ECC was recommended to us by an acquaintance in our building. We took the truck for an initial inspection where Jenn and Sean took great care of us. At the initial inspection they changed the oil and the wiper blades. They told us the rest would be done at the next appointment. It took about a day to get the following done: Motor mounts Rear shocks Reset tire pressure sensors Tire rotation They did an incredible job and have excellent customer service from the mechanics to the administrative staff. We really appreciate the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. It’s been one week and our truck is running smoother and more efficiently. I made a reservation for 7am to get 4 new tires and told them I had to leave by 9am for a meeting. Mechanics didn't even show up for work until after 7:30 and, while I was the first customer, I had to beg to get my car back at 9:15 (OVER TWO HOURS WAITING). I was told that they didn't have time to do the "free alignment". So...I was first in the door, waited for over 2 hours, and only go my tires mounted and balanced. I WILL NOT BE BACK

I purchased four brand new tires from Elden St. Service Tire & Auto. They offered a great package of free install, alignment, life time rotations, road hazard warranty and REPAIRS. My tires are not even a year old and ALL FOUR tires are leaking. The front passenger one is the worst and I had originally brought that in several months ago before I knew they were all leaking. They sealed the tire for free and sent me on my way. I was happy. Fast forward a few more months and here I am with four leaking tires (including the one that was repaired) and they want to charge me $160 to clean my wheels and remount the tires. Their claim is it is the wheels causing the leaks not the tires. It shouldn’t matter. My tires are leaking. All of them. I am constantly having to refill my tires with air on a weekly basis. Extremely disappointed with the service. I will be going to Costco to replace these tires.

Not fond of the Customer Service. Went by to get an oil change, was told it's 45 minutes before close it's to late. Called to set an appointment for the time frame suggested and was still told I can say we'll have someone available over an hour near closing. Really, what's going on for the last 1.5 hours? I no longer care, and am confused by your rating.

I've used them several times in the past two years for oil changes, complete tire replacement, and replacing worn out brakes. Leander is always very professional and stands by his word. I took my bmw for replacing tires and breaks. The service was awesome. Edward who is the manager was very nice, courteous. I paid much less than what I had paid at other tire shops. I found them professional and honest. The facility is very nice, clean, free WiFi, coffee and water. They also offered me free shuttle and reimbursed me for Uber too. First time that my car has failed a safety inspection, but I was expecting it. I needed tires and they were able to make it happen in a reasonably amount of time. I didn't shop for tires, but I assume the prices were comparable (my SUV has big expensive tires). The service was great - no complaints. This isn't my usual place for service, but I can see me using them again because they are conveniently located near the house and service/price seems reasonable.

Wow, what a great customer service. I would definitely recommend anyone going here without a second thought. I took my car here to fix a flat tire. Technician worked on it for an hour to confirm that there is no fault with the tire. So I wasn't charged since they didn't find any fault. I really appreciate their honesty and professionalism.

Leander quickly provided me with a shuttle to get to work on time. They did a wonderful job with the State inspection. The fees are comparable to most other shops, but IF you can find another facility to do the job for cheaper, sometimes it's important to remember that you get what you pay for, and at Elden st. Service center, they stand by their work, which is reliably high quality. I highly recommend this shop.

They refused to do an oil change because I asked for a synthetic blend (which is what I've been putting in my car for years) and was told they would only do synthetic. They 100% just wanted to charge me more for the synthetic oil change over the synthetic blend. Ridiculous.

I had my truck towed into the Elden Street Service & Tire Center today for a gear shifting issue. Sung who answered my call this morning recommended I call my insurance to see if I had towing coverage and if I did not he gave me the name of a towing company they recommend. After the truck arrived they called me to let me know it was there and that they were diagnosing the issue. I was called back quickly with the good news that the truck only had a minor issue. This is the third time in 3 months that I have taken one of our cars to them. I've always received excellent customer service and communication. After having a very negative experience with another auto service shop I truly appreciate their honestly and customer service. Joanna C.

Beware, this place will charge for a repair ., so later, will try to charge again to repair it correctly Had a flat tire, I was charged 32 dollars to fix it.,days later the tire was still leaking. Went back and was told., this tire is unreperible .., you have to get a new tire,, 320 dollars.. I have tire road insurance, spoke to Bridgestone and was told the tire can still be use,, just put a tube.. No need to purchase a new tire.. was send a tire,, same as mine.. 80 percent new., went back to this shop., and was told,, they don't install used tires. But never apologized, offer a refund. I was greeted by Sung who provided a very detailed explanation of what was included in the two different types of checks they would do. Aaron, my technician, did the evaluation/service and was great. I have been using this facility since 1998 and have had nothing but excellent experience over the years. About three years back we moved out of the Herndon area but we continue to bring back our cars to this shop even though it is quite a scheduling overhead for us. Never have they tried to recommend work on the cars that is not absolutely essential and always clearly states what is good to have vs what is necessary. I trust them fully.

I took my car there two years ago for an inspection that failed due to a leak in the power steering hose and a ball joint. Paid to have both replaced ($1,200) or something outrageous and get the oil changed. I figured that they were at least thorough and I wouldn't have to worry about much for a few years. Bring it back this year having only put 3900 miles on it and they failed it for so many things that they should have caught the year before. They stated that the seat belt is in disrepair with no further description of what that means and nobody else has had a problem with it. Same with vague steering - found out from another place it was the tie rod ends. Also said the hood doesn't latch, which is just false. It latches fine if you set the hood down and then press like you are supposed to, not if you just drop it. I don't take issue with the Intermittent problems they cited: my vents not switching to defrost right away unless I manually do it, headlight wiring that was improperly repaired making the light cut out if the wires are moved, and the condition of the tie rod ends could have changed in 3900 miles - although a warning the year before would have been nice. But the hood and seat belt have been in the same condition for at least 5 years. It also took over an hour and the rejection sticker was just sitting on the dashboard. On the plus side, they do offer rides and the power steering leak was actually fixed. They also didn't break any interior parts, dent my fenders or scratch the paint either time and I do really appreciate that.

I wouldn't trust this place and I have a feeling they feed off people that know no better. I stop in to get a price to have my brakes done, asked for a quote for all four with new pads and new rotors. Boy was I shocked at the price and the price they gave me was with a ten percent discount. Out of the four quotes I received three of them were similar in pricing and Elden Street Service and Tire Center were the highest, by a lot! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. __________________ Actually, if you look at some of your reviews, there are others that say the same thing. and I don't need your help comparing the estimates. I know what I am looking at, and it isn't like I never worked in a shop before, I have changed many brakes. Your labor cost was a lot more than other places too. And your shop expense was double of others. Also when I question the price and said I got quoted a better price, your manager said, "we are the best". That is well short from him explaining anything. Not only that but I sent an email letting you all know that you were higher than the rest of the quotes I received. And that was with a 10% discount. Anyways, people, this should help you further understand this place can't be trusted. Because I do know a little about a car. I already knew what pricing I should be in. The others were in the ballpark, this place was out of the ballpark. And getting a response as "we are the best" isn't enough to pay more for the same thing. __________________________ Because this wouldn't be the first brake job I completed. I went ahead and purchased the parts and done them myself. This without a lift, but having to jack up each side, and without any air tools. Took me less than two hours to complete. Two hours at $150 an hr would put the labor at $300, they wanted nearly five hundred.

A work colleague recommended ESS when I first moved to the area 13 years ago. I've had two cars since then, and I consistently keep coming back to ESS. This last round of service was a continual reminder of why they won my loyalty. The staff is always pleasant. They don't talk down to you for not knowing much about automotive details. They take the time to explain things. They try to find you the best rates possible via various promotions or coupons. I've never had a single problem with ESS. I don't think anyone enjoys spending money on car repairs, but these folks are great at making you feel like you were taken care of and can drive your vehicle with confidence.

Pete could see that we were in a hurry, so he expedited his service and took great care. I had an issue with my old Rav4 and noticed my accelerator hesitated at a street light and the car’s response felt weak or had a bit of a wobble at highway speeds. I brought the car in (walk-in) for a diagnostic test and requested to have the car ready and fixed by the end of the same day. Although they couldn’t promise that, Sung and Keith were able to make it happen. It turned out the wheel hub and bearings were messed up and needed to be replaced. The costs were more than I expected, but I checked with other shops to see that the pricing was fair and that the issue wasn’t unusual for the DC area (potholes and crappy roads). Plus, when I drove the car after, I noticed the car’s performance was better than I could ever recall! And they dropped me off and picked me up down the street while the car was under repair. These guys will take care of you. Thanks Sung and Keith!

Brought a 21" aftermarket wheel here as it wasn't holding air due to a busted valve stem. showed up as they were turning on the lights at 7am and Leander was still happy to take a look and introduced me to Yuvraj. Took him no more than 5 minutes to replace the valve stem. Great job and they wouldn't accept any money from me. Really appreciate it!!! Good people at Elden tire.

I drove in at 2:00 for a safety inspection. The confusing sign with arrows pointing in two different directions indicated that inspections were available from 7:30 to 4:30. After waiting 10 minutes at the front of the line, I went into the office and was told by one of the four people standing around doing nothing that the inspector was out for lunch and would be back in 20 minutes. No sign anywhere that the place was closed for lunch at 2:30. I wait 20, 25, and 30 minutes. People pull up behind me. 45 minutes later, the inspector finally shows up and goes to the car behind me, takes it out of turn and brings it into the shop for the inspection. No one of the now FIVE staff present bothered to tell me why I was skipped over, despite being there first. I left and will never return. I would give this dumpy place (with fallen tree limbs littering the driveway and a rusted out car in the back of the parking lot) -5 if I could. I will never, ever be back. I will tell everyone I know to never, ever, patronize the Elden Street Service and Tire Center.

I dropped off my car on a Saturday since it was a 2 hour wait for them to check. Got a call and they found a pebble which had caused an issue and the plugged it. Here I was expecting to get pushed for a new tire and expecting to lose $$$ but everyone at this center was super helpful and honest. Would love to do business with them again!

I took my oldest car (2004 Honda Element) in for a maintenance light thinking it was just one of those dubious warnings that I can pass over. I took the car to the service center after putting some thought into it and also not being able to identify the source of the warning indicator. If anything I figured we just needed a oil change, but when the shop performed the inspection they'd found the radiator was leaking, the rear brakes were low, then adding the rear sway bar joints were very well worn and failing. On-top of this, we've had the car in the family for many years (original owner 15 yrs), then my son who is a new driver needing a vehicle. I did not want to go out and buy a new car just for him. I figured, the car was in good structural and running condition, it just needed some love to make it drive-able for him. The shop was very professional and fixed our car. The car is now back in my son's hands ready to take on his last year of high school, and me knowing its safe for him to drive. The team at Eldon Street Service Center, has been working on our cars for years, we appreciate their attentiveness and rely on them to keep our cars running in tiptop shape.

H O N E S T Service I am a car guy. I own a classic 1982 Porsche and a recently acquired 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 sedan. I have had many cars VWs, GMs, and Subaru's. We have used local Fairfax dealers and private service centers for our vehicles. We have also used and learned our lessons with slick over-selling of services by certain local Fairfax dealers and private service centers. Thankfully we finally stopped into Elite Car Care Center's Elden Street Service and Tire Center when our Benz needed new tires, VA State Safety inspection, and a emissions test for VA DMV registration. Last week I was a brand new walk-in customer and Mark Kwon was superb. I dropped the Benz and it was fully serviced and inspected by the afternoon. Thank you for running a clean, well cared for, honest business. We will definitely be back with the other cars for service.

A noise came back a week after the work was done, which they fixed for free as it was caused by something one of their technicians did. I would highly recommend this place. I had been going to a different auto shop for years and every time I left there I would have a new problem. One in particular was this noise coming from the front of my car that sounded like metal rattling and despite spending 1200 at the last place the noise continued. On a whim I decided to get a second opinion and go to Elden Street Service and Tire Center. Despite how busy it was, Sung Kang walked outside with me to my car and tried to locate where the sound was coming from. He conversed with me with what he thought it was and where it was coming from. I’ve never felt so informed and it was relieving. Their technician Yuv Raj was extremely thorough, located the problem, and fixed this issue that has been haunting me for months. And as an added bonus it was exactly what he said it would be, an unlike most auto repair shops, there were no “additional problems”. I will without a doubt be going here from now on. 5 out of 5.

Don’t trust a quote you get from these guys unless it’s in writing. Was quoted X price and when I get there they try and charge me almost 300 dollars more. Still ended up paying over a hundred dollars extra because the guy who quoted us just happened to forget tax in the all inclusive quote.

This is in regards to a oil change/tire rotation and inspection & emissions service. I dropped my car off around 9am and was able to pick it up by approximately 2pm. The tech on the phone was honest about other services that my car might need (air filters, transmission fluid, battery, etc...) but did not pressure me in any way. I have never been serviced here.. So I can’t speak on their services. What I will say is that I had an unexpected flat tire as I was driving past their shop.. I was on the other side of the street and pulled into Exxon, I called them immediately as air was literally blowing out of the tire. The time was 6:58, while I would never expect anyone to work for free or work past their shift, this was an emergency. I asked if they could fix the tire, I was told they didn’t keep tires in stock, and that they were closing, I then asked if they could do a sealant just so I could get home and was told “all the my men are gone and we’re closing in 2 minutes”. I called for a tow and as I waited and waited, two workers left. Trust me I don’t want to stay at work when I don’t have to, but when it’s needed I do. As a business owner I would never turn a customer away in an emergency, it’s not great service. They were nice, but definitely not helpful to me as a potential customer.

This place has the best service, and on several occasions, they have not charged me at all for minor things (nail in tire, consultation to diagnose a problem) or charged me less than they initially estimated. They go out of their way to make women and families feel welcome and consulted rather than out of place and pressured to spend money. They are always very communicarive and are honest about how long I can go without doing some kind of maintenance, unlike almost any other shop that tries to upsell you on anything that can. They even help customers learn about their car to make better decisions. They also have great shuttle service for those who need it.

Do not get your VIrginia inspection done here. Apparently their pass rate was too high last year, so they are randomly failing cars that would otherwise pass to bring their pass rate down. They failed my car on a third tail light issue after passing it with flying colors last year, and I have not changed a thing about the car. My car passed at the very next place I took it to.

Store hours say 7am -7pm. I called beforehand asking if they would change out my tire because I’m driving with my spare. Guy told me to come that they could do it and they close at 7pm. Great. I drove down here and got here at 6pm..... there is no one here. I called again and even called the Ashburn location. Still not luck! Why even tell me to come if you’re going close an hour early?! Definitely recommend avoiding this place and going else. I have never been so blinded before and it’s just unnecessarily unprofessional. A simple we are closing early would have sufficed and now I’m last minute looking for someone to helped me because this company didn’t have common decency.

Found a screw imbedded in my tire tread, Sung helped explain the options, prices, and time it would take. Later Alex came back letting me know the screw, luckily, was very short and did not puncture the tire, but he still filled the tires up with the appropriate amount of air since they were low. I was expecting them to charge me for labor at the very least but Sung let me know I did not owe anything. It is rare in this day and age to not only find an honest business but also one that does not nickel and dime you. They have definitely earned a lifetime customer.

The staff are highly professional and take their time in explaining the diagnosis for the vehicle should you inquire. I feel they are trust worthy which is rare with garages these days and they are efficient in trying to get the work done in a timely manner. The folks at this shop are extremely honest and professional and that is why I've been coming here ever since they opened. I was compelled to write this review because they were able to save me over $300 because I had previously gotten my brake system done here. One of the technicians, Kevin, noticed that the back right caliper was defect and had resulted in a faster than expected deterioration of the condition of my back axle breaks. Despite the 2-year-warranty expiration with the manufacturer, Edward and the team were able to get me not only one, but two new calipers for FREE as if the warranty were still active, and as a result, my back axle calipers and breakpads are now brand new. That is the kind of exceptional service that is provided at this service center.

My answer is that every auto repair place seems to be expensive. I don't think that Elden St. is any better or worse than anywhere else. I am SO HAPPY I took my car here. It has been serviced here a few times, and each time I got exceptional treatment. The latest visit I needed an oil change and 4 new tires. Everyone there was SO FRIENDLY! Since I live close to the garage they were nice enough to drive me to my place and pick me up when the service was complete. The BEST part about the service, besides how nice everyone was, was the price! 4 new tires and an oil change cost me less than $700! I was FLOORED!
