I’ve been to this Car-X location in several occasions and have received outstanding service each time. I’ve had the following services without issue or need to return: Trans flush, differential & transfer case fluids, wheel bearing, & oil change. My truck is in tip top shape. I was advised of possible future repairs with no pressure to get them done today. They’ve always been able to fit me in even on same day requests and the service was completed on time. Great place! I am from out of town and took my vehicle in for a tire repair and what I thought needed an alignment, turns out I didn't need one and they called to make me aware that an alignment was unnecessary. Never have I had a repair shop call to let me know that work wasn't needed, usually toally opposite. Just shows that these guys care about your wallet and are only there to do what's actually needed for your vehicle. Thanks!!

I have been pleased with all service I had done here so far. They have been honest and never tried to sell me what I didn't need. I can actually confirm the other review on here about CarX telling someone they didn't need an alignment as I was sitting in the shop when it happened. That is the first time I have seen a shop do that! They also pointed me to another shop for one specialty item the tech thought another shop had better equipment to perform, which I appreciate a lot vs ending up having to pay for it twice. Keep up the good work and service!

I have always had a hard time trusting mechanics. I brought my car in because it was running poorly and car x just happened to be the closest repair center. Brandon and his team took time to help me out, right at the end of their day. Brandon correctly diagnosed my issue and set up time for me to come in the next day. I had the worst experience going there. the guy 1st was like are you sure you have an appointment? yes I called in and made sure you had my tires the previous day. they did not have my tires they tried to tell me that the other tires were just as good as a tires that I was had ordered and just very rude and very cocky and I walked out without having the tires put on if I could give them a -5 stars that's what I would do

I trust that when I take my vehicle here, it will be fixed correctly and the staff does go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable while waiting for your vehicle. This is the second time ive tried going to the Appleton location. The first time I was turned away because I was 2 mins late and they took my spot the second time I made 2 appointments on their website and was told I would receive a confirmation email-which I did. I made the appointment Monday and when I went Saturday I was turned away because the online is just a "request". Someone had 5 days to contact me to tell me that you were too booked to have me bring my car in and waste my time driving across town. The manager is a total jerk

I first went here a year ago to get my tires done and I never thought I'd be happier with the service and price! To my joy and surprise, these wonderful people managed to blow me away even more when I took my car in yesterday, thinking there was an issue with my coolant. Within the hour, everything was checked out top to bottom and turned out to be a sensor issue. While they were looking, the exact fuse was found that could fix my power steering system. I have not had power steering on my 15 year old car in about 3 years and everyone I took it to before offered me $700-1000 to fix it. As a poor 20-something, I couldn't afford this. These amazing mechanics found out that not only was my power steering fine, it was just a fuse that had broken, and asked me if they could fix it for FREE. All in all, they sent me home with my power steering functional and a full engine and diagnostic check WITHOUT PAYING ANYTHING FOR THE ENTIRE SERVICE. Please go here. These people are STELLAR

Have gone here for about 3 oil changes. My car always runs smoothly afterwards (unlike at Meineke's where it broke down the same day). I never schedule ahead, I just walk in and they tell me it will be done within a few hours.

The customer service was splendid and they were accommodating but we were provided an incorrect diagnostic of one of our cars at a $2,500 quote. Fortunately my husband decided he could do the work himself for a fraction of the price and went in search of parts. When doing so, American Fleet recommended he bring it in for review as it may not need the suggestion and when we did, American Fleet provided a diagnostic mirroring the data our Drivewise reported and repaired our vehicle for HALF of Car-X's quote! What's most troubling is the fact that 1. I showed Car-X the Drivewise report, he wrote the codes down and STILL provided an incorrect estimate and 2. American Fleet said "it's a good thing you brought it in because that's NOT AT ALL what's wrong with your vehicle so you would've been out of a whole lot of money for nothing". Overall, they're good for an oil change but nothing else!

Brought my 2007 Chevy Cobalt in for an exhaust leak. They only replaced what needed to be replaced (the resonator and part of the pipe) and got it fixed and got me in and out in just over an hour for under $80. Now my car doesn't sound like a motorcycle anymore and I have MUCH more money in my pocket than if I would have gone to my dealership. Would DEFINITELY recommend this place to others.

I had to stop in while visiting family due to an unbalanced tire issue. I was going to do a tire rotation and balance on all four tires. Sean, the assistant manager looked at my car and came to the conclusion that a full tire rotation wouldn’t gulp much and that because fix-a-flat was in the tire with the issue, a perfect balance wasn’t guaranteed. Instead of going ahead and charging me for services I did not need, he offered alternative options to help, including moving the problematic tire to the rear to reduce the shaking in the steering wheel for no charge. Sean’s integrity and true desire to help customers without exploiting them makes this place stand out far above other auto shops. I would highly recommend this location to friends, family, and anyone for their repair needs. If management holds this level of responsibility and dedication to their customers, I know their staff maintains the same values. Thank you for all of your help to make my drive home a little bit easier and safer.

I got my car towed here to replace a broken fuel pump with an estimate of $500. They called me every two days for two weeks to inform me of a new problem they found, end total was a magical $999. During the two weeks they held my car hostage & didn't work on it I had to rent a car. When I finally got it back gasoline fumes inside the car were overwhelming, even with all four windows open. I took it back & Andy & Luke admitted they cracked open the top of my fuel tank by mistake & just left it. Luke, Andy's brother, offered to take it home to his house & smear sealant all over the top of the tank, which is a felony, for only $200. Adam offered to have it fixed for $700. If I wouldn't have been so busy with work & my Dad dying I absolutely would have reported them to the Dept of Licensing & Regulation. Andy & his brother are criminals, Luke got fired later for something else. The car x in Kimberly was amazing, but now closed unfortunately. The Wisconsin Ave location needs to be shut down until they fire the criminals working there.

Very small auto shop located in an easily noticable location with an out of the way driveway location, very strange setup but it works. Place was not really that clean when I was there and the mechanics were generally keeping to themselves not interacting with customers, could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for... The man who seemed to be the manager that actually helped all the customers referred to everybody as "boss-man" or "boss-lady" which was white entertaining actually. They were quick and efficient which is what most people look for. Oil change in about 20 minutes. Overall good place.

I went into this Car X location in April of 2013 with a coupon for an oil change, tire rotation, and free brake inspection upon request. I really feel Andy (the new manager) and Gary (the technician on duty) did an excellent job. Not only did they do what was on the coupon, the also took it upon themselves to see why my exhaust sounded like an earthquake for me. Andy explained what was wrong (and also took my into the shop to show me) with my exhaust and a week later I made an appointment to have him take care of that too. My total bill was VERY reasonable and I am very satisfied. I will be bringing my vehicle there from now on because, their customer service and ability where both excellent. Keep up the good work guys!
