I had been looking for a rim for my car for about 2 months. I had been calling junk yards in the area and was having no luck. Then one day I seen a post on Facebook advertising their business. The post said used tires, but I commented to see if they might have a rim. They responded back within a few hours asking me more details of what I was needing. Within minutes they confirmed they had what I was looking for. I was unsure of their exact location but realized they are just past the Capital on the Boulevard. The price I was quoted for a rim was right in line with what I was expecting to pay elsewhere. However, I was expecting to just buy a rim and have it mounted and balanced at an additional cost. But nope, they took care of all it all at the price they quoted me. They won me over with their awesome service. I will definately be seeing them again to get a rim for my full size spare. I would like to add that they contacted me a few hours later to ask me how the rim was working out so far..

We were traveling through WV on the way home on a Sunday. We got a flat and changed to the spare tire. We kept traveling and called several places along the way. We were told either the was a 1-2 hour wait or they were to busy. Coming up on Charleston, I called Mountaineer.... she said to come right in. We did, they had us fixed up and ready to go in 20 minutes! Great people, great service... on a Sunday!!

Away from home with the sudden flat tire on a Saturday night, I Google searched "Charleston West Virginia tires", and discovered that this was one of very few merchants in that category with Sunday business hours in the city. I called the number that showed up, and spoke to a very pleasant woman who told me that, while they weren't actually open on Sundays (despite their public Internet listing), they had an appropriate tire for me in stock, which they could install for me in about 15 minutes the next morning, if I would just call when I wanted them to come meet me at their shop. With an urgent need to get home to another state for work the next morning, this sounded like the perfect solution to my problem, and I was exceedingly grateful. When I called multiple times to the same number as directed and left a message the next morning, no one ever called me back, leaving me stranded in a strange state. This business needs to update their online listing to display accurate business hours, as well as return phone contact for clients to whom they have promised service. I would not trust this business in an emergency!

My fiancé has been here 3 times now and we’ve never had a bad experience. Very honest and straightforward folks. They’re incredibly efficient and speedy as well! It took less than like 15 minutes for them to replace our rear tires and rotate them. The pricing was very reasonable and it was altogether the most painless process we’ve dealt with. Highly recommend!

Worst service EVER!!!! We called ahead to see if they had a tire in the size we needed, they said they were driving they would call us when they got to the shop. Half hour later we called them and they said they did have one. When we get there this man hands my husband a tire that not only has 3 puncture holes but is so dry rotted its falling apart. When my husband asked if there were any other tires because this one wasnt going to work and stated the reasons why the man says "well just leave it then" and walked off rudely. Mind you they tried to charge us $25 for this ridiculous tire. Won't ever be back! Went to Marty's he was very professional and got us up running and back on our way. Don't go here there a joke.

This whole business is run on a tiny gas generator that they cant even remember the gas for. No electricity, no running water, needles everywhere and broken glass, two abused pit bulls for security and constant barking, they quote everyone different prices based on that days heroin needs, or meth if their working. Stay away, BBB has been alerted as well as current cpd investigations and ksd have ongoing investigations as well. Be warned.

So disappointed! I never write reviews, but I don't want anyone to go through what I went through with these people! I went there to get 4 tires on my car before inspection. I mean I know you get what you pay for, but the tires they put on did not pass inspection and on top of that they broke the sensor on one of my tires. The guy there told me he broke it and glued it back on and said to come back if I hear it rolling around in the tire. Well I did hear it rolling around and took my car to my dealership and they told me it would cost over 300 dollars to fix it. I called Moutaineer tire and let them know what happened and the owners wife was EXTREMELY rude and argued with me that he didn't break the censor on purpose so they weren't responsible. I won't argue with people so I let it go, but please do not go here spend the couple extra dollars and go somewhere better!!

Needed a a flat tire removed from rim and new tire mounted. I already had the new tire. I called ahead to confirm their location and received a pleasant greeting with a great price quote! I showed up within minutes of the call and they took care of me promptly on a busy Friday around midday to mid-afternoon. I was pleased with the service and will consider them again in the future!

They do not take care of your needs. Waited for them to come out to us like they said ... waited for hour with no news and got answering machine when I called back. Out of state, pulling a heavy time sensitive load. These are not the people to call. Poor service

Fast service... Yes Friendly people... Yes! Needs lots of work... Yes! I went in and got a used tire and it was flat again 2 days later, (not their fault he told me I needed a new air valve after taking a look... probably the problem from the very start but gave me a tire) I'm having a hard time getting in contact with them. They have a 3day warranty on there tires so I didn't want to exceed the 3 days before they gave me BS. So yesterday we just pop up at the shop because they never answer the phone or return calls (left 3 voicemails) so we get there up and he had me get the part to fix the tire so he could fix it, I told him I would be back tomorrow because I was short on time and had to go to work. I show up today (the next day) and no ones there. Its closed... They claim there hours are from 9-6 and I was there at 9:30 am... So I called the number on the front of their shop and guess what... no one answered, or returned my call yet. Will not be returning

I needed an emergency tire replacement & was traveling. After calling 14 different places, from Huntington to Charleston WV, I finally found the exact size I needed at Mountaineer Tire. I called 'last minute' so, I wasn't sure if I would make it before they closed. The owner answered & she was AMAZING!!! She said she would hold the tire for me so, I drove as fast as I could get by with. Pulled on to the parking lot at 2 minutes until their closing time & thinking I would be told to come back tomorrow, which wasn't an option for me. Much to my surprise, the gentleman working that day came right out to my car (All smiles even...at 2 minutes until their closing time??? Huh? That's unheard of these days!), I told them what I needed & was told they were expecting me. They went straight to work! WOW, was I impressed! And it got even better from there! I realized I had no cash, only my debit card, to pay for service. The owner smiled at me & said, "No problem at all. I'll give you a ride to the closest ATM!" WHAT? Was I in a dream? We hopped in her car, she drove me to an ATM & by the time we returned, my tire was replaced AND a free tire rotation thrown in too! I paid the owner plus a little extra for the gentleman who did the work because honestly, I was 100% impressed with the service I received from the entire staff...from answering my first call to handing me my receipt! I cannot say enough great things about Mountaineer Tire! The entire staff, including the super sweet lot doggie, all went WAY beyond the call of duty for me that day! I am eternally grateful for them and I will make sure to tell everyone I know how wonderful they are, in order to send more business their way!!! THANK YOU Mountaineer Tire for an outstanding Customer Service Experience!!!!
