So I was recommended by a good friend to this place cuz they take all their to them. So with that I felt a lil at ease. Well I will not go back. As I brought 2 Factory powder coated rims with factory tires on them. Also two tires with better compound tires to be put on. Told them when I brought them in to be careful with rims because they scratch easy. The guy I talked to said he knows they do it all the time. So I explained a second time and he said he understands he will take care of it. So there are reports of them scratching if you aren't careful. So I left thinking that all was good and felt comfortable. Until I went to pick them up. A different guy hands me the rim of the front tire with no scratches facing me. So my confidence in them was pretty high at that point. And then he hands me the second tire no scratches facing me. My confidence grew even more. That's when I asked about the old tires and that I'd like to get them back as they were still good. Well that's when I inspected the rims on the side they didn't show me. Well let's just say I about lost it. My confidence I just had hit my toes quicker than anyone could ever think it could. There were scratches all along the edges of not just one rim but both. As the guy came back with my old tires. I asked him what the hell happened to my rims. He said oh the came in like that. Well I know for a fact they didn't. I took pics before. And he stated that power coating doesn't scratch it chips. I was so furious that I laugh. I was not very happy n he knew it and kind of pushed me out the shop. I kept asking who authorized to give me back my scratched rims? He just kept saying they came in like that. Then offers me half my money back. Now if your not guilty of scratching them then why offer anything. He should have offered to have them re-powder coated. So I told him to keep the f'ing money that word of mouth advertisement can kill a business just as fast as bring it up. So if you got anything painted, power coated, or chrome I'd be extremely careful bringing it to NKS as they are about getting your money n not customer based. So the talked to the guy that recommended me and told him. He suggested calling the owner as he knew the owner. I called and got the same excuse. They came in like that and that those rims scratch easy. Hmmm then he hangs up on me. So I will say if you care for your rims and tires I suggest not going to this place. It's not worth the time or the money. So I had to have them re-powder coated which was $65 a rim. With a dismount of tires and a remount of tires with no scratches. Go figure. So I recommend not going to NKS as they won't take care of your rims or you as a customer.

Super happy with my experience at NKS Tire in Marinette. They squeezed my SUV in shortly after I dropped it off today, even though my appointment for a tire alignment wasn't until tomorrow. Their prices were really reasonable, and instead of pushing to sell me new tires I couldn't afford, or letting me leave with unsafe tires, they had an affordable solution for my issue.

I would like to share my story with you. On Friday, August 16, a friend and I were returning from a week at a cabin not far from Traverse City, MI. My car was making odd noises so I had a mechanic look at it before we left for home (Twin Cities), but he was unable to diagnose the problem. It was 4:30 pm when smoke started coming out from under the hood. I pulled into a parking lot and started calling mechanics in the area. Kevin from NKS Tire and Service picked up the phone. I gave him our location and within 5 minutes he was looking under the hood and knew exactly what was wrong. A bad bearing in the AC compressor. He said it was safe to drive the car so I followed him to his shop. Once there, he started making phone calls to find a belt that would bypass the AC unit, but get us home safely. There were 2 belts available, but they were not local,so he had them trucked to his shop early on Saturday morning. In the mean time, he had his mechanics prepare my car so that when the new belt arrived on Saturday morning, they could do the repairs quickly. Kevin then called the Tarragon Motel to make sure there was an available room for the night. There was and he drove us there! They gave us a discount, I'm sure because NKS referred us to them. I got a call at 9:30 am Saturday to tell me that my car was ready to go. We were home, safe and sound, by 3:30 that afternoon. Kevin took time to help, even though he was supposed to be on his way to a rehearsal dinner for his brother-in-law. Rarely have I received such exceptional service! He is a credit to his community and I feel very lucky and blessed to have found myself in Marinette and grateful that NKS Tire came up when I googled mechanics in the area. Bought four new tires there in late december. Two months later I drove over a hole and it popped! Not only would NKS not replace it, but they were rude about it! They said if it were just a blow out they would have replaced it no questions asked, but because I said I ran over a hole that they wouldn't do anything. This is a main steet in Green Bay, that my old shitty tires ran over a hundred times with no problem. Why wouldn't NKS even entertain the possibility that it could be a manufacturers defect?? I don't think brand new tires should pop over a regular pothole on a city street...its not like I was off roading or anything. I wouldn't be so upset if they would have said they would look at it and see....they just blew me off. If fact, the man dared my boyfriend to contact the manufacturer, saying they wouldn't do anything about it either! I've always heard good things about this place, and they rotate ur tires for free with an oil change, thats why I drove from Green Bay to Marinette to get new tires. They would have had my continued service also if they knew how to handle bad situations with some customer service...so disappointed!

Absolutely love these guys they are very committed to what they do and they are always honest. They treat every car like it's the car that their family will be riding it. And they are willing to take payments. My car needs a whole front end alignment and we are paying them ahead of time hundred bucks to your 20 bucks there and when we finally have it saved up they are willing to do the work. I was a thousand miles from home; however, they got me back on the road with a used tire for an UNBELIEVABLE price... Well done Wisconsin... Well done.
