Excellent customers service! They did quality work, were able to give me a accurate idea of how long the service would take. I appreciated when was able to tell me up front that they did not have time to complete the work and scheduled me when he had availability. They also did not recommend any unnecessary or optional work - they did the work that was needed only made recommendations based on safety concerns. Finally, they squeezed us in on our first visit because of a safety concern; as this is the primary vehicle for transporting my children I truly appreciated this. They have gained a repeat customer.

I don't recommend going here. Had a slow leak in my tire. They told me I needed a new tire ASAP which would cost $190. Said it looked like I "hit a rock and the tire is not repairable." The tire was not even one week old (had just purchased two new tires at home prior to moving to this area). I left without getting the new tire. They guy even called me later that day to let me know he looked online and couldn't find a cheaper tire anywhere. I went back home for a visit (still driving on my "bad" tire) and had the place I bought the tire from check it out. The reason it was leaking was because the tire had a nail. They repaired the tire for free, and told me American Automotive Tire & Services could have easily done the same thing. I think they were trying to take advantage of a young woman, alone who easily could have believed them.

Had my vehicle towed to American Automotive Tire Pro. Worst mistake. My vehicle ( 09 Toyota Camry XLE) was overheating and radiator fluid was coming out of it. They then called me to tell me I needed a thermostat thermostat seal radiator cap radiator fan assembly and oil change a serpentine belt upper radiator hose. $707.63 later my vehicle was told it will no longer overheat. I did not get the belt fixed this was just a suggestion which was not needed. Seven days later my vehicle is overheating there is no coolant /radiator fluid inside. I Then drove it to them where they are closed for the weekend closed for the holiday. They then do a another diagnostics to tell me that I need a radiator for my vehicle.(say what you guys just “fixed” my car) Advise me that this was not their fault they did tests( which I never got a copy of so who’s to know if it was done) on this and that it did not have issues prior to that. Which I know is a lie I trusted them with my vehicle ask them to fix it to keep it from overheating and a another issue arise and now they’re asking for more money. (Also placed blame on oh well we have been doing service for 34 years.)@@This company is a crook they lie and place blame elsewhere and Band-Aid. I explained the first time when my vehicle was there that I asked for them to fix every thing that was wrong with that they then decided to fix the most expensive item 1st and then not continue to look to see if my vehicle would overheat again this is the only vehicle I have I have a very important day today and need my vehicle to take me to it. My time and money has been wasted with this company I do not recommend anybody go here unless you’d like to continue to keep going here and spending your hard earned money with them for them to continuously find another issue and to pinch money from your pocket within one week I had two separate issues it’s hard to believe that they both were not present at the time when I brought the vehicle there. Their manager Thomas shows no empathy does not care and does not take responsibility for anything. He stated I understand but this is another issue that you would basically need to pay for. I’m a single mother with 2 kids and like any single mother in strapped tight with money. All I would expect that this company do the correct thing. Not charge me for a part again and for labor. The part yes but labor NO you mechanics should of found this issue the first time!!!!

I found American Automotive when I was looking for nitrogen for my tires. I am so glad I did. They are the absolute best. I went to get my safety inspection today and they were quick and thorough. They do everything so if you need any kind of car repair, go to them. They are honest and fair. I'm so happy I found them.

Great people great service. Update... 6/6/2018 You gotta go to these guys. I was already happy with what they had done, but I had to drop my car off for some other maintenance issues they'd found. I was told that they could fix it and get me set for a road trip that was coming up. They checked the car out, fix my issues and I can't tell you how happy I was (am), that the price was oh so nice. Great people a nod to Kevin, Michelle and all the rest. I only bring my car to American Automotive.

I would have rather not given any stars, but it's a must to even start a review. So I'll say my one star goes to the ladies at the front desk. I've never had an issue with them. Always greeted me with nothing more than good basic customer service. I've been to this location sever times, and have spent an abundance of monies at this shop as well. This particular time my car went in for tire issues, oil change, and brakes. None of any of this was done. I did leave with a new headlight because I was told it was out. Still not sure if that was true. After supposedly getting an oil change two weeks later my oil light comes on. I manage to get it to go away, but it continued to come back on. So I told my self to.check my oil. It was empty. I went to the store and purchased 5 qts of oil. I waited to see if maybe my car was leaking or something was left off for my oil to have vanished in 3 weeks. I didn't see any leaks. I called the shop and spoke w Thomas. He was no help and basically told me my car takes 6.5 qrts and I have high mileage. My car burned it all up. I was floored. I was given no solution but to be blamed for high mileage. This was not my first oil change of the year, but first time I've had this issue of my oil vanishing. May we just say no one did an oil change to begin with?????!!! Last time I will ever go to this shop. What happened to customer service. You suck Thomas, and I hope your mom, wife, daughter or any other family member don't ever get treated this way. Do better.

Did a simple rotate and balance. Took 90 minutes... went to leave and they didn't have the correct psi in my tires. So simple to do. Update... so they also forgot to reset my sensors. Went back the following day. On a plus side it only took 10 minutes to correct. Update... threw my truck's center cap on one of my rear wheels. Went back thinking I would have an argument a head of me to replace it. Not the case, Kevin took care of me with no issues. I know mistakes happen and as a customer I am pleased when a company makes right on their work without issues. So, even with the all the issues I moved my rating up two stars from the one. I applaud American Auto for taking care of me.

Went there to get an emissions test done for my truck. Got there at 3pm and left at 5:20pm for a test that only takes 20 minutes. Several people came in after me and left before me. At around 3:30 they parked my truck in a spot where I thought they would be moving it into the bay. That wasn't the case. They were done with it at that point but nobody told me. For an hour and 45 minutes I was looking at my truck waiting for someone to move it into the bay when the whole time it was finished. I didn't now this so I went to the lady at the front desk to ask approximately how much longer I would be waiting and her reply was that nobody ever came in to give her the keys. As she went back to look for them I noticed they were right there at the desk where she had been for the entire time I was in there. Several workers saw me and not once did any of them ask why I was still there. Not a good look for American Automotive Tire Pros!

I took my '09 C350 here after my car suddenly became very rough at speeds above 60mph. I ordered tires off of Tire Rack and they immediately got me in the shop. Larry and the other guys were exceptional from beginning to end. The biggest reason Im leaving this review came from the following day. I got back on the highway the next morning and the vibration had been far worse than it was. I wasnt able to make it to the shop until 5:30 but Larry stayed late and kept working on my car until it was finished. After a road force balance my car drives like its brand new. Ill never go to another mechanic as long as these guys are working here.

WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!!! Do not give this place your business. Simple, I go in for emissions testing. They tell me my evap and o2 sensor systems are not showing a "ready" status needed to be able to do the emissions. Ok, so what do I need to do about that? They tell me go drive it 100 miles and bring it back. Ok done. Bring it back same thing. Then they say "maybe you have an obd code". I'm like ummm well I don't have a check engine light on, can you scan it for pending codes? Get this, they don't have an obd scanner. What?!?!? Are you kidding me? And your a mechanic shop? WOW!!!! So I go to AutoZone, spend $70 on a scanner, no codes. Call them up, what am I supposed to do now? Pretty much got the answer "I don't know, you'll have to look it up". Never have I seen such mechanical incompetence. Called aquia car care, explained the situation, they tell me "oh ya, we see this all the time, no problem at all, we'll get all the systems ready for you, bring it down". Thank God American isn't the only shop in stafford. Bunch of crap. Thanks for nothing.

Went here a few weeks ago to trouble shoot a vibration problem b/c they are so close to where I live and I figured the issue would be very straightforward and any place claiming to be able to do automotive and tire service ought to have been able to handle this. So, came in and described the problem: Highly noticeable vibration from the front occurring between specific speeds, visible front left wheel problem while driving (observed by my husband while he was following in a separate car). Asked them to check balance in the wheels specifically. Lady at the front desk takes some notes on the work order in the computer. The extrememly disheveled and surly mechanic comes in to collect my car and take it into the work area. I should have stopped the transaction right there. I don't expect him to be in a suit or anything, but he should at least meet some appareance and attitude minimum standards. Don't complain about the early hour (it was after 11AM), don't act like having to work on my car is a hassle for you. Don't be dismissive of my concerns. I'm not an idiot. He returns the car about an hour later. Tells me that I needed to buy new tires (a not unjustified observation) and that my problem was that the tires just needed to be rotated and the issue had been fixed. Problem solved with rotation. I didn't really believe him, but paid and left anyway to go find out for myself. It is true that the vibration in the front had been fixed. However, it had simply been rotated into a vibration problem in the rear. If they had bothered to listen to my concerns and do a more thorough investigation into the problem they would have discovered that there was actually a balance problem in what had been the front left wheel and that it was also bent. This was discovered at the second place I took it - somewhere that actually listened to the symptoms I was describing. Turns out American Automotive also left me a little "thank you" in the form of over-torqued lugs that had to be forcibly removed ($$) and then I had to buy new ones to replace the ones their mechanic ruined ($$). Thanks for nothing and don't ever go here.

Great Auto Repair Shop. My husband owns a 20111 Tacoma and was beginning to experience some issues so we decided to go by here, they offer free inspections which was great cause we weren't too sure what was wrong. After they inspected his vehicle, come to find out his truck had a lot more issues than what we were thinking/expecting and it definitely shocked us both. We didn't have the money at the moment and i was stressed out cause I didn't want to just leave the truck on there lot.. But they offered for us to keep it there for a little bit, because it was dangerous to drive his truck at this point ( he had a loose wheel barring). We ended up getting the money we needed, for the most important parts to fix, which they recommended the wheel baring and front two axles be repaired first ( i know nothing about cars, and my husband doesn't know much more than me) so that was very helpful. Now my husband is in the military and had to go out of state for the week, so i was worried about getting my husbands truck afterwards, but they kindly offered to pick me up from my house and bring me back to the shop to pick up the truck. They aren't your typical auto shop, they care about your vehicle and your safety, not money. Thank you so much, and we will be returning soon to get the remaining of the issues resolved. (:

Set appointment up gave them my vintage number told them to order new tires for the truck they ordered 4 it has 6 got here at 8 am told it would take 1 1/2 hrs it's 10:40 I asked when will it be done? 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. The guys working are talking about how the manager fired someone for being late when he's late every day. This establishment is a joke if you want your time wasted GO HERE. Then they couldn't do it 3 hrs to figure out the couldn't Balance the tire. Tire pros my ass.

i dont know much about cars but do what i can to save money.....i have never been to a car place where they tell you a bunch of things that are wrong with the vehicle "but said the issues are not pressing" and to keep fluids full and you should be alight... i appreciate that they only recommend to fix whats was really a major problem.... like almost falling off problem (wheel barings) saved me a ton of money hands down oh yea i have an 01 chevy silverado with 170,000..... you can only imagine what a 17 year old truck that been dogged with work and pulling could have wrong with it

I moved here in August, 2003 with an expired inspection sticker. I asked my neighbor where all the cool kids go to get inspected, he told me American Auto was the place to be. I never looked back, and wouldn't go anywhere else. They take care of all my automotive needs from oil changes to tires, to fixing what I tried to fix myself (more than once!). You can't go wrong.
