I wish I could give this place 100 star rating! I want to personally thank Sean and the trainee Mark for helping me out when I was in a bind. I will never forget the generosity that they showed. The shop was very fast at getting the tire on and me on my way back to Alexandria. Sean and Mark showed amazing customer service. Service that you can not find anywhere else these days. What ever you are doing when it comes to training your staff.....do not change a thing!! Thank you again I will never forget and will always suggest you guys to my friends! P.S. First and foremost, the employees behave very unfriendly and cannot interact with customers. This is not my first encounter with this store. I thought I might be oversensitive. They have performed an absolute unprofessional work and damaged my tire, instead of fixing it, and did not want to take any responsibility. I do not recommend to go this shop at all. They are crooked.

This location is First Rate Customer Service. As a female car owner I have had my share of shady car mechanics and dealers but from the moment I stepped foot inside this place, Manager Alex Rodriguez made sure I was well taken care of. Have used Hogan and Son's, first in Leesburg then in Sterling, for years. They have always been honest, never tried to sell me anything I didn't need and have been creative in repairs I did need always keeping costs down. Over the years Philip, the Manager, and various machanics have have taken me into the shop and literitly walked me through countless repairs on various vehicles and has shown me the worn and broken parts. They have always stood behind all of their work. I trusted them with all my kids cars as they grew up and all my cars as we commuted to work. Stay away from this place. They will over charge you and use misinformation and dubious methods to trick you. I went in for a battery change and was billed $273 while the likes of Sears charged $150. Also, the staff is arrogant and unprofessional and will ridicule you. They prey on foolish people that they charge ridiculous rates.

Horrible experience, a state inspection which cost us over $250+ plus and around 10 plus hours of our busy schedule and after 5 months we came to know actually our state inspection were not done. 1. We went there in Nov 2016 for an state inspection, they suggested us few other things and made us an invoice of around $209 which we agreed on. 2. This included a gas cap change, which actually had issue after replacing it not before, now we have only error showing that we need check gas cap, which was not there before, so actually gas cap had no issue at all they made us change it. 3. They reset the van and suggested we need drive it 75 miles and then come back for emission test, we followed instruction and went back, now this time they suggested they cannot do emission test without a diagnostic test of costing $350 plus, so they again reset the system and said drive it for another 75 mile and then come back. 4. We drove it again 75 miles and went back, they again refused to do emission test but finally they did it and it pass test, so we were finally ok, and decided we not coming back here again. 5. After 5 months I had to go to DMV wait for my turn for 3 hours and finally when its my turn they told us that we do not have state inspection done so they cannot serve us, for which we paid in Nov to "Hogan and sons " and were told its done. 4. I went back to them asking why is that, first they refused to even admit that they charged us for state inspection, I came back home and found invoice and then went back to them, if they did not do state inspection then why they charged us? 5. At this point they had no answer, now they saying they charged us but they did not do it, so they can do it again but now I need wait again, by now I lost my trust on them and I did not wanted them to do any servicing anymore on my van. Overall a state inspection which cost us a fault in our van showing gas cap error always, over $250 expense for no reason and a very valuable 10 plus hours of our busy schedule, we have extremely bad experience with this auto service and I have no words to explain my frustrating with them. All their intention was to charge us more and more but not do the actual service we paid for and we went their for, they just misguide you. Luckily I did not get ticket for state inspection not done.

I got a flat tire on the way to work so I put on my spare tire and then started calling around to see if I could find a place that was open at 7AM and could patch the tire. Alex answered my call and said they could get me in. He was able to patch the hole made by the screw and he didn't even charge me!

On 25 February, I went there to fix my car's flat tire. They pulled my car to fix it but later the store manager Ken Gilbert told me that all the tire should be changed because of tire tread wear. He told me the cost of all four tire will be about $750 and then I stepped back as I couldn't afford it. Then he assured me that i could pay it on monthly installment for six months on 0% finance. He asked me for my social security number just to check whether i qualify for that or not and i gave him my information. On the time he was checking my document I goggled the price of four tire which was $540 on Costco including their fee and every thing and i told him i don't want to change the tires currently and postpone it for later. But today i got the credit card from the Hogans and sons which i never applied. He never talked about applying for the credit card and misused my information. Even though their service is good but they charge very high for the costumers. For few dollars they get on making new credit card , they misused my information and send a credit card which i never asked and applied affecting my credit. I just recommend others to check price on other store before replacing any parts from this store.

If you're like me, going to a car shop when you know nothing about cars can be intimidating but Hogan & Sons in Sterling was awesome! First, my phone call to schedule the appointment was great--the guy was friendly and very accommodating to my situation (my tire was leaking due to running over a drill bit--oops!). Then, upon walking in for my appointment, I was immediately welcomed, experienced stellar customer service and not for one minute did I feel intimidated due to lack of car knowledge. I would absolutely recommend this shop to a friend and I plan on returning for my future car needs.

Store Manager was not courteous. I got a package from Hogan & sons for oil change and tire rotation. But only oil change was done and not tire rotation. When asked, Store Manager said its customer responsibility to request and that they will never ask the customer what additional services is required.

Amazing customer service! Needed a new tire for my van after a blowout and even after searching and buying my tire elsewhere, Alex had no issue mounting the new tire on my rim and balancing it for me. Best service I have ever received! Hogan and Sons replaced my two front tires and wouldn't you know it within a week, I had somehow run over another nail and woke up to a flat front right tire! I was unable to get the tire off of the car so they sent Ruben to my house with an air compressor to re-inflate the tire so I could drive it up to the shop. He was amazing. When I got there, Alex was already aware of the situation and they were ready to get working on repairing the tire. This place is fantastic. No nonsense service, friendly staff, and a level of customer service I have rarely seen. Especially in auto care. I'd give them 10 stars if that was an option!

Hogan and Sons Goodyear has Excellent service! I have been there 2 times now and every visit has been positive. Before going to Hogan and Sons, I went to Merchants Tire to get a basic oil change, I was told that I had a gas leak due to bad rear and front shocks (which was very untrue). I was told by Merchants that I needed to fix my rear shocks or I would risk serious damage to my car, so I got them replaced (or so I thought). After being charged for the rear shocks and labor (over $400), I took my car to Hogan and Sons to get my front shocks checked out. Come to find out I was shown that new rear shocks were never put on my car and I realized I was charged for nonexistent new shocks and labor by Merchants. I was also shown that I didn't even need new shocks to begin with. It was very reassuring to get the TRUTH from Hogan and Sons. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I will never take my car anywhere but Hogan and Sons again!

After seeing a few poor reviews, it appears to be the typical "the auto shop guys are out to screw me" people complaining, that are on original tires, belts etc at 60,000 miles and wonder why the shop has maintenance recommendations. Stupid. I use these guys for basic oil/lube for 2 cars regularly and the service reps are friendly. It's easy: get a written estimate of anything recommended, shop it around for the best price and 2nd opinion.

You'll be sorry! Yes, they have a nice facility and smiling staffs, wifi..... Disguise! They are far from honest. They will find any non essential repair. And if you don't want to fix it, that's when they bring the sale rep in his white shirt who'll try to scare you, pressure you.... (the whole book). I read the review and still went(sometimes the are biased), now i'm sorry I did. Never again!! Took my car in for an inspection and on the way out my GPS unit was missing. When I asked management to take responsibility, management implied that I am a liar and to get out. The manager was rude and not for a second apologetic. Shame on you!

The best service and outstanding customer service. Alex personally took care of me. I had a flat tire and was stuck he came out of the store just to help me out. He went above and beyond to ensure I was happy and satisfied. I had him swap my rims because I wanted my winter set on. I have a small vehicle and my other pair would not fit Alex stored my rims for me and made sure they were safe! I have never had such amazing customer service at any service stores. I will be returning for any other work and referring friends and family. Last thing I will say Alex is not like other Managers. He leads by example and helps side by side with customer service reps and mechanics. Thank you so much for your service!

Very friendly, but either inept or completely ripping me off. Paid for thee oil changes and some free inspections with a Groupon. They needed a physical card to honor the deal, and don't honor it if you get a new car. I went there three times to get the the oil changes I paid for, and I paid full price for two of them. They offered to honor the inspections even though I got a new car. Then they broke my radiator cap while inspecting it and charged me 35 bucks for the cap I needed to drive away ($25 mark up for something that worked when I brought it in). The mechanic who did the inspections told me I had a bad wheel hub so I checked it out. It would be obvious to anyone who knew what they were doing it was a bad tie rod. Maybe I should have explained that I grew up fixing my own cars back in the Midwest. Maybe I should have been a jerk and thrown a fit. Maybe I shouldn't have too. I'll give them this though, they were very friendly.

I have been coming here at the Sterling location for 4 years now and before that I went to the one in Leesburg. Alex the manager is a fantastic individual and always makes things right. The service manager (Bo I think his name is) is also very customer service oriented. The master mechanic Victor always makes sure the work is done right. I've only had one issue here but when I brought it to their attention it was immediately fixed without question. I have referred several folks here and they've all loved it. Their fair on pricing and don't try and push things on you that you don't need. I HIGHLY recommend this place I really can not say enough good things about this shop.

I had just got my periodic car service at Ford. I knew that I had a slow leak on one of the wheels and wanted them to look at it. They had advised that the leak was due to a bent rim and that it would be $660 for a new one. Of course that was not an ideal charge for one wheel, so I started looking at the various on-line options to purchase a set of 4 wheels. I also on a whim chose to Google search options for rim repair and came across Hogan & Sons. I've seen it on plenty of occasions as I live right around the corner from it but never stopped by. I called and the manager, Alex, listened to my concern and told me to bring it in as soon as I could and he would take a look. I took it the next day and he looked at it and advised he would see what he could. Needless to say I didn't have to pay $600 and the service was timely and my rim was repaired. I highly advise if you have any car issues to stop and let them check out your vehicle. You won't regret it.

I'd give them less than 1 star but it isnt possible... I will never go back to this store again. After years of going and getting ripped off without my knowledge I found out the hard way that they are the definition of a crooked mechanic shop and especially towards woven!!! After going to them I still had to get another shop to fix what they didn't do despite having been told certain tasks would be done. I got a second and third opinion and they both told me what was overcharged and how I'd been ripped off. I was shown by my final mechanic what corners were cut and what they automatically would have done for me...which were tasks I'd originally asked to be done by this shop yet were somehow overlooked and replaced by unnecessary more expensive tasks. I will not return here again because I do not like people/establishments that take advantage of others and lie straight to their customer's faces without batting an eye and a smile on their face. Not only that I've met random strangers and neighbors that live in the local area that know this shop has a well known bad reputation and won't go there either. To think I would have saved so much time, money, and energy had I known sooner... now I know better at least... even if it took draining my savings to learn it. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic shop and I will never trust them again!!!!

Randomly called auto shop for a last minute repair on my retractable trailer. Alex was pleasant enough to offer to help if my brought my trailer over. This was on a weekend wherein most shops are either closed or ask for appointments. I showed up at Hogan & Sons and was attended to immediately. Alex was able to apply the “fix” needed without much fuss and I was out of there in no time. The best part was they didn’t charge me for the service rendered. Thank you Alex. Needless to state, i’ll spread the goodwill & will bring my business over.

I went for fixing a flat tire and the supervisor gave a quote of $38 for fixing the leak and wheel balancing. I told him that I don’t need wheel balancing but he stressed that it’s the package and he can’t reduce. While the other places charge $20 for fixing flat tire. And point to be noted is that not all flat tire requires a wheel balancing. Then they inspected the car and said the nail damaged the tire and need to replace the tire. And he recommended to change both the rear tires. With all tax he gave me a quote of $330. I said I don’t have the money and can’t afford it. I checked the price of the tire online in Goodyear site choosing the same store. It was just showing as $93 and he quoted it for $113. After sometime he said that he will give a discount of $10 on each tire. After sometime he asked to change at least one tire. I avoided to change the tires in this place as the manager / supervisor / store is not honest with me. Then I took the car to a near by mechanic , he hardly spent 5 mins to pull out the nail from the tire and seal it. Then he said my car is good to go with a smile. I respect that old man. Try to be honest.

I have been a Hogan & Sons Sterling/Falls Church customer for the last 3/4 years. Despite some of the negative reviews posted here, I usually go there and get excellent service all the time- I normally don't consider businesses with ratings less than 4. My recent experience at the Sterling facility will make me a loyal customer forever. John and the manager saved me the money and time from searching for another auto repair shop. The one thing I can really say impressed me about this place is that once they figured out that I wasn't going to take their assessment and roll with it, they quickly backtracked half of the line items which dropped the price to less than half of the initial amount. The items that they were asked to remove consisted of items that, absolutely, did not need to be replaced. (Totaling around $700 in parts/labor) Watch these guys very carefully before you hand them your payment. I had to return less than 30 minutes later to have their work adjusted as it did not pass VA inspection. Not cool. This is the very type of thing that gives mechanics a bad name.

I have never had an issue with H&S and am kinda shocked with some of the bad reviews on here. The first time I brought it in, I needed to do some basic maintenance and and a state inspection. Unfortunately it failed (but hey, it is an older car - a '96) but they identified the issues and did the repairs. It failed again but it was because H&S missed something on the first pass through...but wait here's where it gets good - they admitted it was their fault, fixed the item for free AND paid for my next state inspection! Talk about customer service. :) They are always honest with me on repairs that I need and if I don't want to do something they are not pushy at all. I have to say I have had some of the best customer service for Hogan & Sons which is a VERY big deal for me. I would recommend my friends to go here and I will always be a repeat customer.

At first I needed service for a tire plug, which Joe was happy to do just minutes before closing time. Encouraged by his kindness, I decided to purchase new tires, and Alan helped me with that. Now I am so accostomed to being put down or humiliated by service personnel for not even knowing the basics of my vehicle, especially the tires. Alan was the opposite: compassionate and informative, he made the tire purchasing painless and was gentle with my lack of automobile knowledge. But what really bugged me was when the service technician tried to convince me that I should get an alignment and a power steering flush that I clearly didn't need. Hogan & Sons is the place you want to go when you need new tires. It was my first time getting tires and I was afraid of the BS they’d try to feed me (after receiving false info from other shops), but all I received was honesty. I was shocked! Not only that, the tires I wanted weren’t fully in stock so they upgraded my tires for no extra cost! It was a very pleasant experience and Jason Piper was able to answer all of my questions. I recently took my truck in to have a catalytic converter installed because the previous owner removed it (poorly). They checked it out and said they could not do it due to the type of parts needed and recommended me to another shop. They were careful to recommend a specific shop due to the type of work that would be needed and not just "a shop" which was very helpful. In addition, they correctly pointed out a leak in my brake system which I had previously been unable to find. They were polite, professional, and helpful, and even gave me the phone number for the other shop. They did not charge me at all. I would have given them 5 stars had they been able to fix my truck.

I am giving 1 star because i dont have option to give 0. These guys cheated me. I went this store to check why my car staring and break pad shakes when I apply break on higher speed. Obviously it was the break issue, After first analysis he gave me estimate for ~1400 which has service needed for transmission fluid, resurface rotors and other service not related to braeks. So I asked him to first help me fix current issue (and thinking that if he does fine on the job I might think to do all he recommends). So he suggested only to do front rotors resurface. He charged me $200 for that. And the problem was not solved. he called me and suggested to do rear side of break rotor resurface (my rear end breaks were brand new!!). I did not argue with him knowing that this guy just wants money. I took my car to check with other 2 mechanics ie Toyota dealer and other good individual mechanic who confirmed that the front break pad and rotors should be replaced. Doing the rotors resurface was total waste of money. I went here for goodyear brand but they totally failed it. Lost $200 for nothing. Please don't waste your money here. Go to some good dealer or even other goodyear place but not here.

My experience at the Sterling shop was great! Im from out of state and needed to get my car inspected (along with emissions). My car didn't initially pass due to a small leak in the emissions but Bipa saw to it that the fix was made quickly and inexpensively! Had to drive a little bit before the next emissions test but when I was ready I brought it back to the shop and Bipa got me in and out of there in under half an hour. Great shop, will be coming back.

Completely dissatisfied. I came here to redeem a coupon that promised an oil change tire rotation and alignment check. I saw that the website promoted a free shuttle service so I called ahead to use the service but was told I couldn't because the services would only take 30 minutes or less. Understandable. So I set up an appointment time at 4 p.m. I was only greeted by an employee explaining something from behind the counter to a woman seated in the waiting area. I was not acknowledged for 2 min. The employee took 15 minutes to enter my personal and car information into the system. He did not know how to enter the coupon. I was told the service would take an hour and a half to two hours. Well why couldn't I get shuttle service? Conflicting information. My whole day plans have been uprooted. I waited and got a call an hour later offering 580 dollars worth of services I "should have immediately" I declined. I received another call soon after claiming a lug nut was too tight and they refused to rotate my tires on that side. If you are a shop you should have the tools to conquer that situation! I went to pay the bill and of course asked for a discounted price since the services I signed for have not been completed entirely. At first I was denied my request. Then he agreed to just charge for an oil change. This employee called upon Pat to help him get the ticket correct. Pat emerges from the bathroom. It takes him 22 minutes to get the ticket right because he is nodding off due to "sinus cold medicine". I have a video to prove this. I didn't want to pay but I did. Pat wrote on the coupon no expiration date and gave me another coupon that was expired and addressed to another person. I will never go back there and honestly I want my money back.

The most dishonest car place I have ever visited, I went in to get an oil change and my car was fine going in with no oil leaks. Just like the other reviews they wanted to do more work. They tried talking me into an oil pan gasket replacement. I told them it wasn't leaking so it's fine. When I got home and pulled it in the garage the oil pan was leaking. They actually loosened the screws so that it would leak. I tightened them back up and whoola it was fine. These guys are crooks of the worst degree. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!!!!

I was very satisfied with both the process of setting up and appointment and the work done here. I will use them again in the future. I needed new tires, so I called around and settled with Hogan & Sons in Sterling because they were able to price match, and I didn't feel pressured while on the phone with them. I also asked them to look at the brakes, and instead of saying "they need to be done right away", Alex (the GM) told me they would need to be replaced soon. He also took time to explain to me that the rotors, while low on life, didn't need to be replaced but suggested they would need to be the next time. I just felt that all the associates with whom I spoke were knowledgeable and didn't care to just make a sale. Instead, they presented me with options, explained the pros and cons, and allowed me to make a decision. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic and having since moved to the area, I had not yet found one with whom I was satisfied. That's now changed.

I own/drive a stage II turbo VW GTI. In the last two weeks i have gone to Hogan and Son's twice for work and talked to Mike extensively before getting each job completed. For installation of my performance pads and rotors, not only did they give me the best price in the area, he went into detail what would be done. Cleaning, sanding off rust etc...to make sure the install went right and would last. The second time i was there was to replace all four of my tires. I have low profile 225/40r18 w/ tpms. I looked at tirerack to get them shipped and mounted/balanced somewhere else. After calling around, Mike got my business, it turned out ot be cheaper to go through him ordering the tires and mounting them, then paying online, shipping them, and getting someone else to mount and balance. ALSO IT WAS QUICKER...he didnt have the tires on hand, but he got them onsite within 24hrs. This coming after ordering me a set of tires and me changing my mind to go w/ another set. That day we talked on the phone for about an hour, during the time he was more than helpful and courteous. Both installations went smoothly, for the brakes i dropped the car off, within 3 hours it was complete and they called me immediately it was completed. The tires i waited for and it took them an hour. I also own a BMW ///M Roadster i will be taking her there too for work. . Hopefully ya'll find this useful.

The only place I let touch my vehicle (Subaru WRX). I had accidentally blown a relay fuse in my car's computer system, leaving the car nonfunctional. A local mechanic informed me that I needed an entirely new computer system, however the guys at Goodyear (Hogan and Sons), traced the problem to the computer and realized it was only a fuse. What could have been a thousand + repair only cost me a little over $100 in labor. They've also been my source for regular oil changes, tires, batteries, brakes, and other maintenance. I have since moved to Baltimore but still bring my car to them whenever i'm back in the area for routine maintenance. The management staff are very helpful and they have some very good mechanics on hand. I highly recommend them.

I went for my inspection, after 30 mintues guy came back and told me inspection failed because your tire is leaking. I told him, if the tire is leaking it should give me warning light of tire pressure. He goes no it is just started leaking, and one of sensor is not working. I asked him how much it's gonna cost me. He told me around $400. After that I went to another mechanic shop just to check if Hogan and sons are telling me the truth. Guess what.. inspection passed, nothing went wont after that. Even tire pressure didn't go low for a while So they are crook. Be careful.

Medicore service at incredibly high prices. Tried selling me 2 fog lights for my 2008 honda fit and with all the charges and labor it was over $500. I went on ebay, found a set of 2 for $45 with free shipping and installed it myself in 10 minutes. Later when I was getting two new rear tires, I schedule an appointment early in the morning and was told they should be an hour or less. I had to wait nearly 4 hours for them to complete the job and on top of that, they didnt cycle out the front wheel tires to the back and put the new on the front when its a front wheel drive car. Never going back here again, even in an emergency.

Service is generally friendly and fast, and quality seems good. They also give me a ride home when I need it. They keep service records in the computer, which can be handy. Good magazines in the waiting area - this wouldn't be a deal-breaker, of course, but it is a nice touch. The only negatives: Once my husband bought a brake light at Advance Auto Parts thinking he'd install it himself but then decided to just ask H&S to do it along with some other work, and someone gave him attitude for bringing in his own part. Another time an argument in the garage got so loud that it was uncomfortable to be in the office. We've been many, many times over the years, though, and the vast majority of times everything has been great.

A friend recommended Hogan and Sons to me when I was freaking out about one my passenger side door not opening and concerned that my driver's door would be next, no one wants to be stuck in the car. They were able to get me in quick and return my car back to me same day after being pretty efficient and accurate with their time estimation. I called a couple people and was told that they would likely have to order the part and I would have to wait, luckily Hogan and Sons has a warehouse that has probably every part they need and are able to get it same day. Before leaving after they fixed my doors I asked about my brakes. They were able to give me an estimate and a good time frame for when my brakes would be completely unsafe to drive on. I wasn't prepared for having to pay for both my doors and brakes in one sitting. So I came back, called ahead to see if they could get me in, and brought my car by one afternoon. They were true to their original estimate and helped me out because I am a student. I appreciated all their patience in the process of explaining things to me. They were also true to their estimated time and I was in and out with new brakes before Friday rush hour. I also got new tires. I know it sounds like my car is really struggling but the doors were a manufacturing problem that should be recalled and the brakes were old. The tires had been stretched for a few months since I first was told they needed to be switched out but I didn't want to listen then. So based on their customer service and the fact that I was already getting my brakes fixed I got new tires. I thought the pricing was reasonable for parts and labor for everything I got done. I feel safer in my car. The front desk people know cars and are able to give customers a reasonable idea of what needs to get fixed now and what is safe to wait on to fix, from my experience and listening in to other customers while I waited. They were friendly and made me feel less stressed about my car problems. They have a credit card option to pay in installments if you aren't able to pay at that time and they are located next to Safeway and a plaza so you don't have to just wait in the sitting area. During my stay here on the east coast I believe that Hogan and Sons will be the place I take my car to. Hopefully nothing happens but if something does they come with a year warranty on their services.

I went there few times using coupons and now I realized it was totally not worthy it. The technician did not notify me that my brakes were wearing off and I had to have brake pads and rotors replaced soon after I had my car serviced there. Twice in a row, the windshield fluid was not filled, which means after I completely ran out of the fluid the first time, I went for a service and they left it unfilled again. That summarizes the quality of the service there. I'd rather pay the full price for a good quality service because the car repair costs way more. Do not go there.

I had the bad luck of blowing out a sidewall. I had the good luck of doing it next door to the Hogan's in Falls Church. I could have had my car towed anywhere for free through my auto service, but I decided to check Hogan's first since they were at hand. That turned out to be a really good idea. Wally and Ben bent over backwards to get me back on the road ASAP at a really fair price. Even though my car was technically not on their lot, they jumped through many hoops to avoid waiting for a tow truck to move the car 100 feet. Plus, Wally kept getting the price lower by finding discounts I could qualify for. I went in to get my emissions done, and was told "Hey we can get the guys next door to do the emissions test BUT first let us "check" your vehicle for anything that would make you fail an emissions test" (This made me laugh... if you don't already know if you fail the emissions test, you have 14 days to get it fixed and come back to the same place to have it redone for free).... So I said ok, and wouldn't you believe it, they came back to me and said I needed new brakes! Knowing the mechanic was being dishonest, I said forget it I'm never coming back to this place, and went to another emissions place and passed no problems the same day. Sad.

I have lived in the area for the majority of my life, and I have used a few different auto repair places for my maintenance and other car troubles. Hogan & Sons in Sterling has consistently had the best customer service, the best communication skills, and they have consistently saved me money every time I go in. As a female who knows very little about cars, I feel vulnerable to being taken advantage of when it comes to recommended services, but I have NEVER felt this way at Hogan & Sons. They clearly explain to me the issue with the car, and they go out of their way to help me save money/ come up with a maintenance plan that works with our budget/ timeline/ safety priorities. My husband's car recently broke down, and we had the car towed past 5 different shops because I only trust Hogan & Sons. I highly recommend this location to any one looking for a straight-shooter in the auto repair industry - when it comes to INTEGRITY - Hogan & Sons blow the competition out of the water.

We came here for the affordable oil changes in the winter for about a year. Everything you read about sketchy work and scare tactics for upselling repair work is true!! In 1 visit (our last) they stripped the oil filter threads on one of our cars, they also broke my hood release latch and then threw the plastic handle under the seat. When confronted with the issues, they smiled and said they returned the cars in perfect condition - we must be mistaken. They've tried to sell us on everything from new breaks (5 months old!) to axles to exhaust repairs - always totaling well over $500. No oil change will come without hearing about how your car is a barely working deathtrap. After the damages to our cars we stopped patronizing them. It's such a shady business - despite the clean cut, friendly faces you'll see behind the counter. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone.

My experience here was absolutely horrible. I mean I know some mechanical do streach the truth to make a little more money. But to lie completely and tell me that I need to drive all the way to Herndon (16miles) to the nearest inspection place, when they give car inspections themselve right here. That was unbelievable. Never would I recommend then for anything to anyone.

I have been coming to Hogan & Sons for many years. First, their Leesburg store. When I moved to Alexandria a couple of years ago, I changed to their Falls Church store. I have never received anything but good service, a good value, good advice, above & beyond ... I get a shuttle ride to / from work in Tysons. I have nothing but good things to say. And they always have a coupon on their Facebook page!
