fun place. Had all the amenities needed for a kids outing (e.g changing table, snack shop, etc.). Gift shop was surprisingly affordable with some really great deals. Some houses are interactive. Good play place. So around perfect for littles. Make sure to ride the train! Some things can only be seen via train ride. We just wish we could access the creek and lush grass for a relaxing picnic, but these areas are off limits.
It's nice place
My daughter who is almost 2 love this place. The tiny buildings, playground and the trains are great. The downside is one of the trains is coal powered so you do get the smell of sulfur and smoke. If respiratory issues you may not want …
We love the small scale train rides here!!
We visited with a group of friends and a bunch of kids, aged newborn through 8. All ages seemed to enjoy tiny town, and the train ride was great! There are restrooms by the train, and port-a-potties further down the path, but no need to use them unless it's an emergency. There is a playground at the end of the path also. And a creek with a split rail fence, so keep an eye on your runners
Great spot for kids. There's a train ride that goes around the entire place.
Kids loved it but i thought it fell pretty flat. House aren't kept up very well at all. Also not much else to do there besides look away the tiny houses
There was a lot of cool places including a train and a playground.
Awesome experience! Super cheap! Only $19 for two adults and one child to visit and do the train ride! The train conductors are so funny!
Grew up coming here as well, brought my grand daughter. Wasn't able to take pictures but website has great pictures. Would recommend.
Loads of fun with the kids. 3 year old loved the wind mill and the playground was nice too. The train ride was fun too!! There coffee shop across the street is awesome with delicious breakfast burritos!
This adorable little town is meant for both kidlets and kids at heart. The darling tiny town has its own neighborhoods, a jail, even stables for the tiny horses! (Not real horses.) If you look around, you'll even see the famous Stanley Hotel, nestled in the mountains. The train ride was fantastic.
Great place for all. Lots to see and train is fun for everyone.
Very interesting and had a great time.
Very cool, my 5 yo daughter loved it!
I would recommend this for tourists and locals alike. If you are just passing through, it's a fun kitsch stop to take some adorable photos up in the mountains without having to stray too far out of your way. If you are local to the area this is a fantastic way to spend a morning or an afternoon with kids under 8. The train is delightful and there are exhibits for kids to view as well as walk through. My 15 month old thoroughly enjoyed himself here. It is $7/adult once you include the train ride. Not bad for the amount of entertainment and adorable photos you get.
Great no stress place to visit with a toddler.
If your child loves trains, this is the place to go. Old school fun. A quaint little spot and just a short jaunt from town. My 4 year old can't get enough! Going back today!
A cheap place to spend an hour or so. A train ride, handful of tiny buildings kids can go in, and a decent sized playground. Lots of tables in the shade to eat lunch. Snack shop is cash only, I thought the lady working there was nice and friendly. Side note, the coffee shop across the street is amazing and serves lunch and many treats. Lots of options for adults and kids, so next time we will skip Tiny Town's snack shop and just go there after.
This place was amazing for small children. Even if you are older you will probably enjoy this they have special places like Harley Davidson and the Addams family mansion. The railroad is very fun to see everything.
Had a great time there for Mother's day. Great for the little ones.
Great picnic area. Train is worth the couple bucks.
Most of the fun is the train ride so it's a bummer to pay entrance and then an additional fee for this. It's an interesting tourist attraction but not worth the time as compared to other train rides in the area
This place is one of the best places to take your kids. It's such a happy place. I'm 73 yrs old and I have been coming here since was about 5 yrs old and I just love it.
We loved visiting Tiny town! Our kids (ages 2 and 4) had a blast as well. The train took us around the tiny town (you see some areas otherwise off limits which was fun) and we also really enjoyed looking in all the houses. There are 5 or so houses kids can go into and my girls really enjoyed that as well. Lots of picnic tables in the shade to eat on or sit and watch kids play on the playground. Bathrooms are at the entrance of there are portable bathrooms along the walk. Easily a place you can spend an hour at or stay longer and eat lunch, play etc and spend half the day.
My kids love this place. Quaint and quirky. Quick 30 minutes from South Denver. Riding the train is always a highlight. You can bring your own picnic. Nice shady areas and a playground for kids. Don't be fussy. It has a family, laid-back atmosphere.
What a great time. A "little" look at Colorado history and a great time for the little and the big. Bring a picnic but save a little room for ice cream! We will definitely be back and recommend Tiny Town to families. The train ride is awesome! All of the engineers are so friendly and informative. This place is an icon and one of my daughter's new favorite places!
Really nice and pretty some of the stuff is worn out but it's a good place to go with your kids
It was so much fun it was my husband and I first time ever going to Tiny Town and we enjoy it it was cheap $5 for adults and $3 for children it was really fun
The kids and I have loved coming to tiny town every summer. The train ride is the best and a ice cream after.
First timers. Was very surprised. Had a lot of fun with our 18 month old granddaughter. Needs some updating.
I'm reviewing this as my 3 year old grandson would. He loved the houses, train ride and eating ice cream on the small kids bench. He had a 5 star family friendly relaxed time. Now as an adult I had a 4 star time. Restrooms are porta potties, the grounds are just a bit run down, but gosh - the retired men who were the train engineers made up for that. Relaxed old fashioned family fun.
Amazing and affordable day trip with kids! A nice train ride, concessions and gift shop. Super friendly employees and the tiny town is so fun. You can walk up to most of them and peak inside to see little lives set up. I recommend the train ride first then walking through the town to a neat playground at the end. There are picnic tables all around too for picnicking.
This place is absolutely charming and fun for the kids! It's a great place for a family outing seems not only do the have a place to buy food, they also allow you to bring your own in and there are plenty of picnic tables!
Kids love it....especially the buildings you can enter like the fire house and jail. Also nice shady places to picnic while kids are on the playground.
Pure joy for little ones and fun for adults too! Lots of benches in the shade to have a seat and take in the views. The volunteers are all top notch.
This place is great for the kids young kids and very affordable
Tiny town is fun to check out. They have a little train you can ride. Lots of scales houses mostly donated and visitor funds help up keep.
Fun place. Go every summer and it’s busy and the places and houses are great! The train is fun
Tiny Town was cute and reasonably priced. It was fun to look at the detail in some of the buildings, and my kids especially loved going inside a few. The train ride was a highlight as well. If you plan to do that, you'll have less of a wait if you do it early! They have a concession area, but you can also bring in food and drink to enjoy at a small picnic area near the playground at the far end of the attraction. The staff we encountered weren't really friendly, but no one was rude. There are some buildings that are only visible during the train ride (including Coney Island and the Air Force Academy Chapel). The train passes so quickly that it's easy to miss those or not get a good look. I'm sure that's probably intentional to entice people to buy a train ticket, but I do wish we could have seen them without being on the train, even if from a distance.
Great place for children. Train, tiny home, and playset with swings.
Great place to spend a couple hours. My 3 year old loved the train ride (which was great for adults too!), and exploring all the little houses. The playground was superb.
Great small town place for the kiddos. Reasonably priced
Great place for an afternoon. Bring a light coat just in case. Bring a picnic and the family, too!
I loved this place as a very small child, and decided to take my own kids up here just to see what it was like. I was worried it would be in disrepair and would ruin the magic of my childhood memories, but I was so happy to discover it is well kept and still as adorable as ever. Time has not changed it at all, which is hard to say about many things. Totally a nostalgic, lovely little attraction (and very affordable!)
Always a fun and enjoyable time. My kids are not so tiny anymore and still enjoy coming and riding the train. This is a must if you are close by!
Great and friendly environment for kids
Be outdated but cool little picnic area.... Favorite was the Addams Mansion!!
Awesome lil place to take the kids
A wonderful place for young children to be kids.
Took the grandkids, they enjoyed it as much as my kids did. Was kind of sad that some of the buildings needed more upkeep. If they held a day in the springtime for adult volunteers to repair & paint some of the buildings, with the right advertising I bet plenty of people would show up. I sure would! The volunteer train conductors were so friendly. We had to take the train twice, in case we missed something! Definitely a hidden gem for all ages.
This place is Absolutely fun for all ages! There's a train the family can ride, you're in between mountains, you can take your own food and there's tables for you and your family to enjoy a picnic. If you have little ones, this place is a MUST to come and visit!
Great place to take your little ones. From many replica miniature buildings(some the kids can actually get into) to the kid size train ride and a playground at the end = hours of fun in the sun. Well worth the price of admission. I am sure our little one will be talking about the visit for a long time.
Great place to take a stroll and look at tiny places. Love the mini train ride (a lot) and playground area.
Priceless memories. I went here as a kid and loved the train ride where I could sit in the caboose and watch the beautiful tiny houses go by. I took my wife and daughter to visit grandma and to no surprise it was a hit for my daughter. She loved the little houses and rode the train twice! Very affordable and hours of fun. They feature a good snack shack and a small park for kids to run around on so you can sit and enjoy time with your family or loved ones nearby on a bench. Downtown Morrison is nearby with great food as well so make it a day trip!
If you have any interest in learning about Colorado in a fun a kids type way, you gotta take the time and drive into the Rockies for this little hidden gem. Well worth the drive and the looks on the faces. Me and the family had a blast without xbox,PlayStation, or over expensive amusement park. I promise you will love it.
More people need to know about the History and is a Fun experience for Everyone. Don't miss it!
You can go inside some of the houses. The kids liked the park. Didn't find it worth the drive not price of admission for my 1 and 3 year olds.
Great idea to spend an afternoon with the kids! 2$ train rides and $2.75 soft kiddie ice cream cones
Affordable fun! Easy walking for the grandparents too!
Great little place for kids and adults. The tiny train ride around the town was great! Make sure to sit the little ones in the caboose they'll love it! Soft serve ice
What a unique and fun experience for our family!! The train is always the highlight, but our little ones have such a great time in the town itself. Bring a picnic.
