Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears. If you need a state inspection, do not. I repeat DO NOT go to Community Car Care on Little River Turnpike. Their business name is a misnomer because they don't care about your car. The technician, Khalid, broke one of my knobs that controlled the defroster setting and lied about it. The manager, PJ, believed the technician over the customer and quoted me over $150 just to take a look at it. They ended up replacing what they broke, but Antony lied, said he checked it and the defroster system still did not work. I went and turned it right on. Even when caught in lies, these peeps never apologized or accepted responsibility. So if you want to go someplace that will quote you prices to fix something they broke, by all means check out Community Car Care. And don't get me wrong, there are a few things I did like: the free Wi-Fi

This is one of those shops that's a small, independent, and ethical- the kind I always seek out rather than the big chains. Always great service and price, with shuttle bus service if you can't stick around in their large, clean waiting room. Always took my car there for regular maintenance after the first time I went in for an oil change- the front desk service rep invited me on a local meetup/skyline drive cruise when he found out I drive a "sports" car. When the guys at the front are car enthusiasts and not just someone punching a clock, you know you're in a good place. My clutch gave out and these guys diagnosed it, and gave me the cost and options for resurfacing the flywheel, new clutch kit, etc. Being car savvy myself, I told them I'd source my own parts which they were perfectly fine with. I brought in my car and met with the mechanic doing the clutch change and went over everything. Took less than a day and they charged a very competitive rate, and I knew they'd do it correctly. Car still drives like a dream. These guys are definitely worth going to for honest work at an honest priceif you're in the area. Try them instead of a Jiffy Lube or similar. Sadly I moved a bit out of the area, so now I'll have to find someone else.

1 okay and 1 bad experience; Won't be coming back. Okay Experience- Oil change was done, got a call in the afternoon, said I would be there before closing. Upon arrival, everyone was already gone. I had a flight the next morning, so had to rush over and pick it up then. They did give a small discount for the inconvenience. Bad Experience- Oil change, brake flush, and wanted to see if they could fix an engine issue. I had the issue in March and diagnosed it myself and had it checked out by a different place. The other place said I was good to hold off for a while. Asked Community Car Care if they could fix it since I wanted to give them my business and told them I already looked at it, knew it was an engine issue, from back in March, etc, etc. They said it would cost 15 for the diagnostic. I said fine. Turns out, in person and on the phone, and their employees like to say "One fifteen", meaning One HUNDRED fifteen. For something I can do myself and already told them I did myself. I spoke to two different people at two different times both who said ONE FIFTEEN. Who the hell says that for ONE HUNDRED, for something I explain I can do myself, but I just want to see if they have the capability of fixing the engine issue!? Which they didnt without the dealerships help anyways...... Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of money. Apparently other reviews have similar issues. Should have read them before taking my friend's recommendation.....

Long story short: I highly recommend Community Car Care for routine maintenance (oil change, air filter change, cabin air filter change, tires rotated and balances, inspections, etc.) They are much better and can be trusted more than a chain store. They are, however, not the place to take your cars for repair. The long story: I went to Community Car Care with four new wheels. My old wheels had become corroded and weren't sealing with the tires. In a stop gap measure, I put a product called "Green Slime Tire Sealeant" into the wheels and then was deployed for four months. Upon returning, one tire was completely flat, the other's maintained pressure. I bought new wheels. I inflated the flat tire and brought the new wheels to Communty Care Care (along with the car). I also brought them a power steering pump to install in my car. I gave them instructions to remove the tires from the old rims, clean them up / remove the slime, evaluate them and replace them if necessary, install them on the new rims and balance them using only stick on weights on the inside of the wheel. I also asked them to do an alignment. And, to swap out my power steering pump. The swapped out the tires like champs. All tires checked out. They know tires. They even mounted them so some curb scuffs I had were not visible. They charged only a nominal fee. It was well worth it. They, however, could not do the alignment because the mechanic who used their machine before did not charge the remote sensors that are part of the machine. They freaked out about the power steering pump and recommended I take it elsewhere. (Their hourly rate of $105 is a little steep for the quality of mechanics they have anyway.) All in all, the work they actually did for me was phenomenal. I would recommend coming here for maintenance on your vehicle, over a chain store. They will really take care of you. For repairs, go to a real garage.

Unbelievably great service! I drive from Laurel, MD to come to these guys because they are thorough, honest, and QUICK. Antony, the rep I worked with directly at CCC, provided friendly service, showed me that I needed to fix my rear brake pads (I was getting front brake pads replaced during this trip), and got me in and out within an hour. I’ve waited at plenty of other places to get a similar job done for approximately 3 hours. The difference between CCC and everyone else is night and day. Visit these guys if you want the absolute best service. I know I’ll be back!

I grew up in small town USA where our local mechanic was personable, responsive, and didn't charge an arm and leg to get something fixed. We have been using Community Car Care for 6 months since we moved back to the area for work on our Nissan Titan and Subaru Forrester. The hours of operation, speed of service, price of service, and customer communication are bar none the best I have ever experienced in the area. Jeremy and Eric are exceptional managers and communicators (notice I actually know there names). Highly recommend for any of your vehicle repair and maintenance needs.

I could not have asked for better service. The young an at the front greeted everyone that walked through the door including myself and also checked back every few minutes to be sure that everyone was comfortable. The mechanics were also very friendly and helpful. I went for a simple safety inspection. He was quick and efficient. And just as a good deed, he let me know that my back breaks may need changing soon. From past experiences, some mechanics will wait until your car is close to smithereens before warning you about anything. I had a question about the struts on the car. (I am not big on cars, I just drive them).. The young man explained to me what it was and even allowed me to see a demonstration on his desktop. I was very grateful for the knowledge. The facility was clean and smelt good. (not like motor oil and rubber tires). I have referred a few other people there as well and they have all had great results. Everyone always comes back and say the young man at the front ( I believe his name is Jeremy) They love him!!!!

I recently moved to Virginia and came to this place because it was close to my house and it had great reviews. Once I got there I realized what everyone was talking about. The guys at community car care (Antony, P J, Jeremy, Khalid and Quang) were very nice, honest, professional and treated all costumers with respect. Khalid did my emissions test and inspection. I needed the breaks and rotors replaced on my car which Antony gave me the best quote for. I know this because I called multiple places and couldn't find a better deal. I also used the groupon available. I waited in the comfortable waiting room which had a TV, wifi, water and coffee. Shuttle service was also available but didn't need it since they didn't take long to work on my car. Antony answered every question I asked and updated me on my car while I waited. I was very satisfied with their level of service and definitely noticed the difference with the new breaks. Overall I'd recommend them for anyone and will be coming back for any future auto repairs

Going to an automotive place for an oil change and coming out with a 1k dollar estimate in tuneups etc can be overwhelming. Community Car Care has been my go-to place ever since we moved to Falls Church, and my wife and I haven’t regretted it once. They saved us multiple times when we had just moved and were juggling inspection issues with all of our other moving stress, and ever since they’ve been straightforward and candid when we needed it without ever trying to upsell us. But probably the thing that most sold us on this place was when my sister-in-law was housesitting for us. It was her birthday, and she was getting gas to head into the city and celebrate with some friends, when her car just wouldn’t start. Terrible timing. But the guys at Community Car Care got her in right away, fixed things, and most importantly, helped her feel a lot less stressed about the whole thing. These guys are the best.

If you are looking for a reliably trustworthy, dependable, knowledable, friendly, and clean auto repair shop: look no further. I have taken three different vehicles here over the past few years, and a fourth I almost purchased for an inspection (but did not based on their recommendation), and I always feel like I'm in good hands. Unlike dealer service, where it seems like there is always more recommended service to be done even when there is nothing wrong with the car (Every. Single. Time.), they do the work that is truly necessary and if it does not need to be done they don't spend time trying to convince you otherwise.

Best local car care place. We used to go to Smith's Center which was in the same place. I was worried at first, but they were very friendly, detailed and great price. We went in to find out why our turn signals weren't working anymore. Not only did he check for that, but he did their entire evaluation check. He ended up not charging anything since there want anything really wrong. A big plus is that they have a complimentary shuttle service. The place itself is under renovation and is looking to be a very nice modern interior and space.

I took my car in for a misfiring cylinder. I explained the service I needed (a diagnostic). I was told upfront that the cost for that would be 115$ usd. I agreed. Around 1 pm, I had to call to check in on my car because I had not be reached out to for my car's status. I was informed that I needed new spark plugs, and was suggested a tune up and a steering column replacement. I got a quote for the replacement of the spark plugs being 202$. The tune up was quoted to me at 495$ with the diagnostic fee slashed in half. I said " I cannot afford that". I asked that the spark plugs would be 202. They confirmed. I authorized the service. When I arrived, my total was 332.32. I asked about the price that was listed on the phone, I was told that was the fee WITHOUT the diagnostic service despite the fact that I asked for the total before authorizing the work. So I was blindsided by an extra 100 dollars that I was not aware of. As a bonus, my key was also broken. I arrived with my key in one piece and they handed it to me with the key separated from the fob. They blamed me for not telling them that my key was fragile and did not offer any kind of compensation for the fact that they broke my key and lost the pin that was inside of it. Do not go here.

Expect excellent service and value. By taking the time to investigate the root-cause of a previously expensive headlamp problem I had with my 2012 Mazda6, Community Car Care was the answer to a problem other shops couldn't (or wouldn't) solve. The quality of work was outstanding, the expense was a fraction of what I was paying the chain stores and the staff advised me every step of the way. The service rep showed me the worn part that other shops overlooked, and I have not had another problem with that headlamp since. I had the same 5-star experience with other mechanical repairs and will continue to entrust Community Care Car with my repairs and maintenance.

Avoid this place like the plague. dropped off my car at 7:30 in the morning to have the tires changed and get my inspection done, I asked if the car can be ready by 1:00 PM And the manger was positive and said yes. but unfortunately nothing was done by then. they didnt want to own up to their mistakes instead they were rude. its like a gang out there everybody have tattoos and always ready to start a fight. I had to call the cops in order to have them explaining, that manners are needed in order to run a business. I hop you guys will go out of business very soon.

I am very happy with the level of service and lack of pressure that the management staff showed earlier this year. We picked up a nail and pulled over to the right place. We had our tire fixed and while it was getting fixed we were asked if we were interested in new tires. I originally said no but then ask what they could show me since I needed new tires within 5000 miles. They showed me some good options but then they told me they price match. So I went online and found the best price for the tires they showed me and the next day I was slapping on great tires at a discount. I ended up with 4 new tires at online prices. The manager PJ was easy to work with and his staff was great. I recommend to my friends all the time. Go here now! 4 May Update: Again great customer service. No up-sale on tires or repairs nor pressure to purchase something I don’t need. Fixed one of my tire leaks (minor hole/leak) and recharged my A/C. The staff checked out a few other issues I thought I had and ruled out unnecessary repairs. Thanks again for being an honest company in a high competition industry.

Eric and Jeremy's professionalism throughout my experience at Community Car Care was fantastic. Usually I go to the dealer for service or any issues related to my car. I decided to give Community Car Care a chance and got my oil change which came to $30, which is $60 less than what Acura was charging. Acura quoted me $2300 for recommendations on several things on my car when I brought it there for a 24 point inspection. Community Car Care was honest about the recommendation and you don't find common with mechanic shops. I saved close to $900 alone by sticking with Community Care's recommendation to fix power steering pump, brakes, rotors, spark plugs, transmission fluid, etc. Definitely plan on coming back for my next service and recommending them to others.

I tried this place out being that I drive by it a lot. I took my 1995 Ford F150 for a state inspection. They were polite and very customer driven. The part that influenced me the most about this place is witnessing how they treat other customers. I seen how they helped a lady out with her tire pressure sensors. They didn't find anything wrong and didn't try to charge her for looking at her issue. This shows a true Community Car Care service. Thank you for your great service!

UPDATE: After writing the below review, they did contact me and to my satisfaction explained everything on the bill. They said not everything was immediately needed, but all were items that should be given attention. They were correct on all accounts, and I have since fixed my car and it is back on the road. Thank you for your call back Community Car Care. I had a noise in my car so I took it in and they gave me a bill which was very expensive. Some of the items on the bill were things that I didn't need done. I'm not sure why, they added $1160 for a new timing belt....I just had it replaced 30,000 miles ago, it should last at least 60,000 miles. There was no explanation given for this repair. Also they did not have great customer service.

I've come here a handful of times already and can't say enough good things about this place. It is super clean (even the bathroom!), they have the TV on, tons of great magazines to keep me occupied, but most importantly they do a great job with my car! Reasonable prices and a nice staff who take the time to explain what's going on without secretly trying to up sell you on extra products you don't need. Anything extra they have suggested were totally legit. Great place for oil changes and auto repair!

I own a 2010 Honda Civic. When I bought my car from a dealer they said I only needed to bring my car in every 6K miles. My Dad always said you should have your "Car Check-Ups" every 3K miles. From the female point of view, Sometimes it feels like you just say, "I need an Oil Change" They charge you the highest price for it. Then you don't want to go back. When I brought in my Honda here to Community Car Care, that wasn't the case. Eric, (The Store Manager) was thorough in his explanations of what needed to come first and second and their priorities. I can appreciate that. When my Cabin Air Filter was dirty, he had shown me what mine looked like and then what it was SUPPOSED to look like. I have been to Community Car Care with 3 different vehicles in the past 3 weeks. I took my son's F-150 truck for an oil change. I mentioned to Eric that is was a good thing he came to talk to me on the passenger side of the truck because the window on the driver side had stopped working recently. He said he would have his crew take a look at it. I was expecting a $300 + estimate to replace the the motor in the window, but Eric said there was nothing wrong and got the window to work again. Then I took my Explorer in for an oil change. Once again Eric was very on top of every detail. He suggested a new wipers and when I told him I had just replaced the driver side, but when I put a new one on the passenger side - it was worse than the old one so I put the old one back on. The wiper on the passenger side has never cleaned well in the 8 years I have owned the car. I explained I thought the arm was bent and would just live with it. Once again Eric went the extra mile and worked magic, by bending the arm just a little bit more so the wiper applied more pressure and guess what? The wiper works great now! On my third trip to Community Car Care for yet another oil change on my son's Camry, Eric noticed that the tires on the car were not the correct speed rating. They also show wear on the outer edge due to an alignment issue. They still have some tread in the middle but will need to be replaced soon. He researched and found 3 different tires that had the proper speed rating for the car. One more great thing about CCC is the shuttle. It makes it so easy to drop the car off in the morning and get a ride back home. I am so glad I discovered Community Car Care and that they are right in my neighborhood. I will go back again and again for great service at an honest price. Check them out.

This place is very well run and they explain everything and document it well. They did try to up-sell me on $700 of dubious services (e.g. Power steering flush, radiator flush when my fluid was already perfectly clear etc..) that a quick google search will tell you are only necessary in extreme circumstances. I know that's standard practice at mechanic shops so it is what it is, but be careful!

Thank goodness I took my wife's MINI to Community Car Care for an oil change! A combination of driving conditions and my forgetfulness about regular servicing made a crankcase flush an important addition to this normally routine operation. Eric alerted me to the mucky oil problem, proposed this very reasonably-priced solution, and then took care of it in no time. Any other service location would likely have just done a "business as usual" service, when extra care was in order. Community Care Care is our new auto service location!

Ordered some tires from tirerack and Community Car Care was listed as one of their recommended installers. After checking Google reviews on all the installers listed, I chose CCC not only because they had excellent reviews but because they were reading and responding to the reviews. It's nice to see a business paying attention to customer feedback. I also had them perform my 40k mile service and to let me know if they thought anything else needed attention. I had planned to wait around but they offered to shuttle me back home and to come pick me up again when my car was ready. When I picked up my car, I was scared to look at the invoice but was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable their charges were! Everyone at the shop was very friendly and I felt like they were very transparent and fair in what they recommended and charged. I will definitely be bringing my car back to these guys!

They tested safety first and it failed on a bunch of points; since I was in their waiting room, I feel they should have let me know this so I could have decided if I wanted to bother with the emissions on a car that obviously wasn't going to be street legal anyway.

Last minute Emissions Test went swimmingly! Emission tests begin at 8AM on Saturdays (I misread the time and arrived at 7AM) and they had their first vehicle on the diagnostic machine within the first 15 minutes of arrival. They had an assortment of beverages available, magazines and the charming Jeremy to keep you company as you wait. I live fairly close and will definitely consider them for my routine service. That says a lot being that there is a dealership of my vehicles make directly across the street. Cheers!

This place is the best. Just starting taking my car there over the last few months but everytime I go in there the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. I have lived in Northern VA for over 40 years now. I have seen a lot of auto service shops come and go. It's easy to find a shop to fix your car here. It's easy to find a shop which will overcharge you to fix your car here. What is NOT easy, is finding a shop with friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff, who fix everything right the first time at fair market prices and who don't try and upsell you on a lot of things you and your car really don't need. I get a thorough inspection of my car every time I bring it in. My cars are older and require a lot of special attention now. Frequently, things are pointed out to me that need additional work but, never in an aggressive way. "Hey, we noticed this problem. Here's what you're looking at to take care of that..." If I say no, no is no and away I go. In closing, it can be very daunting for women to find a shop where they and their cars are respected as equally as men. I have frequently observed the staff interacting with female customers and would feel very comfortable recommending my mother or wife or any women in my family take their cars there, too. "If you didn't go to Community Car Care...it's not fixed!"

We started coming here about a year ago and we were very struck by how honest and fair they were. I had to get a tire replaced recently at another repair place (just went there because that is where the tires were under warenty) and they noticed one headlight was out. This other place quoted me at $50+ dollars to replace a light. I came to community car care and they gave me an amazing deal and I was in and out within 10 mins. I found out about this place through Groupon and was highly impressed with their service. I spoke with Jeremy on the phone who was very professional. He was able to get me an oil change appointment within a couple hours. After assessing my car, he told me that my drain plug for the oil compartment was too tightly screwed in and that he would have to replace it. He was very nice and didn’t charge me for the plug (even though I insisted he did). The facility is spacious and clean and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this place.

I met Eric with Community Car Care a while back and he impressed me with his knowledge and genuine desire to help people. He struck me as an honest person so I kept his information in mind for my next car issue. When I developed a vibration at high speeds I contacted Eric, brought my car in and he had it fixed and out of the shop quickly. For a very fair price I might add! It was easy to send my wife there when the check engine light came on. He and his staff once again took action quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Less than a week later I sent my daughter over to look at a electric issue. Just as before he discovered the issue and fixed it cost effectively. Many mechanics just through new parts at every problem. Eric and his staff honestly try to do what's best for the client and this is why he will by mechanic moving forward. Really customer friendly. I'm usually a person who fixes a lot of things on my car by myself. However, the power steering needed to be replaced and I just didn't have the time or space to do it. So, being a widow I need to find a place to take my car and I wanted to find a place close to home. I started researching for a good, reliable, honest place to go. Community Car Care got many rave reviews. I took a chance and have been there about 4 times. My car is getting old, 2003 so it need several things done. They did the work and so far I've been satisfied. All of the guys there are very friendly, respectful and very informative. They explain everything that needs to be done, how long it should take and give me estimates. You also get reward points each time you go and every so often I get a letter or card with $$ off on my next visit. And I love that it's close to my home. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a good place to take their vehicle. Also they have a nice waiting room with TV and coffee.

Just popping in to say that, with the exception of a couple trips to the dealership for some warranty stuff, I haven't taken my car anywhere else in the 5 years since I've moved here. The staff is great, they don't push unnecessary services, and if something can't be done they will tell you (and if they suggest a specialist for whatever problem that is, listen to them - it's going to be good advice).

Worst experience....I went to Community Car Care as I was referred by a good friend of mine. I had to come back to this shop for the same exact thing 3 times. I originally came in because my headlights were out. Less than a week later, my right headlight goes out. Barely a month later, I have to come back after my left headlight goes out. I paid for the diagnostic and in addition to this, I had to wait in excess 3-4 hours both times. On top of that, I've also paid $150+ for something that should have been caught the 1st time. I do not appreciate my time and money being wasted for a non-electrical/wiring problem. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention, I had to pay for an oversight on their end the 2nd time but this 3rd visit, I'm pissed. My recommendation, do not trust your car with this place. I will NEVER come back here.
