I wish I would have asked the name of the worker who came out and checked my tire pressure. He was courteous and very helpful. He figured out why my tire pressure indicator was on very quickly and adjusted the pressure to turn it off. He called me "boss." I hope that helps because he deserves a raise.

Must give credit when its due. Came to Harris with an emergency flat situation after being treated poorly by two different Mr. Tire stores. They looked at the tire and told me it was dangerous to fill it with air again. Repairs were made and I was sent on my way. Left Harris for Lynchburg Tire years ago. Lynchburg Tire is no longer Lynchburg Tire and the service shows it. The customer service at Harris Tire will certainly have me coming back.

Today started out rough, but Harris Tires made it a lot better! I had got them to balance and put on a tire for me on Monday, well on Thursday the wheel came off and broke a few of the studs. Because they are Harris tires he fixed the problem with no additional cost to me! They all went above and beyond, and I would recommend anybody and everybody to go here for their service! I would like to say thank you, because words can't truly express how grateful I am. You all expressed pure, genuine customer service!

I had heard some "ok" reviews about this place and knew that they could do a decent job in regards to changing my tires. When I spoke to someone over the phone, I specifically asked them how busy they would be the following day. He calmly said that they were pretty slow and that I could come in. Over the phone I asked him how long it would take for the work to be done completely. He assured me that it would take no more than 1 hour. The next day when I first entered their parking lot, I noticed a bunch of cars everywhere and couldn't even find a space to park my car. Alas, I walked in the store reluctantly. When I approached the lady at the desk, she said it would take 2 HOURS to change my tires. I let her know that a man had said it would be 1 hour TOPS and she starred at me and said I was looking at 2 hours. I waited patiently and the man I had spoken to the previous day said "No worries, you should be good to go by 9." 9am came around and 10 am quickly approached. I walked in at 8 and left at 10:10. I'm hesitant to return because the people are dishonest. If you don't mind being lied to, I would suggest this place, but if you want honesty, I would suggest a different place.

I've been using Harris Tire on 221 for years now primarily for state inspections and tire work because my husband is a mechanic. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and will take good care of your car. It's true that they don't make appointments for inspections but if you don't wait until the last minute you won't have any problem. I am always nice to them and they are nice to me in return. They go above and beyond to help!

I had great service when I purchased my tires, but when I take the car back to get tires rotated I am always told it’s a 2 or 3 hour wait, I would be fine with that if they would allow you to make an appointment, I bought the tires thinking I could get them rotated but I was wrong now I got to go else where to get them rotated at a cost, next time I will be buying tires elsewhere

The guys in the front of the shop are pretty friendly but they seem to have a disconnect with the mechanics. I asked them to check my rims as I ran over a big pothole and now felt a vibration. I said if the rims are fine put on new tire and inspect the car. I was happy to hear my rims were not bent and the car passed inspection. The first time I hit the highway I felt the same wobble. I called the guys at Harris and asked them to rebalance and they agreed to do it for free. Later that day I received a phone call and the guy at Harris says “well I found your problem, you have two bent rims” I replied “ can you fix it?” Harris says” it’s hard to fix rims that are oval!” How can you miss something like that when your customer asks you directly to check first? If I would have know that from the beginning I could have picked a tire/rim combination I was happy with rather than being forced to buy a rim that fit the tire installed on a defective rim. Just really disappointed. They shop did get new rims and had me back in my car the same day. That’s worth a star but still a bad experience. Update: I was still having vibration issues with my car. Over 1k spent and four visits later the original problem was still not fixed. The shop ordered a spacer after I described the issue and that finally fixed it. I want to be angry because they wasted a lot of my time but they were always friendly and they got it fixed in the end

ASK FOR FRANKIE! These people have been such a blessing to everyone in my family. We refuse to go elsewhere, they're always honest and willing to work with you. For the past 10 years, I've had nothing bad to say about them! -- Update -- After a decade of my whole family coming to this shop, we have decided to end our service. I brought my car to them when I had a low tire pressure light. They told me I needed a new sensor. I paid and had it installed, days later, light came back on, they told me another tire needed a new sensor. Same day, the light came back on and I decided to drive to the dealer... I had a nail in my tire, the whole time and they installed a bad sensor. Hundreds of unnecessary dollars later.. Sad to say, none family will be going back.

This place is a joke. My daughter made a 9:00 appointment and was told that wouldn't get to her car until 2:30. They told her one price, then tried to charge more. I know of 3 people that were overcharged by them for goods and services that weren't needed. I'm a local businessman and prefer to do business with local companies, but they're not good for lynchburg. Save your money, and use another company to repair or service your cars.

I was Very disappointed in the service today. I went there because I usually am treated with respect and have good service in the past. I went in for an alignment on my jeep. I was told first come, first serve. I was there at 7:40a.m. I was told they only had one mechanic for that today. Before they took my jeep back, 20 minutes later a lady came in and said she needed an alignment, was in a hurry & hoped they could "fit her in". She was in and out in no time while I sat there waiting. I waited another 40 minutes for mine. I also asked them to adjust my headlights. They did not even look at them. My steering wheel is still off center and doesn't seem to be driving any better. Did they even do the alignment? It is questionable! I will NOT be going back there!

Good tires and best alignment ever I have drove over 10,000 miles and still have the same alignment these guys are the best in town would never go anywhere else they have a waiting area and a TV for you to watch while you wait on your vehicle to be serviced.Came back agin this year to get inspection the in technition identified the issue's properly to allow me to make the needed repairs and got another outstanding alignment they also rotated my tires thanks agin for great service!

Called ordered tires last week was told they didn't do appointments but to show up at 10 am Wednesday that they had my tires there at 5th st. dropped off my girlfriend for an dr appointment 1.5 miles away that should take 1.5 hours. I was early like I am for most things I was worried when I overheard them telling customers that they were busy and to come back tomorrow. Then they told me it would be an hour for tires and inspection. They pushed a free alignment check so I agreed. They pulled the car in within 15 mins and i was at ease sat in the waiting room patiently when my girlfriend called almost 2 hours later they still had both back wheels off the car when I asked they said 20 mins. At that point I said don't worry about an alignment I need to go. So I told her not to worry I'd be there soon. Talked to one of the guys he said they only had 2 of my tires and that the other 2 where coming from forest location well that truck came and left without my tires. 30 mins later my girlfriend walked into the store. inspection yet to be done car just sitting there at this point I am getting kinda antsy. Finally the tires get there, then they do the inspection, that took 45 mins. I go to pay the clerk Jerry acted like I didn't matter and made no appllogy. Then charged me for an alignment that wasn't done. We asked if they did an alignment Jerry's response was "I don't know" he said nothing and walked into the back. Another man comes out who was actually helpful and I didn't get his name unfortunately and said they didn't do an alignment and offered to refund me. At this point I have been there 3 hours and charged for work that wasn't complete when we complained he said they were busy I told him all the trouble we had and he admitted it was their fault but offers no retribution. I said how about a discount he said how much. I said make me an offer, so he knocked 10$ off each tire. It seemed like I had to beg to make them make it right. I have done business with them for years but I don't think I will be going back. Everyone has tough days I get it, maybe you guys should start making appointments. You should definitely get your act together on what you are charging for and when you have clearly dropped the ball at least apologize and make it right without making your customers feel like just another $ in your pockets.

My family is always treated well. I had a bad experience with Goodyear and just happened to go next door to Harris and talked to Frankie Mays about the tires and he told me I really needed to get the tire replaced Goodyear was supposed to have ordered and didn't and put me in a real bind, Frankie went out of his way to get me that tire and got it replaced so I got another one and replaced another one also at his suggestion.It was starting to wear like the bad one also.Thanks to him and his quick service and help I am good to go until I need the other two.Thanks Frankie for your help and courteous service.I f you need good service don't go to Goodyear but go to Harris Tire in Lynchburg

THIS PLACE PREYS ON SINGLE WOMEN. I bought a new set of tires expecting them to last 75k. I was told after 31k miles that I needed a new set because of excessive wear. I brought my car in and at each oil change had my tires rotated/balanced 3k/6k. It seems they never aligned them when I bought them. I would never turn down a basic service like that since an alignment cost what I make per hour. This is a tire place- why wouldn't they suggest an alignment? I was told they would give me a 'nice deal' of $12 off per new tire and they didn't tell me about my warranty so HARRIS could cash in on that. I ended up with a $60 credit per tire. Had I thrown on the tires and didn't have routine care every 3k miles I could kind of understand. These people lied to me about other service I had there too. I was told I need a radiator (now I wonder) and since my AC was going I should replace both at the same time because if I did not one system would contaminate another. That is a lie. Pretend Christians.

Went for my annual inspection and a tire rotation . This is the only place we bring our vehicles for service because my husband is a great mechanic. The guys are always friendly and get you in and out quickly. I have always had a painless experience when buying tires or doing repairs which is something since no one wants to drop hundreds on car repairs. We bought a set of tires w a warranty & needed a new set way within 18 months and Harris Tire gave us credit on a new set. I appreciate their free tire rotation and repair service. They get busy so the best time to get your car in is when they open at 7:30am.

Used to be a loyal customer. As far as customer experience they are top notch. The guys in sales are awesome, nice, sincere, and humorous! However, our last and final experience was the "I'm out of here" for us. We put our BMW in the shop for new tires and spark plugs - a near $1100 bill. Tires are wonderful and service was all in all good mechanical wise (meaning, our car wasn't skipping anymore from a failed spark plug). However, we bought and brought all of our parts directly from Germany for the engine work. Harris failed to let me know which sparks the coolant packs went on or if they even used them or kept them - no details on the bill. Bill shows a front end alignment but they didn't provide me with the before and after chart showing it was actually aligned (not sure if this is lack of software but I know Firestone and other places do provide this). Additionally, we picked up our car to a total of 4 chips out of the paint on the fenders and two scratches. When I called about this I was assured they DO have fender pads that they should have used and that what happened shouldn't have happened.. but that's it. It did happen and they offered to do nothing about it. Also noted, last oil change they had dumped so much oil on our engine we thought there was a leak. I drive a significant amount of miles and typically change my oil every other month (if that long). I drive an hour to Harris and see them often for maintenance but the lack of respect for my vehicle and business is unacceptable. The hunt for good car care is back on.

I arrived at 7:45 in the morning (15 minutes after open) to have a state inspection. I was told there were nearly 20 people in line before me, so there's gonna be a wait, no problem. Nearly THREE HOURS LATER they finally pulled my car into the garage at 10:35. I was already nervous about what they'd come back and say bc I overheard them threaten to fail another customer for a dirty headlight, so when I saw them take my wheel off, I knew I was in for it. They came back and said my brake pad was too worn to pass and refused to show me a measurement. When they finally did, there was literally only ONE spot on the pad that was close to being under the requirement. Because I'm in a pinch and away from home at college, I didn't have a choice but to let them install the WAY overpriced brake pad that would've taken my dad less than 20 minutes and $40 to install. Long story short, I WILL NOT be coming back and DO NOT recommend this place. A state inspection should be a quick 15 minute experience but has now turned into a 4 hour ordeal. They're just in it to make money.

If it was possible I would give them a negative star. Used the Lynchburg shop years ago and stopped because the crooks tried to sell me unnecessary repairs. Well I decided to try the Forest store again as they are convenient to my office, HUGE mistake. Same company same attitude, they tried to sell me several unnecessary repairs, including alignment which they tried to sell to every person in the waiting room while I was there, on my 1 yr old car and continued when I refused the repair. Front staff was discourteous when I entered and very cold when I refused to bite on the repair. Beware of any advice given and don't do anything there you didn't plan to do when walking in the door.

As I drove from South FL to Lynchburg (visiting family), I developed a tire issue. It turns out both of my front tires were in bad shape. Frank (mgr) really stepped up and helped me get a nice set of tires at a great price....quickly! I really needed to get back to FL, so the "quickly" part meant a lot!

Sad to see so many negative reviews. I guess people are more likely to write a poor review than a good one...but since Im here. I have been to Harris multiple times for inspections/oil changes and more. They have always had good customer service and I have no reason to see them as being dishonest. I should be getting another oil change there today, hopefully my opinion doesn't change! :)
