REVIEWS OF Yosemite National Park IN California

Derek Bennett

This is absolutely one of the greatest wonders in the world. Absolutely unbelievable how much you can do and see so every time I go I make sure to take advantage and see as much as possible. Leaving here is hard.

Kinga Dymek

Loved the park, even though it was very crowded with tourists from all over the world. The rangers and other staff members were friendly and very helpful

Marisa Thomas

Beautiful and breathtaking views. Very crowded, but definitely worth seeing. The history, and experience of such lovely nature is worth the effort!

Cristian Ramirez

One of the most incredible place I have been in my life. Amazing landscapes, big rocks, waterfalls, thousands of trails, wild animals, creek water, campgrounds,a couple general stores and gasoline’s. My best advice would he come with a lot of food, then enjoy the week, try to stay as much you can, totally worth it

Regina Rodriguez

It's so beautiful... with breathtaking views that will leave you in "awe!" of this awesome land God created and gave us (whom He also created) to dwell on. Absolutely gorgeous! Feeling grateful... Thank you Lord!

Soogar Cubic 21

When we went there it was very beautiful, but when we went to park there was no parking available at all, and I mean no parking, all spots were taken and you had to almost hunt the parking spot down as if it was a rare artifact. Please make sure to count how many people you bring in and not allow too many people or else it will be a waste of there time.

Gail Abbett

A very good park ! 5 stars. This is a hidden treasure on the peninsula with views of both the bay and the ocean. The hike wasn't too difficult !The further we went up, the more rewarding the view. We'll be back .

Nicola Curry

Amazing place, a must do if your in the area. There are many levels of hikes you can take both simple, intermediate and advanced. It has been a dream of mine to visit Yosemite and I was not disappointed. It was truly amazing.

Dianna Bennett

It is indeed a beautiful park! The environment was such an amazing site to look at. The beauty of nature is truly breathtaking. My family and I loved the hiking part of the park. If you just want a quiet place to be in with your family. Go to Yosemite! I highly recommend!

Krista Stone

Breathtaking if you have never seen half dome it's well worth the $35 to get into the park. Almost a endless number of camping sites, we stayed at porcupine flats, the rangers were very helpful even if they were volunteers

Angela Kirkpatrick

Great natural beauty. The several hikes we took were paved. Well worth the trip. Will probably be back.

Tyler Kane

Gorgeous Park! So much to see and do; it’s like it’s own little camping town.

Michelle Good

This is a beautiful place. Especially, Yosemite Valley. However I recommend taking a bus tour if you have a fear of narrow steep roads. Plus you can look and enjoy rather than focus on the road

Lee brown

Such a great and beautiful place. I can't wait to return again. Amazing trip and the Rangers and staff there are amazing and very helpful.

Jacob A

You already know that Yosemite will be one of the best places you will visit and you want to come here one day. Come sooner. Don't wait long to see Yosemite. It was heart breaking to learn about how native people of Yosemite were treated.

David Smith

Yosemite National Park is renowned for its granite cliffs and waterfalls. Half Dome and El Capitan are two of the formations made famous by photographer Ansel Adams. The valley is open year-round for camping, hiking, and climbing. Traffic is congested during peak season and park rangers encourage visitors to use the free shuttle system.

Janice Wood

Entering from Tioga Pass there is miles of scenic stops, a visitors center, walking trails and places to put your toes into icy creeks or little lakes. There is an entry fee per car to be admitted. If you have an annual national park permit it is free admission.

David Kastelein

Really beautiful and a lot of nice hikes for everyone, from experienced hikers to not so experienced hikers. It can be really busy so plan ahead and you will have a great time. Plan your visit and always bring a refillable water bottle, their are plenty off water fountains around he park.

Keith Larsen

Amazing place to be. John Muir/Mist trail is a great way to see what Yosemite has to offer. The Cloud's Rest summit is worth the strenuous hike.

Kris Snook

A major forest fire made massive amount of smoke to drift through Yosemite valley and really made the experience less than optimal. Sad. But everything else was great

Daniel Cooper

Words are not good enough to describe. You have to visit to understand the soul-filling, dream-like paradise that is this national treasure.

Justin McClintock

Amazing National Park. Great clean visitors centers with good informative exhibits and shops. Very popular and can be congested. Suggest using in park transportation on busy days. Lots of natural beauty and worth preserving.

Katharine Zamesnik

Love this park so much. The beauty, the wonder, the weather! Yes, it's crowded, but if you go into the back country you can really get some solitude. Amazing hiking trails!

Darrin Rice

Yosemite is a mountain paradise of placid rivers, verdant forest glens, soaring rock formations, and majestic cascading waterfalls, all accessible via numerous campsites and trails of varying difficulty. Yosemite is the world's premier natural cathedral; a locale that inspires awe at every turn and, in most geologically grand fashion, bears perpetual testimony of, and pays enduring homage to, The Eternal, Almighty Creator Himself. You simply MUST visit.

cyndie antonio

The place has many things to offer, as far as your eyes can see, from trees to granite, to waterfalls, hike, swim or just listen to the leaves of the trees. There are shuttle buses for free if you want to go to different destinations and then hike. Maps are available at visitor centers.

Mr. Mrs.

One of the best places I've ever been...this is my happy place. The visit was under not so pleasant weather, but the smile in my face just stayed. They have good shops. There is lots to enjoy in their own little town. But, the best thing about this place, is being outdoors in nature and with the wildlife. My favorite things to do here are hikes and photography. The perfect place to get away from it all. If you've never been, you should consider going. For military service members and veterans, there is a pass that will get you in for free, for life. There are also other discounts available, just go to their site. Oh, and the pass I mentioned is for all State National Parks, U.S. wide. There are also campsites, hotels, and restaurants on location. Enjoy! -Q♡

Kristina Derosier

As a Canadian I can honestly say I hope you enjoy the beauty god has placed on your doorstep. Worth a drive no matter who you are. Stand under the waterfalls or just take in the complexity and scale of nature.

Chris Mcloughlin

Absolutely fantastic place to visit We came to America to travel around and see these wonderful places and I must say that Yosemite has to be added to your itinerary. The beautiful landscape, the clear rivers and waterfalls, the abundant wild life (we didn't see any bears) makes this a destination not to be missed.

Venom Squanch

There's so many people, it's like having a firsthand experience of an ant's life. There's paths to branch off and explore away from the cacophony but good luck finding a moment of solitary peace.

Jennifer Franco

This place is breathtaking. Photos don’t to justice. Vernal falls/Nevada falls, great experience. I don’t know why people drink while hiking, but that’s just me, I guess.

Jackie Clark

10/10, amazing. You just can't beat the beautiful views from every viewpoint. It's best to arrive early to secure a parking spot and just take the shuttle around.

Mel Mell

Drove for 8 hrs to visit, only had enough time for the 2 hr Valley Floor Tour but it was so worth it to visit this place that has touched so many people! Our guide was TERRIFIC! I wish I could remember her name, she came 17 months ago to the park for a visit and never left! I can't say I blame her.

Jonathan Shapiro

Took my breath away !!! Felt like a dream. Running by the rivers with a background out of the movies, was outstanding. Commuting throughout the day made my family happy. Thank you Rangers for your service.

beth flowers

Amazing. Gorgeous. Wonderful. Outstanding. Picturesque. Beautiful. Crowded, busy natural park with views everywhere. Hard to find parking space, some main lots full. Park shuttle offers transportation to some features.

Sharvari Shahane

Undoubtedly the most beautiful place. Loved every sec of it. Very serene, peaceful. Just didn't want to leave that place. Drawback is too many people and no parking spaces.

Sara Elzas

Yosemite Valley is a beautiful place in California. This amazing valley is surrounded by tall mountains and dense forest of pine trees. Be it sunrise or sunset, the view will never fail to impress you. Awesome place!

alex bush

Beautiful and massive park. Many trails to do. If you don't wanna hike you can walk around the valley it's gorgeous. Wildlife everywhere but don't feed or touch them they could have diseases.

Karina Carmona

Yosemite National Park is such a relax place, the views and nature are to died for. I went for 4 days and didn't want to come back, I did 10 miles hike every day and need it more time to explore more, is an awesome family place and is great to be out of technology and have a great time talking and exploring together.

Nancy Bailey

This is by far the most beautiful, amazing, gorgeous place I have ever seen! Unspoiled by tourists even though millions have visited. The national parks and wildlife have taken excellent care to preserve this place.

Mike Richard

The experience is about finding the face of God on Earth.. To see God in all things created by him, always is a worthy goal . Yosemite makes that quest easier. This world needs that right now.God is love.

Prasshannt K

One of the most beautiful places on the earth. I would go there upon every opportunity that I get. Photos won't make any justice, nor the words. Go there at least once in your lifetime and experience feeling a spec of dust in front of the giant valley and astounding El Capitan and Half Dome.

Diane Gillespie

A must see in a lifetime. The rock formations are very inspiring. You feel very small. This is a sacred place to take in.

Katiria Perez

Breathtakingly beautiful. I will definitely come back as the one day I spent there was not enough to see it all

Lisa Tuholski

Yosemite is a natural treasure, with more stunning vistas than I have seen in any other national park. Less visible wildlife than Yellowstone. If you really want to get out in wilderness and be reminded how beautiful the planet is, Yosemite is the place to go.

M Tuc

I haven't been to Yosemite in many many years. We joined my in laws to go camping and it was my daughter and husband's first time to Yosemite. Stunning views of course. If you're able to get a spot on the Valley floor area you're golden. They have the showers there, cafe/lodge area, swimming pool, you're able to get to the hiking areas better. We were at a higher elevation in Crane Flats. Which, there is a gas station there. Only really complaint is that, they have the bear box to store your food in or any items that might attract bears. It's not big enough. Especially if you're camping with a big family. Other than that, it's a wonderful place.

Jacob And Chloe Saunders

Well worth the drive and cost to get in! Amazing sights and hikes! Many wildlife encounters on the drive in

Misha

Gorgeous Park! I've done the Waterfall trail in the Valley, which is pretty high in altitude, but very worth the view. Taking a take to drive on the road 120 then going to Glacier Point for sunset is a must! You can also go to Glacier Point at night to see the stars. I went on the first week of July and tons of people were on the road. I'd recomand going during September when there are less people.

Andreu Costa

No picture can really represent what you will see and feel at Yosemite. Worth every minute, no matter your age or condition. Just go, enjoy and help to preserve it as it is.

Rich Murphy

A must see for people that love nature. One of the best National Parks. Suggest you go in "off season" to avoid the large crowds.

Phượng Thanh

Amazing place, very nice view. We like to go hiking and see the mountains.

Laura Starkie

Loved our stay at Yosemite. We stayed in the curry village, they have presentations on in the evenings which were very informative, we learnt a lot about the National Park while we were there. We saw dear every morning when walking to breakfast. Views are beautiful.

Nick Dietlein

Wow! I have been to 6 National Parks, all amazing in their own right. Yosemite is the crown jewel and takes your breath away. I will be going back again!

Lupita Salazar

Really nice, amazing views, mother nature looks amazing in every single inch of the park, we hike and got in the lake. However the employees can not really locate you they tell you something and is like totally wrong, you cant ask questions to the employees that are directing the traffic when the traffic is bumper to bumper. All the employees were rude.

T. Eff.

What can I say, it's YOSEMITE!! Beautiful doesn't begin to describe it. All around amazing views. As a local though, I'd say the amount of people visiting is very stressful. The traffic is as if you're downtown LA. The visitors drive very dangerously. They put themselves and everyone else in danger when they walk across the roads and stand in the roads. Outside the Valley they drive too fast and put wildlife in danger. It took me almost 20 minutes to find parking in Curry Village. I thought I was coming at a time when there would be less people (early October). I guess that's a national park for ya. It's overwhelming. John Muir is turning in his grave. #restoreyosemite

Muhammad Osama Rashid

This is indeed a very beautiful national park. Everything here is no natural. The scenery was amazing. The place is very well maintained. This park was very clean. It was very crowded because of summers. The weather was good. Some places in the park required the use of jackets. One of the best national parks to visit in the United States.

Patricia Heckel

Incredible nature! Come early to get parking. Biking is a great way to see the park. It is a long narrow park. Do take time to go to Glacier Point.

Manan Yadav

The scenic beauty is probably the best reason one should visit this place. Even if you're not a nature aesthetic person, this majestic park will not disappoint. The MacOS wallpapers do not do justice to this place as one has to be there in person to experience the staggering sights that can be found in abundance.

Ali Kunz Zhanje

How the heck do you rate a national park?? It's a national park!! One of most majestic natural treasures!

Jenny S

So beautiful. If you want solitude, you can find it easily if you do a multi-day backpack. Mind blowing adventure.

T J

Awesome views, the water falls are great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bring good shoes for hiking.

Janiece Gwynn

Liked all the sites we could see from the main roads, but if can't walk much, almost impossible to get to the main Visitor center or see the Upper and lower falls. Even middle week and with school in session the place and parking lots are jam packed!

Brock Whittaker

Everything here is no natural. The scenery was amazing. The place is very well maintained. This park was very clean. It was very crowded because of summers. The weather was good. Some places in the park required the use of jackets.

James Keating

Possibly the most gorgeous place I've ever seen. An incredible experience of huge rock walls towering over a lush valley, full of activities. Hiking, climbing, camping, whatever other outdoor thing you can think of. A must-see.

ilker Aktuna

very large park with lots of scenic areas. Entrance fee is 35 euro per automobile. You can pass through the park or take your time and visit several points. There are a few waterfalls and an area with Sequoia trees.

arpit trivedi

It's one of the best State park of the world. There are lots of scenic points .The main attraction is the half dome which can be viewed from various points in the park. You will get lots of photo opportunities. Must visit points are Yosemite Falls , Vernal Falls , Nevada Falls and glacier point. The vernal & Neveda Falls are after 5-6 miles of trail but it's worth the effort. The park has Free shuttle service to take you close to almost all the points. Do prefer shuttle if you are coming on weekends.

Monika

It's vast, it's majestic, it's beautiful. When you go, leave your noise behind. Our national parks are a treasure to be cherished and protected for generations to come.

Marissa Klepps

Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra. Top Things to Know Pack your patience: millions of people visit Yosemite from April through October. Yosemite Valley is the main destination for most visitors but there are many places to go in the park. Early birds avoid traffic! From spring through fall, arrive in the park before or after peak hours (before 9 am and after 5 pm) to avoid delays and traffic congestion. Plan ahead: reservations are not required to enter Yosemite, but we strongly recommend that you make reservations for lodging, camping, and backpacking. Keep wildlife wild: do not approach or feed animals. Drive responsibly: observe posted speed limits and use pullouts to take pictures and let other cars pass. Protect Yosemite’s bears: always practice proper food storage and follow speed limits. Staying connected: cellular service is limited. Don’t be surprised if you can’t receive calls or texts in the park. How can you help four million people? Learn how to visit Yosemite in a way that is fun, memorable, and safe.

Cameron Vincent

The valley is the most beautiful place I've ever visited. I felt like I was in a fantasy world. Everywhere I turned, there were stunning waterfalls, lakes, mountains, and trees. It was absolutely incredible.

Florence Pena

Cozy place ,service great and affordable prices. Serving in both quality and quantity awesome. ❤❤❤

Nona Pic

I've been going to the park for over 30 years,& it amazes me every single time! A beautiful, stunning place. Great hiking trails, just a beautiful place.

Robert Lindsay

Wanted to go here for decades. Had a wonderful time exploring the park. The park service does a wonderful job. Can't wait to go back.

Jillian Peterson

A vast national park with a variety of landscapes. You could spend days here exploring, or just do the major stops in one day.

seun adejumo

There are geographic features that's worth visiting to catch a glimpse of nature. Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.

Espirito

Beautiful park with options for everyone. Friendly staff and rangers doing their best to help you. They have hikes ranging from 1-2 hours to 6-8 definitely worth a visit

Joey K.

One of the best national parks the States has to offer. Big park, big sights, and big experiences! Many things to do and see so you need a lot of time hang out!

Robin Auth

Beautiful experience. I would recommend the tour to Glacier Point. Lots of park info given

Anindam Bhunia

Best place to visit in summer. Camping places available. Can be booked prior. But some spot first come first serve basis. Water falls, great scenic beauty, some famous spots. hiking camping altogether good place to spend your weekend.

Fernando Zuniga

Mother nature is beautiful! This place in enchanting, if you love to be in contact with nature this place offer you fantastic landscapes, the opportunity to meet beautiful animals, joy a wonderful day with family and friends and tons of thousands of great memories to share.

Joanna Kane-Potaka

Totally spectacular. Full range of walks. Really worth it to go all the way to the top of Nevada Falls - take your time if you are not very fit, you have time. Have lunch at the top. Lots of camping in the park. Sneakers are good enough as the trials are good.

Kris Warner

What can a person say? It's majestic and awe inspiring. Don't litter and don't be stupid around the wildlife!

Debra Turner

We had a wonderful time. We did have to wait way to long for a shuttle. Four came and left without enough room to get on. Though the driver was great, the bus ride otherwise is not good if you want ANY pictures!

Daniel White

Great clean visitors centers with good informative exhibits and shops. Very popular and can be congested. Suggest using in park transportation on busy days. Lots of natural beauty and worth preserving.

Julie Fletcher

What a beauty! It was nice we waited till the of season with less crowds. Roadwork means several delays but you can admire the landscape while you wait.

Dennis Blasko

During the summer if you get there in the afternoon, prepare for the most frustrating time finding a parking spot. It's like Disney World. Other than that, it's probably the most beautiful place I've ever seen in the United States, but I've not made it to Glacier yet. If you're gonna hike up to Yosemite falls, start early and be in shape. Good times here.

Alice K

So peacefully and relaxing especially in the evening. Rent a bike to go around the valley or take a relaxing nap around beach. Amazing experience

Osvalda Juškevičienė

Loved it! We took a mist trail and did not regret a bit! Climbed up to the top of Vernal falls, the view was breathtaking! Would love to return for more hiking and longer picnics!

Carolyn Coder

Awesome destination..Crowded in summer expect to sit in traffic..always roadwork. Slow down for the bears please! 11 bears killed by cars in Yosemite summer 2019.

John Strange

Blown away about how amazing this place is. You can hang out, camp or day hike around the valley or go out in the epic Backcountry for miles. Can't wait to return!

Josh Greenberg

Perfect place for the fans of wildlife. Heaven of hikers. The best part is, this is a good hiking place for beginners as well as experienced hikers. Do plan this gateway before time to have a great experience. Do carry water with you as you will be needing plenty of it.

Danielle Pearce

Yosemite is always a special place to visit. The fall is always nice, with the high country near Tioga Pass preparing for it's winter repose. The crowds are down, the campgrounds have space, at least early in the day. It's a wonderful time to enjoy some peace and serenity in this gem of the national park system.

Heather Chow

It was very beautiful. It is an amazing place. There are beautiful mountains and waterfalls there. Beautiful for a day out with your family.

Edwin Poon

Absolutely breathtaking. Nothing comparable in the UK in terms of scale, and is undoubtedly impressively beautiful. Worth spending three full days here if you can. Bring suitable hiking shoes if you're planning to go high up! Note there is a $35 entry fee but is valid for a week and worth every penny. Bumped into a guy from New Jersey here who said that Yosemite was the most beautiful place he's been to, so that must count for something I reckon.

Devonté Cooper

Made me love America. As a Canadian I can honestly say I hope you enjoy the beauty god has placed on your doorstep. Worth a drive no matter who you are. Stand under the waterfalls or just take in the complexity and scale of nature. Enjoy.

Carol Fifer

The Valley is just too crowded to enjoy. Too many cars, no place to stop. It is beautiful though, magnificent. The trails are worthwhile and you can find some space. The trees are amazing.

Rajat Bhatla

The finest national park have been to anywhere. I was there 17 years ago and to date remember the iconic landscapes, unmatched anywhere - it is a great gift of nature to be respected and preserved as it well is.

Natalia Mikolajczyk

Beautiful hiking trails here! We went in early May so it was warm with a cool breeze. The Glacier Point viewing area is beautiful.

Vince T

I hiked with my wife, brother, cousins, and nephews and nice. It is breathtaking and worth a workout hiking to the top; however, finding a parking spot is a nightmare although it’s charged $35 per car but parking is not guaranteed. It took us almost 2 hours to get a parking spot and we had to take free shuttle to the falls.

Tom Kobelka

This a great place, soo much well known, that when you are booking camp half a year upfront when they open for reservation, you have seconds to grab your spot. There are though only very few showers, we found one. The falls are awesome even when there are not that much water (August). Make sure you manage to attend the ranger talks at night.

dushyant chanan

So peacefully and relaxing especially in the evening. Rent a bike to go around the valley or take a relaxing nap around beach. Amazing experience

Nicholas Perez

Words can't describe the beauty of this place. The park is so big with so much to see you could spend an entire lifetime exploring and never get to see everything. As a Californian if you haven't already you absolutely must put Yosemite National Park on your bucket list.

Michael Withington

It's hard to put into words the true majesty of Yosemite national park. The true tranquility that overcomes you as you enter in on those winding roads is unlike anything I have ever experienced. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this park its worth every penny.

Tara Corrales

Make sure to plan your day because there is a lot of car traffic. To make it anywhere I'd recommend taking shuttle buses or walking a lot. Every parking space is filled and expect high human traffic at all times no matter when you go.

Pedro Magalhães

Beautiful place. A must see. Very crowded so plan your trip well and sign up for hikes in advance

Mikki Fritz

Landscape is incredible! As far as the park itself, I couldn't go on any hikes because I had a dog with me. I couldn't leave him in a hot car but he also wasn't allowed on any trails or shuttles. The parking was crazy but not as bad as some other National Parks.

Michael Berardini

Extremely beautiful and extremely congested. Plan your trip before going, very pricey just to get in the park and nothing cheap here. Roads are narrow, if you have a full size pick up or RV be patient.

Prajwal Yadapadithaya

What's there to say about Yosemite that hasn't been said already? Absolutely incredible and stunning landscape. In my opinion, hiking the half dome trail is the best way to experience Yosemite in all its grandeur. Only downside is that it gets really crowded (specially during the long weekends) and is really hard to find parking.

Alex Lopez

Must visit at least once in a lifetime. Such a beautiful place jam packed with great views and hikes. Do yourself a favor and plan a trip ASAP

J HAM

Very beautiful. It's a blessing to live so close to such a magnificent location. Try to avoid busy days because the parking gets a little tight.
