I brought my car into Ace because I had a slow—but steady leak. I’m in the middle of a major move so this tire problem was almost the straw that broke the camels back!! The guys who are at the front desk are so helpful and laid back. Turns out they couldn’t get my tire off because I didn’t have the key for the locked lug nut. In the end I had to take my car to the Mercedes dealer .... but these guys were so gracious and understanding and charged me nothing. What an unusually wonderfully customer oriented business!!!!

These fellows saved my entire road trip! I was travelling from Canada when my car started making funny sounds near Seattle. I called a different auto shop first and they said they would charge me $109 US or $140 Cdn to diagnose my car. These fellows at ACE Auto Repair and Tire did it for free and gave me a detailed list of the issues wrong with my car and told me it was safe to drive. I was so relieved! I asked to pay for the 45 mins inspection they did, a couple of times and they refused. I was shocked! I really lucked out in meeting these honest fellows. I would have paid anything to get my car working again, but they didn’t take advantage of that. Plus they reviewed my car immediately so I didn’t miss any plans for my trip. Thank you ACE Auto Repair and Tire for your honest and skillful diagnostic work on my car! Your reassurance was greatly appreciated and my road trip had no issues. Second time to Ace Auto. First time I chose it because of all the great reviews and the second time was because the 5 star reviews are accurate and the first trip was exceptional. Dave was great in explaining what was needed to my truck and getting it done. You'll see that Dave responds to all reviews and wants to do what is needed to make all of them 5 stars. This shows me that he cares about the customer, the work being done and about his business reputation, and he would not let poor workmanship be done at his shop. Everyone that I saw looked like they were enjoying their job. The shop is clean and has a good waiting area. I can now have a summer of towing, confident that my truck is safe for myself and my family. I will be recommending this shop to family and friends and will be a continuing customer (hopefully not too soon though because nobody wants to go to a tire shop regularly!)

I had a great experience with these guys. Jiffy Lube completely botched my last oil change and the guys at Ace helped me diagnose it and fixed it right away. JJ is wonderful. He took me into the shop to get under the car and really see what was going on. It was refreshing for someone to take the time to help me understand! Highly recommend. Need to give these guys more props. Worth driving out of the way if you need to. They got my horse trailer on the road for me this last summer and are doing some work on my truck right now. Dave is a crook!!! I went to have a vehicle inspected for a car purchase. They charged $99 buyer's inspection which is fair. After the inspection, Dave & Jose hand me an inspection report which shows a list of things that needs to be done. I told them that I need to go home and things about it. I consulted a friend of mine who is a mechanic and we find out that they are making 300% profit on the parts and charging $130 on labor per hour. They quoted me $2300. I got everything fixed at $855. Way to go Ace Auto Repair, you should be called Crook Auto repair. I will not recommend this mechanic to anyone!!!

***Warning you all. Do not go for any kind of car service They will rip your ass off. This is my second time went for break service. I went first time May 2016 for break service. That was bad exprience waiting long time and paid high price. They will push you to fix your car. I tried for 2nd time. I went today Nov 30th 2017. This time I took appointment for 1pm but they do not have my name in there system and did not know my appointment today. I kept my last year bill and show them then hours to check my break inspection. Dave came up me and told me your break pad has only 3% left and told me about requriment services. It cost me $550 some thing. I told him want to change only front break service. He said I have to order parts so it will take to finish 2 hours. I got pissed up. Already waited for more than hours just only for break inspection. When I took appointment told them my front break need to change , it has been making noise. They screwed my day. They do not have any kind of promotion nor there many customer. I waitted for almost 4 hours in there store. They are not organized and not friendly. I went support local and neighbours business but it did not worth. I read all those reviews if there is negative review their respond was not in our system. I hope they will take customers feedback. I brought my old jeep into this place to get an assessment of whether it was safe to drive and what problems were emerging. The mechanic was extremely thorough and went over the issues with my jeep point by point. Even more importantly, he shows me on the jeep itself the various problems. This was great, thorough and clear service. Honestly, I would have been happy to pay them a fee for the great insurrection. I'll definitely go back when I have a vehicle that needs maintenance or repairs. I'd like to state clearly : I don't know anyone at this car service place nor do I have a connection with the owners or anything like that. This is my own honest review.

I requested an estimate thru the yelp app and Dave the owner responded in very short order. One company responded before him but I thought 118 was high and deferred. Dave quoted a significantly lower price and he had great reviews so I booked via text with him. I went in the next day at the appointed time and explained I needed an alignment and rotation because I was driving back to LA. He came back before doing the work to let me know one tire was showing significant wear. I had a total check up at the dealer some months ago and changed 3 of the 4 tires because the 4th still had notable life and the bill was already running over 2k. Dave said I could still drive on it for a bit but driving 1100 miles to LA, I didn't think was worth the risk so I had him order the tire. He said he would order the same model to match. The next day he explained there are 3 models within the model because Yokohama makes 3 different tires for the prius V. For me there was little enough difference between them to forego the one he received. He didn't normally stock Yokohamas so he had to research it before calling. I really appreciate the time and care he took before calling me to offer to send it back. I went in to get the work done and he showed me on the machine that there was something up with one of my tires. He showed me that the numbers were within tolerance but one was a little tweaked but still within normal limits. It was a heads up to watch that one and because he could not adjust it just right it might still pull ever so slightly. Dave is the owner and he serviced my car personally. I would highly recommend Ace Auto to anyone. Dave is fanatically honest, keeps an immaculate shop and is just the nicest person I've met in Seattle. I didn't mean to write a book.

I love this place! They're always super friendly and very helpful. I came in last month with one flat tire and another tire leaking air, so I had all of my tires replaced. And as my luck will have it, and got ANOTHER flat tire within weeks of having them replaced. I was able to drop off my flat tire, and they had it replaced for only the cost of labor. I was worried I'd have to buy a whole new tire, but they did that for me! Bonus because it's conveniently located to me, and there are many food places in the area of you're hungry and need to wait. I will definitely keep coming back here and would highly recommend it!

My car, a Mazda 6, had several issues: engine light was on, bad rear shock and needed brake service. I dropped my car off and got a call back from Dave that morning. He gave me a competitive quote (had 2 other quotes) and could have the work done that day. The engine light appeared to be a non-issue and he did not charge for diagnosis. I've had the car for a week now with no complaints. I've read some of the lower reviews and just can't imagine what was going on. Given the location (close to my house) , the costumer server and pricing, Ace will be my local mechanic in the future.

On an out of town trip through Seattle, I started noticing a whistling sound each time I went up hill or accelerated to pass. I pulled in to Ace Auto Repair on Saturday. Even though they were already busy with other vehicles, Dave had his mechanic Chris take my truck for a drive. Chris found the problem to be a faulty clamp causing an air leak. While under the hood they also noticed my serpentine belt was old and starting to crack. They replaced both the clamp and belt, and within an hour I was back on the road! Thanks for working me in, solving my problem and giving me more than a fair deal. You guys have earned my repeat business and prove that customer service is still alive!

I'll be going back next time I need something for my vehicle! Edit: I went back to this shop to get new tires and they did a great job! I came into the shop with a small puncture in the middle of the tire. They said that run-flats not able to be repaired and tried to sell me 4 new tires for around $1,200. The tires still had ample life in them. I took it to a place nearby and got the tire repaired for $16.95. I sense this is a good shop, but the fact that they tried to up sell me and take advantage of their client has me never want to use them. - Added note, I never ran the tire deflated. I have a warning system in my car and added pressure when the warning light came on thus the sidewalls of that tire were not compromised.

Ace Auto Repair & Tire Pros provided me an excellent experience and repairs beyond expectations. Dave, the manager, makes it all happen. After I dropped the car off at the shop, he said he'll have it assessed and let me know the next day. To my surprise, he called me the same day and explained what was needed, provided an estimate for repairs and time I can expect to get the car. Well, they finished the work one day ahead and the actual cost was lower than the estimate. The three that made me so happy are: One, Dave kept me updated on my car/repairs if anything changed. Two, they were so resourcefuil in quickly getting parts. Three, they can be trusted to give you a car back that works great. Their attention to details is commendable.

They did a lot of work on my vehicle everything seemed to of went together well brakes, new tires, cracked pitman and a few other things., I had them also do an oil change on my truck, quick simple.. after a week of driving week noticed I was about a quart low on oil, I gave them so much money for repairs $2500+ I decided i would let them figure out what went wrong, I made appointment, for them to check why my truck was leaking. It took about 90mins. for them to come back and tell me that the oil filter wasn't on all the way and that they tightened it and added more oil. I was a little annoyed by their lack of promptness, when I left I rechecked my oil shortly after and found out, they did not add more in like they stated. well it has been about three month since then, I just changed out my oil by myself this weekend, and discovered my oil pan plug was barely hand tight.... Thats a huge no-no, thank God that it didn't fall off while I was driving on the high way, that would have seized my engine which is $10,000 mistake.. Looking back at the whole thing...90min wait, told me they only had to tighten my oil filter, told me they topped off my lost oil, and now found the loose oil pan screw, I don't think they respected me or my vehicle and definately would recomend you keep you eye peeled if you go in to get something worked on by this guy. He seemed legit but he's a snake.

I arrived at Ace after walking out of a big name tire store due to being told it could take two hours for them to check my tire. Ace was very friendly told me they could look at it right away. They quickly had a diagnosis as a leaky valve stem/ tps unit and it would be just a ten dollar part. Five minutes later my car was done and they didn't even charge me for the part. We've been going to another local garage for years. They're great, super friendly, fast and honest but they're a small boutique outfit with only a few stalls and a long list of clients. Therefore, they can charge a premium. We needed a ton of work done on a car we just bought and when I got the estimate from these guys, I about fell out of my chair. I decided we needed to get a second opinion so we dropped by Ace with the estimate we'd been given and asked what it would cost to get the work done there instead. Dave, the owner was super friendly and was happy to have a look. He got back promptly with a price that was about A THIRD LESS than my usual garage. They also pointed out a couple things the other guys had flagged that upon inspection, they didn't think really needed to be done. We decided to give them a shot. The car is running like a dream now and I saved about $1000 bucks. Needless to say, we have a new garage now. Thanks Dave!

Stopped in near closing time with a burnt out headlight lamp. Dave asked if I could wait thirty minutes or come back tomorrow. He saud he ordered the bulb and it would be there in a half hour. We decided on replacing both bulbs. Waited in a nice waiting area. Part came and only one bulb showed up. Dave replaced bulb said the other would be in tomorrow and I'll adjust the bill. Went in today for second bulb. Excellent service and a unexoected touch to adjust the bill.

What a terrible experience. I really wanted to like these guys; new business, facility looks nice, right here in my neighborhood. I took my vehicle in, telling them that there was a problem with the rear differential. I left the car with them, they called back an hour later, told me that the problem was likely the rear differential. Their quote, though, was grossly over competitors (5x higher!). $99 diagnostic fee and a quote of $169 for service. Total cost would be $268 plus tax. I received two other quotes (both using authentic Honda fluid), one for $50 and another for $95 (neither shop would charge a diagnostic fee). When I explained my concerns about their charges the owner at Ace held firm. I paid the diagnostic fee ($108 after tax) and declined their service; I wont be back. I can report that the competitor did a great job at the $50 price quoted, and problem is solved. Unfortunately I can't recommend going to Ace Auto Repair & Tire and will advise my friends/neighbors to go elsewhere.

We live nearby, my sis got a screw lodged in her tire, so we stopped by to get it fixed. I have never seen such a clean lobby and waiting area, everything tidy, bathroom spotless. Hands down this place has the most caring, positive customer service I have ever encountered! About 3 weeks ago I brought my car in with an issue. The guy who worked with me J.J. was very positive, friendly and above all, he REALLY took the time to not only explain to me and educate me on what exactly they were doing but he even took me to my car to visually show me what was going on. I really felt welcomed and cared for at the shop. Then this morning, I had to take my car in again for something that I originally thought was related but as it turns out it was unrelated and they just went ahead and took care of it for me but it wasn't just the effort they put into my car. It was the super positive attitude, and the caring nature that Dave at the shop had. He really makes people feel cared for and really takes the time to explain things as far as what is going on. Honestly he is a person I can tell loves his job because of the values that he puts into the way he treats people and the way he takes care of things. This shop makes me feel like they truly care about getting the job done right and effectively and their positive attitudes in which they really take their time to explain things to customers goes above and beyond customer service. I have been a customer of theirs for several years. My first experience was great. I was working to fix a chronically leaking tire - that the dealership couldn't even tell me what was wrong. They are always super friendly helpful and honest. Cars can be tricky and they have always helped me navigate tricky situations. Several times I wanted to spend more money to get a lot of issues resolved at once, but they steered me to a cheaper alternative first which really helped save a lot of headache, time and money. I continue to go here for tires, alignment and suspension first and foremost since this is where they shine. I also continue to come here for an odd car of mine which is an imported Mitsubishi van. I came here for a brake fluid flush and to talk tires a few weeks ago and I’m so glad I did. I had a laundry list of things that the dealership told me needed to be done immediately for my car’s maintenance (which I bought from them six months ago, ugh) and Ace gave it to me straight! I needed new tires, Ace was close to my house, and they were open on Saturdays, so I went in for a quote. JJ gave me a couple options and explained the pros and cons of each one clearly without any pressure or up selling. I prefer to support local businesses, but I also thought that a franchise of a large tire company might have better prices, so I also got a quote from one. Comparable tires there were $21 more each, and installation added on another $7.50 per tire, for a total of over $100 more, plus all kinds of other upsells I didn't need. I called Ace back to order tires before I even left the other store's parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised that I could "come in any time after 9:30" instead of having to meet a particular time slot. When I brought my car in, there was no wait at all to get the work started. Unfortunately, once it was up on the lift, they found that a wheel bearing needed to be replaced. JJ took me out into the shop and let me see it for myself instead of just telling me to trust him. That was a pricey part, and I was on a tight budget, however, JJ offered to just replace the wheel bearing (an immediate safety issue) even though they had special ordered the tires for me. I decided to go ahead and get it all done at once, and they assigned two guys to work on the car so that they could still get it out in time for me to get to work. I paid a fair price and left with a good warranty, a safe car, and helpful knowledge about what work should be done in the future. I'm not sure I've ever before had a mechanic tell me that something wasn't urgent and could be dealt with at my convenience instead of pressuring me to shell out more money on the spot. I will definitely come back to Ace in the future.

Total scam, worst mechanic ever. Watch out for there b.s. tow policy.... If what Dave was saying about the vehicle was true, I would under his concern and need for the car to be towed. However, since this incident the car has been evaluated by a ASE certified mechanic who didn't believe the car to be a extreme immediate safety concern as stated by Dave. This mechanic also drove the car and gave us the green light to continue driving it as is. The mechanic stated that the car had normal wear for a 17 year old, but that there were no safety concerns and no reason to not have been allowed to drive the car off of Ace's lot. Beware of the shop, I will continue to remind all of my friends and those wise enough to listen. Never go to this shop. Worst mechanic I've ever dealt with.

We were getting ready for a family road trip and I asked my wife to go to the tire store near our house and get the tires rotated. During the rotation it was pointed out that we had a worn strut and leaky shocks and we received a quote for the job. I was not prepared for that kind of expense although the vehicle (2006 Honda Odyssey) is almost 10 years old with 93K miles on it. I had recently been made aware of Ace Auto so I figured I would give them a call to see if they could squeeze us in and provide a better quote than the local tire shop. They are a bit of a drive for me but I am glad I made the call. I spoke with Dave who gave me a quote which was lower than the tire store so we found a time that would work on our schedule. Once the vehicle was in the shop I received a call from Dave who let me know that I required a few more items to be serviced. Many people think that auto repair shops just nickel and dime them with little items just to make a buck (I'm one of those people) but I would like to say that I am happy that Dave called me about these items because these were items I had previously put off due to being laid off of my job at the time when they were due and I had completely forgotten about them. This was confirmation to me that it was not a nickel and dime job because they were the exact items that I had previously put off to get done at another time. Dave knew I was already a bit stretched with the cost of the shock/strut/alignment job but he did the right thing by letting me know the truth. I know this was a long post, but thought it necessary in order to give the complete picture of my satisfaction. We took our family road trip and the vehicle is driving quite a bit nicer than before the work! I don't plan on having this vehicle in the shop often, but when I do it is worth the drive for this kind of quality service. Thanks Ace!

My daughter was recently involved in a fender bender when a car struck the rear side and wheel of her car. The damages looked minor whth the wheel slightly out of alignment. Being from out of the area and on a Saturday we chose Ace auto to take a look at the car. The staff was great even though they were extremely busy we were treated like a priority customer. Dave took the time to look at the car and determined the damage was much more extensive. We left the car there until insurance could make a determination which they ultimately totaled the car. Even though we didn’t have Ace repair the car their customer service was above and beyond any shop I’ve ever been to. I certainly would not hesitate going back. Thank you Ace auto.

My car broke down right in front of Ace while I was on my way to Discount Tires to get my tires replaced. Dave informed me that there would be a $90 diagnosis fee, but that I would get $45 back if I decided to get my repairs threre. As it turns out there was just moisture in my distributor and so nothing needed to be replaced or changed. However, I got a quote for the tires that I wasn't originally going to get there and was also told I needed an alignment. So I went ahead and got the alignment and tires done. When I went back to pick up my car they originally forgot to charge me for the tires, but I went back in to have them charge me for them. I asked for my $45 back but was told that they wouldn't credit me that because it was a different issue. I'm annoyed that they refused to credit me back the $45, because I could've chosen to just pay the diagnosis charge and not have gotten the tires or alignment done, leaving them out of $230. I understand they did some work but the point of that credit is that the customer is already going to have to pay for other parts.
