Good place for photo just right outside the welcome center. The path to the arch leads straight into a trail that goes along the Chena river.

Got 5 mins? Then come visit! If you're chasing light in this town, you should come since there's really nothing else to do during the day. The arch is pretty nice for pictures. Come walk along the river too. The visitor center right next to the arch is the highlight of my trip.

Pretty cool gateway arch, "linking experiences from all over Alaska". Every rack tells its own story, and this is an interesting place to pause before entering the adjacent Morris Cultural Center, which is a fabulous place to visit.

This is part of the Fairbaanks I formation centre. It has lots of nice native sculptures. The ladies at the help desk are very nice and super helpful.

I was only passing through, yet I was treated to this surprise. It's a bit macabre but interesting none the less. Even strolling through in winter the place was clean and welcoming.
