REVIEWS OF Crescent Hotel Ghost Tours IN Arkansas

Loved everything about this tour! Madame Marian is amazing at what she does! So much information on the history of Eureka and the Hotel. Can’t wait to come back and tour again! And stay in a haunted room! My 10 year old even loved it, although she did sleep downstairs with us in the Gatehouse after the tour lol

A lot of history.

I was honestly a little disappointed by the tour. The guide was very informative, but she was very quiet and hard to hear if you weren't right up front. Also, while the stories about the place were fascinating, it was really really irritating to not be able to actually really explore anything. The hotel still functions and rooms are often rented out, so there is no way to check out rooms for any activity. The lights are on the entire time too, since it is a functioning hotel, and so that really detracts from the mood. The guide had examples of things that had happened or someone had seen, but the way she talked, it sounded like nothing exciting had ever happened during a tour. I was a bit disappointed but enjoyed learning the history.

The ghost tour was a lot of fun! The stories were well researched, and the tour went smoothly, even other guests happened to join/walk through our group. It's a nice hotel full of history! I look forward to going back. The only thing is that the tour is a little bit pricey--an hour for $22 plus tax.

Cristen Shearin

The tour was not very interesting and it was very unfortunate that there was so much going on in the halls and lobby we didn’t get a “haunted “ feel at all. Would love to actually stay in a. Room to get the experience but really was more “educational “ about “stories” that has happened and that’s about it . Prolly won’t recommend tour.

Was quite nice inside can't wait to stay the night there will definitely return

In June, my wife and I stayed in a Jacuzzi suite for our 25th anniversary. We took the ghost tour and I must say I was a little let down. By the time we got to the morgue, which we were looking forward to, we apparently we're running behind because we only got to spend about 2 minutes in there and then got ran out because another group came in right behind us.

Elizabeth Thompson

The only reason I'm giving this as many stars as I am is because of the management at the hotel. Our tour guide Diane was the rudest tour guide I've ever experienced. She humiliated me and my husband in front of everyone in the tour, and it was clear it made everyone uncomfortable. We left the tour early because she was so awful. Management was great and fully refunded our money along with offering free dinner for the next night. We would have loved the tour if we had had someone else as the guide. Make sure your tour is NOT with Diane.

FUN PLACE inexpensive

We had so much fun! Hotel is fantastic and creepy in a good way! Great for kids and adults! We wish they would have let us go into one of the rooms!

Brenda Vesely

Very interesting tour. Our daughter took video through out the tour hoping to catch something. In the lobby nearncat picture, she captured 2 light orbs, in morgue captured something odd we can't explain. The only thing that would have made the tour better would have been seeing 1 of the hotel rooms if they were not at capacity. Well worth it!!

Creepy hotel. I'm sure the walls will talk to you at night. There is a cool bar on the top floor that overlooks the mountains. A perfect place to stay in the fall season. The hotel is full of tourists passing through (myself included). This place reminds me of the hotel in The Shining.

Elizabeth Hernandez

After partaking in an beverage my friend and I tried to crash your ghost tour and much to our dismay we were unsuccessful. We tried to blend in and the tour guide completely broke character and proceeded to tell us to keep walk and wouldn't say another word until we were completely out of her view! Which then led us to listen from above. This ruined our experience of said ghost tour. We won't be returning!

Harold Trull

We have been on several ghost tours and the Crescent Hotel Ghost Tour was worth the cost. The hotel is a beautiful relic of the past and should be visited at least once during your trip to Eureka Springs. The tour starts on the fourth floor and descends to the morgue with interesting ghost stories told on each level. The guides are knowledgeable regarding the hotel and local history. You might find the morgue a bit disappointing as it has been reduced in size to accommodate the normal business operations of the hotel. Additionally, understand that the tour is not a haunted house; you are not meant to be frightened rather you are meant to be creeped out by the historical horror stories that the hotel has witnessed. All in all, this is an enjoyable experience for ghost hunters of all ages.

I took my 10yo son along with me to tour the hotel. The ghost tour was well worth the ticket price. The tour was informative and my son was able to hold the EMF detector while we explored each floor of the hotel. Several stories about the mysterious happenings in the hotel led us to detect EMF in the areas these stories related to. This added a cool element to the tour. My son and I had a great time and recomend any believers to go as well.

Gigi Ray

I thought the tour was excellent. We did the 9pm tour and it was really well done. I was at the Crescent several years ago and saw several orbs outside. This time, our pictures showed several blue manifestations. The Crescent definitely has hauntings.

Alicia Bibydoll

I've gone through the tour a few times because it's a nice time to hear if the history and try to get some footage of the paranormal. The Baroness was my tour guide for the first time on this tour and she was a delight to be around. She reminded me a lot of my Grandma a d she was just a very kind person in general.

Tephanie Neill

The guide was kind and we received some history on the hotel, but the overall tour was terrible! Do not waste your time or money.

Katrina Bogardus

Brandon Sumner

A wonderful tour - I learned tons about the town and previous owners of the hotel. Fun and informative. :)

Nancy Price

ENJOYED the weekend & Ghost Tour.

Whitney DePriest

1st Thier brochure says 18 dollars for tickets. Then they tell you to go to reserve eureka dot com and theyou are 22.50. Then it's a guided history lesson with a device that goes off when they predict it will and then they say it's a ghost. They also have 2 photos they will show you. 1 is photo shopped shopped terribly. Literally not what I was thinking when it said ghost tour. Waste of money. Wish we would have went somewhere else. :(

Philip Sanchez

Excellent experience very informative not one of those rushed guided tour just out for your money or one of the ones that everything it haunted or an evil demon. Some much history without boring you out of your mind. Would definitely recommend doing this

Shayelynn Lawmaster

Me and my Husband just spent our 10 year anniversary of being together here and we had so much fun. We are very happy with our stay! We took the evening ghost tour and we found it to be very interesting, fun and something the whole family would enjoy. The tour guide was really nice and she had us laughing a few times. I love how she looked around and made eye contact with everyone as she was telling her stories and giving the history. It just made it feel all inclusive and I was able to visualize it all better. How they have left things to look old fashioned really helps with that as well. After, they encourage you to walk around and explore. A lot of fun! I would say just try to be as respectful as possible. In my opinion the only downside is the price. For just me and my husband it was $52.

Erin Rosa

We had such a great time on the Ghost Tour with Dame Diane. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something fun in Eureka! We even spent the night at the hotel, but I had a hard time falling asleep after learning about all of the ghosts roaming the halls!

Joy Braswell

Maid Marion was awesome! Enjoyed all the history and beauty of the Crescent Hotel. Lots of fun!

My Daughter has taken the Ghost Tour before and thoroughly enjoyed it; so much so, she chose to bring her Daughter to experience the Hotel. Both came away quite pleased. As my Daughter stated " Each Tour I have had the pleasure to experience something different ".

D

Got a bit more than I bargained for. Thank you for the amazing tour Aunt Reba.

Benjamin Pursell

um it was um a crappy tour for the uh most part. it had some uh flaws like how the guide (Beatrice or something like that) talked exactly like ummmm this. it sounded like she was given 5 haunted facts about the hotel and told to make everything else up on the go. Biggest rip off I have ever seen and thats saying a lot. please save your money and do something way more fun in Eureka Springs like zip lining or beaver lake.

Michelle Riley

I was affected...got great pics of real ghosts and suggested to GAC to do a lockdown. They listened. Look for a June airing of the Ghost Adventure Crew at this remarkable location!

Emma Marie

Spooky place and of course some embellishments because it's a tour! Ignorant people please understand what you're paying for before purchasing tickets and getting upset that you didn't see a real ghost. There is definitely a true haunted history here and just like all tours it will tell you that history along with having some fun. People spend more money on haunted houses at Halloween and we all know that's only entertainment so the ticket price is worth it! I feel that it's even spookier that a man (God bless his soul) recently died in there. This tour is a must do!

Shay Karnish

We had an older gentleman as our guide, and he was amazing!! Very well informed, spoke clearly, and really made sure everyone was enjoying it and had time to take pictures. He didn't try to play up any sort of gimmick or false creepy that would have made it a little lame, just talked about the ghosts, what they do, when they're active and so forth. We didn't see any apparitions and unfortunately couldn't go inside the rooms, but it was still fun and pretty creepy. We were initially a little concerned about the ticket price, but overall found the whole experience a worthwhile one.

Jacob T Kuker

Totally worth the visit! This hotel is full of historic value and was fun to tour with the $2 self guided pamphlet. I do wish they offered a human guide as part of a tour. All in all the property is really fun to explore!

Cayce Fox

The hotel was nice and the stories were fun, but we did not see any ghosts. It would have been nice for them to made it a little more worth the money

Lily Rowan

My parents and I went on the Crescent Hotel ghost tour a few months ago, and we're still talking about how much fun we had! We had a Duchess for a tour guide, and she really made the stories come to life. The hotel is so charming, and its history enraptured us. Do go! There's no other place quite like it, and you'll learn a lot while you explore the haunted history on the ghost tour.

Paul Robinson

Take the tour and hear the ghost stories. I loved it.

Jim Martini

The ghost tour was overly crowded... was around 30 people in our group. People couldn't get into the room to hear what the guide was saying. Should limit the size to 12 people and have more tours going on every 30 minutes and overlap them. My wife, who is hard of hearing, need to get in front to hear and most of the people allowed her to get up front, which was very nice of all of them. Not going back to it unless things change.

garrold hambelton

If you are smart we were not keep your $22.50 and go do something else. Very very boring. Unless u are wanting some history or just a bunch of bs Don't go. Old hotel in need of repair has been a wonderful place in its time. Ghost tour sucks bad !!!! History of hotel can be found on net a lot cheaper and not waste your time.

Gordon St Onge

Very fun tour, was enjoyed by both my wife and myself. Worth the time.

Billy Swanson

Nicole Avery

Great place I loved it.

nicki Gillhespy

I went on this ghost tour, and it was very interesting. The history behind the hotel, the ghosts and if you believe in ghosts like I do, you can feel their presence there. It wasn't that expensive for the tour and lasted 75mins. Also the Tour Guide, Aunt Reba was an excellent tour guide and very informative. Some maybe disappointed that you don't get to see actual ghosts but they never promised that you would.

I took my EMF meter and it reacted constantly in the morgue. The Cresent is a beautiful old hotel and full of history. Our guide was very informative and fun.

John

Well, do you really believe in ghosts? if so, grow up.

Holly Carpenter

Awesome place!

Amanda Nail

My son and I went on the 9:30 tour, and we had a great time. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and kind. We loved hearing the history and the stories of the Crescent and Eureka Springs. Would have been great to go into some of the rooms, but wasn’t shocked with it being a busy holiday weekend.

Timothy Roe

My wife and I did not stay in the hotel, but did take the tour our first night in town. It exactly met my expectations. Which is to say it was mildly entertaining, but heavy on the cheese. I realize that the script was written for all ages, though, so I completely understood. The basement parts of the tour, while realistic, are so small, dated, and run-down, that I'm surprised that tours are even allowed to pass through. Our tour guide did a really good job, but I would have liked to see her not use the script as much. Also, $50 seems a bit high considering the quality of the facilities.

Amanda Rue

Our tour guide was wonderful and very knowlegeable. The history was very interesting. We did the 10:30 late night tour, I took several pictures hoping to catch a glimpse of something and sure enough! There was some kind of figure when I zoomed in to take a closer look, to me you can make out half of a figure. I do wish we could have gone into some of the rooms.

David Garinger

The history portion of the ghost tour is really good. It’s really good value for the money. I loved the hotel. Tour guide was informative and lasted almost 90 minutes. Fun times, go for it!

Mrs. Bush

Really loved the ghost tour. Good education on the history of the hotel.

Michelle Allred

Spooky!

kultida thomas

Enjoyed the ghost tour and learning about the ghosts and history of The Crescent Hotel.

Jodi Williams

This was the biggest waste of money I think I have ever spent. I visit Eureka quite often and have always wanted to go on ghost tour and this weekend was able to and was so excited . I have visited the hotel many times and walked the halls and read all the stuff on the walls. So I couldnt wait to learn more and enjoy tour. Well..the tour was so boring. I learned nothing more than I did walking the halls myself. The whole tour all we did was walk the halls and hear stories about things already known on my own. We never left halls..no rooms or anything until the end where we went to the basement"mortuary" where there was chairs and a VCR with a clip from show already seen on TV..I am so disappointed and sad that I spent well earned money on such a waste..save your money and spend it and do something worth it.

Eileen Evans

Ghost tour was so worth the time and money! Had a great time. The hotel is really a neat place to see. The Crystal Dinningroom was not the best food for the price. Try the pizza place on the 4th floor. Great place to see.

My husband and I have always loved this hotel and have visited many times so we decided to do the ghost tour the night we got married almost 4 years ago and plan to do it again for our anniversary. Its great for people who appreciate the history. It's not at all cheesy and I dont think it's meant to be scary but its definitely worth it if you love history and ghost stories. The guides are so informative and we learned alot. I cant believe people are actually mad that they didnt see a ghost as if the guide can just make them appear. I think if you are open to the things that actually happened there and aren't looking for a haunted house type of feel than you will really enjoy it.

Nickie Money

ThunderOwl 17

Really fun and interesting ghost tour! Fun for the whole family. I would definitely like to stay the night in one of the rooms!

Whitney Baird

Good experience, enjoyed it. The history was interesting. The only thing that disappointed me was that in the morgue, before we went into the fridge, the spirit detector was going nuts and when we stepped inside it stopped. We didn't have an experience in the fridge either and I didn't get anything on any pics I took. But all in all, it was fun and very interesting.

Shannon Sanford

After reading reviews, I decided to go. Unfortunately, it was very gimmicky. I was very disappointed on the tour and wished that we had spent the $50 elsewhere on tickets. It wasn't scary and I felt like many of stories were embellished just to make it more entertaining. Not to mention, many of the guests were very rowdy, making the experience somewhat miserable. The guests were yelling and cursing, making it clear this isn't a hotel people should rent--much less tour. Overall, I wish I had listened to the reviews. The history was pretty interesting, but it's nothing that you can't look up online. Some of the guests had been on the tour multiple times and even talked about how they had removed parts of the tour over the years. With all you can do in Eureka Springs, there's a better way to spend your money.

Dawn Heber

A beautiful old hotel: our tour guide was entertaining as well as informative. Let the

THE GROUPS ARE WAY TO BIG we couldnt hear or see half of what was going on and they dont even make sure you see what they are even talking about. It totally takes any creepiness out of it. I took my 8 and 9 yr old and they wernt even entertained at all. Any information they tell you can be read in the hallway before you walk in. They take you to n NO special Room except for the morgue which is a joke. They have Halloween lights.. its april..up and u r in there for maybe 5 min. They show you a quick 30 sec clip of a ghost hunter show. It's not worth the money. Maybe if the groups were smaller it would be better but I paid over 100 dollars and was in a group so big at least 6 people were standing in the morgue. Not cool. I took pics in morgue

Kelly Dunkeson

My young grandchildren loved the tour. It's a beautiful, historic hotel...but the ghostly encounter(s) stories were less than believable to most of us over 10 yrs old..but still a fun activity with the kids..

Shannon Merideth

We absolutely loved the tour and would do it again

Jennifer Karre Robertson

We had a great experience on the ghost tour. Our 10 year old daughter enjoyed the tour and was not the least bit scared. She just asked lots of questions and our guide was great.

This was an amazing night. I loved our tour guide Aunt Reba. She was very knowledgeable and sweet. love to come back next year and stay the night but I know my husband will not go for that. He was not comfortable there. Thank you Aunt Reba. The family from Edmond Oklahoma.

My husband and I went to the Ghost Tour. We paid $50 for tickets and it was a terrible waste of money and time. Don't go!

Tilly Jane

The ghost tour was good tour. They added a seating area in the morgue where you might want to sit after all that walking. For an extra fee, the ghost story time campfire was not that impressive. We were told it was too cold outside which everybody didn't think so in the group so we stayed inside a dark room. Plus the speaker didn't tell very many stories. I gave it 5 stars because the ghost tour was great. Campfire stories - "Nice Try".

Lesa Simonson

We took the ghost tour on Friday night, I’m sad to say that the story telling was not at all good. I felt like our tour guide was the goosebumps story teller, it was night and day compared to the tour I took 10 or so years ago. (That tour was terrifying, and amazing). The hotel did some renovations to the ghost tour since my last visit, the renovations aren’t authentic and too “made up”! On this visit, the stories were incomplete and we wanted to walk out several times. Felt like we wasted our money. Our tour guide was an older lady with short dark hair. I’m sure there are several guides but this one, honestly, was NOT GOOD. This was the overall feeling of 15 in our group.

Loved every minute of it! Now I’m wanting to book a night in one of the rooms we learned about!

My granddaughter and i just loved this tour. Our guide was informative and thorough. It was worth every penny and more. We will definitely suggest this to Others and we are going to do it again - we actually can’t wait to go back and do it again!

Hop Slam Drinker

Over rated was fun room was 90$.. really not scary vibes

Pheobe Burke

I hate leaving bad reviews but this was not at all worth the $50 tickets. Building was gorgeous and wonderfully maintained, but the tour was only an hour long and more of a disappointment than anything, unfortunately. Our guide was knowledgeable and super sweet, but it felt there was nothing there that we hadn't already read or researched on our own. All you are able to do is listen to a few ghost stories only set in the halls and then you hit a small ghost hunters clip and finally the morgue. That's about it, unfortunately. Disappointed as I thought they would have lengthened the time or added more features, but it felt more like a routine 3rd grade field trip.

Robert Labelle

I’m giving 2stars because of the tour guide was great. The build is awesome very old and love the feel of the building, the tour guide was fun and in formative, the tour was short and only being able to tour the building from the stairs was pretty cheesy. The morgue was pretty cool, but definitely wasnt worth 50 bucks.

Suzanne Freedman

Good for kids but not very exciting for adults. I think the tour could allow time for questions after each story on the tour and give more details of when the actual ghosts were sighted. I also think the cost for adults is too high.

Debbie (Rice) Haugh

This has been the best ghost tour we have ever been on! Our tour hostess, Maryshika, was so pleasant, entertaining and full of information . We were given lots of opportunities to take pictures and ask questions . This tour lasts almost 1 1/2 hrs so I think you get your money's worth. I definetly recommend this if you are in the area, but make reservations early because they sell out fast

Lori Cook

Total skeptic here but what fun! An amazing beauty of an old hotel with a fascinating history. Truly enjoyed Maid Marion as our guide. Go have a drink in the 4th floor Sky bar before you go. Gorgeous, can't miss view. This is a must do for the kid in you. I'm still a little freaked out.

Teresa Bennett

I am so excited to get to return again! My husband and I will be getting to spend our 29th anniversary at the Crecent in just a few days! The first time we visited, our 15th anniversary, was absolutely awesome! And this time we are going to get to spend the night in Theadora's room! We both cannot wait!

Kevin Mach

Pretty interesting stories

Kelly McCarver

Loved it, great haunted history and kids enjoyed it too!

This was soooo much fun. Our guide was Lavoisare Blair Caruthers. He was fantastic. This was the highlight to our trip.

Make sure to get a massage at the New Moon Spa when you visit for a ghost tour! The massage rooms are in the old morgue! My regular massage spot!

Ken McWatters

This ghost tour of a haunted hotel is definitely spooky. It is a bit odd that you are touring through an operating hotel so you see guests wandering past you from time to time. (Real, not ghostly!) But there are a few places where your tour group is alone, the best of which is the basement. I loved it when they shut us in a basement room and turned off the lights! A fun way to learn a little local history from your tour guide and get a few chills along the way.

Bryan Stoppiello

We took a quick trip to Eureka Springs over the weekend, and picked up a brochure for the Crescent Hotel Ghost Tours unsure if we wanted to go. We went ahead and booked the tour and we were not sorry. It was an amazing experience from the time we got to the hotel until we left. Once we got there you could feel the history radiating off the building. The stories and tragedies about the people who once lived or stayed their made it hard not to keep an eye over your shoulder. The only regret we have is not staying at the hotel.

Jennifer Phillips

Nicholas Denzler

Had a good tour guide and a good time.

Darla King

Fun for all ages.

Lindsey Lawrence

My family and I had a great time at the Crescent. The ghost tour was fun and our guide did a wonderful job. However, the resturant on the fourth floor was not as impressive. The evening wait staff was extremely unprofessional. There was a waiter running through the restaurant pretending to hump things and cursing as well as speaking poorly about other employees, all of this was in front of my children. Aside from the waiter who appeared to be on some sort of drug- everything was great.

Sean Powers

I ain't afraid of no ghosts

Shelley Harnar

Phyllis Gentry

Loved hearing the history about the hotel and it's current spirit inhabitants! The hotel and its period decor is beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Brittany Pogue

Absolutely terrible. Very boring, waste of money, and I feel the group caught her in a lie. Was a waste of $50 for me and my spouse. The tour was extremely boring. Don't waste your time or money. The stories seemed made up, didn't see a single thing, and the lady was extremely boring.

Rayn Blanco

$50 for the tour is outrageous. Our tour guide, an older gentleman (I didn’t know his name) he was very knowledgeable, so I did learn about the history. It is a beautiful hotel and I would love to stay in one of the rooms mentioned in the tour. We didn’t experience any supernatural events.

DeAnna wolf

Awesome, informative tour

Rachel Brown

The tour was very informational. We learned a lot about the history of the place. Had no issues with any of the staff here. I do have to say $50 for two people is a bit pricy for this tour though. Other then the price everything was good. We even decided to have dinner and our waiter was amazing.

Colton Langford

Really fun time, definitely worth it. Tour guide really sold it.

Sammie Jo Griffin

Loved it, spooky and had a great tour guide

Brenda Daum

I had no preconceived notions about this hotel being haunted. I had picked it out of a brochure and drive up with my parents and two young kids. The first thing that happened was they placed my parents in a room that looked like a funeral parlor in the floor above the kids and I. My 7 and 8 year old kept asking me to cover the pictures because they felt they were "staring at me". There were almost NO guests at the hotel. That night, the kids dozed off and I was watching television. I turned off the lamp and as I was about to fall asleep, the chain on the INSIDE of my room began to slide back and forth. I was absolutely terrified. There was a feeling of dread and evil about the entire place. I called my parents and begged them to sleep in our room. I slept restlessly with the feeling of being smothered. The next morning we took a carriage ride through the town and that's when we found out The Crescents history and that it had been featured in "Americas Most Haunted". I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The feeling of evil and dread stayed with me until we got to Hot Springs. I will NEVER stay there again!! My silly extended family didn't believe me, so they took a trip to the Crescent only to hear of the suicides, murders, cancer deaths and other atrocities that had happened there. Cameras went off flashing in the middle of the night. Not one picture was salvageable. The hotel clerk said maids refused to clean certain rooms and that their carts moved down the hall on their own accord. Many felt the same sense of dread that I did. I'm a scientist. I don't believe in this stuff. But it happened to me and to us. Visit but do not stay the night!

La Wana Sides

brooke cardon

Wasn't to pleased with my experience! I think if your planning on going here it would be better to stay the night cause the tour was boring to me I didn't see or hear or get any pictures of anything no orbs or anything like that and I feel I didn't get the whole story of what happened in this haunted hotel

Amanda Yarbro

We had Maid Marian as our guide. She knew the stories and the history well. This is not our first time, but it was a good time and there was new information. We got some good pictures!!

Cory Wilson

Ghost tour was awesome, our tour guid was harki was great and very knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone!

Abi

The ghost tour was amazing! Yes, maybe it was a little over the top but it's supposed to be. IT'S A GHOST TOUR, not an investigation. We got several pictures that show orbs and my husband got an apparition in one. In the morgue, my husband was the only one behind me with one hand on my shoulder and one on my waist, but the chain on my necklace was lifted and dropped in the back. My camera kept taking pictures even when I wasn't trying. Would love to go back. Peaches is an amazing guide!! Thank you!!!

Myche Tician

Not big fan of these tours. I know its entertainment but some people actually believe this stuff. We stayed at a place last night with a ghost supposedly but it was just creaky floors
