It’s really lovely and a really fun experience for kids. They have a tree house set up that was my favorite part because it puts appreciating nature into a fun perspective. The dinosaur trail might be a little off it’s facts on dinosaur size in terms of their display but it’s still great to look at and learn about their time periods!
We always have a great time at Mid america Science museum! This time we did the space dome show and loved it! We cant wait to come back!
My grandchildren loved this place. This will be a place I take them as much as they want to go. Plan on taking them again after school is out. Wonderful learning experience for them.
Great place to take your kiddos or even take a date on their "adult nights!" My kids and I have had a family pass for the last 2 years because they can't get enough...I really appreciate that they are having fun in an educational setting!
Lots of stuff to play with for all ages and a fun Dino Trek.
We had lots of fun and learned a lot at the museum today! We have kids ranging from 1-6 and they all had a great time! We love engaging our children’s minds and this was perfect for it!
This place was way over crowded this day. And you couldnt go outside to escape everyone because it was like 1000 degrees outside and humidity about 98%, so.... . We cut our museum trip short this time to come back later after school starts.
We were fortunate enough to have our Annual Realtor Convention’s kick off social here! So glad we made that decision. Even as adults it was fun to have it at a place other than a banquet hall. We all had a good time looking at the different exhibits they had and playing with the demonstrations placed throughout the museum. I would highly recommend checking this out as a venue or even just to visit for fun!
We had such an amazing time with the kids! This was our first time going but it definitely won't be the last. Can't wait to go back!
Very much enjoyed this hands on museum!
Went with my grand daughter class from school and enjoyed it very much.
A wonderful place to take your kids lots of Hands-On displays and Exhibits and activities for children also great for adults check out their web page to find out when they have the adults only day
Lots of fun outside! It was raining and my family and I still managed to have a great time inside too.
Coming from a top 5 metro area with great museums of its own, I was still very impressed with the hands on exhibits (they all worked) and staff that suggested ways to experience exhibits beyond what we thought to try.
This place is awesome. I spent three hours there with my five-year-old.
Go here every year we are that way! Our kids always have a blast and enjoy learning new things! There are a couple floors to explore, lots of activities, and fun to be had by kids and adults! Highly recommend for your day of fun!
We came here because we had a spare day while on vacation and it is an amazing hands on learning experience for all ages. If you like learning, playing and relaxing, then I highly recommend you make this a stop along your way!
It rained but it looked great outside. Going to have to come back. Door lady was good.
Went to this place today and I had as much fun as my 3 year old did. 6 hours of a great time. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area.
Super fun and informative! A must do in Hot Springs!
10/10 Best wedding I've ever been to.
Interactive science museum. Both or 8 and 11 year old had a great time. I am guessing excimits might change over all there was hours of educational fun that learned about the human body, electricity, physics, magnetic, water and more.
Love this place, fun for kids and adults and a great price!
Absolutely amazing and fun. Had a blast as adults but oh boy kids were going crazy having fun here. Tons of interactive activities including water physics, creating electricity, optical illusions, and so many more. Also includes a fun outdoor play area that includes a suspended net for kids to play on high in the air as well as outdoor lessons from staff. Seriously if even the parents look happy after running around a whole place then it's a win. Hardest part seemed to be convincing kids to leave.
So educational not only for the kids but the adults too.
Great science place for the whole family! Lots of outside dinosaur sculptures with sound effects. Plenty of hands on exhibits with lots of variety kept my 6 and 4 year old happy for several hours. They especially enjoyed the water exhibit and the topographical sand exhibit. The Tesla coil show was very cool for the adults and kids - we all enjoyed Mr. Jeremy, who was a very charming science nerd that made us laugh a lot and taught us all a few things while we watched a big Tesla coil in action. He was awesome answering questions after the show, too. The only negative was that the snack area was closed when we went looking for a bottle of water/light snack, as we didn't realize that we would end up spending 5 hrs there. :) I highly recommend!
Great place for kids and adults.
This place is absolutely amazing! Its huge and interactive. They made it even larger by utilizing what is outside as well with the tree house like structure and the dinotrek. This is a great place for both kids and adults. They kept my kids (six and nine) thoroughly entertained...we had to drag them away from exhibits! There is a great gift shop and cafe for coffee, water and snacks to ride you over.
We had fun while learning.
I last went in 2012 and yearn to go back and take my children, it is a good place to learn and have fun it will bring joy and wonder to young and old alike.
love this place learning is fun hear ..check this out tesla shows are informed
Extensive hands in activities for all ages. Indoor and outdoor fun.
We have a membership and always take our grandchildren here. They usually ask if we are going when they visit. Recently we took some friends and their kids loved other too.
Awesome Science Museum! Well maintained and just a neat neat place!
This place never gets old! We visit every summer and the museum does a wonderful job of rotating exhibits and providing new experiences each time we go. Be sure to pay the extra $3 to see the Tesla Coil show. It is filled with interesting stories about Tesla and Edison and you get to see the coil in action. There is a snack bar and gift shop and plenty of restrooms throughout the building.
A really awesome place to go with the family! My kids abd I absolutely loved it and could spend all day here! Lots to do and lots to learn. Tons of interactive displays and things to play with. I'd definitely go back and plan on staying a lot longer! We had so much fun that I forgot to take any photos
We have been purchasing an annual pass for a couple years now and it has been wonderful! Our kids absolutely love the new dinosaur adventure hike! Their exhibits are interactive and engaging for children and adults, sometimes, I question who had more fun. This is one of our regular family outings and we still enjoy going!
So much fun for the kids. I enjoy many of the exhibits myself. My son never wants to leave!
What a gem! Apparently, this museum has been around for decades. It's a really good child-focused science museum on the outskirts of Hot Springs - a perfect rainy day destination for those in Hot Springs or Little Rock.
We drove an hour and a half to this museum. It was fun but I felt like it wasn't really worth the drive. My 4 year old was really only interested in a few exhibits and we spent maybe an hour and a half there. The place was very clean.
Very clean and had tons of things that I learned while visiting about. I was there for a presentation for a app challenge for my son and his friends but it was friendly and welcoming. Nice place to visit. I enjoyed the walkway with the dinosaurs and sounds.
Good place for family and kids to learn.
A little disappointed after hearing such great things about this museum. It is actually really small with not as many exhibits as the Amazeum in Northwest Arkansas. Kids still enjoyed it though.
Great place to stop and run the kids around. The staff are amazingly friendly. Laurie was the absolute best!!!
Kids loved this place. Even our 3 year old. Some exhibits are better than others of course but to have enough things to keep many different kids off various ages entertained is impressive.
What a great way to start Spring Break! Our grandchildren loved spending part of their day at the Mid America Science Museum and we did too. So many things to see and do. We all learned so much!
There was a lot of fun things to do.
This science museum is MUCH better than the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh and slightly better than the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. The grounds are beautiful, the museum is clean and neat and have lots of fun interactive areas (for parents and adults). The ropes area was really cool. Hidden gem near Hot Springs!
This always hits the ball out of the park with my granddaughter. We had a great time there and before we know it they were closing. Best day ever!
Our kids loved the small museum while we were visiting Hot Springs. They enjoyed the hands on exhibits. Plan on a couple of hours to play with everything.
Awesome
My daughter enjoyed the museum so much!! She loved all the hands on activities! I would recommend it to everyone!
We had so much fun and it's also educational!
We had a fantastic time with our daughter. We loved that the museum was so interactive. Majority of children do so much better in a hands on learning atmosphere. It’s a very family friendly experience. The price was a bit high but it was to be expected and for the experience we had, we were more then pleased to pay. Not one time did her attention seem to stray, she wanted to see and experience everything there was to do. It’s something we really look forward to doing again.
Awsome even for us senior citizens. Numerous interactive exhibits. Don't miss the Dino walk and sky bridge.
So much fun stuff here for kids of all ages. Lots of hands on exhibits and some awesome outdoor exhibits too!
This place was great when kids and grown up loves it u know it great everything was hands on
Absolutely loved it. My 4 and 6 yr old grandkids had a blast trying to work all the exhibits. Definitely worth checking out.
Wow this is the best science center I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of them. You will enjoy it no matter what your age it's got things from very young children to adults.
My whole family always has so much fun every time we visit! My son, in particular, is dinosaur obsessed and absolutely loves the Dino Trek exhibit. The museum is always clean and the staff are so friendly. Definitely recommend.
Great experience as always here. I grew up going to the science museum so I had to show my partner how cool it was. There's a lot of material in the museum, but it is definitely more kid focused. Adults will still have a good time, but maybe not the second or third time around. The exhibits have not changed drastically since I was a kid which is a slight letdown, but it's still very informative and fun.
Bought vip season passes for us and the grandkids. Good to stop in while visiting downtown in the heat of the day in summer. Cools you off and keeps the kids busy while we relax.
I believe I enjoyed my visit as much as my grandkids. Many things to do for the young and old. Enjoyed seeing other grandparents interacting with their little ones. Great items in the gift shop, too.
Great for kids. So fun and educational. We loved it!
Loved this museum. We will go back and recommend it to anyone.
I haven't been there since my kids were small, they have kids now and I'd like to take them to see all the very interesting hands on exhibits.I love the way this place makes me feel, just to watch kids learn about things. I can't wait to see my grandkids on the dino-trek.
The Tesla Coil show was pretty cool!
Had an excellent time taking the family here! Lots of little things to engage with and plenty to learn and enjoy! I'd highly recommend!!!
One of the best science museums around. Great for kids of all ages.
This museum is hands on. My grandkids loved it, as did I. So much to see and do, you can easily spend 3 hours and still not have seen it all. There are interactive displays that are enjoyable for kids and adults.
What a great place! We thoroughly enjoyed it & grandson had many interactive & educational games to play. We all enjoyed it! A must see place!
A great time for people of any age!
One of the best children's museums in Arkansas!
Always a great place to take your kids. Lots of things to do and play with for kids of any age. Tons of hands-on activities here. They will have fun while learning some history and science as well. A really good deal if you get the season pass so the family can go anytime as many times as you want.
This place is great for small kids. It's even better if you buy the year-long season pass.
The museum was very interesting and fun for our 8 and 12 year old children. Great family fun.
If your children are easily distracted by cool science stuff, you're not gonna make it through the entire museum in one visit.
We've been taking our 4 kids here for years. Love it. Even when it's busy, it's not a calm and fun place to be.
Awesome place to take the kids. It's a hidden gem of Arkansas.
My 3 year old grandson loved it, especially the dinosaur trail. The trail needs some extra benches for us older folks to rest on. A few of the inside activities didn't work. It was a fun day, all in all.
Excellent and must-see stop! I remember visiting when I was little and it has been completely redone in recent years. My daughter loved exploring! Her favorite was the cave. She also enjoyed the sky walk and the trails. We will absolutely be back for more fun soon.
We always love going here. A dinosaur trail is now there. One very difficult up hill and down hill and one track moderately easy walking track, located outdoors. So many neat things to tinker with and see. If you love science and your kids do, it's always a must go to place for us.
MASM is a great place to go. My wife and I enjoyed it very much
Very fun place to go if you are a hands-on type person! I’m not posting too many pictures because I don’t want to spoil it for you!
A great experience for one and all. The Tesla coil exhibit was not open when we got there due to crew had the flu. Boo! But otherwise fascinating.
Honestly a wonderful place to take your children but be sure to take your own food or go somewhere else to eat. The snack bar was awful. Before we even grabbed something a woman walked up to us and told us not to get the pizza that it was awful, so we got hotdogs instead and even they were bad. They tasted as if they had been sitting there a couple days and even one of the buns had mold on it.
So much to see and experience had a blast and the staff is very nice
There is a lot to do here for a variety of ages. The interactive exhibits were engaging and fun. The water play area was a big hit. Our kids enjoyed the dinosaur tour and the skywalk!
Great place, for lunch or dinner. Priced reasonably. Portions are very equal to the price. Anything from the menu is delicious.
Had a great time. :) Not sure if the grandchildren or grandparents had a better time. Been over a week, and 13 and 9 year old grandchildren still talking about the trip.
A lot of cool things to see. Wish we had better weather and more time.
My children enjoyed theirselves. We will be visiting this museum agwin in the near future.
Very nice. I & a real 25yrs & up group of adults with no children there had a great time. We were like kids again... Just unsupervised
Great day out for big and small kids alike. This was my first visit to the museum and I enjoyed myself immensely. The Tesla Coil show was a highlight. My partner had been a few times in the past and was disappointed to see that some of the old exhibits were gone. The snack bar was closed, which was a disappointment after walking around for a few hours and needing a drink at minimum. Highly recommended to visit if you are in the area.
Love this place so much. So much to do and learn
Great hands on fun for all ages. They have really taken care to keep activities working and up to date.
Great place to spend the day when it's just too hot to be outside.
Very fun place and my kids loved it!
Very cool. Loved it
Fun for kids of all ages! My 2, 3 and 10 year-old loved it!
I love the updates that were made and that they kept some of the same things from my childhood. I was having as much fun as my kid!
A great museum, with a plethora of things for kids to touch, rub, pull, poke and sit on. So many ways to learn in one place.
It was a great experience for the family! Plenty to do inside and outside for the price. The snack bar was not overpriced either!
I thought the kids would get bored, having visited last summer, but there were new things available. They especially liked the treehouse and the hammocks. So much fun, I just wish the snack bar wasnt so expensive.
This is a really good place to take the kids and just let them be kids.
Lots of hands on opportunities for kids ages 0-110! Enjoyed the outdoor trails today and the Dino Trek. Our entire group enjoyed the day and we have a pass now to come and enjoy the facilities again! The museum is very family friendly. Do stay on the paths outside, we identified a lot of posion ivy!
This is probably the best place in town to bring kids. Almost all the exhibits are hands on, and as engaging for the grown ups as for the kids. Don't miss the skyway and the dinosaurs! Very cool!
This place is great for kids of all ages. My four year old would have stayed longer if we would have let him. For the price, you can't beat it for a full day of fun. My husband and i climbed through the Arkansas underground exhibit because our son wouldn't. I would have gone in again, but everyone else wanted to move on. I also made a stop-motion video that was entertaining to me. My son loved the dino trek, the body exhibit (specifically where he could stand there and turn into a skeleton on the screen and dance around), and the giant black foam blocks on the bottom level. We will definitely be back when we return to Hot Springs again!
Fun for the family. Only thing that would make it better is a few more attractions.
A nice place to go with the family. It's a good idea trip for a rainy day too, because is mostly inside interaction. You can go out to the trail and see the dinosaurs but the sciencr museum is all inside.
A wonderful place to excite young minds with science and engineering activities. It much exceeded our expectations. There were so many different hands on activities for kids of all ages and even an outdoor walking area with dinosaurs, ponds, and rope play areas. We are Perot (Dallas) members and were able to gain free admission through our membership, which was a huge bonus!
We enjoyed ourselves, and the staff that helped me and my daughter build solar powered cars were awesome. Thanks Kayla and Hayley.
Super fun and so many things to see and do
Great for the family in fact i enjoyed it more than my kids.
Super cool place! It was overrun with kids but is really a fun place for adults too. Outdoor areas were awesome, including the skywalk and a super cool tree house type structure.
Went to this wonderful Arkansas gem while attending a conference at National Park College, just down the street. This was my first visit, and I don't think that as a 30-something I've had nearly as much fun in my life in a really long time. From the dinosaur trail (great on a fall day, especially) to the interactive fountain, I felt like a kid. I was running around with other adults (professionals in higher education) like a young child, and having a total blast!
Absolutely loved this place!! Its great not only for kids but adults too!!! The trails outside of the museum were neat and fun.
Needed to be able to spend more time!! Wonderful experience for children of ALL ages.. We only got to see and do indoor activities in 3 hours ( and could have stayed longer). Next time will try to have another hour at least to do outside things!! There is a cafe associated with it but we had to leave for another engagement. We will plan an entire day next time!!
Great museum with lots of stuff to keep the parents and kids entertained for hours. Our visit lasted a little over 2 1/2 hours. They have some really cool gadgets. This is a must if visiting Hot Springs with children.
Amazing visit for the whole family at an affordable price point!
Great place but needs to add a toddler area of discovery.
Super awesome. Been going since I was a kid. It's even better now(30).
We really loved it here. My husband spent time at each exhibit learning and playing. The dino trek is pretty neat- has a huuuuge hill to get up which was slightly hard pushing the stroller but doable. Very cool place, excited to come back with the bigger kids
AWESOME time. Great field trip. Really hands on.
Tons of fun, high-quality exhibits and activities in a great facility with friendly staff!
Kids and I had a great time.. For a big place you'd expect it to have more stuff to do. We went for a S.T.E.M event, was told it was two classes over the phone and get there and apparently it was one full class so we didn't get to join due to it being half over. It's something to keep kids busy for inside during cold or rainy days. The membership is a cheaper way to go if you go more than 2 times a year.
Was alright I think they shoulf build more and expand great for kids thou
Lovely place. Great for all ages. We had from 2 to 80 with us. Highly recommend for families.
For $85 you get a 1 year membership that lets 5 people in well worth it one of the best deals I found in a long time my granddaughter has been going there three years and still loves it
This is one of my favorite science museums. My children love it and the museum continually works to improve both the facilities and the activities. The tree house, dinosaur walk and hammocks are wonderful additions to compliment the myriad other wonderful hands on activities. Whenever we are in the area we make sure to visit this amazing place.
Cool place to check out. The dinosaur walk was very neat. As expected, lots of children there. It would be really cool if they had an adult night once in a while. Otherwise, pretty good experience that two adults enjoyed. My boyfriend went here as a kid and said that it's very similar to when he was growing up. Food is kinda overpriced in the cafe so we didn't eat, but I saw kids on a field trip bring in bagged lunches to eat so it looks like you can provide your own food.
A great place for people af all ages.
Excellent interactive exhibits. Family had a great time
Awesome place. Interesting. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tesla coil is worth the trip.
I can't tell you how much we love this place! The whole experience is very interactive which makes it perfect for children and adults! We also love to get our steps in walking through the dinosaur park learning the names and features of my son's favorite dinosaurs
Such a fun place for the kids. The Dino walk is great.
Great for kids, no WiFi inside and outside parts $10 ish per person.
Great place for kids since all of the exhibits are hands on and very interesting
Talked with the Exec Dir after we ran into her on the trail. Lead by example. She talked as if she was a new hire. I really appreciate you taking the time with any and all visitors. We will be back. The kids had a great time!
This place is amazing! Great stop for ages 5-12, and for adults! We all learned a lot and had a great time at all of the exhibits, that were all in working order! They are cool and unique exhibits, not cookie cutter science museum bits.
Went on a field trip with my daughter here and the kids just loved it!
I've been going to this place for 30 years. It's great museum! Almost everything is Hands-On.
This is a great place for all ages. Really Awesome.
Grandgirls had a blast and so did we
Nice place. It is very worth the price of admission.
Had so much fun here. Wife came years ago and they had giant toilet, didn't see it this time but still amazing at all the things they had.
Fun! Must see for families with children.
This place has been a staple in my list of things to do every time I visit my hometown, Hot Springs. I loved coming here as a kid and still love coming here as an adult. I appreciate that there is always something around that I saw as a kid, and always something around that is new. If you want a fun learning experience for your kids or just for you, visit this museum.
