I chose to visit the museum to report the experience for a humanities assignment. Technically, the native American artifacts in another nearby Pfeiffer home/museum were the main focus for the assignment. But it was an interesting story to be told, not only of Ernest Hemingway but of the Pfeiffer family too. In fact, it became the subject of the essay. Definitely worth the time and few dollars it costs to go through!

Really great museum experience! The tour was full of interesting information about the Pfeiffer family and their many impacts on the history of the United States as well as their influence on the life of Ernest Hemingway. I highly recommend visiting and asking for Buddy as a guide; he presented an abundance of information in a fun and interesting way!

Beautiful place aenjoy a picnic learn history of ne arkansas people in the early 1900's so much to do .Easy to get to and easy to walk driveway. There will be some walking but wheelchair accessible. Fun, educational.

If you ever find yourself near Piggott, Arkansas, I highly recommend this tour. The Pfeiffer House is charming and rich in its history. Our tour guide Buddy was one of the best I've ever seen. He is very knowledgeable on the topics of Ernest Hemingway and the Pfeiffer Family. Just as importantly, he kept our group entertained and has a great sense of humor.

This site is wonderful and well worth the drive to get there! Mr Buddy's tour was fascinating, educational and inspiring. The Hemingway anecdotes were very interesting but the story of his in-laws was the true revelation. They were true philanthropists and the efforts they went to help the surrounding area during the Great Depression were astounding. I would highly recommend diverting of the beaten track to check out this wonderful museum.
