if i could give this establishment a negative star that would be more than they deserve. i dropped my car off on a thursday night for service and recieved a call from them that friday saying they had to order a part and that my car would be ready on monday afternoon. i called on monday at 2:45 pm to find out if it was done. the guy, Tony said it had not been done but would check with the mechanics and call me back. at 4:45 pm when i was about to walk into the building he call to tell me it was done. the next day i again dropped it off saying i just spent $375 to have my car fixed and i would like it to work. an hour later i went back in to see if they even took a look at it, knowing i wanted it back and that i was upset over having to bring it back, and they said they didnt even look at it. not sure what happened to customer service but they dont have any. will never take a vehicle there again. do yourself a favor and find anywhere else to take your vehicle as they will probably be cheaper and do a better job.

My daughter had a flat tire just after hours. Steve, the owner, came in on the next day when the shop was closed to check the tire to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately it was unrepairable. Steve was able to get two tires in quickly and get the tires mounted and get my daughter safely on the road again. The customer service is remarkable. The prices are extremely competitive. I recommend this shop to all my family and friends. Locally owned shops like this are invaluable!

I received a coupon for oil change from a coworker. This place came highly recommended. I scheduled an appointment for an emmissions test and an oil change as I just purchased a used car. I work about 4 minutes away. I called stated I may be about 2 minutes late as I was speaking the women That answered the phone hung up on me. I got there about 4 minutes late. I mentioned the coupon several times. I told them my right front tire looked low. As I tried to asked questions. I just kept getting the response we check all fluids tires etc. Well, I sat there until they closed over an hour maybe hour and a half other customers have come and gone. Finally my car is done. Oil change came out about 30.00. If I could afford 30.00 oil change I would have went somewhere else. What was the coupon for? Waiting over an hour Having to leave work early to sit there over an hour for an oil change that takes 10 mins an emmissiobs test that takes 10 Mins. Isnt the worst part. They never checked my tires my tire was still very low they did not check my fluids. Because my wiper fluid reservoir was completely empty And there was no lid on it. It was gone. Not saying they lost it however if they checked fluids wouldnt they have noticed there was no cap. As I informed them I just Purchased the car. The battery was completely corroded they didnt notice that. I asked why it came out to so much with the coupon they stated that they had to put 6 quarts of oil in. Huh, so 3 days later I needed new battery purchased one at another garage. They installed it and had to put quart and half oil in my car wiper fluud and i bought a new cap. They also had to fill brake fluid and all the other fluids that Your guy told me they filled. An no I have no leaks. I didnt lose all those fluids in 3 days. I now need another oil change. Wont go there anymore and many of my coworkers whom have been going there fir years recently informed me that there are new owners. And my coworkers are no longer happy with the service they have recently received. Really sucks, because its close to work..

As a family with 3 kids of driving age, I have a fleet of older vehicles. I find Tires Unlimited not only convenient, but fair on price and the staff always helpful and friendly. They offer regular discounts and make it easy for me to manage and keep the GTO in all my vehicles. I recommend these guys to anyone because they are a great neighborhood service.

I'm from out of town, had 2 flat tires on boat trailer 15 miles down the highway. I looked them up, they had my trailer tires in stock, I bought a set of 4. Went back n forth to get boat off highway with 2 tires, then brought boat in for other 2. These guys were the best! Answered phone, great price, got me back on road for vacation. I can't say enough about how great office staff and professional guys who helped in shop.

For years this place has served me well but lately it has been less than honorable. First there is the misleading advertising that is designed to make you think you can get a deal on an oil change. In reality it is not a 30 dollar oil change for almost anyone but a 10 dollar off coupon. JUST SAYTHAT Happy customers will still come and not be shocked by a 70 dollar bill. However this is not the reason for this review. In the last year I have replace no less than 5 tire pressure sensors on 3 cars after visiting this shop and having tires replaced. Seems strange since I have never replaced one before in my life. I am an engineer so I understand these thins happen but really the rash seems strange. The last the looked at was not possible to remove without a total replacement and since it is a very slow leak can wait. Next day daughter uses truck total blow out so me tire rim and sensor. hmmmmmmm! #tires unlimited

Would not provide the requested service (aligment) because of a worn part which I was aware of and told them to do it anyway, and still charged me for a suspension check. When I asked why I was required to pay this charge, even though I had not requested it, I was met by a very rude employee that did nothing to help remedy the situation or save a customer relationship over something so trivial. Will not be returning.

I recently heard this shop was purchased by a new owner that operates several other shops around the area, so I thought I would give them a try with some routine service needed on my Yukon as I was up in this area for business. What a refreshing experience! I knew what was necessary to be done and they were able to take care of the work at a reasonable price compared to others that quoted me. Will never come back or being any service on any of my vehicles and came off a shift at work to get my emissions test done clerk at the counter told me that they only do them from 8 to 12 I pulled up at 11:30 was in the building asking for an emissions test by no later than 6 minutes after that clerk at the toll owner and told me that they were no longer doing them looked at my watch realized it wasn't even near 12 thank you so much have fun ripping people off simple fact of the matter is you didn't want to do something that you had to get off your butt to do

I had a scraping noise from my front left wheel and thought it would cost me hundreds for new brakes or bearings -- $25. Turned out it was just a piece of metal that they bent back to get it out of the way. I appreciate their honesty.

The folks at Tires Unlimited we're great. I had 4 tires mounted and balanced, along with an alignment. They were able to get me in the next day and get the job done by the time promised. I told them to look at the valves and replace as needed - They said valves were in good condition. Many other shops would have taken this as an opportunity to just replace all the valves even if it wasn't needed. You guys are straight shooters and I appreciate it. One other pleasant surprise - They use a Road Force balancing machine. From past research I've done, this is the best balancing machine that a shop can use. If you travel at high speeds on the regular like I do this makes a difference. No shakes or vibrations at 90+ mph. Thanks again Jamie!

I had my muffler replaced at Tires Unlimited. The work itself seems to have been done as well as one may expect. The prices were about the same as I have found anyplace else in the area. My one major complaint was the customer service. It took an hour and a half for someone to tell me what was wrong with my car and give me a quote. They only told me after I had gone up and asked what the story was since I saw the car go into, and the out of the garage. There seems to be only 1 person who knows what is going on at any one time. I am not sure if it is the fault of the staff or the organization model. In any event, if you decide to give them your business stay on them or they will forget about you. I for one do not plan on returning.

We have been bringing our vehicles to Tires Unlimited for years because they are trustworthy, truthful (don't oversell), friendly and fairly priced. Randy in Parts really knows and understands foreign cars. He always seems to find reasonably priced parts or refurb parts and can easily diagnose problems. Steve is extremely willing to help and work with you in making good decisions. Doesn't make a difference if you have older cars or the newest models, the staff does their best to get your vehicle back out on the road.

Twice my family bought and had tires put on, here. 1st time they broke a lug bolt, then cahrged me to fix their mistake. The 2nd time(against my advice) my step son bought 4 new tires. All 4 wore prematurely (less than 2000 miles) Tires unlimited refused to honor the warranty and then blamed it on an alignment. After providing proof of an alignment being done just 1 day after buying tires. They blamed the shop who did the alignment, saying they didnt do it correctly. Yet the tires wore evenly ( all 4) and started dry rotting. Tires unlimited is poor buisness with very little knowledge on vehicles.

Steve has to be the rudest service writer I ever dealt with. The work and price was right but his attitude is in need of some serious adjustments. Too bad you can't put him on their alignment rack and fix it. I see owner responded. I can assure you I live in Port. T.U. did my U-joints on a Nissan truck that was still under a factory warranty and you still charged me for it. Funny, you care more about discrediting my name than addressing Steve's poor attitude problem.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to Goodyear (Tires Unlimited) in Port Washington to get tires mounted!!! They're a tire shop and they can't even get tire mounting right! I had a VERY poor experience with this shop. I brought my car into this shop with tires that I purchased elsewhere. My now 3 year old car came in with wheels that were in pretty good shape. There was some very slight damage from the previous owner, but very tolerable. I also asked for an alignment because I'd rather not wreck $1000 tires, so I was quoted up to 1-1/2 hours for the job to be complete. 3-1/2 hours later I'm informed that my vehicle is done. When I got back to my car, I took a walk around before leaving and saw a lot more new damage. I immediately informed the service advisor (Steve) of this, he came to look, and denied that they did this damage. He said he would speak with the shop owner (Chuck) about this issue. The service advisor informed me that him and the owner spoke with the tech who installed the tires, and was told my car came that way. One side note, is after these guys got done with my alignment, they in turn somehow messed up my front driver's side strut and spring, as it now creates a popping noise at low speeds and turns. I had pictures of my wheels from just before I brought my car in, spoke with the owner (who is a very nice and understanding man), and he compared the pictures to my wheels and absolutely agreed that they damaged the wheels. I spent 2 months doing the leg work of finding someone to repair my wheels, but the shop owner agreed to pony up the cash. I found someone who is dedicated to wheels (powder coating) and saved him a lot of money. When I was ready to have my wheels done, I was informed that I would have a loaner, but was told that they did not have any. The service advisor told me that they would have some at the end of the day, which did not help me, nor did I receive a phone call telling me that they finally had one. Fortunately I had access to a friend and their vehicle. The service advisor was NOT nice to me during this whole process. I did some self maintenance and noticed that ALL of my lugs were either loose, just right, tight, or extremely tight. I broke my breaker bar trying to loosen one lug, because it was extremely tight. This is extremely dangerous and could have caused me or others harm. I also noticed that two wheel center caps were damaged or now missing, because Goodyear broke the tabs that hold them in place. In short, AVOID Goodyear (Tires Unlimited) in Port Washington for tire installs!

I really enjoyed coming here up until my last visit. When I was checking out I accidentally used a card that I hadn't activated yet and when I said that to the guy he looked at me like I was a joke and said "yeah" "O.K." really sarcastically. So I grabbed my active card and paid and left. He really made me feel embarrassed. These things happen and he was really rude and unprofessional. You lost a customer.

We started coming here years ago. And for a long time felt this was a great, trustworthy, reliable business. That has since changed. About a year and a half ago we first noticed the service was not as good and started having bad experiences every time we went. Something in my gut kept telling me I can't trust them anymore. The last few times I took the car in I told them about a certain problem. Only for them to come up with a bigger more expensive problem. On this last trip in I came in and said I would like only estimates on 4 different issues. I told them there were 2 separate concerns with my brakes. The front sway bar links had broke again. Which was the 4th time replacing in 4 years. They did it each time. And I told them there was something wrong with the power steering. A leak or something. Which was the problem I brought it in for the time before, but that was ignored. They came back with a $909 estimate on a rack and pinion replacement. What they also did was did work on the car which WAS NOT AUTHORIZED and then charged my mom $53.68 when they were only supposed to do estimates on parts and labor. We were smart enough this time to get a second opinion. Found out there was absolutely nothing wrong with the rack and pinion. Just some leaky seals. Only cost $160. Not $909. I was warned many times by mechanic friends in the past not to go there. I won't be now. They have lost our business for good.Beware. And Chuck, please do not contact us UNLESS its to refund us the $53.68.

I have been going here for 13 years and always have had good service. My vehicles have not been brand new, but they cater to my needs. If you have any questions regarding domestic or foreign talk to Randy Yokes, he has a wealth of knowledge, I guarantee it. 5/15- Same great service under new management. Both my domestic & foreign vehicles go here for any big or small. Domestic had a catastrophic H2O pump failure. They found a good used engine after scrounging across the state and did a great job on installing on my vehicle. I trust them.
